Betty Jane Lester Beavers, 73, of Coal Mountain, WV, passed away March 15, 2007 at the McDowell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Gary, WV. Born April 12, 1933 at Ikes Fork, WV, she was the daughter of the late Arther Lester and Eula Mary Mullins Lester Riffe. Ms. Beavers was of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
Survivors include 1 Son: Walter Beavers; 2 Daughters: Mary Dotson & Betty Jo Beavers;
4 Granddaughters: Roxanne (Chuck) Puett, Kimberly (Ballard) Dixon, Jr., Theresa Johnson & Lisa Beavers; 2 Grandsons: John Beavers and Kenny Dotson, Jr.;
3 Great-Grandchildren: Carly Puett, Dakota Dixon and Jessica Johnson.
As her request Mrs. Beavers was cremated.
A celebration of her life was held on Sunday, March 18, 2007, from 2 to 4 PM at the home of Roxanne and Chuck Puett, Coal Mountain, WV
Kenneth Richard "Ricky" Ferrell (Cheesy), 50, of Hampden, WV, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007 at his residence. Born November 12, 1956 at Man, WV, he was the son of Jack and Eurydice Perry Ferrell. Mr. Ferrell was a disabled coal miner and a retail manager, and was of the Baptist faith.
Proceeding him in death are: one brother: Jackie O. Ferrell, Jr., Paternal Grandparents: Humphrey & Eula Ferrell and Maternal Grandparents: Bruce B. & Lona Workman Perry.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his ex-wife, Angela Dawn Ferrell; one son, Kenneth "Bo, Bo" (Bonnie) Ferrell of Gilbert; one daughter, Candace Hope Ferrell of the home; three grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah, and Bradley Ferrell all of Gilbert. Also surviving are: two brothers, Bruce and Jeffrey Ferrell of Gilbert; five sisters, Kathy Watson, Deborah Hatfield, Sharon Ferguson, Pamela Hatfield all of Gilbert and Sheila Ferrell of Chiefland Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, WV on Saturday, March 17, 2007 from 6 to 9 PM. Funeral services were conducted at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Doug Williamson and Rev. Ronnie Lester. Burial followed at the Hatfield cemetery at Sharon Heights, Hampden, WV.

Born January 18, 1936 at Poke County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late George & Sylvia Purdue Cochran. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Bowens, 3 grandchildren; Matthew & Jamie Bobby Church and Robert Lee Bowens, Jr., 1 great-grandchild: Dalton Cole Gibson and 1 brother; James Cochran. Tina Lynn Poe (Woods) Chaffins, 35, of Wharncliffe, formerly of Isaban, departed this life on March 2, 2007 at her residence. Born June 19, 1971 at Welch, she was the daughter of Ruby Cline of Isaban and Jimmy Dale Poe, Sr, of Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Glen Chaffins, Jr, of Wharncliffe, and her grandparents: Vada Jones and Jimmy Muncy.

Born on February 24, 1979, at South Williamson KY, she was the daughter of Thurman Hinkle and Rose (Browning) Hinkle.
Melissa was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.

Virginia 'Hickie' Browning, 82, of Gilbert, the beloved wife of Mora Lee Browning, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 25, 2008 from her residence.
Born on June 21, 1925 at Gilbert, she was the daughter of the late William 'Bill' and Josephine (Trent) Poe.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Mora Curtis Browning; five sisters: Dixie Cook, Alverta Browning, Florence Hatfield, Grace Johnson, and Nellie Prater; and a brother, Verner Poe.
'Hickie' was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was of the Church of God faith.

Lawrence Cline, 80, of Baisden, departed this life on Friday, January 25, 2008, at his residence.
Born on January 25, 1928 at Baisden, he was the son of the late Floyd and Virgie (Davis) Cline.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters: Rosemary Cline of Baisden and Teresa Cheryl Cline of Dallas TX; six brothers and four sisters.
Lawrence was a retired coal miner and of the Christian faith.

Ethel (Layne) Cline, 90, of Baisden, departed this life on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan WV.
Born on April 14, 1917 at Hurley VA, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ida (Matney) Layne.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joda Cline; two sons: Claude and Douglas Cline; two daughters: Brenda Sue Cline and Shirley Cline; her three brothers: Sanford, Isiah, and Johnny Cline; and a sister, Amanda L. Cline.
Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the Rosa Regular Baptist Church at Baisden.

David Lee 'Mudlick' Harding, 60, of Baisden, departed this life on Sunday, January 20, 2008, at Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson.
Born on December 30, 1947, at Grundy, VA, he was the son of the late Grover Lee Harding and the late Mary (Marshall) Harding McClanahan.
David was a US ARMY veteran. While in the service he received the Parachutist Badge, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a disabled coal miner and of the Church of God Faith.
