Linda Fuller-Stanley
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2002 for Linda Sue Fuller-Stanley, 53, of Sugar Hill, Ga., formerly of Isaban, W. Va., who died Sunday, May 12, while vacationing in Jamaica.

Reverends James Bostic and Leroy Holly will officiate from the chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Burial will follow in Iaeger Memorial Cemetery at Roderfield.

Born May 1, 1949 at Welch, W. Va., she was the daughter of Rev. Lee Fuller of Isaban and the late Aline Cline Fuller. She was employed by Gwennette Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Ga., and affiliated with the Church of God.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jahue and Sadie Fuller, and her maternal grandparents, Columbus and Lilly Cline.

In addition to her father, survivors include her husband, Bernie Stanley of Sugar Hill, Ga.; one step daughter, Traci Stevens of Sugar Hill; three step-grandchildren, Josh Stanley, Shane and Stone Stevens, all of Sugar Hill; five brothers, Kenneth Ray (Kinky) Fuller and Glen Fuller and wife Vicki, all of Isaban; Dean Fuller and Timothy Fuller and wife Belvia, all of Iaeger; Carl Fuller and wife Terri of Justice; two sisters, Patricia Blackburn and husband Larry of South Williamson, Ky.; Sharon Smith and husband Eddie of Baisden; six nephews; three nieces; and one great nephew.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday, May 18, from 6-9 p.m.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger is in charge of arrangements.

Coty Miller
Coty Miller, 49, of North Matewan, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 26, 1952 in Williamson, he was a son of the late Parris and Mazie (Fields) Miller.

Mr. Miller was a retired coal miner.

Survivors include two sons, Coty (Lou Ann) Miller III of Thacker and Justin Miller of Rock Hill, S.C.; a daughter, Candra Miller of Green Springs, Ohio; sisters, Tina Marie of Lexington, Ky., and Jeanette Miller of Rock Hill, S.C..; and one grandchild, Autumn Parris Miller.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the Faith Mission Church at McCarr, Ky., with Jimmy Fields officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. View Memory Gardens, Maher.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chambers Funeral Home Inc.

Edward Milam
Edward "Ed" Milam, 62, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at his residence.

Born June 24, 1939 in Rawl, he was a son of the late Ivan and Hettie Jane (Bowen) Milam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Cary.

Mr. Milam was a retired employee of Cullop Electric and attended the Burnwell Church of God and Burnwell Gospel Revelation Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Blackburn Milam of Burnwell; two daughters, Renee´ (Dwayne) Blackburn of Burnwell and Susan (Keith) Marcum of Forest Hills, Ky.; two brothers, Ivan Milam Jr. and Jimmy (Margaret) Milam, both of Rawl; three sisters, Octavia Harris and Ella Mae (Russell) Elkins, both of Rawl, and Linda (Bob) Saltsgaver of Marrow, Ohio; a special friend, Charles (Doug) McCoy of Burnwell; and three grandchildren, Whitley and Austin Blackburn of Burnwell and Keitley Marcum of Forest Hills, Ky.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Rogers Funeral Home with John Victor McCoy and Buddy Kendrick officiating.

Burial will follow in the McCoy Cemetery, Burnwell.

Pallbearers will be Rick Runyon, Doug McCoy, Mike Cullop, Steve Cullop, Bill Hardin and friends.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Rogers Funeral Home with special services at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, Ky.

Jon Thompson
Jon Jon Thompson, 20, of Hell Creek, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2002 at Williamson Memorial Hospital of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Dec. 16, 1981 at South Williamson, Ky., he was the son of Johnny M. Sr. and Kathy Hall Thompson of Hell Creek.

Mr. Thompson was a coal miner employed by Durbin Coal Co. of Dingess.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandparents, William and Alpha Hall of Delbarton, and Ted and Boots Thompson of Hell Creek.

He has two brothers, Jason and Jaime of Cincinnati, Ohio, and J.D. and Lora of Walworth, Wis.; a special friend, Brandi Adkins of Elk Creek; and cousins, Carl and Amanda Thompson of Hell Creek.

Funeral services will be held at the Little Dove United Baptist Church at Belo on Sunday, May 19, at 11 a.m. with the Elder Jimmy Maynard and Rev. Lewis Hall Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Thompson Family Cemetery at Hell Creek.

Pallbearers will be Dave Hall, Brandon Horn, Jason Cantrell, Chad Hunt, Carl Thompson Jr., Mark Bailey, George Maynard and Lee Canterbury.

Visitation will be at the church Saturday after 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.

Chafin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Justin Cope
Justin David Blossfield Cope was stillborn on Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Born May 7, 2002 at Williamson Memorial Hospital, he was the son of John David Blossfield and Angel Lynn Cope, both of Williamson.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Lisa Anne Marie Cope of the home; grandparents, Rose Marie Cope and Jimmy Burns, both of Williamson, and Grover David and Cheryl Evelyn Blossfield of Morganton, N.C.; and a great-grandmother, Ida Pearl Cope of Williamson.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Mt. View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky., with Buddy Kendrick officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Ky.

Sammie Workman
Sammie Workman, 75, of Logan, W. Va., died Saturday, May 18, 2002 at Logan General Hospital, Logan.

Born Nov. 1, 1926 in Mingo County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Katherine Ferguson Workman.

Mr. Workman was a laborer.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Workman of Logan.

Other survivors include a brother, Robert Workman of Williamson, and two sisters, Emma Jean Workman of Columbus, Ohio, and Ruth Carol Kazee of Kermit.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 19, 2002 at 6 p.m. at Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield Chapel.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 20, at the Marrowbone Freewill Baptist Church.

Interment will be at the Muncy Cemetery, Kermit.

Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kyle Kenneda
Kyle Ray Kenneda was stillborn on Monday, May 6, 2002 at Logan General Hospital.

Born May 6, 2002 in Logan, he was the son of Kevin Ray Kenneda and Jessica Lynn Hatfield of Simon.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Frank and Bertha Toler; paternal great-grandfather, Edgar Kenneda; paternal great-great grandparents, Powell and Nancy Cline; and maternal great-great grandfather, Walter Morgan.

Survivors include parents, Kevin Ray Kenneda and Jessica Lynn Hatfield of Simon; maternal grandfather, Tommy Hatfield of Rock House Mountain, Hanover; maternal grandmother, Melinda Morgan of Justice; paternal grandfather, Ervin Kenneda of Highpoint, N.C.; paternal grandmother, Betty Kenneda of Simon; maternal great-grandparents, Arnold and Geneva Hatfield of Road Branch, Coal Mountain, and Frank and Norma Jean Morgan of Simon; paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Kenneda of Huff Creek, Hanover; and maternal great-great grandmother, Zelia Morgan of Oceana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, with the Rev. Terry Morgan officiating.

Burial will follow in Toler Cemetery, Simon.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

There will be no visitation.

Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert is in charge of the arrangements.

Stella Bateman
Stella Bateman, 80, of Huntington, formerly of Williamson, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Born Aug. 23, 1921 in White Post, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Henry and Cora (Kneeve) Fletcher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Bateman; brothers, Bill and Josh Fletcher; daughter, Betty Keaton; and sisters, Bessie Fletcher and Minnie Fisher.

Mrs. Bateman was a homemaker and member of the New Life Church of Huntington.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary (Joe) Kirk of Williamson, Barbara Bateman of West Huntington, Judy (Danny) Ratliff of Huntington and Janette (J.R.) O'Brien of Chattaroy; nine grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her fiance, Elbert Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Weaver Mortuary with the Rev. Dwight Barker officiating.

Burial will follow in Collins Cemetery, Dans Branch.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 10, at the mortuary.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Weaver Mortuary of West Williamson.

Myrtle Hatfield
Myrtle Hatfield, 79, of Gilbert, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at Guyan Valley Hospital, Logan.

Born Oct. 30, 1922 in Bruno, she was a daughter of the late Okey and Eskie Hatfield Grimmett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Nancy Vidor, Louisa Workman and Vicie Bryant; and three brothers, Naamon Grimmett, James Okey Grimmett and Joe Grimmett.

Mrs. Hatfield was a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Guy Hatfield of Gilbert; three daughters, Virginia Blankenship and Norma Trent, both of Hampden, and Shirley (Don) Bonham of Beckley; three sons, Guy Hatfield Jr. and Adam Hatfield, both of Gilbert, and Dallas (Vicky) Hatfield of Baisden; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Lee Grimmett of Richands, Va., and Raymond Grimmett of Lorado; two sisters, Ina Clark of Lundale and Betty Pack of Lorain, Ohio; and a special sister-in-law, Cora Grimmett of Lundale.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, with the Rev. Diamond Carter officiating.

Burial will follow in Hatfield Cemetery at Sharon Heights, Hampden.

Active pallbearers will be Doug Hatfield, Homer Hatfield, Woody Trent, Donald Hatfield, Frenchie Duty, Mark Grimmett and Rick Grimmett.

Friends may call at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert from 6-9 p.m. Friday.

Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert is in charge of the arrangements.

Raymond Kenneda
Raymond Kenneda, 78, of Simon, died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at Logan General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002 at the Apostolic House of Faith in Simon with the Revs. Barry Brooks and Terry Browning officiating. Burial will follow in the Kenneda Cemetery on Foundation Fork, Simon.

Friends may call at the church Friday and Saturday after 6 p.m.
