Rev. Luther B. Tenney
Rev. Luther B. Tenney, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born July 21, 1920 in Big Bend, WV, a son of the late John and Letta Bryon Tenney. On February 22, 1969 he married Glenna L. Wilfong who survives. Also surviving are three step daughters, Helen Toth and husband Dan of Cleveland, OH, Betty Tsuldin of Cleveland and Rosemary Thompson and husband Joseph of Yakima, WA; four step sons, Merrill McCray and wife Jiana of Jacksonville, FL, Franklin and Walter McCray both of Cleveland and Danny McCray and wife Mary of Canton, OH; eighteen step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one step daughter, Carolyn Caputo; three brothers, Wilbert, Dana and Jason Tenney and one sister, Loretta Casto. He was a minister and a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 4-6 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Reger Cemetery at Teter, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Shirley Ann Sunderland
Shirley Ann Sunderland, age 73, of Massillon, OH died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Laurels of Massillon Nursing Home in Massillon. She was born July 25, 1942 in Upshur Co., WV, a daughter of the late John Harold and Thelma Slaughter Shipman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Shipman. Surviving are two sons, Richard Lee Shockey of Massillon and Ronald Eric Shockey and wife Barbara of Canal Fulton, OH; one grandson, Jayson Shockey and wife Sara of Canal Fulton; one granddaughter, Jesica Gauder and husband Dusty of Canal Fulton; two great granddaughters, Madeline and Alivia Shockey both of Canal Fulton; two great grandsons, Jackson Shockey and Brody Gauder both of Canal Fulton; two sisters, Marlene Baldwin of Massillon and Evelyn Beckner of Buckhannon, WV and two brothers, Robert Shipman and wife Faye and Johnny Shipman and wife Myrtle all of Buckhannon. Friends will be received Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. J Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Marie Ulderich
Marie Ulderich, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, December 28, 2012 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born November 26, 1931 in Bergoo, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Oley and Zetta Hamrick Rhodes. On August 25, 1950 she married Leonard Paul Ulderich who preceded her in death on April 14, 1982. She is survived by two sons, Kenna Ulderich of Rock Cave, WV and Jesse Ulderich and wife Dee of Ellenboro, WV; one daughter, Sandra Cook and husband Jim of Pineville, WV; one granddaughter, Lori Ulderich Harvey and husband Jeff of Buckhannon; four grandsons, Gary Hickman and wife Heather of Washington, PA, Michael Hickman and wife Crystal of Bridgeport, Jeremy Ulderich and wife Tracy of Charlestown, WV and Jason Ulderich and wife Misty of Belington, WV and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ulderich is one of twenty-five children, thirteen brothers, McClellan, Jim, Lloyd, Arthur, Everett, Charles, Raymond, Forrest, Willie, Harry, Ralph, Ronald and Earl and eleven sisters, Donna, Faye, Wretha, Margie, Alice, Roseanna, Louemma, Emma, Emma Jean, Rettie and Georgie. Mrs. Ulderich was a Nurses Aide at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon and a member of the Nays Chapel Church. Friends will be received Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 1-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 2 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jeremy Ross Tenney
Jeremy Ross Tenney, age 33, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at his home. He was born April 6, 1976 in Elkins, WV, a son of Carl Eugene Tenney of Ellamore, WV and Christina Petrice Tenney of Coalton, WV. On July 2, 2005 he married Kelly Ann Walsh who survives. Also, surviving are one son, Graham Eugene Tenney of Buckhannon; maternal grandmother, Lucy Rossi Petrice of Coalton and paternal grandmother, Mary Ford Tenney of Buckhannon. He was preceded in death by one sister, Carla Marie Tenney, maternal grandfather, William Petrice, Sr. and paternal grandfather, Simon Tenney. Jeremy was a 1994 graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School, attended Fairmont State & Glenville State College and was a truck driver for Lowes. Friends will be received Friday, November 13, 2009 from 4-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Allen Westfall and the Rev. Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery at Hemlock, WV. In lieu of flowers an educational fund has been established for Jeremys son Graham. Shirley Jean Carr Swearingen
Shirley Jean Carr Swearingen, age 76, of Winchester, VA died Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Amerisist Assisted Living in Stephens City, VA. She was born October 17, 1939 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late William Lee and Dema Almarta Zirkle Carr. On September 16, 2012 she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Lee Swearingen. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Michael Carr and William Lee Carr, Jr. She is survived by one son, Mark Swearingen of Gore, VA; three sisters, Janet McCord and husband Lawrence of Accident, MD, Delores Chapman and husband James of New Castle, WY and Debra Carr of Belington, WV; two brothers, Willard Carr and wife Beverly of Elizabeth, PA and Ronald Earl Carr of DE and four sisters-in-law, Gail Swearingen of Arapahoe, NC, Nancy Hill and husband Cliff of Oriental, NC, Carol Swearingen of Las Vegas, NV and Patsy Carr of Grafton, WV. Mrs. Swearingen was a secretary for the US Dept. of Navy and was active in her local church. Friends will be received Friday, February 19, 2016 from 9 AM 10 AM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton, OH. Gilbert Edward Thomason
Gilbert Edward Thomason, age 82, of Queens, WV died Sunday, December 3, 2006 at his home. He was born April 12, 1924 at Long Run, WV, a son of the late Edgar Poling and Pearl Thomason Zickefoose. On July 3, 1953 he married Arabelle R. Chewning who survives. Also surviving are one son, Gary Edward Thomason of Belington, WV; four daughters, Anita Wright and husband John of Queens, WV, Susie Perkins and husband Virgil of Ivy, WV, Twiggy Tapscott of Queens and Bobbi Lynn Thomason of Queens; five brothers, Alex Poling of Maryland, Roger Poling of Buckhannon, Darrel and Carrol Zickefoose both of Ohio and Harold Zickefoose of French Creek, WV; ten sisters, Virginia Kyle of French Creek, Mary Wilson of Rock Cave, WV, Deloris Madden of Ohio, Hilda Hanifan of Queens, Betty Miller of Buckhannon, Gereta Cutright of Ohio, Ilene Arbogast of Maryland, Betty Phillips of North Carolina, Dot French of Maryland, Ellen Ketchom of Maryland and Genellia Yoakum of Ellamore, WV; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gilbert Eugene Snoop Thomason; two brothers, Lairl Poling and Lonzo Poling and four sisters, Juanita VanDevender, Maude Flores, Icie Chewning and Doreen Poling. Mr. Thomason was an oil well driller for Union Drilling, Sam Jack and Fox. He was a Baptist by faith. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 5, 2006 from 3-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Miller and the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanham Cemetery at Queens, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Etta Suder
Etta Suder, age 76, of Weston, WV died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Nellas Nursing Home in Elkins, WV. She was born June 9, 1939 in Mt. Nebo, WV, a daughter of the late Archie and Lena Yoakum Suder. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Suder and two sisters, Bertha Tenney and Clara Suder. She is survived by one brother, Roy Joe Suder and wife Helen Charlotte of Norton, OH and one sister, Gertrude Quick of Buckhannon, WV. Etta was a homemaker and was a Sunday School Teacher at Mt. Nebo Church where she served as President of the Methodist Youth Fellowship. Friends will be received Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 10 AM 11 AM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with a funeral service being held at 11 AM with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Nebo Church Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Michael Rodger Mikie Trusler, Jr.
Michael Rodger Mikie Trusler, Jr. age 17, of Gaines, WV, died Friday, April 10, 2009 near Adrian, WV as a result of an automobile accident. He was born May 31, 1991 in Buckhannon, WV a son of Michael Rodger and Mary Perrine Trusler of Rock Cave, WV. In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother William Lee Trusler; one sister Missy Trusler both of Rock Cave; maternal grandmother Erma Perrine of Rock Cave; paternal grandparents Lewis and June Cooper of Buckhannon; Cousin Donald Perrine of Hinkleville, WV; several aunts, uncles and other cousins; several loving friends and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by one brother Rodger Clinton Trusler; maternal grandfather Luther Perrine and paternal grandfather Rodger Trusler. Michael was a student at Buckhannon-Upshur High School and an avid coon hunter. Friends will be received 4-8 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the Canaan Church with the Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Church Cemetery. Everett Paul Smith, II
Everett Paul Smith, II, age 42, of Delbarton, WV formally of Buckhannon, WV, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, WV. He was born May 1, 1964 in Buckhannon, a son of Carolyn Ann Black Smith Brown and husband Bud of Buckhannon and the late Rev. Everett Paul Smith Sr. In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by his wife, Kimberly Carpenter Smith; two daughters, Brittany Dawn and Kelley Danielle Smith; two sisters, Donna Thomason and husband Ben of French Creek, WV and Delorse Ann Smith of Buckhannon and grandmother, Ivy Shipman of Buckhannon. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Everett Paul Smith, III. Mr. Smith was a Heavy Equipment Operator and a Strip Foreman having worked for Appalachian Fuels of Buffalo, WV. He attended the Jesus Way Church of Belfry, KY. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, Wednesday, November 8, 2006 from 5-9 PM with a special service at 8 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the funeral home with the Rev. Ravin Fields and Rev. Okey Varney officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Stanley Jack Wilt, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the St. Joseph's Nursing Care Facility. He was born on January 5, 1924 in Upshur County a son of the late James Audra and Nora Riggleman Wilt. In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Anna Ruth Wilt. He was survived by one sister Oneta Pritt Stone of Buckhannon; two brothers, James Junior Wilt of Winnabow, NC, and Robert Ray Wilt of Morgantown, WV; a special niece Jean Howard of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wilt was a truck driver and a protestant by faith. He served in the U.S. Army. Friends will be received Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 1 to 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron McCauley officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Wilma Tenney Landis Shipman, age 60, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born on March 27, 1946 in Elkins, WV, a daughter of Audra Mabel Scott Tenney of Middlefield, OH and the late Denver Tenney. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary Kenneth Landis; one granddaughter, Rachel D. Riley and three sisters, Carolyn Sue Tenney, Dorothy Lue Tenney and Mabel Tenney. In addition to her mother she is survived by one son, Gary A. Landis and wife Jennifer of Warren, OH; six daughters, Connie L. Lee and husband Robert of Marlinton, WV, Cathy A. York and husband Ben of Boone, NC, Wilma G. Riley and husband Jimmy of Buckhannon, Hilda V. Shipman and fiance Roby Teter of Elkins, Holly M. Kelley and husband Steven of Tallmansville, WV and Amy E. Kelley and husband Greg of Tallmansville; six brothers, Loyd D. Tenney of Gatesmill, OH, Roger Tenney and wife Hilda of Dayton, TX, Jerry Tenney and wife Belinda of Burton, OH, Floyd Tenney and wife Betty of Resno, GA, Forest Tenney and wife Neva of Mineral Ridge, OH and Charles Tenney and wife Vicky of Anchorage, AK; three sisters, Wilda DeMoss of Middlefield, Cora Jeanie Balog and husband Glen of Orwell, OH and Nancy Copus and husband Jim of Findlay, OH; six half brothers, Randy Tenney and wife Robin of Buckhannon, Denver Buck Tenney and wife Edith of French Creek, WV, Walter Tenney of Ohio, Ernist and Burkit Tenney, both of Buckhannon and Chris Tenney of Ohio; four half sisters, Angel Wargo and husband Tom of French Creek, Crystal Warner and Cindy Miner, both of Ohio and Connie Wilkins of Jane Lew, WV; her ex-husband, Jim Shipman of Big Bend Ridge, WV; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
