Gay Marie Endicott, 81, of Gilbert went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, May 16, 2008 from her residence.
Born on September 22, 1926 at Leatherwood Creek, she was the daughter of the late Elbry and Rosetta Browning.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Endicott.
Gay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of the Leatherwood Community Church, and a retired school custodian for Mingo County Schools.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Gay are her loving husband Auxier Endicott, her eight sons: Michael (Irene) Endicott of North Spring, Roger (Debbie), Shelby (Rose), Billy (Jackie), and David (Debbie) Endicott, all of Browning Fork, Clyde (Becky) Endicott of Hampden, Johnny (Janice) Endicott of Gilbert, and Bobby (Cindy) Endicott of Baisden; her three daughters: Margaret Brown, Jennifer (Dale) Collins of Browning fork, and Sonja (Todd) Mounts of Baisden; her 23 grandchildren; her 28 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly of Prayer at Hampden on Sunday, May 18th, after 6:00 pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 19th at Freedom Full Gospel House of Prayer with the Rev, Diamond Carter, Rev Scotty Dingess, and the Rev. David Browning officiating. Burial followed in The Hollywood cemetery at Gilbert. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

George (Jay) Cline, 79, of Mohawk, WV passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 at his home following a brief illness.
He was born June 16, 1928 to the late Bob and Margaret Cline.
Mr. Cline was a retired coal miner and a member of the Mt. Zion Old Regular Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and a special grandfather. He leaves behind a host of family and friends to mourn for him.
He was preceded in death by a special son-in-law, Allen Petrunger of Princeton, WV. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Florence Lester and Berchie Branch, and four brothers, Clyde, Harold, Wendell and Butler Cline.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Naomi Cline, four daughters, Diana Petrunger of Princeton, Kathy Hunt and husband Charles of Mohawk, Shelba Dotson and husband Michael of Falls Mills, VA and Angela Thornsbury and husband Kerry of Princeton. Seven grandchildren, Ryan Hunt and wife Sharon, Todd Petrunger and wife Leah, Chad Hunt and wife Crystal, Joshua Petrunger and wife Candice, Courtney and Ashleigh Dotson and Hannah Thornsbury.
Survivors also include one sister, Betty Cline of Peterstown, and four brothers, Lawrence Cline of Panther, Gordon Cline of Tazewell, VA and Rex Cline and Darrell Cline of Mohawk.
Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons.
Friends may call at the Mt. Zion Old Regular Baptist Church Monday and Tuesday evening after 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 o'clock.
Elders called are Kermit Lester, John R. Justice, Hershel Hurley, Arthur Short, Zeb Justice, Hobert Hamilton, Phillip Estep and Harrison Runyeon.

Mary Bailey, 63, of Gilbert, WV, departed this life Friday, May 9th, 2008 from Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV.
Born on March 7, 1945 at Isaban, she was the daughter of the late James and Melissa (Blankenship) Cline.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bailey: three daughters: Rita Bailey, Jesse Cline, and Kathy New; her brother, Earl Cline; and two sisters: Ruby and Cathy Cline.
Mary was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Mary are her four daughters: Carolyn (William) Wolford of Gilbert, Freda Hatfield of Hampden, Rhonda (Terry) Ward of Baisden, and Tina (Roger) Cline of Man; her son, Ronald (Michelle) Bailey of Browning Fork, her four sisters; Oday Woolwine, Della Mae Cline, and Dorothy Hinton of Princeton, WV, And Dreama Walls of Hanover, 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends called at The Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of
Prayer Tuesday May 13th after 6 :00 pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 14th at Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer with the Rev. Carl Wolford and Rev. Jonas Trent officiating. Burial followed at Four pole cemetery at Mohawk, WV
Pallbearers were William Ray Wolford, Donald Ray Kennedy, Daniel Johnson, Raney Davis, Sam Wolford, and Ronald Bailey.

Marie Bishop, 78, of Browning Fork section of Gilbert went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday, May 8th from Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born on June 25, 1929 at Gilbert Creek, she was the daughter of the late Lige and Buna (Cline) Cline.
In Addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers: Noxel (Christine), Oscar (Ruby), Lenford, Dick (Dorothy), Denver, Mack (Irene) Cline; one sister, Maybelle (Paul) Moore, and a nephew Paul Robert Moore.
Marie was a homemaker and a member of the Hanover Baptist Church, and she loved to grow flowers, evident by the beautiful garden she kept while here.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Marie are her loving husband, Vestal Bishop; her daughter, Lee Ann (Glen) Riffe of Hanover; her brother Winston (Faye) Cline of Gilbert; her sister Kathlene (Danny) Johnson of Anaheim, California, ; and her special grandchild Khan Cline of Abington VA; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Sunday May 11th from 6 to 9pm. Funeral services were held 1:00 pm on Monday, May 12, 2008 at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Arnold Harless, Rev Jackie Lester, and the Rev Diamond Carter officiating. Burial followed in the Iaeger Memorial cemetery at Roderfield. Friends and family served as pallbearers.

Joe 'Bud' McCoy, 71, of Man departed this life on Friday, May 2, 2008, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland KY.
Born on October 31, 1936 at Becco, he was the son of the late Joe M. and Millie Florence Wilson McCoy.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, V. J. Morgan and Amizah McCoy, and one sister, Magdalene Dunn.
Joe was a retired coal miner with T & C Coal Company and of the Church of God faith.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Joe are: his wife, Maggie Blankenship McCoy of Man; his two daughters: Sandy (Wally) Griffin of Man and Stacy (Bob) Mason of North Carolina; his son, John McCoy of Man; his seven grandchildren: John Austin Griffin of Man, Dustin Griffin of Ohio, Adam, Carrie Grace, Amy Grace, and Sarah Grace Mason of North Carolina, and Michaela Lynn Blankenship of Mallory; his sister, Sarah Arlena Gamble of Man; his four step-children: Joe Allen Morgan of Virginia, Angela Capps of Florida, Avery Ross Morgan Jr., of Ohio, Danny (Jennifer) Blankenship of Mallory; his four step-grandchildren: Kirby Capps, Candace, Ethen, and Nicole Hays all of Florida; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Tuesday, May 6th from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services were held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert with the Rev. Richard Gibson officiating. Per his request the body was cremated.

Zettie Magalene (Cantrell) Hatfield 82 of Browning Fork departed this life on Friday, May 2, 2008, at her residence.
Born on May 10, 1925 at Wharncliffe, she was the daughter of the late George and Molly (Browning) Cantrell.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Bangor and Fraley Cantrell and three sisters: Ruth Gibson, Dora Hatfield and Marie Cantrell.
Zettie was a homemaker and of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Zettie are: her five sons: Jessie (Leslie) Hatfield of Justice, Donald (Diana) Hatfield of Varney, Ronald (Sherry) Hatfield of Chesapeake OH, Lonnie Hatfield of Wharncliffe, and Roger Hatfield of Browning Fork; her three daughters: Emogene (David) Shirkey of Beckley, Connie (John) May of Baisden, and Pauline Hatfield of Browning Fork; her 12 grandchildren; her 7 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Browning Fork House of Faith at Browning Fork section of Gilbert, on Sunday, May 4th after 6:00 pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 5th, at the Browning Fork House of Faith with the Rev. Diamond Carter officiating. Burial followed in the Carter cemetery at Browning Fork. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Billy Ray Akers, 60, of Franklinville NC departed this life on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro NC.
Born on June 1, 1947 at McVeigh KY, he was the son of the late William Frank and Minnie (York) Akers.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his father-in-law, Raymond 'Boney' Kennedy; and a step grandchild, David Matthew Kennedy.
He was a resident of North Carolina for 25 years where he retired as a factory machine operator.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Billy are: his companion and best friend of 14 years, Christine Robinette; his son, Timothy Shawn (Wendy) Akers of WI; his two daughters: Cathy Sue Akins and companion Pete Daniels, and April Dawn Wilmer and companion Andy Inman all of NC; his two step-sons: John 'Buck' Kennedy of NC and Dewayne (Penny) Kennedy of WV; his two step-daughters: Jessica (Kevin) Poole of NC and Mary (Charles) Stafford of WV; his three sisters: Clara Jean (Jack) Queen of KY, Minnie Ethel (Donnie) May of MD, and Kathy (Brian) Hatfield of OH; his eight brothers: Frank Akers Jr., Donnie Akers, and Bruce Akers all of KY, Paul (Kathy) Akers and James Akers of MI, Michael (Denise) Akers, Ronnie (Judy) Akers, and Roger Akers all of FL; his 16 grandchildren; his 4 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Ridges Funeral Home in Asheboro NC on Sunday, April 27th from 7 to 9 pm. Friends also called at the Long Branch Apostolic House of Faith on Monday, April, 28th after 6 pm. Funeral services were held at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 29th at the Long Branch Apostolic House of Faith with the Rev. Homer L. Cline and the Rev. Barry Brooks officiating. The committal services were held at the church immediately following the funeral services. Pallbearers were: Frank Jr., Donnie, Bruce, Paul, James, Michael, Ronnie and Roger Akers and John 'Buck' and Dewayne Kennedy. To honor his wishes he was cremated.

Tammy Lynn Cantrell, 42, of Wharncliffe departed this life on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at her residence.
Born on January 3, 1966 at Welch, she was the daughter of Bernard and Delana (Dotson) Cantrell.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bangor and Ethel (Gibson) Cantrell and her maternal grandfather, Emmer Dotson.
Tammy was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Tammy are: her parents, Bernard and Delana Cantrell of Wharncliffe; her son, Joshua D. Cantrell of Wharncliffe; her daughter, Brooke N. Cantrell of Wharncliffe; her maternal grandmother, Golbie (Sparks) Dotson of Delbarton; her two sisters: Bernice (Ernie) Cantrell Kennedy of Beech Creek and Amy (Ray) Dalton of Wharncliffe; her four brothers: Bangor (Louise) Cantrell of Beech Creek, Matthew Cantrell of Wharncliffe, Brian (Barbie) Cantrell of Taylorsville, and George (Michelle) Cantrell of Varney; her seven nieces: Brittany, Jessica, CaSara, CaSandra, Caitlin, Tyra, and Alyssa Cantrell; her four nephews: Justin Brewer, Tyler Cantrell Dixon, and Bryan and Cody Cantrell; her special friend, Rita Hatfield of Wharncliffe; and her special caregivers from Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Faith Church of God at Wharncliffe on Monday and Tuesday, April 28th and 29th, after 6 pm each evening. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 30th at the Faith Church of God with the Rev. Richard Belcher, Rev. Danny Ward, Rev. Denny May, and Rev. David Ferguson officiating. Burial followed in the Cantrell cemetery at Wharncliffe. Pallbearers were: Bangor, Matthew, Brian, George, and Joshua Cantrell, Rush Kennedy, and Ray Dalton. Honorary pallbearers were: Robert Sparks, Joe and Bangor Cantrell.
