Ronald Russell VanHorn
Ronald Russell VanHorn, age 54, of French Creek, WV died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born January 21, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late William and Ellen Kent VanHorn. On September 12, 1975 he married Dorothy Ware who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Richard Snyder and wife Dawn of Bangor, PA and Ronald McCarty and wife Melissa of Buckhannon, WV; three daughters, Tammy Snyder of French Creek, Tina Steuer and husband Robert of Stroudsburg, PA and June VanHorn and Floyd Edwards, III of French Creek; six grandsons, Nicholas Snyder of Stroudsburg, Richard Snyder, III and Justin Snyder both of Bangor, Tristan Neighburgur of Buckhannon and Troy and Tanner Sheehan both of Helena, MT; six granddaughters, Crystal and Faith Steuer both of Stroudsburg, Camilla Snyder of WV, Kiona VanHorn, MaKayla and MoNea Edwards all of Buckhannon; six brothers, William VanHorn, Lester VanHorn and wife Elaine, Chester Pork VanHorn and wife Jean, James Jimmy VanHorn, Lenny VanHorn and wife Linda and Henry VanHorn and wife Bev all of PA; five sisters, June Babe VanHorn, Mary Lockwich and husband Dave, Sis VanHorn and Jean VanHorn all of PA and Donna Salazer and husband Roberto of Buckhannon; countless nieces and nephews and dear friends, Mark and Terry Sandt of PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Terrence and Lawrence VanHorn. Mr. VanHorn was a contractor and a member of the South Buckhannon Mission Church. Friends will be received Friday, September 25, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Lowther officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Lynn (Wagner) Vaughan
Mary Lynn Wagner Vaughan, age 46, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV after an extended illness. She was born on August 12, 1963 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Robert S. and Helen R. Oldaker Wagner. She is survived by her husband Dennis Vaughan of Buckhannon. In addition to her husband she is survived by her close friend Bonnie Moore of Buckhannon; three aunts, Dorothy Hill of Marietta, GA, Kathleen Aul of St. Augustine, FL and Betty Pierce of Hastings, FL. Mary graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1982. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her friends and family very much. She was a member of the Buckhannon Union Mission Church and past member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Estes officiating. Burial will follow at the Heavner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be considered in Mary's memory to the National Kidney Foundation. Steven Carl Vizgaudis
Steven Carl Vizgaudis, age 42, of Clarksburg, WV died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at his home. He was born July 7, 1967 in Auburn, CA, a son of Sandra Tankersley Taylor of Ponca City, OK and the late Fred Vizgaudis. In addition to his mother he is survived by step father, Michael Sexauer of Ponca City; one daughter, Paris Wamsley and husband Alton, Jr. of Buckhannon, WV; one brother, Phillip Vizgaudis and wife Marian of Fountain, CO and maternal grandfather, Carl Tankersley of Ponca City. Steven was a cook. Private family services will be held at a later date. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Billy Joe Vandall
Billy Joe Vandall, age 49, of Volga, WV died Sunday, August 15, 2010 on the road near his home. He was born July 8, 1961 in Wilmington, DE, a son of D.L. Wimpy and Emmojean Redden Vandall of Buckhannon, WV. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Karen Moore Vandall of Sewell, NJ; one brother, Donald Vandall and wife Roseanne of Buckhannon; three nephews, Donnie Vandall and Frank Joas both of Buckhannon and Bob DeMark of Philadelphia, PA and one niece, Alyssa Lubonski of Berlin, NJ. Mr. Vandall was a surveyor. He was a Little League Coach for over 20 years in Franklinville, NJ. At the request of Billy he will be cremated and there will be no services. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Lucy M. Wilmoth
Lucy M. Wilmoth, age 93, of Volga, WV died Thursday, January 4, 2007 at her home. She was born July 16, 1913 in Gilmer County, WV, a daughter of the late Denny and Beulah Robinson Canter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Roscoe Wilmoth who died on February 12, 1974; one son, William Buck Wilmoth; three daughters, Helen Wilmoth, Barbara Green and Wilma Ellyson; three grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by one grandson, James O. Wilmoth and wife Michelle of Buckhannon who took care of her; four brothers, Doc Canter, Jack Canter and Gay Canter all of Buckhannon and Bill Canter of Volga; four sisters, Teressa Neuzman of Buckhannon, Jote Fitzgerald; Betty Bowman and Jean Claypool both of Buckhannon; daughter in law, Scottie Ables and husband John of Buckhannon; nine grandchildren; two step granddaughters; one step grandson; twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Wilmoth was a homemaker. Friends will be received Saturday, January 6, 2007 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Pam Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery at Hodgesville, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Paul A. White
Paul A. White, 82, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at his home. He was born July 10, 1924 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Sherman and Dessie Rohr White. On November 12, 1948 he married Mildred Jane Jack White who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mary Jane (White) Jack and husband Bob of Buckhannon; two sons, David E. White and wife Janice of Bellingham, WA and Paul Robert White and wife Rose of Kittanning, PA; three grandsons, Brian Jack and wife Stephanie of Buckhannon, Jason Jack of Buckhannon, and Paul Andrew White of Kittanning; four granddaughters, Nicole Coe and husband Tim of Buckhannon, Jennifer White of Kittanning, Danielle White of Kittanning, and Amanda Purdie of Bellingham; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Herbert and Okey White and three sisters Eunice Kirk, Musean Paladino, and Sylvia Cole. Mr. White was Owner and Operator of Whites TV Repair and was a Member of the Sand Run Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Friday, October 20, 2006 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the Sand Run Baptist Church on Saturday at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Donald Butcher officiating, Mr. White will lie in state Saturday from 1-2 the funeral hour. Sherman 'Junior' Wilfong
Sherman 'Junior' Wilfong, age 69, of Tallmansville, WV died Thursday, October 19, 2006 at his home. He was born June 22, 1937 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Sherman and Kate Strader Wilfong. On July 21, 1984 he married Inez J. Riggs McCourt who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Sandra Small of Buckhannon, WV; two step sons, Joseph McCourt of Tallmansville and Samuel McCourt of Buckhannon; two step daughters, Debra Orsburn and Patricia Wamsley, both of Tallmansville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one infant child. Mr. Wilfong was a mechanic for Basin Survey and a Methodist by faith. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Frank B. Bartlett Post #7 American Legion, VFW Post # 3663 of Buckhannon, B.P.O.E. Lodge # 1736 and the Upshur County Farm Bureau. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Monday at the funeral home with Karen Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park. Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, VFW Post # 3663 and DAV Chapters # 5 & 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside.

Isephine Mina Westfall
Isephine Mina Westfall, age 95 of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at her home. She was born March 18, 1911 at Centralia, WV, a daughter of the late Jonce Camden and Georgia Ochletree Barker. On November 17, 1928 she married Freeman Westfall who preceded her in death October 29, 2001. She was also preceded in death by one son William Burton Westfall; two brothers Herbert and Ben Barker; five sisters, Mary Hickman, Gertrude Hinchman, Geraldine Gibson, Leon Wyant, Leatha Winters; half sister, Linkie and two step grandsons, Darrell Gene Hawkins, II and James Walter Hawkins. Mrs. Westfall is survived by three sons, Bennie Westfall and wife Alice of Morgantown, WV, Jerry Freeman Westfall and wife Carol of Charleston, WV and David Allen Westfall and wife Carol, of Stonewood, WV; one daughter Martha J. Cerullo and husband Mike of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Michael Westfall of Buckhannon, Jody Westfall of Greensboro, NC, Mark Westfall of Buckhannon, Bradley Westfall of Grafton, WV, and Brandon M. Cerullo of Baltimore, MD; three granddaughters, Debra L. Rauh of Washington D.C., Anissa Fetty of Buckhannon and Rebecca L. Vincent of Fairmont, WV; one step granddaughter, Andrea Drapela of Leesburg, PA and 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Westfall was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Friday, November 24, 2006 from 6 - 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the funeral home with the Rev. Ressie Robison officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park. Poling- St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Okey Wright
Okey Wright, age 59, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, February 08, 2007 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born March 22, 1947 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Archie and Beulah Sothen Wright. On December 19, 1998 he married Linda Zickefoose Wright who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Tonya Langbien and husband Fredrick of Buckhannon; three step daughters, Beverly Powers of Pickens, WV, Jayme Mick of Weston, WV, and Lauren Mick of Buckhannon; six grandchildren; five brothers, Aubrey Wright of Barbour Co., WV, Denver Sothen of Baltimore, MD, Robert Wright of Buckhannon, Donnie Wright of Buckhannon and David Wright of Buckhannon; six sisters, Pauline Williams of Barbour Co., Geraldine Oldaker of Buckhannon, Maxine Chipps of Baltimore, Oreta Everson of Barbour Co., Bonnie Holms of WA, and Icie Harrison of Smith Mt., VA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters, Montana Ball, Josephine Fortney and Mary Wright. Mr. Wright was a skilled trades worker for Corhart Refactories and was an EMT for the Upshur Co. Emergency Squad for 20 years. He served as the EMT board president for 10 years, took part in many advanced training exercises and was a CPR instructor. He was a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge #598 and a member of the Sand Run Baptist Church. Friends will be received Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Sand Run Baptist Church where he will lie in state from 10 to 11 the funeral hour with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Russell 'Sonny' Wilson
Russell 'Sonny' Wilson, age 63, of Rock Cave, WV died Friday, April 6, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. He was born May 15, 1943 in Roane County, WV, a son of the late Denver and Dolpha Paxton Wilson. On September 27, 1969 he married Barbara V. Mooney who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Carlos Wilson of Elkins, WV and Russell Wilson, Jr. of Rockford, IL; two daughters, Cassandra Wilson of Rock Cave and Rhonda Wilson of Belvedere, IL and two sisters, Rebecca White of Clarksville, TN and Anna Mae Carpenter of Tryon, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Brisendine and Evelyn Wilson. Mr. Wilson was an Equipment Operator. Friends will be received Monday, April 9, 2007 from 11 AM 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Carpenter and Ed Reger officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Richard W. Westfall
Richard W. Westfall, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Holbrooks Nursing Home in Buckhannon. He was born March 20, 1924 in Tallmansville, WV, a son of the late Fred C. and Lula (Duley) Westfall. On February 16, 1974 he married Virginia (Hall) Westfall who survives. Also surviving are one step son, Norman Smallridge of Calcutta, OH; two step grandsons, Michael and Robert Smallridge of East Liverpool, OH; three sisters, Wilma Levers of Buckhannon, Doris Williams of Buckhannon, and Mary Westfall of Weston, WV; two brothers Fred Westfall, Jr. and Joe Westfall both of Buckhannon and one step great grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Howard, Franklin and Carlos Westfall and two sisters, Detha Kimble and Betty Westfall. Mr. Westfall was a truck driver. Friends will be received Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from 6 to 9 PM at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Stackpole presiding. Burial will follow in Westfall Cemetery on Tallmansville Rd. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Darleen C. Westfall
Darleen C. Westfall, age 62, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, July 9, 2007 at the home of her daughter under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. She was born June 22, 1945 in Buckhannon, a daughter of Osie Mitchell Moore of Buckhannon and the late Howard Campbell. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Hollen and husband Rob of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Mandy, Abby and Tessa Hollen all of Buckhannon; three sisters, Lois LaFontaine of Buckhannon, Carol Ochs of Woodbridge, VA and Tammy Campbell of Buckhannon; special cousin, Sonja Bayless of Lost Creek, WV and former spouse, Fredrick P. Westfall of Buckhannon. Darleen was an Insurance Agent. For many years she worked as a real estate agent/broker and was the owner and operator of County Wide Properties. She was also a licenced real estate appraiser and insurance agent for Monumental Life Insurance. She was a member of the Light of Life Church of Fairmont, WV. Friends will be received Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the St. Joseph's Hospice. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
