Roger C. Williams II
Roger C. Williams II, age 42, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at his home. He was born April 19, 1973 in Buckhannon, a son of Gary V. and Frances May Williams of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he is survived by his fiance, Peggy Landis of Tallmansville, WV; one brother, Gary Scott Williams and wife Vickie of Buckhannon; three nephews, Tyler, Nathan and Seth Williams all of Buckhannon and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Roger attended Chapel Hill UMC in Buckhannon. He graduated from BUHS with the Class of 1991 and then attended WVWC. Roger courageously fought many health issues for most of his life but kept his spirits high. Even though he was blind, Roger was a computer wiz and loved to play computer games. He also enjoyed the descriptive narration in movies and TV shows. Roger was an office volunteer at Central Public School and spoke to the children about guide dogs. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Helen Oates officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Memorials may be made in Rogers name to Leader Dogs for the Blind 1039 S. Rochester Rd. Rochester, MI 48307 or at www.leaderdog.org. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jeannine White
Jeannine White, age 79, of Shallotte, NC died Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Bolivia, NC. She was born June 4, 1936 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late Forrest and Rebecca Rogers Burroughs. On September 1, 1962 she married Richard L. White who preceded her in death on December 26, 1994. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Richard Brannon. Surviving are one daughter, Tracie Erwin and husband Kenneth of Shallotte; two wonderful grandchildren, Jaymes and Kendra Erwin both of Shallotte; two brothers, Charles Jack Jackson Burroughs and wife Hilda of Parkersburg, WV and James Bud Forrest Burroughs and wife Carolyn of Glenville, WV; one sister, Martha Brannon of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. White was a homemaker. Jeannine had a courageous 5 to 6 year battle with Dementia. Friends will be received Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 1-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:30 PM in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas Lynn Wolford
Thomas Lynn Wolford infant son of Tyler Wolford and Beth Light of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, October 19, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born September 18, 2015 in Morgantown. In addition to his parents he is survived by his twin brother, Timothy Wolford of Buckhannon; three aunts, Terri Wolford and Amy Light both of Buckhannon and Suzi Light of Grafton, WV; paternal grandparents, Terry and Pamela Wolford of Buckhannon, maternal grandparents, Raymond and Annette Light of Buckhannon and cousins, Leland, Laken, and Kayha. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Lesa Rae Wolfe
Lesa Rae Wolfe, age 54, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born July 14, 1961, a daughter of the late David R. Allman who preceded her in death on March 1, 2014 and Helen Haymond Allman who preceded her in death on February 2, 2014. On June 27, 2014 she married Vaughn Wolfe after seventeen and a half years of being together. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Ricky Steven Crites, Jr. and wife Katrina of Buckhannon. Mrs. Wolfe was a Majorette at BUHS and graduated from BUHS in 1979. Lesa was a nurse for 12 years and worked for EQT for 14 years. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Wilda Faye Woody
Wilda Faye Woody, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Colonial Place in Elkins, WV. She was born August 25, 1929 in Hemlock, WV, a daughter of the late Porter H. and Margaret Dale Wingfield Hoover. On September 28, 1945 she married Donnel Junior Woody who preceded her in death on May 10, 2003. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Randall Queen and five brothers, Richard, Jerry Lee, Loren E., Ellis Carol and Buddy Davis Hoover. Surviving are one son, Delmas Woody and wife Donna of Buckhannon; one daughter, Kathy Andreas and husband Larry of Surfside, SC; one step daughter, Loretta Queen of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Jessica Posey and husband Jamie of Morgantown, WV; step granddaughter Carla Campbell and husband Jimmy Dean of French Creek, WV and one sister Arba Della Currence of Cleveland, OH. Mrs. Woody was a homemaker, a member of the Mt. Olive UMC at Hemlock and the past 4-H leader at Hemlock. Friends will be received Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Holly J. Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery in Hemlock, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery c/o Hemlock Community Mt. Olive Cemetery Association 67 High School Ave Buckhannon, WV 26201. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Roger D. Wooddell
Roger D. Wooddell, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his home. He was born February 21, 1951 in Buckhannon, a son of Bobbie Jewell Wooddell of FL and Iva May Swick Snyder of Buckhannon. On February 19, 2015 he married Joyce Bragg who survives. Also surviving are his step father, Buford Lee Snyder of Buckhannon, two daughters, Valerie Everson and husband Clayton of Belington, WV and Letetia Hawkins and husband Nick of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Cameron and Dillon Everson both of Belington and Matthew Hawkins of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Emma Hawkins of Buckhannon; one step daughter, Marie Bassford and husband Mike of French Creek, WV; one step son, Robert Howard II and wife Jane of Buckhannon; two step grandsons, Shane and Shaun Bassford both of French Creek; one step granddaughter, Shannon Bassford of French Creek and one brother Kenny Wooddell and wife Teresa of FL. Preceding him in death was his sister, Debra Addis. Mr. Wooddell served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a retired Highway Inspector for the WV DOH, a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Buckhannon and a member of the VFW Post #3663. Friends will be received, December 1, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the graveside. Jane E. Williams
Jane E. Williams of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born July 20, 1919 in Wilmington, DE, a daughter of the late Francis W. and E. Verna Giles Krastel. On October 4, 1941 she married Frank E. Williams, Jr. who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Jane W. and husband Samuel B. Urso, Jr. and Pamela W. Ross and husband Michael; one son, Frank E. Williams, III and wife Amy C.; nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Father Francis W. Krastel, Jr. Mrs. Williams attended Seton Hill College and was a homemaker. She was a founding member and past president of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary of Buckhannon where she served for 42 years. In 1989 she was the Athena Volunteer of the Year. Additionally she was a 57 year sister Chapter A, PEO Sisterhood, a founding member and president of the Buckhannon Arts Alliance, founding member of the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the Fred Brooks Garden Club. Mrs. Williams served as a Literacy Volunteer and reader to children in the public school system and read books creating audio tapes for the blind. Friends will be received Monday, January 4, 2016 from 5:00-7:30 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:30 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Ron Nikodem, S.M. as celebrant. Interment of the ashes will be at a later date at St. Francis Xavier Church in Warwick, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Old Bohemia Historical Society, PO Box 61, Warwick, MD 21912. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Thelma Ruth Wilfong
Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord
The faith of Thelma R. Wilfong was made sight at 11am Sunday, January 31, 2016 as she left her earthly home and flew to the arms of Jesus. She was born in Upshur County on July 6, 1919, a daughter of the late Oran and Alma Mayo Smallwood. She was united in marriage on July 10, 1937 to William G. Wilfong, who preceded her in death in 1961. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by sons: Robert L. Wilfong. Steven L. Wilfong, Kenneth R. Wilfong; brother Orla Smallwood and grandson Ricky Lamb. Thelma was very proud of her surviving five generations which include: Three children in Buckhannon: Irene (Alec) Ross, Patty L. Pletcher, with whom she made her home, and Jerry (Debbie) Wilfong; six grandchildren: Pam (Rich) Reed of Prairieville, LA, Alexis (Butch) Butcher of Buckhannon, Ginger (Rick) Lamb of Hepzibah, Gwen Hawkins of Nutter Fort, Chip (Sherry) Pletcher of Bruceton Mills, Nick (Samantha) Wilfong of French Creek and Van Robert (Wilfong) McFarland; thirteen great grandchildren: Dustin (April) Post, Brittany (Matt) Bennett, Tyson (Julie) Lamb, Ross Reed, Josh (Alaina) Reed, Aaron Cable, Abby Pletcher, James, Alex and Charles Hawkins, Paige Butcher (Drew) McDaniels, Jordan Butcher and Brooke Nikole Wilfong (to be born February 5, 2016) seven great-great grandchildren: Brock and Emmy Post, Landon Lamb, Emberlee and Abilene Bennett, Maddison Lamb and Brynn Reed. Thelma was a member of West Buckhannon United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, going for long drives, reading, doting on her family and spoiling her many generations of grandchildren. She retired from Perce Ross Mens and Ladies Wear. When Thelma was widowed, she was left with young children to raise alone. In the face of adversity, she guided her family with strength and courage. Following Gods instructions in the Bible, she trained up her children in the way they should go and left her family a great legacy of unwavering faith. She was the matriarch of her family and was a great source of wisdom. She was Mom, Grandma and Aunt Peg to many and a friend to all. Friends will be received Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon and Pastor Bob Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.co

Jimmie Ralph Woody
Jimmie Ralph Woody, age 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born on November 2, 1933 in Holly Grove, WV, a son of the late Donnel E. and Pauline G. Bennett Woody. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Donnel Junior, Edwin, Russell Tom, Glen and Keith Woody; two sisters, Guilda Bragg and Ruth Swaerzle and his faithful dog, Ellie died with him. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Justine Woody whom he married June 21, 1958; daughter, Robin and husband Scott Williams and their children Andrew and wife Lydia, Jordan and husband Bo Kesler, Hannah, Blake all of Buckhannon; surrogate grandson Thomas M. Andrews of Buckhannon; great granddaughter, Meredith of Buckhannon; brother, Dale Woody and wife Karen and numerous nieces and nephews. After he graduated high school in 1954 he went to Chicago, IL and worked for Capital Airlines. In 1956 he was drafted into the U.S. Navy where he proudly served for two years on the USS Forrestal as an airline mechanic. After he left the Navy, Jim along with his four brothers founded and co-owned The Woody Lumber Company. Once he retired, he worked on his farm at Kesling Mill, continued to serve the community, spend time with his family and friends, and was a faithful and dedicated husband, father and grandfather who was lovingly referred to as Papaw. He was a faithful member of Mt. Hermon UMC for over 55 years and committed member of the Gideons and Lions Club. Friends will be received Friday, February 5, 2016 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Bohman and the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Gideons International c/o Lewis-Upshur Gideons P.O. Box 505 Buckhannon, WV 26201. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Phillip Blaine Wilfong
Phillip Blaine Wilfong, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, February 5, 2016 at Holbrooks Nursing Home in Buckhannon. He was born August 22, 1937 in Upshur Co., WV a son of the late Wannetta Wilfong. Per Mr. Wilfongs request he will be cremated. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Helen Irene Hanifan Lee Wagner
Helen Irene Lee Wagner, age 73, of Tallmansville, WV died Sunday, October 15, 2006 at her home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. She was born January 23, 1933 in Cubana, WV, a daughter of the late Jess and Lola Zickefoose Hanifan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jess Oliver, Calvin and Stafford Hanifan and two sisters, Genieve Phipps and Dessie Hanifan. She is survived by two sons, Ellis Lee and wife Debra of Tallmansville and Randy Lee and wife Sue of Hinkleville, WV; three grandsons, David Lee of IL, Derek Lee of Tallmansville and Andrew Lee of Weston, WV; two granddaughters, Christina Lee of French Creek, WV and Jamie Heddrick of Buckhannon, WV; eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Maynard and Marvin Hanifan, both of Buckhannon and Norman Denver Hanifan of Cubana and five sisters, Lottie Lewis and Naomi Brant, both of Buckhannon, Margaret Ann Simmons of Cassidy, WV, Adis Corrick of FL and Doris Talbott of AR. Mrs. Wagner was a homemaker. There will be no services. Poling St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
