Lenna Mae McCartney
Lenna Mae McCartney, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the St. Joseph's Nursing Care Facility in Buckhannon. She was born November 15, 1928 in Walkersville, WV, a daughter of the late Troy G. and Retha G. Walton Myers. On March 24, 1952 she married Bobby Ray McCartney who preceded her in death on August 20, 2004. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin Leonard, Lanty Lane and Dana G. Myers. Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Ewing and husband Richard of Buckhannon and Deborah Raye McCartney of Ventura, CA; one granddaughter, Erin Albaugh Anderson and husband Mike of Buckhannon; one grandson, Joel Beckwith Ewing of San Francisco, CA; one great granddaughter, Hayden Page Anderson of Buckhannon and special friends Ron and Sandy Murphy of Buckhannon. Mrs. McCartney was an Executive Secretary at Point Mugu Naval Air Station and a member of the Wayside Southern Baptist Church in Buckhannon. Friends will be received Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 2-5 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Monday at the Buckhannon Veterans Cemetery in Buckhannon with burial to follow. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Linda H. McCarty
Linda H. McCarty, age 67 of Volga, WV died Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, WV. She was born October 11, 1947 in Darby, PA, a daughter of the late Ray William Malone and Naomi Jean Whaley Richards. On November 12, 1977 she married Jerry L. McCarty who preceded her in death on January 7, 1999. Surviving are one son, Frank Hommes and wife Vicki of Buckhannon, WV; four daughters, Trina Rae Morgan and husband Greg and Alesia Ann King and husband Robert all of Clayton, NC, Linda Y. McCarty and husband Ronald of Jane Lew, WV and Hope Lee Bossert of Glenville, WV; two stepsons, Alan Ray McCarty and wife Rachel of Lewisburg, VA and Ronald Lee McCarty and wife Linda of Jane Lew; three stepdaughters, Angela Wynne Nelson of Belpre, OH, Michelle Sue Saltis of Flemington, WV and Susan Marie Crosco and husband Carl of Morgantown, WV; twenty grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and two sisters, Sharon Hilliard of Akron, OH and Rita Mowery and husband Jimmy of Clarksburg, WV. She was an Emergency Services Coordinator and a member of The Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon. Friends will be received Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday at The Way of Holiness Church with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery in Hodgesville, WV. Carolyn June McCoy
Carolyn June McCoy, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. She was born June 7, 1936 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Carmel and Flavel McCleary Woods. On August 9, 1958 she married John McCoy who preceded her in death on April 23, 2004. She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca McCoy and husband Roger Young of Frederick; two sons, John David McCoy and wife Anne of Springfield, OH and Tim McCoy and wife Suzie of Buckhannon, WV; four grandsons, Jay McCoy of WA and Michael, Matthew and Duncan McCoy all of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Emma McCoy of Springfield; one great-granddaughter, Cadence McCoy of Springfield; two sisters, Gwynn Woods of Charleston, WV and Barbara Benton of Camp Creek WV; one uncle, John Richard McCleary of Geneva, OH and former daughter in law, Kelly Poirier of Buckhannon. Mrs. McCoy was a homemaker and a member of the Jacksons Mill Quilters Guild. Friends will be received Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 11 AM until 12 Noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 12 Noon Thursday at the funeral home with the Pastor Justin Bowers officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Evie Jane McLean
Evie Jane McLean, age 45, of Weston, WV died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was born December 17, 1969 in Buckhannon, a daughter of Troy Guy Humphrey of Crawford, WV and Norma Faye Sines of Rock Cave, WV. In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sons, Steven McLean and fiance Janet and Patrick McLean all of Buckhannon and Christopher McLean and wife Jamie of Weston; three grandsons, Landon and Jaydon McLean of Buckhannon and Chase McLean of Weston; one granddaughter, Peyton McLean of Weston; four sisters, Charlotte Hall and husband Kenneth of Buckhannon, Paula Tenney of Rock Cave, Debra Bennington and husband Eddie of Crawford and Tonya Bright and wife Tabitha of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and her step-father, Charles Springer of Crawford. Evie was a Beautician. Friends will be received Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 11 AM to 12 Noon, the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Joseph John Mealey
Joseph John Mealey, age 65, of Weston, WV died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his home. He was born July 9, 1950 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Yvonne Mealey Wodzinski Lantz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father, Eugene Earl Lantz; two brothers, Alex Wodzinski and Johnny Mealey, one brother-in-law, Paul Farrabbe; one niece Yvonne Pearl Wodzinski and one great niece, Leann Wodzinski. Surviving are his ex-wife, Paula Mealey of Weston; two daughters, Jody Evans and husband David of Buckhannon, WV and Aaliyah Long of Weston; two step daughters, Brandie Hindman and husband Albert and Christina Goodin all of Weston; four granddaughters, Ambrea Tenney and husband Dusty, Danielle Evans and Hailey Long all of Buckhannon and Amber Dilley of Wheeling, WV; two grandsons, Andrew James AJ Long of Buckhannon and Albert Hindman, Jr. of Weston; one great granddaughter, Myiah Tenney of Buckhannon; five brothers, Peter James Wodzinski and wife Sherry of Romines Mill, WV, Edward Wodzinski and John David Wodzinski, Jr. and wife Beverly all of Buckhannon and Anthony Tony Wodzinski and Eugene Earl Lantz both of Clarksburg; six sisters, Dorothy Hines and husband John of Quiet Dell, WV, Florence Farrabbe and companion Rob Posey, Helene Wodzinski, Regina Labno and husband Skip and Marianna Lowman and husband Dan all of Buckhannon and Blair Kirkland of WV; several nieces and nephews; best friends, William Bill and Sarah Cabic and Gary Moss of Mobile, AL and his beloved dog, Layla. Mr. Mealey was Catholic by faith. Friends will be received Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 1-3 PM the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. Billee Scott Mick officiating. Velma Jean Marsh
Velma Jean Marsh, age 65, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at her home in Buckhannon. She was born February 12, 1950 in Lewis Co., WV, a daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Ann Radcliff Golden. On September 25, 1994 she married Carl Marsh who preceded her in death in February 2013. Surviving are one daughter, Pamela Koon and husband Gaylen of French Creek, WV; two sons Hayward Zirkle of Adrian, WV and Leonard Zirkle of Charleston, WV; four granddaughters, Gabrielle, Savannah, Autumn and Michelle Koon all of French Creek; one grandson, Christian Bryant of French Creek; four brothers, Clifford Golden and wife Krista, Quinton Golden and wife Delana and Clyde and Leonard Golden all of Buckhannon; six sisters, Betty Lanham of Volga, WV, Regina McCoy and husband Charles of OH, Sandra Golden of Horner, WV and Cora Webb and husband Doug, Darlene Cross and husband Keith and Kathy Peyatt and husband Johnathan all of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marsh was a homemaker and attended the Wayside Southern Baptist Church in Buckhannon. Friends will be received Friday, December 4, 2015 from 11 AM to 12 Noon the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Ten Mile Baptist Church in Ten Mile, WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help with funeral expenses. Timothy Dale McDaniels
Shawn Marie Cruikshank McDaniels
Retired State Trooper First Class Timothy Dale McDaniels, age 61, of Marlinton, WV and Shawn Marie (Skunk) McDaniels, age 59, of Marlinton, WV died at their home on Friday, November 27, 2015. They were united in marriage on January 5, 1994. Together they enjoyed travelling, playing scrabble and pulling pranks on family and friends. Timothy was born May 16, 1954 in Lorain, Ohio to the late S.D. McDaniels and Julia Rose White McDaniels. Shawn was born September 26, 1956 in Selma, Alabama to Rev. Robert Cruikshank and Sharon Cruikshank. They are survived by two daughters, Autumn Valine and husband, Ernest of Virginia Beach VA and Hollie McDaniels-Riner and husband Jason of Norfolk, VA and one son, Bradley McDaniels of Marlinton, WV. They share five grandsons, Aaron, Dustin, Hayden, Tripp and Dalton and three granddaughters, Halie, Tipper and Elizabeth. Tim is survived by two brothers, Rev. Ed McDaniels and wife Janet of French Creek, WV and Scott McDaniels and wife Leisa of West Minster, MD, one sister, Laura Page and husband Mike of Buckhannon. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven D. McDaniels. Shawn is survived by one sister, Deborah Hudson and was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Cruikshank II. They also had a special bond with their nieces and nephews who were often recipients of their well-planned shenanigans. Tim was a retired WV State Trooper who served from 1978-1991. He was wounded in the line of duty and received a Purple Heart. He was also a member of the Retired State Trooper Association and the F.O.P. State Police Lodge #107. Shawn worked in several businesses in Marlinton and was an avid supporter of her husbands involvement in the State Trooper Association. Family will receive friends at the Christian Fellowship Church at 56 Fellowship Way, Buckhannon, WV 26201 on Saturday, December 19, 2015 form 11 AM until 2 PM the funeral hour with Chaplain Jim Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery in Selbyville, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the WV Troopers Association, 210 Chesapeake Ave., Charleston, WV 25311. Richard Marshall McKinney
Richard Marshall McKinney, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born March 11, 1940 in Grafton, WV, a son of the late Richard W. and Kathryn Marshall McKinney. On March 31, 1967 he married Judith A. Thomas who survives. Also surviving are one son, Richard T. McKinney of Bridgeville, PA; one daughter, Sara Thomas and husband James of Hopwood, PA; one grandson, Rhys Thomas of Hopwood; three nieces and one nephew. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles F. McKinney. Mr. McKinney was an employment counselor for the State of West Virginia. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church of Buckhannon and the National Rifle Association. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 6 to 9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Helen R. Roy Thurman McKisic
Roy Thurman McKisic, age 82, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, January 8, 2016 at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew, WV. He was born June 23, 1933 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Charles Duncan and Ruth Merle Wiemer McKisic. On April 21, 1953 he married Eunice Opal Reed who preceded him in death on July 28, 2015. He is survived by four daughters, Marsha Melton and husband Dave, Vickie Perrine and husband Larry and Patty Heater and husband Gary all of Jane Lew and Tracy Bleigh and husband Ed of Jacksons Mill, WV; four sons, Roy McKisic, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Elk View, WV, Randy McKisic and wife Lisa of Jane Lew, Bob McKisic and wife Nancy of Rock Cave, WV and Mark McKisic of Buckhannon; seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, a twin sister, Rosabelle Thelma Billingslea of Warren, PA; Jane McCartney and husband Delbert of Heaston Ridge, WV and Vera DuVerger and husband Art of DeBary, FL. Mr. McKisic served in the US Army. Roy was an incredible man who always put his family first. He worked many jobs over the years and retired from Moore Business Forms. He was also a self-taught Blacksmith and Farrier who over the years put shoes on over 25, 000 horses and ponies. He used horse shoes to create many art pieces including chairs and cowboys. He made his own sawmill out of a car engine and used it to make split rail fence which he sold. He cut mining props from trees which he pulled and skidded with his ponies Ted and Smoky and later his Belgian draft horses Molly and Bob. Roy loved all animals and raised pigs and chickens, there were many dogs, but two of his favorites were Tara who passed on and his beloved Ornery who survives and will now live with his daughter Tracy. Friends will be received Monday, January 11, 2016 from 12-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Delmas Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery at Rock Cave. Monzell D. Marple
Monzell D. Marple, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Country Living Personal Care Home in Jane Lew, WV. He was born March 8, 1934 in Hackers Creek, WV, a son of the late Mallalieu and Ethel Hinzman Marple. On April 4, 1953 he married Arlena Blanche Warner who preceded him in death on October 7, 2010. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Earl Marple. He is survived by one son, Mark Marple and wife Connie of Buckhannon, WV; one daughter, Jacqueline Jackie Bennett and husband Bruce of Hodgesville, WV; one granddaughter, Samantha Leput and husband Neil of Short Gap, WV; one grandson, Jeremy Bennett and wife Amanda of Buckhannon and one great-grandson, Lance Leput of Short Gap. Mr. Marple was a Dairy Farmer. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Macedonia United Methodist Church. Monzell was an avid piano player and had played piano in the church since he was 11 years old. Friends will be received Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 3 PM-7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rodney Heckert officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
