Janet Louise (Queen) Wilt
Janet Louise (Queen) Wilt, age 62, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, November 22, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born July 23, 1948 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late William Kenneth and Nellie Waugaman Queen. She is survived by two daughters, Denise Dee Brown and husband Thomas of Buckhannon and Tami Jo Wilt of Buckhannon and a student at A-B College in Philippi, WV; one grandson, Zach Post and wife Courtney of Elkview, WV; two brothers, Lowell and wife Anita (Karickhoff) Queen and Randall and wife Loretta (Woody) Queen all of Buckhannon; one sister, Carol Jean Walton of Buckhannon; former husband, Steve Campbell of Buckhannon; former husband, A. Price Wilt of Moorefield, WV; many special nieces and nephews and many special great-nieces and great-nephews. Janet graduated with the BUHS Class of 1966. She had worked at Clow Corporation, Union Drilling and Moore Business Forms. She had worked part time at L & H Pipeline in Buckhannon. She was a member of the Way Of Holiness Church and enjoyed the many members of her church family and the activities and fellowship she was included in. She also enjoyed music and singing. She was a former 4-H Leader and CEOs member in the Lewis County Community of Vandalia. Friends will be received Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 3-5 PM & 6-8 PM at The Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon. Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Monday at the church with the Rev. Jerry Murrell and the Rev. Dave Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorentz Cemetery in Lorentz, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in Charge of the arrangements.

Williamene E. Shipman
Williamene E. Shipman, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was born November 26, 1922 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Goff and Sylvia Zickefoose Lanham. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Shipman was a homemaker. As per her request, she will be cremated. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Kathleen L. Vance
Kathleen L. Vance, age 46, of Ellamore, WV died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born December 10, 1966 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of Tom and Mary Stanton Williams of Elkins, WV. On June 29, 1991 she married Mark Vance who survives. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by one daughter, Sarah Vance of Buckhannon; one son, Matthew Vance of Ellamore; one granddaughter, Emma Kathleen Vance of Buckhannon; two brothers, David Williams of Jane Lew and Kevin Williams and wife Elizabeth of Ellamore; three sisters, Angie Kimble and husband Tim of Belington, WV, Diana Williams of Cassidy, WV and Betsy Martin of Beverly, WV and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Franklin Williams and a niece, Alysha Faith Williams. Mrs. Vance was the owner and operator for Alterations by Kathy and a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Friends will be received Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Monday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Ron Nikodem, S.M. as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Vincents Catholic Cemetery in Kingsville, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements

Edith Evona Tallman
Edith Evona Tallman (nee Edgell), 95, of Vermilion, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 at Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness. Evona was born May 13, 1917 in Kedron, WV. She had been a Vermilion resident since 1954. Evona worked as a nurse's aide for nursing homes, home health care and as an aide to various individuals. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vermilion. Evona had been a volunteer for the Second Harvest Food Bank, and she loved going to rummage sales. She is survived by her sons, Roger (Sue) Tallman of Monroeville, Gary (Nadyne) Tallman of Elyria, Freddie L. Tallman of Vermilion, and Lynn E. (Diana ) Tallman of Vermilion; 3 step daughters, Pat Bombac, Beth Alheit and Lynne Dowell; 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; great, great grandchildren; 1 great, great, great grandchild and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilson V. Tallman, second husband Myron "Bud" Alheit; parents, Earl and Dora (nee Whetherhult) Edgell; sons, Edgel Wayne and Wilson V. Jr. Tallman; sister, Marie Mills; brothers, Verl and Larry Edgell; 1 great granddaughter and 1 great, great granddaughter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 from 2:00 pm until the time of a funeral service at 4:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion, Ohio. Pastor Jamie Stewart will officiate. Friends may also call Friday, Feb.8, 2013 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, 95 S. Kanawha St., Buckhannon, WV from 10 :00 am until the time of a funeral service at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church Ladies Sunday School Class, 6716 West River Road, Vermilion, Ohio, 44089 or the Tallmansville Fire Department, Washington District Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Gary Steven Scott
Gary Steven Scott, age 44, of 10 Nona St. Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born February 7, 1963 a son of the late Daniel R. Scott and Shirley Ann Westfall Scott who survives in Buckhannon. In addition to his mother he is survived by his companion, Donna Gaines of Buckhannon; two brothers, Frank Dickerson and Warren Butch Mitchell; five sisters, Glenna Stepenson, Diane Betler, Melissa Kurial, Teresa Dickerson and Tina Boyette. Gary was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Daniel Scott. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Wednesday, March 7 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Westfall officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Richard H. 'Jay' Tusing, Jr.
Richard H. 'Jay' Tusing, Jr., age 23, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday January 31, 2013 in Buckhannon. He was born June 8, 1989 in Winchester, VA, a son of Richard Howard Tusing, Sr. and his step mother Virginia of Tunnelton, WV and mother Mellie Lipscomb Henthorne and step-father David A. of Buckhannon who survives. On March 11, 2011 he married Paris Labno who survives. In addition to his parents and wife he is also survived by one son, Richard Howard Moe Tusing III of Buckhannon; one sister, Nicole Grimm of Buckhannon; one half-sister, Sandra Richards of Preston Co., WV; two step brothers, Randy Lee and Christopher Henthorne both of Clarksburg, WV; his father-in-law, Skip and Regina Labno of Buckhannon; one grandmother, Pearl McGinnis of Kingwood, WV; two nephews, Anthonie Ant and Matthew Mattie Jeffrey both of Buckhannon; three nieces, Maggie Thomas of Buckhannon, Emma and Samme Richards both of Preston Co.; Several cousins and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by one grandmother, Mary Lipscomb; two grandfathers, Fred Lipscomb and Richard Bolyard and one niece, Whitney Hager. Mr. Tusing was part of the Military Police in the U.S. Army. He served in Iraq and was stationed with the 363rd MP Company out of Jane Lew. Friends will be received Sunday, February 10 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Sandra Sue Lewis Tenney
Sandra Sue Lewis Tenney, age 67, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, WV. She was born May 4, 1942 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of Edith Mae Bodkns Lewis of Elkins, WV and the late Worthy J. Lewis. On March 23, 1962 she married Delmas Tenney who survives. In addition to her mother and husband she is survived by three sons, Timothy R. Tenney of French Creek, WV and Christopher A. Tenney and Shawn. V. Tenney both of Buckhannon; two daughters, Annett Light and husband Raymond of Tennerton, WV and Amber Beth Tenney of Buckhannon; three sisters, Judy Marco and husband Jerry of Coalton, WV, Janet K. Lewis of Elkins and Rita Tallman and husband Joe of Tallmansville, WV; three brothers, Robert Lewis and wife Sue of Mill Creek, WV, Ronald Lewis and wife Sharon of Baltimore, MD and Terry Lewis and wife Evelyn of Elkins; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tenney was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers and was a Methodist by faith. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Doris L. Tenney
Doris L. Tenney, age 91, of Rochester, NY, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Kirkhaven Nursing Home in Rochester. She was born June 30, 1919 in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late Mary Scearse Worsham. On October 21, 1945 she married Phay Edward Tenney who preceded her in death on July 27, 1973. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Hartsel and one granddaughter, Melanie Post. She is survived by one son, Phay Edward Tenney, II and wife Amy of Buckhannon; one daughter, Amy Tenney Post and husband Edward of Webster, NY; one grandson, Jonathan Post and wife Korey of Rochester; three great-grandsons, David Mills, Alex and Jacob Post all of Rochester and two great-granddaughters, Jessica Mills of Rochester and Stephanie Rich of New York, NY. Mrs. Tenney was a homemaker and had worked for the Upshur County Board of Education as a secretary for the ESEA Title 1 Program. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buckhannon and a member of the North Roanoke Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA. Friends will be received Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10 AM Wednesday at the Heavner Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Roseanna Vandall
Roseanna Vandall, age 50, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, February 6, 2011 at her home. She was born July 1, 1960 in New Brunswick, NJ, a daughter of the late Russell and Margaret Bates Demark. On April 6, 1998 she married Donald Vandall who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Robert Demark of Philadelphia, PA, Frank Joas, III and Donnie Vandall, Jr., both of Buckhannon; three daughters, Alyssa Lubonski, Eileen Ludwick and husband Robert and Margaret McCallion all of Berlin, NJ; two granddaughters, Makayla and Chloe Ludwick both of Berlin; three brothers, David Demarco and wife Karen of Woodstown, NJ, Dennis Demark of Clayton, NJ and Darin Demark of Berlin and two sisters, Dawn Clifford and husband Melvin of Vineland, NJ and Darlene Connolly and husband Michael of Franklinville, NJ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Demark, III and one sister, Donna Aldrich. Mrs. Vandall was a homemaker. William B. "Bill" Sayre
William B. 'Bill' Sayre, age 76, of Miami, FL died Friday, March 9, 2007 at Baptist Hospital in Miami. He was born June 7, 1930 in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late William Brown and Lucretia Judith Curry Sayre. On October 11, 1953 he married Marjorie Wiles, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Timothy W. Sayre and wife Terri of Loxahatchee, FL and Theodore W. Sayre and wife Dawn of Miami; one daughter, Emily Chestnut of Deltona, FL; two granddaughters, Tiffany and Holly Chestnut, both of Deltona and two sisters, Mabel Martin of Buckhannon and Juanita Linger of Frederick, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Cobzi Chandler. He was a banker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Buckhannon. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Tuesday, March 13, 2007 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will held 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Chandler officiating. Burial will folllow in the Heavner Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Marion Madeline Shreve
Marion Madeline Shreve, age 73, of St. Albans, WV died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV. She was born September 14, 1933 in Pickens, WV, a daughter of the late Rudolph Emanuel and Dora Madeline Longden Balli. On August 9, 1953 she married Dixie Lee Shreve who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Timothy Newton Shreve of Houston, TX and Daniel Lee Shreve of Charleston, two daughters, Lois Madeline Handley of St. Albans and Ruth Ellen Durr of Anchorage, AK; seven grandsons, Erik Shreve of Dallas, TX, Nathan Shreve of Auburn, CA, Christopher Shreve of Charleston, Garrett Shreve of Charleston, Matthew Handley of St. Albans, Franklin Durr of Anchorage and Brian Durr of Anchorage; four granddaughters, Tracy Shreve Bellew of Burbank, CA, Sarah Handley of St. Albans, Rebecca Handley of St. Albans and Hannah Shreve of Charleston and one brother, Edward Thomas Balli of Buckhannon, WV. Mrs. Shreve was an Office Manager of West Virginia University and also worked for Central National Bank in Buckhannon, the Mineral County Board of Education, the City of St. Albans, Farmers and Merchants Bank and Monongahela Soil Conservation District. She loved to garden, sew, collect coins and stamps, working with houseplants and cooking. Her Balli grandparents came to the Pickens Area from Switzerland. She was a member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church at St. Albans. Friends will be received Friday, March 30, 2007 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Loretta Isaiah officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Rupert Church Cemetery at Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the elevator fund at St. Andrew UMC, 815 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans, WV 25177. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
