Sterlin George 'Wimpy' Wright
Sterlin George 'Wimpy' Wright, age 70, of Buckhannon, WV, Heavner Grove Community, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at his home. He was born October 8, 1939 in Franklin, WV a son of the late George Sherman and Margie Anna Moats Wright. On August 18, 1962 he married Margaret Elaine Hall who survives. Also surviving are one son, Richard S. Wright and wife Gloria M. of Buckhannon; one daughter, Leslie Wright Munro and husband Anthony of Atlanta, GA; two granddaughters, Jennifer Chenoweth of Atlantic City, NJ and Ashley Munro of Atlanta, GA; two grandsons, Charles Chenoweth of Indianapolis, IN and Nicholas Munro of Atlanta; two great granddaughters, Kara Chenoweth of Buckhannon and Mija Chenoweth of Dayton, OH; one great grandson, Christopher Chenoweth of Fairmont, WV; two brothers, Harry Wright of Franklin, WV and Dewayne Wright of Morgantown, WV; and one brother-in-law, Bill Hall of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Elisha Wright, three brothers and four sisters. Mr. Wright was a retired Coal Miner and was presently driving the van for the Senior Center. He was a member of the Sand Run Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Monday, July 19, 2010 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Peoples Hospice PO Box 1680, Clarksburg, WV 26302. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements

Dorn E. Westfall
Dorn E. Westfall, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, April 18, 2011 at Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born April 24, 1946 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Dorn Lewis Pete and Virginia Dawson Westfall. On November 12, 1971 he married Sandra J. Allen who survives. Also, surviving are one son, Alan Westfall of Buckhannon; two brothers, Frank Westfall and wife Connie of Pennsboro, WV and Roger Westfall and wife Loretta of Ten Mile, WV; five sisters, Mary Russell and husband Nelson, Marlene Wagoner and husband Teddy, Shirley Landis and husband Larry and Sue Spotloe and husband Ken all of Tallmansville, WV and Wilma Kelley and husband Gary of Salem, VA and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Westfall was a coal miner. He was a member of the Tallmansville Baptist Church and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War with the 199th infantry Brigade. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and being with friends and family. Friends will be received Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 4-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis and Alan Westfall, his son, officiating. Burial will follow in the Ten Mile Baptist Cemetery at Ten Mile. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Kaleb Michael Wilfong
Kaleb Michael Wilfong, age 20, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. He was born May 4, 1991 in Elkins. He is survived by his father and step mother, Brian and Christina Wilfong of Hambleton, WV and his mother and step father, Kathy and Michael Marsh of Jane Lew, WV. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Jessica Rhodes and husband Danny of Lumberport, WV, Daniele Wilfong and BreAnne Marsh both of Hambleton; one brother, Brennon Marsh of Hambleton; maternal grandparents, David and Genevie Owens of Roanoke, WV; paternal grandfather, Keith Wilfong of Parsons, WV; nephew, Damian Rhodes of Lumberport and several friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Wanda Wilfong. Kaleb was a student at WVWC and worked as an intern for Mountaineer Mart. Friends will be received Saturday, July 16, 2011 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Carolyn Shreve officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Weston, WV. Rosetta May Woofter
Rosetta May Woofter, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, WV. She was born November 6, 1930 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Frederick and Elvyn Slaughter Ware. On February 15, 1949 she married Robert D. Woofter, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1990. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Gilbert, Dorsey, Denzil, Galord and Robert Ware. She is survived by three daughters, Mary A. Woods and husband Rodney of Buckhannon, Linda Honaker of Amma, WV and Donna Wimer of Buckhannon; five sons, Frederick D. Woofter and wife Shirley, Thomas G. Woofter and wife Patty, Michael C. Woofter and wife Karen and David W. Woofter and wife Wendy, all of Buckhannon and Steven R. Woofter and wife Florida of Weston, WV; two sisters, Pauline McCrobie of OH and Janice Harr of Davis, WV and one brother, Frederick Ware of Buckhannon; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Woofter was a homemaker and a member of the New Life Tabernacle of Buckhannon. Friends will be received Monday, October 3, 2011 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor William Mooring officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery. Fern Arleta White
Fern Arleta White, age 65 of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at her home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. She was born May 3, 1946 at Imperial, WVa daughter of the late Orval Delbert and Icie Bell Tenny Sipes. On April 30, 1972 she married William Bill White who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by three brothers, Troy D. Sipes and wife Joann of West Lake, OH, Roy E. Sipe and wife Lillian of Ellamore, WV and Billy R. Sipe of Buckhannon; five sisters, Stella L. Springer of North Ridgeville, OH, Waneta B. Cappotto and husband Joseph of Conway, SC, Corene Rowan and husband Cecil, Sherry A. Lawson and Linda L. Sipe all of Buckhannon; 18 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews and special caregiver Juanita Andrews of Rock Cave, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Ruth O. Linger. Mrs. White was a homemaker and a Methodist by Faith. She was very special and will be missed by her family and friends. Friends will be received Friday, November 11, 2011 from 12-1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral Service will be held at 1 PM at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Ten Mile Baptist Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV. William Mark 'Giggles' Winemiller
William Mark 'Giggles' Winemiller, age 53, of Helvetia, WV died Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Alexander, WV. He was born April 24, 1958 in Elkins, WV, a son of the late Omer and Katie Sneberger Winemiller. He is survived by one brother, George Winemiller and wife Marilyn of Gassaway, WV; three sisters, Katherine Harris of Elkins, Charlott Polly Hull and husband David of Helvetia and Carolyn Sue Hamilton and husband Bill of Buckhannon, WV; five nephews, Brian Hull and wife Christine, Jamie Powell all of Buckhannon, John Harris and wife Kristin of Clermont, FL, Andrew Winemiller and wife Michelle of Sutton, WV and Dennis Winemiller and wife Ranae of Las Vegas, NV and one niece, Meghan Cooper and husband Steven of Broadway, VA and several great nieces and nephews. William was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Pickens, WV, where he served as an altar boy as a youth. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, basketball, football and loved watching sports and was an avid fan of WVU Sports. He was inducted into the Randolph County High School Basketball Hall of Fame for his team efforts in 1976. He was a coal miner and automobile factory worker. At the request of William, his body will be cremated and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Selbyville VFD, c/o Art Wilson, HC 78 Box 31, Selbyville, WV 26236. Poling-St. Clair Funeral is in charge of the arrangements.

Velma M. Coole Westfall
Velma M. Coole Westfall, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at New Hope Room and Board in Hodgesville, WV. She was born April 8, 1925 in Hall, WV, a daughter of the late Bertus G. and Wynona Townsen Coole. On February 26, 1952 she married Virgil D. Westfall, who preceded her in death on January 14, 1970. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard and Carl Coole and one sister, Dorothy Sawyer. She is survived by one brother, Beryl Coole and wife Marion of Venice, FL; special nieces, Mary Alice Poling and husband Holt and Grace Ann Harris and husband Greg all of Buckhannon; three nieces, Muriel Waldschmidt of Wayne, MI, Patricia Rozek of Livonia, MI and Jocelyn Brobuck of Sidney, Australia; three nephews, William Coole of Belvidere, IL, Roland Coole of Fenton, MI and Graham Sawyer of Akron, OH and two God Children, Janet L. David Bennett of Orange Park, FL and Bruce H. Shearer. Mrs. Westfall retired from a government job in Bethesda, MD. She was Catholic by faith, over the years she was able to travel to several places with family and friends. Her interest included going to the farmers market, talking to her friends and visiting with her favorite pet, Scooter and most of all taking care of her family. Friends will be received Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 2-3 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 3 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Poling officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Allen Scott White
Allen Scott White, age 74, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his home. He was born January 9, 1938 in Peel Tree, WV, a son of the late Averil Ray and Ethel Jamima Cutright White. On January 29, 1961 he married Barbra Hornbeck who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Douglas White and wife Linda and Bruce White all of Fishing Camp and Stan White and wife Karen of Barbour County, WV; two grandsons, Levi and Spencer White both of Fishing Camp; four granddaughters, Devin and Chantel White both of Fishing Camp and Amanda and Ashley White both of Barbour County; two brothers, Archie White of Buckhannon and Curtis White and wife Thelma of Volga, WV; four sisters, Isabelle Nutter of Coalton, WV, Izola Marple of Hackers Creek, WV, Minetta Lewis and husband Wayne of Lost Creek, WV and Shirley Helmick of Lake Wells, FL; also several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Ross White and two sisters, Eugenia Benson and Izetta Lynch. Mr. White was an appliance repairman for Home Hardware and a machine operator for Moore Business Forms. He was also a member of AARP and AAA Auto Club for 55 years. He was also a past member of the Upshur Co. Livestock Association, the Upshur Co. Farm Bureau and Triple T Campers Club of Upshur Co. He enjoyed farming, traveling, fishing, hunting, family time and meeting his friends at Hardees. Friends will be received Monday, April 23, 2012 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Poling officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Allen Richard Wright
Allen Richard Wright, age 93, of Alton, WV passed away July 2, 2012 after a long fought battle with cancer. He was born February 3, 1919 in Alton, a son of the late Ott and Ona Burr Wright. While living, Richard served on many various committees for Upshur County. He was a 15 year member of the board of directors to the Upshur County Community Action Agency. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors to the Upshur County Health Agency, the Chairman of the Board of Directors to the Upshur County Homes Corporation, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Upshur County Federal Credit Union. These were all satellite programs of the Upshur County Community Action Agency. Mr. Wright also served as chairman of the Alton Community Action Agency for many years as well as a member of the Alton Cemetery Fund committee. He was a life time member of the VFW # 3663 and the DAV in Buckhannon. He was a veteran of WWII serving as corporal with the 5th Marines in the invasion of Japan on Iwa Jima as well as serving with the 2nd Marines in the occupation of Japan. He retired in 1981 from the Ford dealership in Buckhannon as a service manager with approximately 30 years of service. He was a Methodist by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on January 5, 2002 by his wife Beatrice whom he married in September 1940 and one sister, Oleta Kittle of Shreve Ohio. Surviving are one son, Robert Dale Wright of Alton; one daughter, Deborah Ann Wright of St. Albans; three grandchildren, Alisha Dawn Wright of Alton, Deanna Sue Wright of Buckhannon and Michael Wright of Buckhannon. Our father was the most honest, hardworking and truthful man we have ever known. He was a man of great integrity that touched many lives and we are all very fortunate to have known him. He will be greatly missed. Friends will be received Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A memorial service with military rites will be held at the Alton Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alton Cemetery, C/O Amber Grimes, RR 2 Box 105, Adrian, WV 26210. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Michael Eugene Williams
Michael Eugene Williams, age 38, of French Creek, WV died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in New Milton, WV. He was born October 2, 1973 in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Bender Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Cutlip and a great niece, Allysha Williams. He is survived by a fiance, Dorinda Hall of French Creek; four sisters, Connie Riggleman and husband Richard, Shelia Dowell and husband Tom, Teresa Beale and husband Bryan all of Buckhannon and Sherry Bowyer of Clearwater, KS; five brothers, Roger Williams and wife Ruth, John, Joe, Steve and Kevin Williams all of Buckhannon and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Michael was a timber cutter for Cowgar Enterprises and Right Away Clearing. He was a member of the Laborers Union # 984. Friends will be received Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 1-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor David Jesse officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickens Cemetery in Pickens, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Eugene M. Williams
Eugene M. Williams, age 87, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Nellas Nursing Home in Elkins, WV. He was born September 2, 1925 in Pickens, WV, a son of the late Ola and Donna Sears Williams. On April 17, 1965 he married Dolly A. Zirkle who survives. Also surviving are one son, Gary Williams of Buckhannon; two step daughters, Julia Zickefoose of Auburndale, FL and Sharon Gantt of Hampton, VA; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and life-long friends, David and Debbie Wilfong of French Creek, WV. Mr. Williams served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked in the lumber industry and strip mining. He also enjoyed bee keeping and loved hunting. Friends will be received Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 1-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Camp Church Cemetery at French Creek. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
