Auxier Endicott, 84, of Gilbert, departed this life on Monday, July 21, 2008 at Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson WV.
Born on December 25, 1923 at Martin County KY, he was the son of the late Liss and Hattie (Kirk) Endicott.
Auxier was a retired coal miner and of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Gay Marie Endicott; one son, Ricky Dale Endicott; one brother, Clinton "Chicken" Endicott; and one sister, Marie Brown.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Auxier are: his eight sons: Michael (Irene) Endicott of North Spring, David (Debbie) Endicott, Roger (Debbie) Endicott, Shelby (Rose) Endicott, and Billy (Jackie) Endicott, all of Browning Fork, Clyde (Rebecca) Endicott of Hampden, Johnny (Janice) Endicott of Gilbert, and Bobby (Cindy) Endicott of Baisden; his three daughters: Margaret Brown and Jennifer (Dale) Collins both of Browning Fork, and Sonja (Todd) Mounts of Baisden; his brother, Efford Endicott of Gilbert; his sister, Letha Trent of Gilbert; his half brother, Jimmy Wells of Kopperston; his 23 grandchildren; his 28 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Thursday, July 24th from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 25th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Johnson and the Rev. Diamond Carter officiating. Burial followed in the Hollywood cemetery at Gilbert. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Edgar James Carter, 57, of the Tamcliffe section of Gilbert, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 18, 2008, from his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 21, 1950 at Bradshaw, he was the son of the late Ray and Minnie (Christian) Carter.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Lynn Carter.
Edgar was a 1969 graduate of Gilbert High School. Upon completion of high school he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He worked for nearly 25 years as a coal miner. He was a hard worker, a devoted husband, a mentor, and a family man who cherished his family and friends. One of his most recent accomplishments, that made him very proud, was the construction of his son Jeremiah Carter's home in 2004. He only dreamed that someday he could do the same for his other children.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Eddie are: his loving wife of nearly 31 years, Janet Jean (Hendricks) Carter; his two sons: Jeremiah (Valerie) Carter and Isaiah Carter; his two daughters: Amy (Eric) Mullins and Melissa (Bill) Stevens; his five grandchildren: Ethan, Jasmine, Corey, Billie, and Shawn; his three sisters: Francis (the late George) Vance, Elizabeth (the late Ronnie) Carter, and Rena (the late Ed) Atwell; his three brothers: Ron (Edna) Carter, Roland Carter, and Pete (Beverly) Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. Edgar had a great life and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will long be remembered for his devotion to his family and friends.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Monday July 21st from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 22nd at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Endicott officiating. Burial followed in the Dye cemetery at Verner. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Christopher Harrison Wolford, our beloved little angel, went home to his Heavenly Father, on July 16, 2008, from Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, WV.
He was born on July 16, 2008 at Williamson Memorial Hospital, to Chris and Kayla (Salmons) Wolford.
Proceeding him in death was: his paternal grandfather, Millard Brewer; his paternal great grandparents: Jessie and Tootsie Brewer and Carl and Shirley Wolford; and his maternal great grandfather, Raymond Mounts.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Christopher are: his parents, Chris and Kayla Wolford of Wharncliffe; his paternal grandmother, Sharon Brewer of Wharncliffe; his maternal grandparents: Bessie (Kenneth) Blevins of Wharncliffe and Walter (Lisa) Salmons of Monroe County; his maternal great grandparents: Linda Mounts of Pigeon Creek and Era and Eleanor Salmons of Monroe County; his two aunts: Kayla Wolford of Wharncliffe and Brittany Salmons of Baisden; his two uncles: Brandon Salmons of Wharncliffe and Dakota Salmons of Monroe County; his special great aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Bill Gilkerson of Wharncliffe; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Sunday, July 20th from 12:00 noon to 2 pm. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Mounts officiating. Burial followed in the Pie cemetery at Varney. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Arthur J. Cline, 60, of Horsepen, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, July 14, 2008, from Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born on February 10, 1948 at Wharncliffe, he was the son of Alta Faye (Moore) Cline and the late Walter 'Teets' Cline.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a special cousin, Lucky Compton.
Arthur was a retired coal miner from Black Hawk Resources, he also loved dirt track racing, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family, he also attended the Browning Fork House of Faith Church.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Arthur is his loving wife Bonnie Cline of Horsepen, his mother; Alta Faye (Moore) Cline of Wharncliffe, his three sons; Walter (Gwen) Cline of Wharncliffe, Larry 'Homey' (Amber) Cline of Wharncliffe, A.J. (Whittney) Cline of Varney, his four sisters; Wanda (Dennis) Lester of Gilbert Creek, Sheila (Allen) Rose of Prestonsburg KY, Trish Cline of Wharncliffe, Barbara Cline of Nashville, TN, one brother Larry Cline of Wharncliffe, his five grand-children; Kirk, Makala, Dustin, Jasmyne and Jacob Cline, and his special dog 'Killer'.
Arthur had three very special friends, Eddie Chapman, David Owens, and Kendall Simpson.
Friends called at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer on Wednesday July 16, 2008 after 6:00 pm. Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Thursday July 17, 2008 at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer with the Rev. Diamond Carter and Rev. Lowell Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Beech Fork cemetery at Wharncliffe.
Pallbearers were Heath Bradford, James Blevins, Gary Wayne Blankenship, J.D. Lively, Anthony Cline, David Owens, Robert Fowler, Phillip May, Barry Ellis, Carl Cohenour and Roy Grimmett.
Honorary pallbearers were Tom White, Dick Ellis, Eddie Chapman, Anthony Blevins, Dallas Blevins, J.R. Cline, Ricky Lester, Mark Hatfield, John T. Hatfield and Steven Cline.

Julian Carl Hatfield, 76, of Midway California, formerly of Hampden, departed this life on July 9, 2008, at Huntington Beach California.
Born on August 7, 1931 at Hampden he was the son of the late Tracy Burgess and Stella May (Browning) Hatfield.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: four brothers: Tracy Jr., Ralph, Hayes, and Bennett: and two sisters: Patsy Hatfield and Marie Bosley.
Julian was of the Baptist Faith.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Julian are: his son, Randal Nelson of Defiance OH; his brother, Chester Hatfield of Forrest Hill KY; his four sisters: Opal Thomas of Fort Myers FL, Ruth Foreman of Sacramento CA, Rachel Hatfield of Chillicothe OH, and Patty Taylor of Hampden; a special nephew, his name sake, J.B. and his two children, Jeremiah and Brittany; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Thursday, July 17th from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert. Burial followed in the Hatfield cemetery at Sharon Heights, Hampden WV. Nephew and friends served as pallbearers.

Lillie M. Wilson, 66, of Justice, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July 13, 2008, from Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston, WV.
Born on May 8, 1942 at Justice, she was the daughter of the late Bub Roy and Marie (Perry) Wilson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Bob) Wilson.
Lillie was a very loving and caring person who always had a smile for you, she worked as a store clerk, and was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church at Justice.
Those left to love and to cherish the memory of Lillie are her two sisters: Shelby Smith of Justice and Mrs. Robert Elsie Wilson of Vinland NJ; her brother, Ronald (Violet) Wilson of Bridgeton NJ; her two special nieces: Lori (Denver Dale) Stacy of Gilbert and Amy (Lee) Vance of Logan; her special nephew, Mark (Cindy) Smith of Justice; her two great-nieces; Jenna Stacy and Marki Lester; her great-nephew, Nicholas Hoff; and a host of family and friends. Lillie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends called at the First Missionary Baptist Church at Justice on Tuesday July 15th from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 16th at the First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Nagy and Brother Timer May officiating.
Burial followed in the Wilson cemetery at Justice. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the men of the Church, Larry 'Bear' Browning, and Terry Hamrick.

Tracy Mary Evans, 85, of North Spring, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July 12, 2008 from Logan Center.
Born on August 8, 1922 at North Spring, she was the daughter of late Thomas and Leatha (Cline) Davis.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Marion Evans; two sons: William Ronald and John Wesley Evans; and an unnamed infant daughter.
Tracy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was a retired school teacher with the Wyoming County Board of Education, and she was a member of the Little Cub Memorial Church.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Tracy are: her four sons: Roger B. Hatfield of Monaville, Lawrence Thomas (Linda) Evans of Kopperston, Dr. Winston Churchill (Patricia) Evans of West Palm Beach FL, and Jerry Arnold (Sheila) Evans of North Spring ; her three daughters: Leatha Etta (John) Perry of Fallansbee, Diana Lynn Evans of Houston TX, and Dale Ann (James) Morris; a niece, Phyllis Lambert of Justice, her 22 grandchildren; her 18 great grand children; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home in Gilbert on Thursday, July 17th from 6 to 9pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 18th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Diamond Carter and the Rev. Lowell Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Lee Davis cemetery at North Spring WV. Pallbearers were: Billy, Scott, Keith, and Toby Evans, and Chris and Jimmy Morris.

Donald Sammons, 57, of Gilbert, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 7, 2008, from Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan.
He was born on June 19, 1951, at Baisden, the beloved son of Kathleen (Wimpee) Sammons and the late Herbert Sammons.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Sammons and a brother, Ted Sammons.
Donald was a loving husband, father, son and friend. He was a general laborer and a member of the Peaceful Valley Community Church at North Spring.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Donald are: his loving wife of 32 years, Marcia (Lilly) Sammons of Gilbert; his two daughters: Melissa (Bobby) Runyon and Stephanie Sammons both of Gilbert; his mother, Kathleen Sammons of Gilbert; his two brothers: Tim (Judy) Sammons and Ronald (Jill) Sammons both of South Carolina; his three sisters: Lois (Bob) Swartz of Ohio, Darlene (Paul) Ratliff of Kentucky, and Betty Swartz and fiancé Arthur Hensley of Gilbert; his sister-in-law, Joan Sammons of Ohio; special friends: Vickie Browning, Brenda Runyon, and Alvin and Merry Browning; and a host of family, friends, and a loving church family.
Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Friday, July 11th from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 12th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rickey Endicott and the Rev. Alvin Browning officiating. Burial followed in the Leatherwood Memorial cemetery at Justice. Pallbearers were: Bobby Runyon, Bryan Lilly, Jared Sammons, Barry Sammons, Arthur Hensley, and Gene Quarles. Honorary pallbearers were: Wesley Browning, Travis Runyon, Jeff Swartz, and Lionel Browning.
