Ernest 'Ernie' S. Weaver, Jr.
Ernest 'Ernie' S. Weaver, Jr., age 58, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born September 18, 1948 in Cumberland, MD, a son of the late Ernest S. Weaver, Sr. and Romana Spangler Weaver. On September 13, 1987 he married Barbara A. Kesling who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Brooke Weaver of Georgia, Jamie Workman of Buckhannon and Missy Winneberger of Buckhannon; three sons, Ernest S. Sammy Weaver, III, Ronnie and Robert Winneberger all of Buckhannon; fourteen grandchildren and one brother, Gerald Dick Weaver of South Carolina. Ernie was a truck driver and a Methodist by faith. He was a life member of the VFW Post # 3663, a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge # 598, Elks Lodge # 1736, Hooters Club, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion and the Eagles Lodge. He served in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam and received 2 Purple Hearts. Friends will be received Tuesday, August 28, 2007 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 8 PM Tuesday with the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 & 36 will conduct Military Honors, also the Buckhannon Elks Lodge # 1736 will be performing funeral rites. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements

Richard Curtis Wentz
Richard Curtis Wentz, age 62, of Marana, AZ died Friday, December, 14, 2007 in Mesa, AZ. He was born July 18, 1945 in Clarksburg, WV, the son of the late Curtis Dow and Edrie Teter Wentz. He is survived by one daughter, Rachelle Christine Wentz and two sons Richard Curtis Wentz, Jr. and Richard Smith and wife Jamie, all of AZ. He is also survived by one brother, Arnold G. Wentz and wife Thanna of Buckhannon, WV; one sister, Lemoyne Wentz of Palmyra, VA; one half sister, Mabel Wentz Wright and husband Todd of Buckhannon; six grandchildren, Bruce and Brent Rowland, Cassandra Adkins, Matthew Downey, Richard and Naomi Smith, all of AZ; several nieces and nephews of Buckhannon and AZ and his former wife, Patricia Mayernak of AZ. Mr. Wentz was a 1963 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School and served in the U. S. Air Force from 1966-1972. He had lived in Marana, AZ for many years. He recently retired from Evergreen Air Park, where he was employed as an airplane mechanic and later as an inspector. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels. Burial will follow in the Kesling Cemetery. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7, DAV Chapters # 5 and # 36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Sharon K. Ware
Sharon K. Ware, age 54, of Buckhannon, WV died Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born March 25, 1953 in Buckhannon, a daughter of Madeline Chidester Kulina of Buckhannon and the late John Kulina. On September 13, 1969 she married Delmas W. Ware. In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by one daughter, Sandy Tomey and husband James of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Amber and Whitney Tomey both of Buckhannon and special friends, Virginia Zirkle, Letha Lamb and Brian Gaudet all of Buckhannon. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one son, Shawn Ware. Sharon was a Volunteer Coordinator Manager for Upshur Human Resources, Inc. Vice President Mt. Cap, CASA Volunteer for abused children, volunteer for the American Cancer Society, Ladies Aux. of the Moose. Agent for Homeland Reality, Certified Aerobics Instructor and a member of the Christian Fellowship Church. Friends will be received Friday, December 28, 2007 from 2-8 PM at the Christian Fellowship Church. Funeral services will be held 1 PM at the church with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Junior L. Ward
Junior L. Ward, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Serenity Care Home of Buckhannon. He was born August 4, 1922 in Hemlock, WV, a son of the late Francis and Evelina Leigh Ward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Ward. He is survived by three sons, Gary Ward and wife Sharri of Gilbert, AZ, Richard Ward and wife Marsha of Largo, FL and Ronald Ward and wife Sharon of Mentor, OH; one grandson, Jason Ward of Largo and one granddaughter, Hillary Ward of Mentor. Mr. Ward was an Inspector for TRW and a member of the Good Hope Tabernacle. He was proud to have served his country in the Marine Corps during WWII. Friends will be received Monday, January 7, 2008 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday at the Good Hope Tabernacle with Pastor Holly J. Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery at Hemlock, WV. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7, DAV Chapters # 5 and # 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Hattie Sue Warner
Hattie Sue Warner, age 63, of Buckhannon, WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. She was born August 26, 1944 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Cranston E. and Maxine Virginia Reger Marple. On November 15, 1963 she married William Earl Warner of Buckhannon. Also surviving are one son, Robert Wayne Warner and wife Kristina of Volga, WV; one brother, Hartzel Marple and wife Mary of Buckhannon; one sister, Avis Caynor and husband R. Woodley of Mt. Clare, WV and one grandson, Seth Michael Warner of Volga. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ida Marie Marple. Mrs. Warner was a loan officer at Bank One. After she retired from Bank One she worked at Books, Books, Books. She loved the Lord and, her family and friends very much. Her greatest joy was helping others and her faith in God was a great comfort to her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Friends will be received Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from 2-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mona Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Isabell C. Warner
Isabell C. Warner, age 92, of Cincinnati, OH died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Hospice House in Cincinnati. She was born May 18, 1915 in Sugar Tree Branch, KY, a daughter of the late William and Delphia Llewellen Cox. On March 24, 1936 she married Carl Lewis Warner who preceded her in death on July 20, 1967. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Warner is survived by one daughter, Marjorie Buchanan of Venice, FL; one granddaughter, Deanna Hehmann and husband Christopher of Orlando, FL; two grandsons, Douglas Buchanan and wife Dorenda of Ft. Myers, FL and Bradley Buchanan and wife Jessica of Venice and four great-grandchildren. She was an executive housekeeper for United Dairy Farmer and cooked hot lunch at the Red Knob Elementary School. She also attended the Ashland Ave. Baptist Church in Cincinnati. Friends will be received from 1-2 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Billee Scott Mick officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice House of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45242. Frantie Louise Warner
Frantie Louise Warner, age 96, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the home of her daughter, Marlene. She was born October 11, 1912 in Tallmansville, WV, a daughter of the late Cain and Ellen Tenney Wilfong. On May 3, 1933 she married Guy S. Warner who preceded her in death on December 1, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband, Frantie was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Mary Katherine Wilfong; four brothers, Opha, Emerson, Carroll and Coleman Wilfong and five sisters, Ora Bennett, Myrtle Hornbeck and Ethel, Addie Mae and Reta Pearl Wilfong. She is survived by three daughters, Marlene Ledbetter of Buckhannon, Ethel Miller of Hunker, PA and Arlena Marple and husband Monzell of Hackers Creek, WV; two grandsons, Guy Russell Miller of Charleston, SC and Mark Marple of Hackers Creek; three granddaughters, Linda Smail of Smithton, PA, Jacqueline Bennett of Hodgesville, WV and Datha Diane Powers of Hodgesville; four great grandsons, Brian Miller of Charlotte, NC, Jeremy Bennett of Lawrenceville, IL, Ian Smail of Philadelphia, PA and Steven Powers of Hodgesville and four great granddaughters, Amanda Miller of Charlotte, Samantha Leput of Cumberland, MD, Danielle Powers of Hodgesville and Chelsea Smail of Smithton. She was a homemaker and restaurant cook. Friends will be received Monday, February 2, 2009 from 4 to 7 PM at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 10 AM with Rev. Wease Day officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Anna Rae Wamsley
Anna Rae Wamsley, age 17, of French Creek, WV died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Eden, WV. She was born January 13, 1991 in Elkins, WV, a daughter of Dion Wamsley of Buckhannon, WV and Donna Grubb Wamsley of French Creek. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Mitchell Hyre of Buckhannon; maternal grandparents, Anna and Dane Grubb of Adrian, WV; paternal grandparents, Ronsdale and Rachel Wamsley of Sand Run, WV; a nephew, Frankie Hyre of North Carolina; four cousins, Gary Gamble of Newell, WV, Lisa Manley of Buckhannon, Caleb Manley of Buckhannon and Brandon Grubb of Charleston, WV; several aunts and uncles and a friend, Brandon Tenney of Buckhannon. Anna was a student at Buckhannon-Upshur High School and attended the Way Of Holiness Church. Friends will be received Monday, March 17, 2008 from 4-9 PM at the Way Of Holiness Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 18th at 2 PM at the church with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow at the Upshur County Memorial Park. Maxine L. Wamsley
Maxine L. Wamsley, age 89, of Tallmansville, WV died Monday, June 2, 20214 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was born August 5, 1924 in Ten Mile, WV, a daughter of the late David and Edna DeBarr Perry. On April 21, 1946 she married Doyle Wamsley who preceded her in death. She is survived by three sons, Gary Wamsley and wife Joyce of Tallmansville, Kevin Wamsley and wife Justine of Buckhannon and Jeffrey Wamsley and wife Patricia of Tallmansville; one daughter, Donna Pettit and husband Roy of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Rusty Wamsley and wife Sara of Buckhannon, Jon Wamsley and wife Kristie on New Market, VA, Jammie Wamsley and Susan of Tallmansville, Chip Pettit of Buckhannon and Shane Wamsley and wife Meredith of Tallmansville; six granddaughters, Shawna Roby and husband Rob of Columbus, OH, Jennifer Nichols of Los Gatos, CA, Emily Pettit of Buckhannon, Megan Bennett and husband Travis of Cadiz, OH, Jessica Neely and husband Lee of Jane Lew, WV and Hannah Wamsley of Clarksburg, WV; fifteen great grandchildren; six brothers, Richard Perry and wife Lorraine of Moundsville, WV, Billy Perry of Buckhannon, Buddy Perry and wife Caroline of Indian Camp, WV, Arnett Perry and wife Mary of Buckhannon, Junior Perry, Tim Perry and wife Sheila all of Ten Mile; one sister, Glenda Bosley and husband David of Tallmansville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by infant son, Randall Wamsley; two sisters, Ruth Copelan and Imogene Wilfong and one brother, Bobbie Perry. Mrs. Wamsley was a reading tutorial aid for the Upshur County Board of Education. She was a member of the Ten Mile United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wamsley loved to quilt and sit on her porch swing reading books. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery in Ten Mile, WV with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Rachel Wamsley
Rachel Ann Wamsley, age 71, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born February 20, 1937 in Charleston, WV a daughter of the late James Amel and Mabel Wolfe. On December 18, 1954 she married Ronsdale Wamsley who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter, Debbie Kelley and husband Tom of Buckhannon; four sons, Rocky Wamsley and wife Lora, Michael W. Wamsley and wife Jacqueline, Timothy D. Wamsley and wife Candace, and Dion C. Wamsley and friend Angela H. Surface all of Buckhannon; nine grandsons, Rocky Wamsley, II of Buckhannon; Rusty Wamsley of VA, Isaiah Wamsley of Buckhannon, Shawn Wamsley of Elkins, WV, Greg Kelley, Dustin Wamsley, Matthew Wamsley, Shane Wamsley all of Buckhannon, and Luke Wamsley of Montpelier, VT; three granddaughters, Rita Wamsley of Jacksonville, FL, Amy Atwell of Buckhannon, and Leona A. Wamsley of Montpelier; 11 great-grandchildren; best friend Neva Snyder; special friend Maxine Davis of Buckhannon and one sister. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Rochele Wamsley and Anna R. Wamsley, one brother and one sister, and best friend Delma Wyatt. Mrs. Wamsley was a homemaker and a member of the Nays Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 4-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Helmick officiating. Burial will follow at the Wimpy and Ronny Cemetery, Buckhannon. Stella Mae Wamsley
Stella Mae Wamsley, age 90, of Buckhannon, WV, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 13, 2008 at Colonial Place in Elkins, WV. She was born October 18, 1917 in Czar, WV, a daughter of the late Wilson Okey and Nellie Rela Bailey Koon. On December 16, 1939 she married Simon L. Wamsley who preceded her in death on March 18, 2003. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Nola Ann Wamsley and three brothers, Orvie, Denver and Vernon Koon. She is survived by one daughter, Yvonnda Tenney and husband Charles of Buckhannon; three sons, Larry Wamsley and wife Corrine, Rev. Marvin Wamsley and wife Connie and Chet Wamsley and wife Kay all of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Lesa Tenney of NY and Deann Maness of NC; three grandsons, David Wamsley and wife Maranda, Tyler Wamsley and Ryan Wamsley all of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Christopher Logan Wamsley of Buckhannon and four brothers, Claudie Koon and wife Bessie, Richard Koon and wife Betty all of Buckhannon, Stanley Koon and wife Ina Rose of Mill Creek, WV and Dallas Koon and wife Millie of Florida. Mrs. Wamsley was a homemaker, a member of the NRA, a member of the Tennerton United Methodist Church of Buckhannon and had been a faithful Christian since the age of 13. She was an avid hunter and gardener. Her family was most precious to her. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 from 10:30 AM 1:00 PM the funeral hour with the Rev. Marvin Wamsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Upshur Co. Parish House/Cross Lines at 68 College Ave., Buckhannon, WV 26201 or The Alzheimers Assoc. or your favorite charity. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
