Lewis 'Junior' Morrison, age 71, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born October 6, 1944 in Belington, WV, a son of the late Lewis Leonard and Mary Browning Morrison. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Morrison. He is survived by a friend, Charlie Davis and wife Barbara of French Creek, WV; eight sisters, Sylvia Goodwin and husband Sherman of Harding, WV, Maxine Harris and husband Boyd of Leonardsburg, OH, Linda Tenney and husband Toby of Buckhannon, WV, Donna Canfield of Mentor, OH, Kathy McCauley and husband Jim of Clincho, VA, Brenda Westfall of Elkins, WV, Mary Falls and husband Gary of Apple Valley, CA and Denise Skidmore and husband Bob of Jacksonville, NC and five brothers, Raymond Morrison and wife Annette of Orlando, FL, Carl Morrison and wife Pat of Bridgeport, WV, Thomas Morrison of East Liverpool, OH, Gary Morrison and wife Annette of Hanau, Germany and Jody Morrison of MS. Mr. Morrison was a Taxi Driver. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Gareld Poling
Gareld Poling, age 91, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, January 18, 2013 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. He was born September 21, 1921 in Ellamore, WV, a son of the late William Eli and Lavinia Hornbeck Poling. On August 18, 1949 he married Mary Wonyetye who survives of Buckhannon; two sons, Bill Poling and wife Gail and Matthew Poling and wife Mateal all of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Mikaela, Mikenze. Mikinna Poling and Colleen Claypoole and husband Jason all of Buckhannon and great grandchildren, Hannah, Austin, Allie, Bryce and Jenna; one grandson, Luke Eli Poling and wife Rachel of Vandalia, WV and great granddaughter, Meadow; twin brother, Gerald Poling of TX; two sisters, Lorraine Moran of Elkins, WV and Vera Laskowski and husband Sidney of Elyria, OH; four nieces, Linda Sharon Collins of Lakeland, FL, Greta Kuhl and husband Kenna of Canal Fulton, OH, Vera Hammond and husband Bob of Fayetteville, NC and Dotti Jilek and husband Bill of Elyria and one nephew, Robert Cummons and wife Joan of Elyria. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Greta Cummons. Mr. Poling was a Custodian for Moore Business Forms of Buckhannon. He was a member of Nays Chapel United Methodist Church, member of the Middle Fork IOOF, a 50 year member of Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663 and had served in the US Army during WW II. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion and DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Barbara Marks
Barbara Marks, age 81, of Belington, WV died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at her home while under the care of Mountain Hospice. She was born November 23, 1925 at Regensburg, Germany, a daughter of the late Johann Baptist and Karolina Wagner. On August 8, 1948 she married Leo Marks who preceded her in death on July 12, 1980. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. She is survived by one niece, Joy Shingleton of Buckhannon, WV; one nephew, Maurice Tenney, Jr. of MD and special friends, Debbie Orouke of Canton, OH and Herman and Mary Tallman of FL. Mrs. Marks was a Deputy Sheriff in Barbour County and a Catholic by faith. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dennis Edwin McClure
Dennis Edwin McClure, age 79, of Helvetia, WV died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at his home in Helvetia. He was born October 1, 1931 in Hemlock, WV, a son of the late Coy and Iris Scott McClure. On June 30, 1954 he married Mary A. Simmons who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ed McClure and wife Linda of Tallmansville, WV and Tim McClure of Hemlock; three daughters, Shirley Zickefoose and husband Kyle of Tallmansville, Donna Goodwin and husband Don of Buckhannon and Susan Lane and husband Randy of Buckhannon; six grandsons, Marvin Zickefoose and wife Heather of Buckhannon, Steve Zickefoose of Tallmansville, Coty McClure of Burlington, NC, Eric and Brandon McClure both of Hemlock and Connor Lane of Buckhannon; two step grandsons, John Snyder and wife Amy of Weston, WV and Brandon Lane and wife Bobbi Jean of Erwin, PA; two step great-granddaughters, Chyanne Lane of Erwin and Allyson Sutton of Fairmont, WV; four brothers, Arden McClure and wife Norma of Twinsburg, OH, Franklin McClure and wife May of Cleveland, OH, Christie McClure and wife Chrisandra of Helvetia and Charles McClure and wife Margaret of Hemlock; one sister, Kathern Medlin of Peninsula, OH and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Wayne McClure and infant twin daughters, Mary Beth and Ann Marie McClure. Mr. McClure was a member of the Tallmansville Baptist Church. He knew no strangers, loved to hunt and fish and loved his dog Oddie. He worked on the Beech Mountain Railroad and in the sawmill and timber business. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis and the Rev. Bradley Tenney officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery at Hemlock. Betty L. (Hinchman) McQuain
Betty L. (Hinchman) McQuain, age 74, of French Creek, WV, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born March 21, 1936 in Adrian, WV, a daughter of the late Mack and Virgie Simmons Hinchman. On May 30, 1955 she married French Z. McQuain who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia Roembke and husband William of Fort Wayne, IN and Penney Covey and husband Ronald of Fort Wayne; one son, Thomas McQuain and wife Janet of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, William Roembke and Rodney McQuain both of Fort Wayne; four granddaughters, Kristina Bradtmueller, Karla and Kathy Roembke and Leah McQuain all of Fort Wayne; two great-grandsons, Levi and Garret Roembke both of Fort Wayne; one great-granddaughter, Regan Roembke of Fort Wayne; one brother, Russell Hinchman of Buckhannon and four sisters, Katherine Beynon of Maryland, Elizabeth Young of Kansas, Thelma Lake and Jo West both of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Hinchman and one grandchild, she will meet for the 1st time to hold and love him from now until then, Ian McQuain. Mrs. McQuain was a Nurses Aide for Parkview Memorial Hospital and attended Point Pleasant UMC. A Special thanks to Cathy, Linda and Robert. Go rest in peace our loving mother and grandmother, we will always love and miss you. Friends will be received Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor David Jesse officiating. Burial will follow in Point Pleasant Cemetery at Abbott, WV. Alma Marie McCulty
Alma Marie McCulty, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born May 22, 1925 on Brushy Fork, WV a daughter of the late Piatt Bryan Corder, Sr. and Gladys Virginia Goldsborough Corder. She married Donald L. McCulty who preceded her in death on May 13, 2002. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul D. and Edward J. Corder. She is survived by two brothers, Piatt Bryan Corder, Jr. and wife Louise and Alfred Corder and wife Mary Ellen all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Lucy E. Perkins of Orlando, FL, Mary Alice Corder of Buckhannon; many nieces and nephews and special niece Terry Corder Beer Loudin and two special friends, Becky Curry and Jennifer Short all of Buckhannon. Mrs. McCulty was a secretary for the Exponent-Telegram. A graveside service will be held 10 AM at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Philippi, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Phyllis Joann Marple
Phyllis Joann Marple, age 81, of Hodgesville, WV died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at her home. She was born July 11, 1930 on Pecks Run, WV, a daughter of the late Arthur and Vola Kesling Hinkle. On May 10, 1948 she married Edward Earl Short Marple who preceded her in death on June 2, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Loris Hinkle and one sister, Helen Knabenshue. She is survived by two daughters, Kathie McHenry and husband Daniel and Debbie Starkey and husband Tip all of Buckhannon; four grandsons, Dusty McHenry and wife Carmela of Hemlock, WV, Nick Starkey and wife Angie of Sago, WV, Justin Starkey and wife Becky of Tenmile, WV and Trent Starkey of Brushy Fork, WV; two granddaughters, Angie Lamb and husband Chad of Lima, OH and Mistie Cobb and husband Matthew of LA, CA; nine great grandsons; nine great granddaughters; one brother, Zaner Hinkle and wife Dorla of Camp Hill, PA and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marple was a care giver at New Hope Room and Board. She was a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 4-8 PM at the Way of Holiness Church. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the church with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery at Hodgesville. William E. "Bill" McKnight
William E. Bill McKnight, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, May 7, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born October 23, 1932 in Burnsville, WV, a son of the late Edgar Camp McKnight and Annabelle Teter McKnight Taylor. On September 10, 1951 he married Patricia Louise Kuhl who preceded him in death on May 2, 2008. He is survived by four daughters, Debra Hupp and husband Tom of Buckhannon, Aleece Williams and husband Dale, of Buckhannon, Twila Heffelfinger and husband Rich of Charleston, WV and Marsha Gregory and husband Ron of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Tiffany Stanton and husband Dennis of Clarksburg, WV, Samantha Gregory of Buckhannon and Heather Earl of Charleston; four grandsons, Justin Williams of Buckhannon, Brock and Blake Heffelfinger both of Charleston and Jamison Hupp of Greenville, SC; two great grandsons, Trey Stanton of Clarksburg and Casset Earl of Charleston; two sisters-in-law, Dolores McKnight of OH, and Wanda Pratt and husband Kenneth of VA; three brothers-in-law, David Kuhl and wife Marge, Harold Kuhl and wife Vicki and Jerry Brooks and wife Diana all of OH; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and his faithful companion, his dog Buck. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother Byron McKnight. Mr. McKnight was a Christian by faith and member of the Buckhannon Jaycees and Past President of the WV Strawberry Festival Association. He was also a member of USS Terrebonne Parish (LST 1156) Association and several other national organizations, and received awards from Burnsville Alumni, Rotary, WV Strawberry Festival and numerous other organizations. He was the owner of the Wooden Nickel (Dairy King), K and M Mobile Home, Central Towing, U-Haul Rentals and McKnight Sales and Service. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 3-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow at the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens at Heaters, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Joann McCue
Joann McCue, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, December 28, 2012 at her home. She was born November 15, 1931 in Lewis County, WV, a daughter of the late Okie Dale and Eva Mae Weaver Goldsmith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Alfred D. Monk Phillips; 2nd husband, Ellis H. McCue; one daughter, Patricia Phillips Queen and one brother, Jack Goldsmith. She is survived by one daughter, Debra Shreve and husband Kevin of Elkins, WV; three sons, Steven Phillips and wife Kay and Benny Phillips and wife Robin all of Buckhannon and Kerry Phillips and wife Tammy of Cambridge Springs, PA; two grandsons, Dustin Phillips and Joseph Queen and wife Lorna all of Buckhannon; seven granddaughters, Lyndsey Phillips, Crissi Marple and husband Brock, Heather Liggett and husband Mitch and Angie Gould all of Buckhannon, Kayla Phillips and Shelly Barley both of Cambridge Springs and Toni Shreve of Elkins; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McCue was a Personal Caregiver and a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Monday, December 31, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterson Cemetery in Weston, WV. Edna Maxwell
Edna Maxwell, age 69, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Glenville Care and Rehabilitation Center in Glenville, WV. She was born June 24, 1943 in Orlando, WV, a daughter of the late Frank and Nina Alta Shipman Skinner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Williams; second husband, Frank Shumaker; third husband Ron Maxwell and her sister, Anna Louise Crutchfield. She is survived by one son, Terry Williams and wife Sarah Darlene; one daughter April Golden and fianc Anthony Bailey all of Buckhannon; two grandsons Benjamin Williams of Buckhannon and Cody Lee Golden and fiance Kammie Ware of Belington, WV; one granddaughter, Jessica Golden of Buckhannon; two sisters Mary Alice Ryan of Alton, WV and Virginia D. Bennett of Mesa, AZ; one brother Charles Skinner and wife Edna of Mabie, WV; one special niece, Darlena Crutchfield of CO and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Maxwell was a Telephone Operator for Verizon and was a life time member of the Telephone Pioneers of America Chapter #42. She attended the South Buckhannon Mission Church and was also a Salvation Army Volunteer. Friends will be received Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Orlando Cemetery in Lewis County, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ollena Mae McQuain
Ollena Mae McQuain, age 92, of Elkins, WV, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Colonial Place in Elkins. She was born January 30, 1921 in Braxton County, WV, a daughter of the late John Levi and Trudy Grace Keller Dean. On March 4, 1978 she married Billy J. McQuain, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Sue Vincent and husband Skip and Pat Poling and husband Roger, all of Buckhannon, WV; three step daughters, Shirley Ann Lee and Wilma Riffle, both of Buckhannon and Vickie L. McQuain; two step sons, Ronald J. McQuain of Houston, TX and Mark E. McQuain of Austrailia; three grandsons, Robert Bryan Vincent and wife Mayra of Arlington, TX, Tye D. Poling and wife Desiree of Good Hope, WV and Jeffrey D. Harris of Charleston, SC; one granddaughter, Tegan D. Hardin and husband Christopher of Kingwood, WV; great grandchildren, Austin Levi and Rylee Nicole Hardin of Kingwood; great grandchildren, Ashley and Aimee Sanchez and Avery Vincent of TX; two sisters, Mary Trintinik of PA and Rosalie Steele of Sutton, WV and one brother, Samuel Dick Dean of FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jimmie D. Harris; two sisters, Mabel G. Tenney and Dora B. Dean and six brothers, William H., Hayward L., Arden R., Levia J. and Howard Dean and Leonard E. Hopkins. Mrs. McQuain retired from Leonard Memorial Hospital as a nurses aide after eighteen years of service. She was a Methodist by faith. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
