COOPER, ROXIE A.

Roxie A. Cooper, 84, of Chloe, died Friday, June 28, 1996, at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center. She was born at Euclid, a daughter of the late Harrison and Viola Weekley Siers. She was a homemaker and a member of Walnut Methodist Church, Chloe. Surviving are one daughter, Dollie J. Cooper of Washington; two sons, Thomas J. Cooper and Glen W. Sears, both of Chloe; three sisters, Thelma Uchlyter and Evelyn Bailey, both of Parkersburg, and Orva Parsons of Minnora; two brothers, Habred Siers and Darrell Sears, both of Chloe; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arno Cooper, one son, Addis Cooper, one brother, and one sister. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with Rev. Carl Marks officiating. Burial was in Cooper cemetery near Chloe.

COTTRELL, HANCLE J.

Hancle Junior Cottrell, 55, of Spencer, died Jan. 2, 1996, at the Charleston Area Medical Center's General Division, after an extended illness. He was born in Beech, Calhoun County, a son of the late Roscoe Thurman and Nellie Marie Finchman Cottrell. He was a laborer. Surviving are one son, Larry Dean Cottrell of Staats Mill; two daughters, Loretta Kay Welch of Gandeeville and Brenda Fauber of Looneyville; five brothers, Claudie Cottrell of Elyria, Ohio, Arlie Cottrell, Spencer Cottrell and Holly Cottrell, all of Spencer, and Lenard Cottrell of Looneyville; five sisters, Nickie Cottrell of Cleveland, Rosalee Goodrich and Frances Anderson, both of Spencer, Helen Moss of Bedford, Ohio, and Mary Lou Clemons of Normantown; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Cottrell and Pat Cottrell; and two sister, Louise Toth and Gafle Cottrell. Services were held at Sinnett-Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Leon Strickland officiating. Burial was in Orma cemetery, Orma.

COTTRELL, WILLIAM R.

William Ray Cottrell, 79, of Spencer, died Friday, Aug. 9, 1996, at Roane General Hospital. He was born in Oka, a son of the late William H. "Willie" and Cora Angus Truman Cottrell. He was a retired mechanic for W.Va. Dept. of Highways. He was formerly employed by several Spencer area auto dealerships. He was a member of Minnora Lodge No. 246 IOOF. Surviving are his wife, Orpha Brannon Cottrell; one son, Kenneth L. Cottrell of Spencer; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Services were held at Sinnett-Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Leon Strickland officiating. Burial was in Clover cemetery, Spencer.

CRAFT, FLOYD O.

Floyd Okey Craft, 57, of Orma, died Wednesday, Mar. 27, 1996, at Roane General Hospital. He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Alonzo Edward and Iva Bell Hackney Craft. He was a former employee of Kanawha County Courthouse and West Virginia Dept. of Highways. Surviving are four sons, Conney White, Kenna Larch and Arnold Craft, all of Spencer, and Russell Craft of Left Hand; six daughters, Linda Williams of St. Marys, Potenia Carpenter of Spencer, Debra Blackwell of Louisa, Ken., Macel Given of Amma, Paul Craft of Strasburg, Va., and Deloris Haynes of Spencer; one sister, Lessie Atwell of Troy, Ala.; and 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Melvin F. Craft; and three sisters, Sylvia Craft, Ruby Harper and Clara Stanley. Services were held at Sinnett-Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah cemetery, Walton.

CURRAN, IRENE M.

Irene M. Curran, 74, of Walker, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 1996, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Samuel and Iva Pearl Bell Moore. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal. Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Paul E. Curran; three sons, Jack Moore of Parkersburg, Oliver Bell and David Bell, both of Walker; five daughters, Ruby Clegg and Ruth Ann Bell, both of Parkersburg, Frances Weldon of Cutler, Nancy L. Doone of Interlachen, Fla., and Patty Ellis of Warner Robins, Ga.; three brothers, Harley Moore, Carl R. Moore and Samuel Moore, Jr., all of Parkersburg; one sister, Catherine Huffman of Parkersburg; 38 grandchildren; 86 great- grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Esther Lemley. Services were held at Franklin Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. David Adams officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery, Walker.

CURRY, CHARLES

Charles Curry, 70, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1995, at his residence. He was born in Tanner, a son of the late Charles Alexander and Sarah Ellen Kelly Curry. He was retired from the U.S. Army, and served in both Korea and Vietnam. He was an oil field worker, and was a member of Temple of God, near Pullman. Surviving are his wife, Bernice Louise Mitchell Greenleaf Curry; one stepdaughter, Sandra Crowe of Georgia; two stepsons; two brothers, Harry Curry of Mt. Zion and Neely Curry of Tanner; two sisters, Ida Calhoun of White Pine and Virginia Eleanor McCartney of Parkersburg; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters; and two half- sisters. Services were held at Temple of God, with Rev. Kemper Workman and Lawrence Pridemore officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove cemetery, Berea.

DANIEL, GERALD T.

Rev. Gerald T. Daniel, 69, of Cowen, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 1996, in a Summersville hospital. He was born in Saxon, a son of the late Ash and Sylvia Daniel. He was a 1944 graduate of Trap Hill High School, a graduate of Beckley Junior College and West Virginia Wesleyan College, and received a degree in theology from Duke University. He started his ministry in 1952 in Selbyville, and served in many churches in the West Virginia United Methodist Conference for 39 years prior to his retirement in 1991 at United Methodist Church, Newell. He was a member of Cowen Lions Club, Camden-on-Gauley Chapter 161 Order of Eastern Star, Camden Masonic Lodge 107 AF&AM, and West Milford Odd Fellows Lodge. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Rev. Clarice J. Milam Daniel; one daughter, Teresa Ritchie of Big Springs; four sons, Randy Daniel of Charleston, Phillip Daniel of Byesville, Ohio, Gregory Daniel of Bridgeport and Gerald "Tim" Daniel of Milton, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Velma Daniel of Glen Daniel; and one brother, Rev. Denzil Daniel of Fredericksburg, Va. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Services were scheduled Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Melton Mor-tuary Chapel, Beckley, with Revs. Sue Jarrett and Phil Hickman officiating, and burial in Calfee cemetery, Mount Tabor, with Masonic rites by Beckley Masonic Lodge 95, AF&AM.

WILMA D. DENNISON

Wilma D. Cowan Dennison, 67, of Elyria, Ohio, died Saturday, July 20, 1996, at her daughter's residence, Elyria. She was born in Grantsville, a daughter of the late Marma Duke Cowan and Ivy Myrtle Stull Cowan. She, attended Elyria Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Howard Dennison; three daughters, Sharon Spieker of South Amherst, Karen Sweene of Elyria and Debra Acevedo of Lorain; one son, Harold L. Dennison of Elyria; one brother, James Cowan of Washington; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Services were scheduled Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Reichlin-Roberts Funeral Home, Elyria, with Pastor Jim Gordon officiating, and burial in Ridgehill cemetery, Amherst Township.

GEORGE E. DEULEY

George E. Deuley, 84, of Stillwell Road, Walker, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 1996, at his residence. He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Curtis and Stella Yeager Deuley. He had been employed by American Viscose for 33 years, and was a member of Cedar Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Della Richards Deuley; three sons, Willard E. Deuley, D. Dale Deuley and Bobby G. Deuley, all of Walker; one brother, Luther Deuley of Parkersburg; four sisters, Lettie Wilson of Five Forks, Tressie Buskirk of Belpre, Oleta Tallhammer of Beatrice, and Blondina Richards of Mt. Zion; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son; two daughters; one granddaughter; two brothers, Russell Deuley and Everett Deuley; and one sister, Freda Yeager. Services were held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Dave Morgan officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens.

DILLEY, EVERETT

Everett W. Dilley, 41, of Hartville, Ohio, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 1995. He was born in Akron, Ohio, a son of Georgia Wolfe Dilley of Leatherbark and the late Harry Dilley. He was a 1974 graduate of Calhoun County High School. He was an oilfield worker and moved to Hartville with his family three years ago from West Virginia. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Kay Sampson Dilley; one son, Jonathan Dilley of Hartville; one daughter, Jessica M. Dilley of Ravenswood; one brother, Edwin Dilley of Leatherbark; two sisters, Rosalie Mace of Leatherbark and Mandy Deel of Hartville; and stepgrandmother, Geneva Wolfe of Morgantown. Graveside services were held at Eventide cemetery, Spencer. Arrangements were handled by Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville.

DONAHUE, IRA HAROLD

Ira Harold Donahue, 59, of Davey, Fla., died Monday, Mar. 18, 1996, at Miami Veterans Hospital, Miami, Fla. He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Ira D. and Alveretta Harris Donahue. Surviving are his wife, Shelby Donahue; one son, Donnie Donahue of Hollywood, Fla.; two daughters, Missy Donahue and Teresa Donahue, both of Cleveland; three stepchildren; two sisters, Elma Z. Blouir of St. Marys and Charlotte Donahue of Italy, Tex.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Donahue and Ronzal Donahue. The body was cremated.

DYE, HAROLD G.

Harold G. Dye, 88, of Big Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Freed, a son of the late Judson D. and Icy Smith Dye. He was a 1930 graduate of Mountain State Business College, Parkersburg. He was a poultry farmer, and retired as a potter from Homer Laughlin China Co., Newell, after 11 years of service. He was an honorary member of GPPAW Union and Inter-national Brotherhood of Potters and Allied Workers. He was a former president of Smithville Senior Citizens and was a member of Millstone Church of Christ. Surviving are three sons, Donnie Dye of Jamestown, Pa., Donald Dye of Brohard and Keith Dye of Big Springs; two daughters, Maryland Ingram of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Ruth Ellen Bell of Big Springs; one brother, Hazel Dye of Brohard; three sisters, Lillian Mannien of Fair Port Harbor, Ohio, Fern Gaidoes of Clarksburg and Mary Gayfor of Florida; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Estie Greathouse Dye; one son, Dennis Dye; one infant son; two brothers, Arnie Dye and Johnnie Dye; and one sister, Mildred Deavers. Services were held Saturday at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Burial was in Ayers cemetery, Smithville.
