Icie I. Rice
Icie I. Rice, age 97, of Rock Cave, WV died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was born January 30, 1912 in Eden WV a daughter of the late Franklin and Mamie Bennett Baxa. On May 5, 1930 she married James M. Rice who preceded her in death on January 20, 1957. She is survived by six sons, Neil Rice of OH, James Rice of Parma, OH, John Rice and wife Dorothy of French Creek, WV, Jerome Rice of French Creek, Garry Rice and wife Hollie of Elria, OH, and Thomas Rice and wife Rita of French Creek; one daughter Carolyn Clutter and husband Glenn of Thornton, WV; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son Mark Rice; seven brothers, Edward, Howard, Sherman, Roy, Delbert, Arie and Johnny Baxa and two sisters, Clara Curkendall and Vergie Watkins. Mrs. Rice was a Homemaker and a member of the Eden United Methodist Church in Eden WV. Friends will be received 6-8 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Rice Cemetery in Canaan, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

David S. Reed
David S. Reed, age 61, of New Carrollton, MD died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD. He was born April 20, 1948 in Hyattsville, MD, a son of Virginia L. Tucker Reed of New Carrollton and the late Stanley Reed. In addition to his mother he is survived by one sister, Patricia Robinson of Falling Waters, WV. Mr. Reed was retired from the US Navy as RMC, served in communications during the Vietnam War. He also retired from the Federal Govt. as a postal worker. Friends will be received Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Sunday at Reed Cemetery at Tallmansville, WV with the Rev. Robert Poling officiating. the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Martha L. Rice
Martha L. Rice, age 69, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. She was born October 4, 1940 in Elmira, NY, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Bowes) White. On January 17, 1959 she married Frederick Gene Rice, Sr. who preceded her in death on November 17, 1999. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Ann (Rice) Butts of Buckhannon and Trina Rossi of Clarksburg, WV; three sons, Frederick Rice, Jr. of Buckhannon, Donald Rice and wife Sherri of Newport, Al and Clifford Allen Rice of Buckhannon; one brother, Robert White of Vaneton, NY; one sister, Corrine Molone of Elmira and ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rice was a homemaker and a member of the Way Of Holiness Church. Friends will be received Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Lois Jean Rice
Lois Jean Rice, age 74, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born August 5, 1935 in Queens, WV, a daughter of the late Roy F. and Mary Margaret Grogg Armstrong. On September 2, 1951 she married Richard Lairl Rice who preceded her in death on June 15, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Genevieve Tottie Smith. She is survived by three sons, Jerry W. Rice of Buckhannon, Richard L. Rice of Brownhill, PA and Randy G. Rice of Tallmansville, WV; three granddaughters, Erinn Rice of Louisville, KY, Erica Rice of Ona, WV and Christan Marie Small of Buckhannon; three grandsons, R.W. Rice and Richard D. Rice both of Tallmansville and Randy Neal Rice of Buckhannon; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Duard Buck Armstrong of Wheeling, WV; one sister, Kathleen Katie Blakley of Warren, OH and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rice retired from Krogers and was an EMT. She was a member of the End Time Ministries. Graveside Services will be held 10 AM on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV with the Rev. Jerry Murrell officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund, c/o Patty Strader, 44 College Ave., Buckhannon, WV 26201. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. Roscoe L. Rexroad
Rev. Roscoe L. Rexroad, age 91, of Nellas Nursing Home in Elkins, WV died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. He was born May 24, 1919 in Upshur County, WV a son of the late James Letcher and Sarah Alice Frum Rexroad. On November 30, 1938 he married Eva Gladwell who preceded him in death on September 19, 2009. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and C. Arden Rexroad and three sisters, Iva Martin, Bessie McGowen and Fonda Mick. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rexroad served in the U.S. Navy During WWII. He was a member of the United Brethren Church and a minister. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Sue Lowther officiating. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Billy Ray Reed
Billy Ray Reed, age 70, of French Creek, WV went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Hospice Care In-Patient Center in Elkins, WV. He was born August 13, 1940 in Buckhannon, WV a son of the late William and Christine Bonner Reed. He is survived by his former wife, Jennie Reed of French Creek; three sons, Billy Edward Reed and Roger Neil Reed and wife Vicky all of Buckhannon and Brian Edward Reed of French Creek; three daughters, Jennifer Dunlavy of French Creek, Lucy Beckner and husband David of Adrian, WV and Emmy Reed of Rock Cave, WV; 21 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and two sisters, Freda Skidmore of Buckhannon and Nancy Hamrick and husband Ralph of Excelsior, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sara Reed Powers; three sisters, Ruth Reed, Liz Sims and Dottie Judy and six brothers, Ralph, Junior, Richard, Robert, Wayne and Neil. Mr. Reed was an Auto Detailer at Bud Bennett Motors and Upshur Motors. Friends will be received Monday, March 14, 2011 from 5-8PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral Service will be held 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mabel Glenna Ramey
Mabel Glenna Ramey, age 91, of Pickens, WV, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Elkins Regional Convalescent Center in Elkins, WV. She was born February 22, 1922 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late George and Olive Plum Beavers. On November 1, 1969 she married John J. Ramey who survives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Dallas Beavers and three sisters, Guilse Wilfong, Rolena Wilkins and Mateel Booth. Mrs. Ramey was a waitress. She was a member of the Farm Women's Club and the Rebekahs. A graveside service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Pickens Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. Joseph Shreve officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Frances L. Tenney Riegel
Frances L. Tenney Riegel, age 87, of Ellamore, WV died Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Nellas Nursing Home in Elkins, WV. She was born February 21, 1928 in Czar, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Everett and Louisie Tenney Heater. On August 21, 1960 she married Macil Riegel who survives. Also surviving are three sons, David Tenney and wife Mabel of Ellamore, Gary Tenney and wife Frances of Buckhannon and Marion Riegel of Ellamore; four daughters, Leona Krupp of PA, Millie Jean Bohon and husband Tony of Norton, WV, Mildred and husband Ed of VA and Linda George of Buckhannon; seven granddaughters, four grandsons, several great-grandchildren and one sister, Thelma Trees of GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Luther Tenney who died in 1959; twin sons, Bobby and Billy Tenney; three sisters, Agnus Poling, Vorlet Heater and Myrtle Louis and three brothers, McClellan and Charles Heater and Arthur Tenney. Mrs. Riegel was a homemaker and a member of the Sand Run Baptist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 12 Noon until 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jimmie Lee Ratliff
Jimmie Lee Ratliff, age 82, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at his home. He was born March 4, 1933 in Upshur Co., WV, a son of the late Hugert Jake and Zenna Fidler Ratliff. On August 3, 1957 he married Anna Dell Lantz who survives. Also surviving are one son, Glenvil Ratliff and wife Melanie of Coalton, WV; one daughter, Pamela Yeager of Belington, WV; two granddaughters, Jamie Riggleman of Elkins, WV and Deena Schonk and husband Bruce of Cumming, GA; three great grandsons, Jacob Michael Lewis and Ethan Riggleman both of Elkins and Tristan Schonk of Cumming; one great granddaughter, Teagan Schonk of Cumming and three sisters, Kathryn Ricottilli of Coalton, Ima Jean Goodwin of Buckhannon and Emma Jean Cross of Morgantown, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Billie Ratliff. Mr. Ratliff served in the U.S. Army with the 11th Airborne as a Paratrooper during the Korean Conflict. Jimmie was the owner of Jims Tire Service in Ellamore, WV. He was a member of the Mt. Rupert UMC, the American Legion Post #29 in Elkins, the NRA and the Rough Grouse Society. He loved to grouse hunt and watch football. A graveside service will be held 3 PM Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the Talbott Cemetery in Talbott, WV with the Rev. Jack Bohman and the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the graveside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Rupert UMC 2694 Old Elkins Rd. Buckhannon, WV 26201. Poling-St. Clair Funeral is in charge of the arrangements.

Tonya Rene Radcliff
Tonya Rene Radcliff, age 42, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, November 13, 2015 at her home. She was born February 20, 1973 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of Ray Cutright, Jr. of Buckhannon and Carol Elbon Grose and husband Bob of Buckhannon. On November 17, 1991 she married Shawn Radcliff who survives. Also surviving are; one son, Christopher Shawn Radcliff and significant other Laken of Buckhannon; two daughters, Shawnna Rene Radcliff and significant other Corey of Findlay, OH and Brittany LeAnne Radcliff Heathcoe and husband Josh of Buckhannon; three brothers, Danny Cutright and wife Jill, Rick Cutright and Robert Grose and wife Jessica all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Debra Simons and husband Roy and Brenda Allen and husband Jim all of Buckhannon; father and mother in law, Jack and Mary Smith of Weston, WV; brother in law, Chad Smith of Weston; sister in law, Katrina Smith of Weston and brother in law, Mark Johnson of Buckhannon. Tonya was preceded in death by her sister, Diana Cutright; paternal grandparents, Ray and Pauline Cutright and maternal grandparents, Frank and Norma Jean Elbon. She was a Christian by faith and the Owner of Radcliff Boxer Kennels. Friends will be received Monday, November 16, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon. Macil Wayne Riegel
Macil Wayne Riegel, age 87, of Ellamore, WV died Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Nellas Nursing Home in Elkins, WV. He was born September 3, 1928 in Rusk, WV a son of the late Paul and Annie Mae Brain Riegel. On August 21, 1960 he married Frances Heater who preceded him in death on August 16, 2015. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Margel and Paul Riegel, Jr. He is survived by one son, Marion Riegel of Ellamore; one daughter, Linda George and companion Rodney Cassidy of Buckhannon, WV; two step sons, David Tenney and wife Mabel of Ellamore and Gary Tenney and wife Frances of Buckhannon; three step daughters, Leona Krupp of PA, Millie Jean Bohon and husband Tony of Norton, WV and Mildred and husband Ed of VA; seven step granddaughters; four step grandsons; several step great-grandchildren and one brother, Eldon Riegel of Mabie, WV. Mr. Riegel served in the US Army. He attended the Sand Run Baptist Church and was a mechanic. Friends will be received Monday, November 23, 2015 from 12 Noon -1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors. Paul Freeman Reed
Paul Freeman Reed, age 90, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his familys home while under the care of Peoples Hospice. He was born October 28, 1925 in Red Rock, WV, a son of the late Foreman Wilber and Nora Belle Kittle Reed. On June 4, 1948 he married Betty George who survives. Also surviving are three brothers, Corbin Reed of St. Clair Shores, MI, Willard R. Reed and wife Sharon of Hammond, LA and Gerald M. Reed and wife Sally of Warner Robins, GA; four sisters, Phyllis Wilfong, Naomi Criss and Marion Boothe and husband Tom all of Buckhannon and Rosemary Hughes of Mineral Wells, WV; special family members, Clinton and Judy Peck of Buckhannon and their children, Olivia Spencer and husband Nathan and Dillon Peck all of Buckhannon and soon to be grandson, Jeremiah Spencer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Foreman Ray and Charles E. Reed and one sister, Evelyn Reed Miller. Mr. Reed served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Wadsworth during WWII. He was a retired Water Plant operator for the City of Buckhannon. The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Ali Kahn and Nurse Virginia Cutlip. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
