Debra Diann Perry
Debra Diann Perry, age 55, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at her home. She was born May 6, 1957 in Buckhannon a daughter of Phillip and Margie Smith Riggs of Buckhannon. On March 6, 1982 she married Danny Perry who survives. In addition to her parents and husband she is survived by one son Timothy Perry and wife Erin of Big Bend, WV; two grandsons, Jonathan and Andrew Perry of Big Bend; one brother, Steven Riggs and wife Cindi and one nephew Casen Riggs all of Rock Cave, WV. Mrs. Perry worked in the finance department at St. Joseph's Hospital. Friends will be received Friday, December 28, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ruby Lee Patterson
Ruby Lee Patterson, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born May 6, 1924 in Bristol, WV, a daughter of the late Emery and Caroline Bumgardner Edgell. On July 2, 1940 she married Wesley Arch Patterson who preceded her in death on February 26, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Greene; one sister, Thelma Dean and three brothers, Charles, Henry, and Adria Edgell. She is survived by three sons, Leonard Patterson and wife Diana of Helvetia, WV, Terry Lee Patterson and wife Judy and Bill Patterson and wife Linda, all of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Dana W. Patterson and wife Andrea of Fairview Heights, IL and Jeff Patterson and wife Debbie of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Marsha Lee and husband Max of Buckhannon, Lisa Davidson and husband Skip of Ashburn, VA, Kathy Patterson of Greensboro, NC and Vikki Rovello and husband Rod of Buckhannon; six great grandsons, Zachary Patterson of Fort Benning, GA, Cody Patterson of Fairview Heights, Nicholas and Christopher Davidson, both of Ashburn, Zachary Patterson and Joshua Rovello, both of Buckhannon; three great granddaughters, Alexis Patterson of Fairview Heights, Whitney Patterson and Ciara Rovello, both of Buckhannon; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; special friends, Veva Smith and David Smith and wife Charlotte, all of Buckhannon. Mrs. Patterson was a homemaker and a retired cook for the French Creek Elementary School. She was a member of the Rocky Ford United Methodist Church, French Creek Ext. Homemakers Club, Women's VFW Aux., Rebekah Lodge #183 and the Retired School Employees Association. Friends will be received 6-8 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Heavner officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, WV. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hampton Cemetery C/O Huelin Linger 680 Stony Run Rd. Buckhannon, WV 26201 or to your favorite charity. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Bobby Lee Perry
Bobby Lee, Perry, age 83, of Tallmansville, WV, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at his home. He was born July 12, 1929 at Tenmile, WV a son of the late David and Edna DeBarr Perry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Ruth Coplean and Imogene Wilfong. He is survived by one son, Douglas Perry of Perry Township, OH; two daughters, Diane Perry of Cleveland, OH and Dawn Perry of Concord, OH; one grandson, Ian Perry of Perry, OH; two sisters, Glenda Bosley and husband David and Maxine Wamsley both of Tallmansville; six brothers, Richard Perry and wife Lorrain of Moundsville, WV, Billy Perry of Buckhannon, Buddy Pete Perry and wife Carolyn of Indian Camp, WV, Arnett Perry and wife Mary of Buckhannon, and David Junior and Kenneth Tim Perry and wife Shelia both of Tenmile. Bobby was a purchasing agent for Diamond Shamrock Co. for 27 Years. He served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953, was a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge # 598, Buckhannon Country Club since 1988, loved golfing and gardening. As per his request he will be cremated and there will be no services. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Donald Lynn Parks
Donald Lynn Parks, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, November 9, 2015 at St. Joseph's NCF in Buckhannon. He was born June 24, 1938 in Barbour County, WV, a son of the late Ira Lee and Edith Dadisman Parks. On November 2, 1968 he married Judith Sharp Parks who preceded him in death on May 28, 1997. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one son, Virgil Parks and one granddaughter, Carly Ren Hall. He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Parks-McIe and husband Jimmie of Volga, WV, Donna Parks of Buckhannon and Angela Parks-Warner and husband Donnie of Huttonsville, WV; eight grandsons, Ricky Smith and Jonathan Grubb both of Buckhannon, Tyler Hall of Morgantown, WV, Dylan Hall of Keyser, WV, Hunter Parks, Kaiden, Cody and Dalton Warner all of Huttonsville; two granddaughters, Judy Ann Smith and husband Jimmy of Buckhannon and Kristen Nesbitt of Morgantown; three great-grandsons, Brian and Cason Smith both of Buckhannon and Waylon Warner of Huttonsville; one great-granddaughter, Alicia Smith of Buckhannon; three brothers, Charles Chuck Parks and wife Jodi of Andrews, NC, Paul Parks and Clarence Pete Parks and wife Beatty all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Sharon Walton of Parkersburg, WV and Kathleen Nestor of Glencoe, AL; several nieces and nephews and a special caregiver and Godsend, Idella Loudin of Adrian, WV. Mr. Parks served in the US Air Force. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Badger Coal Company and he attended the South Buckhannon Mission Church. Friends will be received Friday, November 13, 2015 from 4-7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with funeral services at 7 PM with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors. As per his request, Mr. Parks will be cremated. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Morgan L. Perry
Morgan L. Perry, age 87, of Buckhannon died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at home. He is the son of the late Frank Pierce Perry and Hallie Williams Perry. On March 14, 1953, he married the former Shirley Gwen Andrews who survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Gwen and Stephen Hinzman of South Hill, Virginia and Becky and Kenny Wagoner of Buckhannon; two sons, Frank and Sharon Perry of Sissonville and George and Marianne Perry of Inwood; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mona G. Anglin of Buckhannon and Norma Patty Tenney of Ashtabula, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in in death by one sister Alta Anne Peaches Lewis. Mr. Perry served in the US Army in Korea from 1950 to 1952 and was the recipient of three bronze stars. He attended Mt. Hope United Methodist Church and is a life member of the DAV Chapter 36, VFW Post 3663, and American Legion Post 7, where he served three terms as District Commander. Mr. Perry proudly acted as Commander of the Upshur County Combined Honor Guard presiding over numerous military funerals. He was a member of Franklin Lodge #7 AF&AM where he served as Master for four years; Veterans Nursing Home Committee, Upshur County Farm Bureau, Mt. Hope Water Board, and has served as President of the Service Club for more than a decade. He is a past President of the Upshur County Shrine Club and a past recipient of the Buckhannon Upshur Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award. Mr. Perry valued service to others and his country above all else. This was exemplified by his leadership and participation in other organizations too numerous to mention. Friends will be received Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Anderson and Pastor Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Fork Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted as well as Masonic Rites. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16505. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Elsie M. Queen
Elsie M. Queen, age 84, of Volga, WV died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at her home. She was born on April 3, 1923 In Huntsville, AL, a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Hess) Fanning. On February 27, 1943 she married Junior Earl Queen who preceded her in death on June 29, 1982. Mrs. Queen is survived by three sons, Earl W. Queen of Volga, Roger A. Queen of Weston, WV and John M. Queen of Martinsburg, WV; two daughters, Sharon Smith and husband Homer of Union City, IN, and Joyce Amos of Reynoldsville, WV; five granddaughters, Sharlyn Hickey and husband Bill of Union City, Jennifer Jones and husband Scott of Union City, Crystal Ramey of Winston-Salem, NC, Ronda Queen of Buckhannon, WV and Angela Coontz of Philippi, WV; four grandsons, Jeffrey Dean and wife Kristy of Warren, ME, Joshua Dean of Clarksburg, WV, Christopher Queen of Philippi, and Mark Queen and wife Stephanie of Tazewell, VA; 18 great- grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Fanning of Huntsville, AL; two sisters, Lois Davis of Chattanooga, TN, and Gladys Tipton, Huntsville, AL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son-in-law George M. Amos, III; two sisters Mary Frances Wright and Mary Estelle Fanning, and two brothers, Walter Fanning, Jr. and Jimmy Fanning. She was a devout Christian by faith and a Cook for the Upshur County Board of Education. Mrs. Queen was a very giving person who always remembered birthdays. She was loved by everyone and will be missed by all. She was loved by the children at the Hodgesville Grade School. She retired as a cook with 30 plus years of service. Friends will be received from 5-8 PM on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home with the Pastor Jon Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Quiet Dell, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Burtsil Dane Quick
Burtsil Dane Quick, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born May 17, 1931 on Big Sand Run in Upshur County, WV a son of the late Roma J. and Nina Nora Gooden Quick. On October 2, 1954 Burtsil married Gertrude Nancy Suder who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Ruth A. Riggs and husband Jessie of Caledonia, MS; a grandson, Evan Riggs of Caledonia; a granddaughter, Amy Riggs of Caledonia and a brother, James Quick of MI. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Roger and Harold Quick, one daughter, Linda Quick and four brothers, William Roscoe, Merritt, Harrison and Donald Quick. Mr. Quick retired from West Virginia Wesleyan College Maintenance Department and was a Methodist by faith. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Friday, February 29, 2008 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

James Bradford Queen
James Bradford Queen, age 59, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born September 22, 1948 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of James L. Queen of Buckhannon and the late Rosetta Jenkins Queen. On June 28, 2006 he married Elizabeth A. Floyd who survives. In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by two sons, James Bailey of Edgewood, MD and Kenneth A. Bailey of Painesville, OH; seven stepchildren; four grandchildren; one brother, Gary L. Queen of Warren, OH and two sisters, Diana McGurer of Garrettsville, OH and Sandy Laughlin of Baden, PA. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his 2nd wife, Winnie Marie Williams and one-step son, Earl Roby. Mr. Queen was a Security Guard for Jenkins Ford and a member of the Mt. Union United Methodist Church and a strong believer. Friends will be received Wednesday, July 23, 2008 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Harold A. Langevin, Jr., and the Rev. James Arbogast officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Bend Church Cemetery at Sago, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Edwin M. Queen
Edwin M. Queen, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, March 9, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital NCF. He was born April 3, 1935 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Rev. Quay and Ruth Sutton Queen. On November 26, 1983 he married Wilma Moore who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Donna Barnes and husband John of Hobe Sound, FL; two sons, Joseph Queen of Buckhannon and Daniel Queen of Jane Lew, WV; one step daughter, Dorothy Spearman of Austin, TX; one step son, Kenneth Spearman, Jr. of Ft. Smith, AR; two granddaughters, Danielle Queen and Rebecca Barnes; one grandson, James Barnes; one great-granddaughter, LoRena Diaz-Queen; two sisters, Doris Jean Arnovitz of Cleveland, OH and Eva Kathryn Howes and husband Dayton of Buckhannon; special nieces, Mary Jean Crites and Sharon Allman and several other nieces and nephews. Mr. Queen was a retired electrician for Corhart Refractories. After retirement he took up wood working and had several pieces in the WV Heritage Crafts Co-op. Friends will be received Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8:30 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. He will lie in state on Wednesday from 10- 11 AM the funeral hour at the Reger Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Ogden officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements

William M. Queen
William M. Queen, age 60, of Adrian, WV died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at his home. He was born July 7, 1948 in Randolph County, WV, a son of the late Charles Elmer and Mary Susan Roy Queen. He is survived by a daughter, Angela Marie May and husband Aaron of Chardon, OH; a grandson, Skyler Petkosek of Chardon; two granddaughters, Emily Petkosek and Eleanore May both of Chardon; a fiance, Toni Ennis of Adrian; a step daughter, Sierra Ennis of Adrian; a sister, Dixie Landis of French Creek, WV; half brother, James L. Queen of Buckhannon; two half sisters, Augustine J. Sprouse of Buckhannon and Clara I. Conrad of Century, WV; a special niece, Kristine Shoulders of Buckhannon and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Queen was preceded in death by two brothers Tex R. and Charlton Elmer Queen; two half sisters, Violet Gower and Doris Robison and half brother, Elmer Queen, Jr. Mr. Queen worked in various jobs including for Union Drilling and Roto-Hoe and Sprayer. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Naomi Dawn Queen
Naomi Dawn Queen, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, May 17, 2013 at her home while surrounded by her husband and children. She was born January 2, 1935 in Hodgesville, WV, a daughter of the late Clay and Lucille Westfall Queen. On August 18, 1955 she married Leo Gene Queen who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Debbie Miller of Buckhannon; one son, Michael Queen and wife Amy of Hodgesville, WV; one grandson, Travis Miller and wife Carrie of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Leslie Reese and husband James of Scotts Depot, WV, Maggie and Grace Queen both of Hodgesville; one great granddaughter, Makenzie Egress of Buckhannon; two great grandsons, Brayden and Owen Reese both of Scotts Depot; one sister, Mary Lou Dowell of Hodgesville and two brothers, Fred Queen of Grafton, WV and Basil Queen of Louisville, KY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David Wade Queen and one sister, Nancy Darling. Mrs. Queen was a homemaker. Friends will be received Monday, May 20, 2013 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Mike George and Pastor John Darnall officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
