Reva Jarvis

Reva Ruble Jarvis, 52, of Williamson, W. Va., passed away Saturday, November 6, 2004.

Born May 15, 1952, in Williamson, W. Va., to the late Henry Ruble and Rosa Lee Bow Ruble, she was the former owner and operator of a night club in Williamson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Jarvis; and brothers, Hobert and Freeland Ruble.

Surviving are her children, William Steven Ruble, Charles Henry Jarvis, Elizabeth Ruble, Amanda Ruble Williams and Ashley Ruble Rowe; brothers, Henry "Crock" Ruble, Paul Ruble, Clinton Ruble, Dock Ruble and John "Henry Ruble" Carter; sisters, Linda Jarvis and Alice Jarvis. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2004, 1 p.m., at Pilgrim Home United Baptist Church at Maher, W. Va. with Bro. Chris Hensley and Bro. Matthew Martin officiating. Burial will follow at McNeely Family cemetery at Maher, W. Va. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Friday evening at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler, Ky.

Mark Cohenour

Mark Anthony Cohenour, 48, of Wharncliffe, W. Va., passed away Sunday, November 7, 2004, at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, W. Va.

He was born October 5, 1956, in Williamson, W. Va. to the late Thomas Grover and Viola Bell Brown Cohenour.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 11, 2004, 1 p.m., at Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer at Hampden, W. Va. with Rev. Carl "Cab" Wolford and Rev. Denny May officiating.

Burial will follow at the Cohenour Family cemetery, Wharncliffe, W. Va.

Friends may call the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer at Hampden, W. Va., Wednesday, November 10, 2004, from 6 - 10 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mounts Funeral Home, Gilbert, W. Va.

Martha Cline
Martha Elizabeth Cline, 73, of Man, W. Va., formerly of Mullens, W. Va., passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at her residence in Man, W. Va., after a long illness.

She was born January 25, 1931, in Otsego, W. Va., to the late Arthur and Ella Mae Green Billings.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 22, 2004, 1 p.m., at Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church, Man, W. Va. with Rev. Clarence Fortner and Rev. Frank Copley officiating. Entombment will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, W. Va.

Friends may call Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church on Sunday, November 21, 2004, at 6 p.m.

Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert, W. Va., is in charge of arrangements.

Pete Spano
Visitation for Pete Spano, 43, of Chattaroy, will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Weaver Mortuary in West Williamson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Full arrangements will be announced by Weaver Mortuary of West Williamson.

Pauline Mills
Pauline Mills, 84, of Shoreline, Wash., formerly of Williamson, W. Va., died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, in Shoreline.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Weaver Mortuary of West Williamson.

Hazel Brown

Hazel LaTisha (Taylor) Brown, 80 of Williamson, W. Va., departed this life on November 27, 2004. Hazel was born May 16, 1924 in Williamson, W. Va. to the late Burke Sr. and Brooksie Taylor.

Hazel, known to all as "Jenny" was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. For 20 years, she worked for Dr. Russell Salton as a housekeeper. After her employment with Dr. Salton she was employed at the Country Club as a cook for several years.

After this, she continued to devote more of her time to her husband, children and grandchildren. Her life and love revolved around her family.

In addition to her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by husband, Curtis Brown; daughter, Brenda Kay Brown; sister, Maggie Jones White; and brothers, Arthur, Burke Jr., and Addison.

Jenny is survived by her children, ConJeane McAllister (Vincent) of Queens, NY, Hazel Ellis (Pete), Linda Brown (Arthur) and Curtis Brown Jr. all of Charleston, W. Va., Sharon (Vone) Wilkerson (Donnie), Mary Jane (Missy) Wilkerson (Lawrence Sr.) all of Williamson, W. Va.; and stepson, Ronald Brown of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Lucy T. Caul of Williamson, W. Va.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2004, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Williamson, W. Va., with the Rev. Elder Paige officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, W. Va.

Viewing will be from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Williamson on Wednesday, December 1, 2004.

Pallbearers will be Mike Jones, Garland Jones, Curtis (Papus) Brown Jr., Jason Williams, Will Bradley and Patrick Hunter. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Wilkerson, Odell Parks, Arthur (Gove) Taylor Jr., Charles Pete Ellis and Lwarence Wilkerson Sr..

R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Ky., is in charge of arrangements.

Delsie Weddington

Delsie Brunty Weddington, 86, of Huntington, W. Va., formerly of Hardy, Ky., passed away Sunday, November 28, 2004, at Heritage Center, Huntington, W. Va.

Born March 21, 1918, in Burnwell, Ky., to the late H.T. Maynard and Stella Crum Maynard, she was a former member of First Baptist Church of Belfry. She was a former salesperson for J.C. Penney's in Williamson, W. Va.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Brunty; second husband, Crit Weddington; two sons, Edgar Brunty Jr. and Kenneth Ray Brunty; daughter, Delores Saddler Sartain; three sisters; two brothers; one grandchild; one great grandchild; and a son-in-law.

Surviving are her sons, Hansford (Marcia) Brunty of Chesapeake, Ohio, Paul (Mary) Brunty of Dayton, Ohio and Elton Brunty and Noah (Martha) Brunty of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughters, Mary Cleghon of Elizabeth, W. Va., Stella (Jack) DePue of Elizabeth, W. Va., Rebecca Stacy of Circleville, Ohio and Linda Scott of Madison Heights, Mich.; 12 stepchildren, Gladys Runyon of Aurora, Co., Fay (Wayne) Blackburn of Sidney, Ky., Lorene Nunley of Clearwater, Fla., Phyllis (Gene) Music of Portage, Mich., Russell (Janet) Weddington of Farmville, Va., Buddy Weddinton of Columbus, Ohio, Mable (Robert) Kitchen of Bethel, Ohio, Ernestine (Joe B.) Varney of Sidney, Ky., Ethel Gutowski of Daytona Beach, Fla., Edith Weddington of Amelia, Ohio, Anna Sue (Rick) Kupchunas of Ormand Beach, Fla and Sam (Deborah) Weddington of Abingdon, Va.; sisters, Jean Hoff of Nitro, W. Va. and Anita Scott of Chesapeake, Va.; 21 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 20 step grandchildren; 34 step great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2004, 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Belfry with Rev. Bob Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 1, 6 - 10 p.m., at Rogers Funeral Home. The body will lie in state from 1 - 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the funeral.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of R.E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, Ky.

Willie Cline

Willie "Little Bill" Cline, 80, of Baisden, W. Va., passed away Sunday, November 28, 2004, at CAMC Memorial Division, Charleston, W. Va.

He was born November 3, 1924, in Baisden, W. Va., to the late Charlie and Susie Cline Cline.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2004, 1 p.m., at Baisden Community Church at Baisden, W. Va. with Rev. Billy Beheler and Rev. Jonas Trent officiating. Burial will follow at Rex Cline cemetery, Baisden, W. Va.

Friends may call the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening, November 30, 2004, from 6 - 9 p.m.

Mounts Funeral Hone of Gilbert, W. Va. is in charge of arrangements.

Linda G. Runyon

Linda G. Runyon, 59, of French Creek, W. Va., formerly of Aflex, Ky., died Sunday, November 28, 2004.

Born April 6, 1945, to the late Taylor and Eva Dorton Napier, she is preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her children, Eva (Danny), Crayton (Sandy), Taulby (Lisa) and Joe (Kim); sisters, Maxine Marion, Delores Helton, Lorraine Woods and Pauline Richardson; eight grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Heavner & Cutwright Funeral Chapel Tuesday, from 6 - 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in a private family cemetery at Brooks Hill, W. Va.

Joel D. Moore

Mr. Joel D. Moore, 76, of Hope, Harkans, formerly of Michigan, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2004, in Medical Park Hospital, Hope, Ark.

He was born September 12, 1928, in Williamson, W. Va. to Toliver P. "T.P." Moore and Edna Annie Oglesby Moore.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 28, 2004, 6 p.m., at Brazzel/Oakrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Ark., with Rev. Joe Brown officiating. Services will also be held Thursday, December 2, 2004, 10 a.m., at Voran Funeral Home Chapel, Taylor, Mich. with Rev. Edward Crider and Rev. Jason Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in Michigan Memorial cemetery, Huron, Mich.

Family visitation was held Sunday, November 28, 2004, from 2 - 6 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakrest Funeral Home, Hope, Ark., and family visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, 1 - 9 p.m. at Voran Funeral Home, Taylor, Mich.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brazzel/Oakrest Funeral Home, Hope, Ark.

Mrs. Clemma Rotilio

Mrs. Clemma Smith Rotilio, 76, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2004, at High Point Place, High Point, N.C.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at Guilford Memorial Park with Pastor Barney Law officiating.

Clemma was born September 8, 1928, in Ransom, Ky. to the late App and Jennie Smith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Rotilio is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Rotilio, Sr. of High Point, N.C.; son, Joseph Rotilio, Jr. and wife Connie of Greensboro, N.C; daughter, Karen S. Scott and husband Mike of Churchill, Tenn.; grandson, William Craig Dotson of Rome, Ga.; granddaughters, Katrina Lynn Owens of Kingsport, Tenn., Ashley Renea Rotilio of High Point, N.C.; step-grandchildren, Allison M. Haigler of Raleigh, N.C., Michael D. Scott, Jr. of Mt. Carmel, Tenn., Amy Lynn Charles of Phelps, Ky.; great grandchildren, Arianna Karin Dotson of North Las Vegas, Nev., Kaley Brooke Rotilio of High Point, N.C., Alexis Hope Cabe of Thomasville, N.C., Jaiden Craig Dotson of Rome, Ga.; step-great grandchildren, Uniqua and Kapreese Smith of Rome, Ga.; sister, Wilma Carol Achatz of St. Augustine, Fla.; brothers, Francis J. Smith of Ransom, Ky., Leonard H. Smith of High Point, N.C., Darryl Ray Smith of Thomasville, N.C.; James York Smith of Lexington, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, N.C., 27407.

James Varney

James Dewey Varney, 37, of Chattaroy, W. Va., passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at his home. He was born August 4, 1967, at Williamson, W. Va., the son of the late William and Euna Kayser Varney.

He is also preceded in death by nephews Tommy Varney, Devin Varney and Jalen Davis.

He was a coal miner employed by Argus Energy as a roof bolter machine operator.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen Hurt Varney of Chattaroy, W. Va.; a daughter, Amanda Young of the home; brothers, Jeff (Sheena) Varney of Varney, W. Va., John (Brookie) Varney of Ohio and William (Virgie) Varney of Pinsonfork, Ky.; sisters, Evelyn (Bob) Estepp of Beech Creek, W. Va., Leigh Onia (Ruben) Vanhoose of Nolan, W. Va., Juanita (Till) Hunt of Delbarton, W. Va., Iva (Gary) Davis of Chattaroy, W. Va. and Nancy (Randall) Cisco of Varney, W. Va.; and a hose of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Thursday afternoon, January 13, 2005, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, W. Va.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 - 9 p.m.

Chafin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Justice Sr.

Raymond Justice Sr., 88, of Varney, W. Va., passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Chafin Funeral Home at a later date.

Raymond Justice Sr., 88, of Varney, W. Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at the Williamson Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 21, 1916 at Lando, W. Va., the son of the late Lorensa Dow and Sinda Gilman Justice. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosella Varney Justice; a son, L.D. Justice III; sons-in-law, Paul Manning Sr., Rev. C.R. Richard Evans and Robert Dawson; grandson, Robbie Dawson; five brothers, Clarence, Jonah, Lorenza Jr., Bradford and Stewart Justice; and five sisters, Betty Kennedy, Myrtle Edwards, Emma Jean Fuller, Tilda Varney and Vicie Dempsey.

He was a retired coal miner.

Survivors include one brother, Granville Justice of Omar, W. Va.; two sons, Raymond Jr. (Debbie) Justice and Bruce (Judy) Justice both of Varney, W. Va.; six daughters, Mary Evans of Chattaroy, W. Va., Patricia Dawson of Alexandria, Ohio, Mildred (Lewis) Wyatt and Ruth Manning of Ashland, Ky., Gladys (Ronald) Hatfield of Varney, W. Va. and Martha Cisco of Sandusky, Ohio; three grandchildren whom he raised, Everette Justice and Mary Jo Shepherd of Indiana and Charles Justice of Varney, W. Va.; 29 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Friday morning January 14, 2005, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Snodgrass officiating.

Burial will follow in the Justice cemetery at Varney, W. Va. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 - 9 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chafin Funeral Home, Delbarton, W. Va.

Edmund Brundell Jr.
Edmund Dewey Brundell, Jr., 76, of Lakeland, Fla., passed away Friday, January 7, 2005, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Born October 28, 1928, in Devon, W. Va., he was a miner for Mobil Chemical Company. Mr. Brundell moved to Lakeland in 1954, having previously resided in Roanoke, Va.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge #91, Scottish Rite Tampa Valley, Shriner Egypt Temple-Tampa and was a pilot and a member of EAA (Experimental Aircraft).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Brundell.

Surviving are his son, Edmund David Brundell of Fort Myers, Fla.; sister, Ethel Kennedy of Lakeland, Fla.; three granddaughters; and one great grandson.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital, c/o Egypt Temple, P.O. Box 22805, Tampa, FL 33622.
