Renee Lorine Coleman, 19, of Panther, departed this life Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from Bluefield Community Hospital.
Born on August 3, 1989, at Welch, she was the lovely daughter of Diana Rowe the late Tony J. Vanover .
Renee was preceded in death by her Maternal grand-parents; Willard Bailey and Ethel Lorine Bailey, paternal grand-father; Harless 'Smokey' Vanover.
In addition to her mother those left to love and cherish the memory of Renee are her brothers; John, Steven and Daniel Rowe, and Cody Vanover, her step-sister; Tonya Renee Vanover, her uncles; Larry Joe (Judy) Vanover, David (Sheila) Vanover, Harless (Lisa) Vanover, all of Litwar, Willard (Nita) Bailey, Eddie (Myrtle) Bailey, Troy (Judy) Bailey, all of Lower Long Pole, her aunts; Eldonna Vanover of Litwar, Peggy Sue (Darrell) Roberts of Johnny Cake, Loretta (Donald) Atwell of Raysal, Audrey (John) Blevins of Welch, her grand-mother; Dora Vanover, her step-father; John Henry Rowe.
Friends called at the Isaban Church of God on Saturday, August 9, 2008 after 6:00 pm.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, August 10, 2008, at 12:00 pm, at the Isaban Church of God with the Rev. Jimmy Justice officiating. Burial followed in the Long Pole Community cemetery at Panther.
Pallbearers were family and friends.

Phillip Browning, 55, of Verner, crossed the river to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 5, 2008.
Born on April 16, 1953 at Iaeger, WV, he was the son of Troy Browning Jr. and Lorene Nester Browning of Verner, WV.
Phillip was preceded in death by his grand-parents; Troy Sr. and Chloe Browning of Verner, and Charlie and Minnie (Vance) Nester of Gilbert, and a brother-in-law; Steve Nugent.
In Addition to his parents, those left to love and cherish the memory of Phillip are his daughter: Denise (Jeff) Browning of Wharncliffe; his son: Troy Anthony (Kristen) Browning of Lansing, MI; his grand-children: Erica and Olivia Browning of Wharncliffe, Dylan and Makenzie Browning of Lansing, MI; his sisters: Pamela Nugent of Verner, and Christie (Rocky) Conley of Amhersdale; his nieces: Sandi Denny and Savannah Richards both of North Carolina. Phillip will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Phillip was a retired UMWA Coal Miner and of the Church Of God Faith.
Friends called at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer at Hampden, Thursday evening, August 7, 2008 after 6:00 pm. Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer at Hampden, with Rev. Carl Wolford, Rev. Michael Browning, and Brother Phillip Robinson. Burial followed in the Browning cemetery at Verner.
Pallbearers were Dallas Browning, Jerry Dale Browning, Dale Browning, Joe David Browning, Matthew Stanley, Clinton Browning, and Randy Dye.
Honorary pallbearers were; David Bragg, Michael Browning, Phillip Robinson, Jimmy Browning, Bob Griffith, Tracy Guy Browning, Tracy Browning, and Segal Browning.

Eugene 'Berry' Hurley, 69, of Little Egypt Road, Gilbert, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2008.
Born on July 13, 1939 at War Eagle, he was the son of the late Joe Hurley and Pearlie (Milam) Hurley.
Eugene was preceded in death by his four brothers: Mack, Natchic, Ray and Raymond Hurley; his five sisters: Eskie Kesler, Juanita Gwaltney, Norma Kennedy, Anetta Hoderfield and Wilma 'Bonnie' Justice.
Eugene was a member of the Browning Fork House of Faith.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Eugene are: his loving wife Tessie Hurley; his two sisters: Alma Brant of Max Meadows VA and Rita Nelson of Rocky Gap VA; his two brothers: Elzie Hurley of Rocky Gap VA and Rodney Darrell Hurley of Patrick Springs VA; his two stepsons: Carl Ferrell of Man and Ralph Manuel Jr. of Baisden; step-daughter, Diana Ferrell Crockett of Petersburg VA; his grandson, Zachery Manuel of Baisden; his special friends: Charles Ferrell of Battle Ground WA, and Herman Ferrell of Petersburg VA. Eugene will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial services were held Saturday evening, August 9, 2008 at 6:00 pm at The Lighthouse Church at Gilbert Creek with Pastor Winford Bradford, and Sunday evening, August 10, 2008 at 7:00 pm at The Browning Fork House of Faith with Pastor Diamond Carter.
At his request, he was cremated.

Pearl Cline, 84, of Baisden went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, August 4th, 2008.
She was born on December 27, 1923 to the late Troy and Rosa (Hatfield) Blankenship.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Branson Cline, her son; Billy Branson Cline, her Daughters; Shirley Faye Perry, Mary Rose Cline and Lara Cline, her brothers; John and Clinton Blankenship, sisters; Laudie Lester, Ida Cline and Lydia Blankenship.
Pearl was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden, WV
She is survived by her daughter, Norma Jean Hall of Baisden, her son; Scotty (Linda) Cline of Baisden, her sisters Dale Glandon and Nina (Dexter) Cline of Baisden and Hettie Huff of Mount Hope, her brothers; Junior (Causby), Delmer (Shirley) Blankenship of Baisden, Drewey (JoAnn) Blankenship of Hampden, Rayburn (Betty) Blankenship of Pigeon Creek and Delmer (Debbie) Blankenship Jr. of Horsepen, 4 grand-children, 5 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Full Gospel Church of God Tuesday, August 5th, 2008, after 6:00 pm.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 6th, 2008 at 1:00 pm with the Rev Jonas Trent, Rev Diamond Carter, and Rev. Lowell Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Glandon cemetery at Baisden.
Pallbearers were family and friends.

Debra Lynn Trent, 51, of Elkview, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 27, 2008, from Charleston Area Medical Center, General Division.
Debra was born on February 14, 1957 to Rex and Pauline (Layne) Cline of Baisden.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Glenn Trent.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Glenn (Sonny) Trent; her daughter, Sommer Lynette Trent and Fiancee Jeff West of Charleston; her two sons: Glenn H. (Crystal) Trent III of Bentonville VA, and Dustin K. Trent of Maguire Air Force Base NJ; her grand-daughter, Jeilyn Raine West of Charleston; her three sisters: Lana Salmons, Sheena Bragg and Dreama Roberson, all of Baisden; her brother: Brad Cline of Baisden; her mother-in-law, Letha Trent of Gilbert; and a host of family and friends who she loved being with, and who will miss her greatly.
Debra attended River Ridge Church, and she worked in the accounting department at CAMC. She loved spending time planting and growing flowers, which is evident by the beautiful flowers around her home.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, July 31st from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services were held Friday, August 1st at 1:00 pm, with the Rev. Stevie Cox officiating. Burial followed in the Rex Cline Family cemetery at Gilbert Creek.
Pallbearers were family and friends.

Rayburn Alton New, 71, of Baisden went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 from his residence.
Born on February 12, 1937 at Baisden, he was the son of the late Boyd and Naomi (Justice) New.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Craig Steven New; and one grandson, Michael Paul Hatfield.
Rayburn was a retired coal miner and a member of the Church of God in Jesus Name at Baisden.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Rayburn are: his loving wife of 50 years, whom he married on April 6, 1958, Vinia Mae (Morgan) New; his five daughters: Drema Faye (Gerry) Carter, Rita Gayle (Arvil) Hatfield, Mary Teena (Billy) Hatfield, Danna Noami (Jeffery) Thompson, and Patty Frances (Jesse) Hatfield; his 3 sons: Jackie Rayburn (Marieena) New, Joseph Edward (Tiffany) New, and Brian Keith (Kathy "Diana" Fox) New; his fourteen grandchildren: Crystal Dawn Lawrence, Jessica Lynn Gross, Emmett "William" Hatfield, Heather Rae Hatfield, Billy Jo Hatfield, Latasha Jo Toler, Kayla Nicole Toler, Craig Richard Cline, Brandon Jesse Hatfield, Zachary Lee Ryan Hatfield, Keisha Nicole New, Hannah Nicole New, Alton Ryan New, and Ivan Jacob New; his three step grandchildren: Cody Carter, Cody Stradley and Kristopher Stradley; his seven great grandchildren: Timmothy Austin Powers, Raven Brooke Powers, Keaton Isacc Hatfield, McKenzie Lynn Hatfield, Eariendia Jade Davis, Jordan Michael Hatfield, Skyler Ray Toler ; his step great grandchild, Abigail Judith Hanna Stanley; his nine sisters: Evelyn Walls of Max Meadows VA, Magdlene (Hillard) Blankenship of McGraw, Georgia (Mayford) Coleman of Bull Creek, Patty (Earl) Blackburn of Baisden, Eunice Berry of Fort Gay, Loretta (Paul) Kennedy of Long Branch, Diana Justice of Bull Creek, Joan Lester of Baisden, and Joyce Hatfield of Baisden; his two brothers: Delmo (Nancy) New and Randy (Norma) New both of Baisden; and a host of family and friends. Rayburn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 27th at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer with the Rev. Mark Stanley, Rev. Rocky Morgan, Rev. David Spears, and the Rev. Ricky Browning officiating. Burial followed in the Rayburn New Family cemetery at Baisden. Pallbearers were his grandsons and nephews: BJ Hatfield, Craig Cline, Brandon Hatfield, Eddie New, Shaun White, Randy Dale New, and Anthony Gibson.

Betty Lou 'Reba' Vance Ellis, 82, of Justice went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from her residence.
Born on March 16, 1926 at Hensley, she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Ruby Mae (Justice) Vance.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Humphrey 'Punk' Ellis Jr.; two sons: Randall Lee 'Randy' Ellis and Lowell Wayne 'Ron' Ellis; three brothers: Claude, James 'Jim' and Joseph Horace Vance; and four sisters: Evelyn Perry, Sylvia 'Sib' Vance, Ida Jean Vance, and Pricie Dunigan.
Reba was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a retired business owner. She and her husband owned and operated Ellis Restaurant in Justice for many years. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Reba are: her son, Edward Ray (Delennia) Ellis of Justice; her daughter, Margaret (Randall) Davis of North Spring; her four granddaughters: Michelle (Kevin) Lester of Justice, Samantha (DJ) Kenneda of North Spring, Miranda Ellis (fiancé Evan Condee) of Morgantown, and Crystal Slack (Michael Lester) of Hurley VA; her three grandsons: Eddie Ray (Tina) Ellis of Justice, Ronald (Tiffany) Ellis of Justice, and Ricky (Leanna) Ellis of Huntington; her nine great grandchildren: Ashley Lester, Kalenia, Payton, Matthew, Kylie, and Caleb Ellis all of Justice, and Tia, Justin, and Riana Kenneda all of North Spring; her two brothers: Harry (Helen) Vance and Charles Vance both of Justice; her three sisters: Mary (Oscar) Vanover of Justice, Janice McCrary of Lebanon TN, and Carrie (Dan) Wilburn of Abington VA; her special dog, Kiwi; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Reba will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Friday, July 25th from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 26th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Cook, Rev. Jackie Lester, and the Rev. Dennis Lester officiating. Burial followed in the Nathan Justice cemetery at Justice. Pallbearers were: Ronald, Eddie Ray, and Ricky Ellis, Kevin Lester, DJ Kenneda, and Michael Lester.
Honorary pallbearers: Harry Vance, Charles Vance, Oscar Vanover, Dan Wilburn, David Vest, and James Ellis.
