Mary Pauline 'Polly' Malcolm Ritter
Mary Pauline 'Polly' Malcolm Ritter, age 89, of Hartsville, SC died Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Hartsville, SC. She was born August 20, 1921 in Hattiesburg, MS, a daughter of the late Rev. Monzell and Thelma Courtney Malcolm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Edsel, Junior, and David Scott Malcolm and sister, Sarah McCaskey. She is survived by her husband, Paul B. Ritter, Sr.; sons, Ronald L. Ritter and wife Viola of Aurora Grande, CA, Paul B. Ritter, Jr. and wife Johanna of Hall, WV and Michael L. Ritter and wife Judy of Elkins, WV; daughters, Sondra Sue Gay and husband Thomas of Danville, VA and Thelma Sisson and husband James of Hartsville; brother, Paul Wayne Malcolm of Port Charlotte, FL; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ritter was a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star, The DAR, The Teter CEOs, and the Women's Club of Buckhannon, WV. She also volunteered at St. Joseph's Hospital. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Bethany Baptist Church in Hall, WV with the Rev. Robert Poling and the Rev. Craig Marshall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Chesterfield County, Box 293, Chesterfield, SC 29709. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Paul B. Ritter, Sr.
Paul Blair Ritter, Sr., 91, of Hartsville, SC died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Hartsville, SC. He was born June 18, 1920 in Hall, WV a son of the late Mr. E. W. and Mary M. Ritter and a stepmother Lucy B. Ritter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pauline Malcolm Ritter; brothers, LaVere Ritter, Ralph Ritter; sisters, Dorothy Barker, Faith Edwards, Beatrice Killingsworth, and Maxine Lucille Ritter. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald L. (Viola) Ritter of Arroyo Grande, CA, Paul B. (Johanna) Ritter, Jr. of Hall, WV, Michael L. (Judy) Ritter of Elkins, WV; daughters and sons-in-law, Sondra Sue (Thomas) Gay of Danville, VA, Thelma (James) Sisson of Hartsville, SC; brother, Jennings Ritter of Wilmington, DE; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Mr. Ritter was a member of the U. S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Bigelow Masonic Lodge #52 of Philippi, the Scottish Rite in the Valley of Clarksburg District of West Virginia, the Nemesis Shrine of Parkersburg, and the Order of the Eastern Star of Philippi. He owned and operated B & R Ford in Buckhannon, WV for over 28 years. Private family burial will be at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Philippi, WV with Bigelow Masonic Lodge # 52 AF & AM conducting Masonic Rites and the Buckhannon VFW Post #3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion and DAV Chapters #5 and #36 conducting military honors at the graveside. A memorial service will be held 2 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Bethany Baptist Church, Hall, WV, with the Rev. Craig Marshall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Chesterfield County, P.O. Box 293, Chesterfield, SC 29709. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Claude Calvin 'Booger' Rodrigue
Claude Calvin 'Booger' Rodrigue, age 33, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, March 29, 2013 in Lewis County, WV. He was born August 17, 1979 in Elkins, WV, a son of Claude Calvin and Josephine Warino Reid of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he is survived by one son, Dominik Rodrigue of Buckhannon; three brothers, Gary Rodrigue and wife Angie, Matthew and Michael Reid all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Krystal Bevans and fianc, Matt Rhodes and Brandi Small and husband John all of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and best friend, John Wodzinski of Buckhannon. Friends will be received Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 11 AM until 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to help with the funeral expenses. Steve Rowan
Steve Rowan, age 59, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born September 16, 1953 in Buckhannon, a son of Mary E. Kelly Rowan of Buckhannon and the late Clarden Bill Rowan. On March 3, 1972 he married Sylvia L. Morrison who survives. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by one daughter, Chasity Littler and husband Jason of Buckhannon; one son, Steven Wayne Rowan, II and wife Heidi of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Lainey Rowan of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Brandon and Jadon Littler both of Buckhannon; three brothers, Clarden Buck, Thomas and George Pete Rowan and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rowan was the Owner/Operator of Rowan Construction. Friends will be received Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Spotloe officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Davis Health Systems Foundation Cancer Care Patient Assistance Fund, 801 Harrison Ave. Elkins, WV 26241. Mykal Kaos Roby
Mykal Kaos Roby, newborn son of Michael C. Roby, Jr. and Christina Shelby Fultz Roby of French Creek, WV, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters, Kira Howes and Kyah Roby both of French Creek; paternal grandfather, Michael C. Roby and wife Lynette of French Creek; paternal grandmother, Kristina Roby of Buckhannon; maternal grandparents, Tim and Sandy Fultz of French Creek; paternal great grandmother Julie Dean and husband James of Buckhannon; maternal great grandmothers, Martha Martin of French Creek and Nora Fultz and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandfather, Buddy Jones and paternal great grandmother, Freta Roby and maternal great grandfathers Reatice Fultz and Eugene Martin. A private graveside service will be held for the family at a later date. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Margaret Pearl Ruble
Margaret Pearl Ruble, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Holbrook's Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born August 7, 1937 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Carson and Leona Dawson Overfield. On December 14, 1985 she married John L. Ruble who survives. Also surviving are three sons, David Crook of OH, Tom Crook and wife Irene of OH and Mark Schimone and fiance Tomaka Smith of Morgantown, WV; four daughters, Judy Bachman and husband Mike of French Creek, WV, Vicki Salata and husband Dan of New Springfield, OH, Tracy Samples of Buckhannon and Becky Metzner of Ripley, WV; two step sons, John Butch Ruble of MO and Tim Ruble and wife of MO; one step daughter, Kathy Shackleford and husband Gene of Weston, WV; six grandsons, four granddaughters, three great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters; one step great-grandson and one step great-granddaughter; three brothers, Paul Overfield and wife Vonda Gae of OH, James Jim Overfield and wife Janet of Buckhannon and Everett Lane Overfield and wife Mary of OH; two sisters, Wanee Wesolowski and husband John of OH and Deloris Bunny Jeffries and husband Ronnie of Buckhannon and two sisters in law, Arlene Overfield of OH and Carol Overfield of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Junior, Charles and John Wes Overfield and one sister in law, Levonne Overfield. Mrs. Ruble was a glass cutter. Friends will be received Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 10 AM until 2:30 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Cemetery in Excelsior, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Russell Lynn 'Rusty' Robinson
Russell Lynn 'Rusty' Robinson, age 57, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his home. He was born February 5, 1958 in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Russell Duane and Fannie Viola Riffle Robinson. On June 7, 1975 he married Sharon Bennett who survives. Also surviving are one son, Russell Bub Robinson, Jr. and wife Pamela of Buckhannon; two daughters, Sheena and Shawna Robinson both of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Jenna, Emmy and Dahlia Robinson all of Buckhannon; one grandson, Trevor Robinson of Buckhannon; two brothers, Richard Robinson and David Robinson and wife Diane all of Buckhannon; one sister, Barbara Nelson of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Robinson; one granddaughter, Tanisha Robinson and two sisters, Joyce Fultineer and Debra Robinson. Rusty was a Supervisor for Chesapeake Oil & Gas for 37 years and a member of the Flatbush Hunting Club. Friends will be received Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Shirley L. Rogers
Shirley L. Rogers, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born August 3, 1938 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Ira Raymond and Donice Lee Heavner. On September 6, 1958 she married Robert Bob Rogers who survives. Also surviving are one son, Robert Michael Rogers and Kelly Davis of Buckhannon; one daughter, Lisa Rogers Hinkle and husband Brian of Buckhannon; one grandson, Jeremy Rogers and Taylor Riedel of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Bria Hinkle Hull of Buckhannon and a special family member, Carla Rogers of Buckhannon. Mrs. Rogers was a retired math teacher for the Upshur County Board of Education and a member of the Chapel Hill UMC. She received her Undergraduate in 1959 and her Masters Degree in 1972, both from WVWC. Shirley was a member of Alpha Xi Delta, the Retired School Employees, the Red Hatters, the Welcome Club, Women's Club, The Class of 56 and the Emeritus Club at WVWC. She loved to golf, bowl, square dance, quilt and sew and was an avid Bridge player and she started the Bridge group at the Senior Center. Mrs. Rogers loved spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Helen Oates officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanham Cemetery in Queens, WV. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Upshur Parrish House 68 College Ave Buckhannon, WV 26201. William E. Ryan, Jr.
William E. Ryan, Jr., age 79, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, February 5, 2016 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born August 27, 1936 in Belington, WV, a son of the late William E. and Elma Price Ryan. On December 31, 1955 he married Roxanna Burkhammer who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Wayne Ryan and wife Peggy L. of Oakland, MD and Gregory Alan Ryan and wife Kay of Frankfort, KY; one daughter, Denice Fay Farnsworth and husband Larry of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Jodie Lamb and husband Derrick of Buckhannon, Andrea Hines and husband Billy of Oakland and Emily Katherine Barnes of Buckhannon; three great-grandsons, Connor Gear and Parker Lamb both of Buckhannon and Malaki Winebrenner of Oakland; one great-granddaughter, Carly Barnes of Buckhannon; three brothers, Ronald Butch James Ryan and wife Betty of Belington, WV, Kenny Ryan and wife Mary of Elkins, WV and David Ryan and wife Tammy of Belington; three sisters, Linda Beresford and husband Ivan of Martinsburg, WV, Sandy Mier of Belington and Jaynie Scott and husband Bob of Valley Bend, WV and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Thomas Ryan. Mr. Ryan was a serviceman for Southern States. He was a member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. Mr. Ryan was a member of the Coon Hunters Club, the Beagle Club in Buckhannon and was a Master of Hounds and Bench Show Judge for the Coon Hunters Club. Friends will be received Monday, February 8, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Buckhannon. Eli James Riffle
Eli James Riffle, infant son of Steven Riffle and Tara Davis of Buckhannon, died Thursday, February 25, 2016. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Kyle Riffle of Buckhannon; one sister, Maycee Riffle of Buckhannon; paternal grandmother, Donna Courtney and husband John of Buckhannon; paternal grandfather, Steve Watkins of Grafton, WV; maternal grandmother, Vicki Sprouse of Weston, WV and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Eli was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Jeffrey Davis. Friends will be received Monday, February 29, 2016 from 11 AM 12 Noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 12 Noon Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery in Hodgesville, WV. Launa Reeder
Launa Reeder, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, August 2, 2007 at her home. She was born on October 2, 1921 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Johnson Dee and Bessie Mae (Gaston) Adams. She is survived by one son, Earl Edgell and wife Martha of Buckhannon; two daughters, Janet Stump and husband Ted of Buckhannon, and Alicia Luttman & husband John of Portland, TX; two brothers Johnnie Adams of VA, and Charles David Adams of OH; also 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Mrs. Reeder was preceded in death by one daughter, Arah Moloney; five brothers, James, Gail, Garlton, Arlton, and Dennis Adams; and one sister Cosby Hollinger. She was a homecare giver and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles, Moose and the VFW of Buckhannon. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Poling- St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Eva Kathleen Reed
Eva Kathleen Reed, age 90, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at the United Hospital Center of Clarksburg, WV. She was born on May 29, 1917 at Sago, WV a daughter of the late Frank and Veva (Tenney) Casto. On August 25, 1934 she married Dana Reed who preceded her in death on October 28, 1989. She is survived by three sons, Clifford Reed and wife Arlene of Buckhannon; Richard Reed of Buckhannon, and Ronald Reed and wife Joyce of Buckhannon; two Daughters, Wilma Jean Posey and husband Wayne of Hereford, AZ, and Carolyn Sue Pick and husband Paul of Harrisonburg, VA; 11 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and one sister, Armillis Reese of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by two brothers Arnold and Oliver Reed, and two sisters, Ethleen Black and Pauline Lane. She was a homemaker and attended the Sago Baptist Church. Friends will be received from 1-2 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday at the funeral home with the Reverend Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Bend Cemetery at Sago.
