Clarence Fetty, 89, of Murraysville, died Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born in Richardson, the son of the late Charles and Stella Richards Fetty. He was retired from Hope Natural Gas Co. with 40 years of service. He was a wood craftsman, welder and machinist, and was a member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Pat Fetty of Sweet Springs and Charles Fetty of West Union; two daughters, Judy Little of Keyser and Rebecca McKown of Murraysville; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Phillips Fetty; three brothers, Jess, Virgil and Billy Fetty; and two sisters, Opal Berkhouse and Velma Fetty. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Kenny Welch and Rev. Lloyd Keith officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem cemetery, near Grantsville.

Mildred S. Fisher, 93, of Jane Lew, died Friday, May 28, 1999, in Jane Lew. She was born in Big Bend, the daughter of the late Brady and Sallie DePue Sheets. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #90, Glenville. Surviving are one step-son, Leo Fisher of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; two step-daughters, Helen Legg of Martinsburg and Eileen Nixon of Montecello, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Bradford Fisher. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Burial was in Pisgah Methodist Church cemetery, Glenville.

Letha D. Fleming, 80, of Smithville, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Racket, a daughter of the late Harry E. and Flossie Day Smarr Mathers. Surviving are one son, Cleo Fleming of Mineral Wells; three daughters, Jean Valentine of Lakewood, Fla., Deanna Mossor of Ellenboro and Joyce Minor of Tanner; one brother, Herman Mathers of Middlebourne; four sisters, Beulah Schwartz of Wash-ington, D.C., Aileen Cunningham of Grantsville, Clara Richards of Brecksville, Ohio, and Carol Jones of Mountain; 13 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and her companion, Tracy Riddle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi C. Fleming; one son, Bud Fleming; and one brother, Forest Mathers. Services were held at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Burial was in New Mount Olive cemetery, Newberne.
FOUTY, FRANKIE JANE
Frankie Jane Fouty, 36, of Spencer, died Saturday, Apr. 3, 1999, at home after an extended illness. She was born in Spencer, the daughter of Reva Nelson Snodgrass of Spencer and the late Oris Franklin Snodgrass. She was a registered nurse, a certified emergency nurse, a paramedic with Calhoun County EMS, and a public service trainer with Wood County and Kanawha County boards of education. She had worked at Roane General Hospital for 13 years, and also worked at CAMC General Division, Charleston, and Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. She was first runner-up for Nurse of the Year for 1998 and was class president while attending Hocking College, Nelsonville, Ohio. She was a member of Reedy Volunteer Fire Dept., part-time paramedic with Jackson County EMS, and a member of Epling Chapel Baptist Church, Looneyville. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Tim Fouty; one daughter, Breanna Fouty at home; one son, Michael Zachary Wine of Spencer; two half-sisters, Patsy Shannon and Peggy Kelly, both of Melbourne, Fla.; and two half-brothers, Ed Asbury of Gallant, Ala., and Coy Snodgrass of Cottageville. She was preceded in death by a half-brother, Bill Snodgrass. Services were held at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Michael F. King officiating. Burial was in Clover cemetery, Clover.

Lona Wright Fox, 91, of Parkersburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late James and Malverin Poling Cain. She was a homemaker and a member of Jefferson Baptist Temple. Surviving are two daughters, Betty Davis of Davisville and Eldean McDonald of Parkersburg; three sons, Elbert W. "Bill" Wright of Parkersburg, Alfred Wright of Davisville and Robert Wright of Parkersburg; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Wright; her second husband, Ernest Fox; one daughter, Delores Mitchell; two sons, Kenneth and James H. Wright; three sisters, Mary Whitt, Cellestia Cunningham and Sylvia Bowers; and two half-sisters, Marjorie Musgrave and Loraine Lark. Services were held at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Harley Bailey officiating. Burial was in Sand Ridge cemetery, Arnoldsburg.

Orpha Fox, 74, of Arnoldsburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg. She was born in Roane County, the daughter of the late William Elliott and Ica Ferrell Nichols. She was retired from Calhoun County Board of Education and was a member of Arnoldsburg Community Church. Surviving are her husband, Warren Fox; two daughters, Kay Garrett of Arnoldsburg and Leona Chandler of Fayetteville, N.C.; one son, Stephen Fox of New Martinsville; three sisters, Golden Kincaid of Waterford, Ohio, and Mary Haverty and Betty Alvis, both of Spencer; one brother, Murl Nichols of Waterford; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven step-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Hazel McKown, Faye McCully Johns and Tressie Ball; seven brothers, Bob, Herb, Oval, Ben, Raymond "Short, " Clay "Jack" and Fred Nichols; and one grandchild, Eric Fox. Graveside services were held at Otto cemetery, near Spencer, with Rev. Austin White officiating. There was no visitation.

Reta D. Haught Fox, 97, of Cleveland, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at Royal Oak Nursing Home, Middleburg Heights, Ohio. She was born in Freed, the daughter of the late Elmer and Rachel Dotson Haught. She was one of 16 children. She was retired from Lempson Sessions, Cleveland, as an inspector and was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, Cleveland. Surviving are two daughters, Sibyl Rucker of Cleveland and Joyce Reese of Fayette. Ala.; three granddaughters; and seven great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Jennings Fox, Jr. Services were held at Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. William Snider officiating. Burial was in Hartley cemetery, Brohard.

Ruth Frederick Fox, 85, of Smithville, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg. She was born in Sugar Camp, the eldest daughter of the late Joseph Belden and Nancy Richards Frederick. She was a genealogist and a poet. She became a member of Belpre Heights EUB Church in the 1940's and attended Smithville United Methodist Church for 30 years where she served as a Sunday School and bible school teacher. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Elizabeth Buell Tent #19, Marietta, Ohio. Surviving are one daughter, Lois Carol Fox of Belpre, Ohio; three sons, John Bruce Fox of Elmira, N.Y., Keith Michael Fox of Garfield Heights, Ohio, and Rudy Frederick Fox of Wellington, Ohio; one step- daughter, Joann Johns of Orrville, Ohio; one sister, Opal Connolly of Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren; and numerous step- grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, John B. Fox in 1984; two brothers, James L. Frederick of Jacksonville, Ark., and Alfred M. Frederick of Big Springs; five siblings who died in infancy; two step-daughters, Bernice Goodnight of Davis-ville and Jeanice Lee of Barberton, Ohio; one step-granddaughter, Julie Gumm; and one step-great-grandson, Brian Goodnight. Services were held at Smithville U.M. Church with Rev. Bill Morrison and Rev. James Riggs officiating. Burial was in Fluharty cemetery, Leading Creek Road, near Big Springs.

Warren Fox, 77, of Arnoldsburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at Eldercare of Ripley. He was born in Roane County, the son of the late Ralph and Clora Mae Prines Fox. He owned and operated Fox's Grocery, Arnoldsburg, and was a farmer. He was a member of Arnoldsburg Community Church. Surviving are two daughters, Kay Garrett of Arnoldsburg and Leona Chandler of Fayetteville, N.C.; one son, Stephen Fox of New Martinsville; three sisters, Ada McHenry and Beulah Hughes, both of Spencer, and Rosa Lee Ash of Barberton, Ohio; four brothers, Charles Fox of Parkersburg, Morris Fox of Barberton, Roy Clarence Fox of Spencer and Orlis Fox of Ripley; seven grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven step-great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Orpha Nichols Fox, on Feb. 3, 1999; one grandchild, Eric Fox; and one sister, Virginia Hunt. Graveside service was held at Otto cemetery, near Spencer, with Rev. Austin White officiating.

Darren Lee Frederick, 35, of Cox's Mills, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, at Veteran's Administration Hospital, Clarksburg. He was born in Grantsville, the son of Sarah Virginia Hath-away Frederick of Cox's Mills and Denzil H. Frederick of Volga. Surviving in addition to his parents are one brother, Dana Frederick of Walkersville; one sister, Dian Bush of Cox's Mills; two nieces; his paternal grandmother, Virgie Frederick of Big Springs; and a godson, Karibee Steele of Alum Bridge. He was born in Ritchie County, the son of the late Jacob Bailess and Mary Eva Rexroad Frederick. He was retired from Fisher Body Co., Euclid, Ohio, and was a member of Willoughby Baptist Church, Willoughby, Ohio. Surviving are one son, Charles N. Frederick of Mentor, Ohio; one sister, Minnie Malona of Mineral Wells; and two grandsons. Services were scheduled Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev.
