Dayton Jack Ware
Dayton Jack Ware, age 67, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at his home. He was born January 5, 1945 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Clarence and Lillian Smith Ware. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Smith Ware who survives. Also surviving is one son, Kevin M. Ware of Buckhannon; one daughter, Niska Wentz of Buckhannon; three step sons, David Bucklin and wife Cathy of Crossville, TN, Kevin Bucklin and wife Peggy and Bobby Davis and wife Shanda all of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Brian Wodzinski and Aiden Davis both of Buckhannon and Wynn Bucklin of Fairmont, WV; two granddaughters, Brittany Wodzinski and Jade Ware both of Buckhannon; three step grandchildren; one sister, Glenna Jean Morgan and husband Danny of Buckhannon; one brother, Delmas Wade Ware of Buckhannon and a special friend, Carol McPherson of Buckhannon. Jack was an auto body repairman for Bud Bennett Motors and Cochran Motors of Buckhannon. Friends will be received Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with funeral expenses. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Laura Berthena Weese
Laura Berthena Weese, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Holbrooks Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born September 15, 1925 in Barbour Co. a daughter of the late Francis Marion and Mary Ellen Moore Trimble. On October 20, 1945 she married Ralph Weese who preceded her in death on May 30, 2004. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son Ralph William Weese. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ellen Plymale and husband Gene, and Susan Currence and husband Michael G. all of Buckhannon; two sons, Donald Francis Weese and wife Denise and David Blaine Weese and wife Deborah all of Buckhannon; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. Mrs. Weese was one of the first members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Buckhannon and a registered nurse at Leonard Memorial Hospital. She was very passionate about nursing and helped deliver many children in Buckhannon. Friends will be received Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Buckhannon. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday at the Church with Bishop Steven Linger officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park Cemetery at Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

David Gerald Ware
David Gerald Ware, age 55, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, August 31, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born November 24, 1956 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Robert G. Bob and Wanda Mae Sturm Ware. On June 24, 1977 he married Jacqueline Coonts who survives. Also surviving is one son, Anthony Gerald Ware of Morgantown; one sister, Connie Marple and husband Mark of Hackers Creek, WV; one brother, Doug White and wife Linda and a large extended family and numerous friends. Mr. Ware was a Bus Driver for Upshur County Board of Education. He was a life time member of the North American Hunting Club, WV Bowhunters Assoc., and the NRA. He was a coal miner from 1975-1983. David was an avid hunter and motorcyclist. He enjoyed motorcycle rallies for charities. He had a lifelong love of woodworking. At the request of the family please dress casually at the funeral. Friends will be received Friday, September 7, 2012 from 6-8 PM and Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Way Of Holiness Church with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. A private family burial will follow. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Sylvia Gail Ware
Sylvia Gail Ware, age 55, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at HCC Regional Inpatient Center in Elkins, WV. She was born April 29, 1957 in Buckhannon, a daughter of Shirley Miller Filer of Parkersburg, WV and the late Howard James Smith. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Robert Davis and wife Shanda of Buckhannon; one step daughter, Niska Wentz of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Tenaya Davis and Rhianna Orsburn, both of Buckhannon; two grandsons, William Cole and Aiden Davis, both of Buckhannon; one brother, Dwight Smith of Buckhannon; four sisters, Connie Shipley and husband Gerald and Anita Pitts, all of Parkersburg, Linda Lantz and husband Michael and Beverly Wodzinski and husband Jack, all of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and her special friends, the Aleris Family. Sylvia worked for Aleris of Buckhannon and the Upshur County Senior Citizens. She was a Christian by faith. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Roger Lee Warner
Roger Lee Warner, age 63, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at his home. He was born September 28, 1949 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late William Lee and Veta Nitz Warner. On July 1, 1987 he married Helen Darlene Westfall, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Jane Ann Warner and Barbara Ann Stanton and husband Bernard, all of Buckhannon; one son, Roger Lee Warner, Jr., of Buckhannon; one grandson, Evan Carpenter of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Leanna Marie Stanton, Stephanie Stanton and Cloey Raine Warner, all of Buckhannon; one great-granddaughter, Alexa Faith Stanton of Buckhannon; two brothers, Robert Warner and wife Patty and Jimmy Warner, all of Buckhannon; four sisters, Lucy Mae Davis and husband Ralph of French Creek, WV, Betty Bolton and husband Brad of Buckhannon, Wilma Spore of Hackers Creek and Mary Ann Landis and husband William of French Creek and several nieces and nephews. Roger worked in the oil fields for over 30 years and for Nexus Drilling in Jane Lew, WV for 23 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and four-wheeler. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery at Hodgesville, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Clarence L. 'Bud' Warner
Clarence L. 'Bud' Warner, age 74, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born November 17, 1938 in Hackers Creek, WV, a son of the late Leslie and Clara Lantz Warner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Nicholas Warner; one brother, Charles Warner and one sister, Betty Crites. He is survived by two sons, Patrick Leslie Warner and wife Deanna and Timothy Ryan Warner both of Buckhannon; two daughters, Allison Marie Warner of Buckhannon and Tammy Chidester and husband Rick of Abbott, WV; two grandsons, Tyler Leslie Warner of Buckhannon and Alex Chidester of Abbott; two granddaughters, Rachel and Courtney Chidester both of Abbott; one brother, William Earl Warner of Hodgesville, WV and several nieces and nephews. Bud was a truck driver for 43 years for Martin Oil Company. He was a former member of the Pleasant Dale United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Heavner officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Denzil Foster Waugh
Denzil Foster Waugh, age 94, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, February 18, 2014 at his home under the care of Peoples Hospice. He was born August 28, 1919 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Foster H. and Edith Sines Waugh. On May 7, 1938 he married Iva Morrison who survives. Also surviving is one daughter, Linda Jane Vaught and husband Larry of Buckhannon; one son, Jerry Waugh and wife Linda of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Carmen M. Griffith of Coshocton, OH, Janna Vaught Adams and husband Marc of Buckhannon, Kimberley J. Waugh of New Albany, OH and Cristy E. Waugh of Chapel Hill, NC; two grandsons, Samuel A. Vaught and Joseph E. Vaught and wife Michelle all of Buckhannon; one great-granddaughter, Carly Griffith of Coshocton; ten great-grandsons, Nathaniel Davis and Chase Griffith both of Coshocton, Dalton, Zachary and Spencer Vaught, Cade and Jamison Gambrazzio and Jaric Rich, all of Buckhannon and Owen Perry and Anderson Rice both of New Albany; one sister, Geraldine Bailey of Parkersburg, WV; one sister-in-law, Wanda "Woodie" Waugh of Weston, WV and a special caregiver Marie Morgan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Elsie Quinn, Lola Luzader and Celia Beachler and four brothers, Oscar, Norman, Eugene and Herbert Waugh. Mr. Waugh was an avid fisherman, hunter and farmer after his retirement from the West Virginia Department of Highways in 1979. Denzil and Iva enjoyed 75 years of marriage and were an inspiration of steadfast commitment to many. They were regular visitors at the Upshur County Senior Citizens Center, where Denzil participated in the Senior Olympics for many years. He was a Christian by faith, a great example as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, as well as a generous and helpful neighbor and friend. Friend will be received Friday, February 21, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with John Willbur, Curtis Bauske and Carlton Schooley officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Iva P. Waugh
Iva P. Waugh, age 93, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, March 10, 2014 at her home while under the care of Peoples Hospice of Clarksburg, WV. She was born March 30, 1920 in Goshen, WV. She was raised in the Eden Community, a daughter of the late Willis Wade and Martha Taylor Morrison. She is the last surviving member of her siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Denzil Foster Waugh on February 18, 2014. They were married May 7, 1938. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by seven sisters, Nellie Waugh, Emma Lee, Hazel McCord, Irene Lewis, Russie Gregory, Genevieve Gregory and LuVera Taylor; one infant sister, Mary Morrison and five brothers, Floyd, Buck, Merl, Dewey and Harold Morrison. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Jane Vaught and husband Larry of Buckhannon; one son, Jerry Waugh and wife Linda of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Carmen M. Griffith of Coshocton, OH, Janna Vaught Adams and husband Marc of Buckhannon, Kimberley J. Waugh of New Albany, OH and Cristy E. Waugh of Chapel Hill, NC; two grandsons, Samuel A. Vaught and Joseph E. Vaught and wife Michelle, all of Buckhannon; one great-granddaughter, Carly Griffith of Coshocton; ten great-grandsons, Nathaniel Davis and Chase Griffith both of Coshocton, Jaric Rich, Dalton, Zachary and Spencer Vaught and Cade and Jamison Gambrazzlo all of Buckhannon, Owen Perry and Anderson Rice both of New Albany, OH; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Woodie Waugh of Jane Lew, WV and Geraldine Bailey of Parkersburg, WV and a special caregiver, Marie Morgan. Mrs. Waugh was an accomplished homemaker, renowned for homemade bread as well as her talent at direct sales. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she was also a foster parent for many years. Iva had love to spare for everyone and enjoyed hosting family and friends in her home. She was a Christian by faith and a member of the Senior Citizens Center. Friends will be received Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with John Wilbur and Curtis Bauske officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Peoples Hospice. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

James B. Watts
James B. Watts, age 80, entered into rest Wednesday, January 8, 2014. He was husband of nearly 60 years to Mrs. Oleta T. Watts. Mr. Watts was a native of Ellamore, WV but lived in Evans, GA. He retired from the Army and worked in Civil Service for 35 years as an Electronics Instructor at Fort Gordan. Family members in addition to his wife include daughters; Annette W. Gardner and husband Eric of Patterson, GA and Carolyn W. Mutimer and husband Roy of Appling, GA; granddaughters: Meaghan Peterson, Mallory Booth and Taylor Mutimer; grandson: Blair Mutimer, IV; and great grandson: Jason Booth. Friends will be received 1:00- 2:00 PM, Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Jack Bohman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery at Tallmansville, WV. The Upshur County Honor Guard will provide military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis Ann Webster
Phyllis Ann Webster, age 74, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, FL. She was born November 28, 1939 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Griesser Grimm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Judith Lowe and one brother, Roger Grimm. She is survived by a companion, Donald Lucas of Buckhannon; one sister, Leila Pippen of De Berry, TX; one brother, Robert Grimm of Phoenix, AZ and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Webster was a bank teller and manager. Friends will be received Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 2-3 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 3 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Entombment will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Youngstown, OH. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Hazel Gladys Walton
Hazel Gladys Walton, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Holbrooks Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born July 3, 1926 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Charlie and Ada Sothen Campbell. On October 6, 1962 she married Roy Walton who preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1988. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Louise Walton, Violet Wamsley, Rosie Gibson and Beda Queen and two brothers, Wilbert and Forest Campbell. She is survived by one daughter, Sheri Walton and fianc Earl Perrine of Buckhannon; two sisters, Judy Beer and husband Ed and Juanita Adams and husband Charlie all of Buckhannon and one brother, Lafie Campbell and wife Norma of Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Mrs. Walton was an Avon Sales Rep. She was a member of the North Buckhannon United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 12- 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Billee Scott Mick officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
