KIMBLE, WILLIAM O.

William O. Kimble, 93, of Thomasville, Ga., died Saturday, Sept. 28, 1995, in Thomasville, after an extended illness. He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Albert C. and Rosa Jane Kelley Kimble. He was retired from O. Ames Co., Parkersburg, with 25 years of service. He was a former resident of Parkersburg for 45 years and resided in Orlando, Fla., for six years. Surviving are one son, William Fredrick Kimble of Thomasville; one daughter, Rose Ella Moore of Mason, Ohio; one brother, John Kimble of Stumptown; three sisters, Charlotte Vanhorn of Parkersburg, Lona Pope and Lora Vaughan, both of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hettie Carpenter Kimble; two brothers, Joy Kimble and Delbert Kimble; and two sisters, Leatha Wright and Lennie Wright. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Jerry Bush officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem cemetery.

KING, MARY E.

Mary E. King, 94, of Shock, died Wednesday, Mar. 15, 1995, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late John W. and Emily Lowers Parsons. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Surviving are one daughter, Iva Sampson of Grantsville; three sons, Harper King of Shock, Delbert King of Nicut and Elmer King of Big Bend; four half-sisters, Amanda Sims and Alice Parsons, both of Parkersburg, Roxie Cain of Sayersville, Ohio, and Dola Nicholas of Orma; 27 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 25 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight King, in 1977; and one son, Junior Bill King, in 1985. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Burial was in Orma United Methodist Church cemetery, Orma.

KIRBY, RANDALL G.

Randall G. Kirby, 32, of Big Springs, died Friday, Jan. 20, 1995, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Barberton, Ohio, a son of Dennis W. and Anna M. Gillespie Kirby of Big Springs. Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Mike Kirby of Grantsville and Roger Kirby of Reedy. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Gary Richmond and Rev. Steve Richards officiating. Burial was in Fluharty cemetery, Big Springs.

KNICELY, ONA M.

Ona M. Knicely, 79, of Spencer, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1995, at Roane General Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Jink and Corda Goff McCumbers. She was a homemaker and attended Arnoldsburg Community Church. Surviving are five daughters, Virgie Fisher and Darlene Starcher, both of Spencer, Belva Nicholas of Warren, Ohio, Jean Hall of Orma and Wavalene McCoy of Nicut; one step-daughter, Delores Summers of Warren; four sons, Noah L. Knicely of Spencer, James Knicely and William Knicely, both of Nicut, and Larry Knicely of Springsboro, Pa.; four sisters, Mabel VanBuren of Rosedale, Elma Doolittle of Arnoldsburg, Della Goodrich of Stumptown and Beulah McCumbers of Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Elmer McCumbers of Mt. Zion; 60 grandchildren; and 62 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Knicely; and three daughters. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Burial was in Knicely cemetery, Servia, Braxton County.

KNIGHT, HARRY J.

Harry J. Knight, 86, of Burnsville, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 1995, at Charleston Area Medical Center, after a long illness. He was born at Gilmer Station, son of the late Russell and Dora King Knight. He was a retired stockman and farmer, World War II Army veteran, and a member of Stouts Chapel United Methodist Church, Hyers Run, and Burnsville Masonic Lodge 87. Surviving are his wife, Edith Cogar Knight; one step-daughter, Karen Morrison of Sutton; five sisters, Madelyn Hathaway of Vienna, Margaret Cunningham of Grantsville, Martha Britton of Weston, and Mamie Beall and Myrtle Powell, both of Canton, Ohio; two brothers, Lewis Knight of Baltimore, Md., and Hurcle Knight of Vienna; and one step-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Services were held at Stouts Chapel U.M. Church, with Rev. William E. Griffin and Rev. David Hamrick officiating. Burial was in Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens, Heaters.

LAW, ROBERT G.

Robert G. Law, 72, of Langtown Road, Bridgeport, died Thursday, Mar. 30, 1995, at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg. He was born in Grantsville, a son of the late Robert and Lettie Wilson Law. He was retried from the transportation department at Consolidated Natural Gas Corporation and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Pacific during World War II. He was a member of Bridgeport Baptist Church; Late Lodge 63, AF&AM; Clarksburg Lodge of Perfection; Knights of Rose Croix; and Valley of Wheeling, Scottish Rite Bodies. Surviving are his wife, Betty J. Gunn Law; two daughters, Victoria Seders of Bridgeport and Robin Gail Compton of Farmington, N.M.; one sister, June Law of Columbus; and four grandsons. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Holly Law and Russell Law; and two sisters, Jessie Beckham and Elodene Savanich. Services were held at Allen Funeral Home, Bridgeport, with Rev. John T. Fraser and Rev. Thomas P. Home officiating. Burial was in Bridgeport cemetery.

LINDAMOOD, LAURA

Laura Cooper Echard Lindamood, 94, of Worthington Manor Care Center, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 1995, at the center. She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late William and Sarah Dotson Cooper. She was retired from Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Rosemar Church of Christ and Esther Rebekahs. Surviving are one son, Gilbert W. Echard of Red Hill; two stepsons, Kenneth Lindamood of Morgantown and Charles Lindamood of Vienna; one stepdaughter, Ione Knapp of Parkersburg; 11 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles W. Echard, in 1953; her second husband, Charles H. Lindamood, in 1978; two sons, Kenneth Echard and Ernest Echard; one daughter, Twila Phillips; two stepdaughters, Kathryn Sams and Alice Paxton; four brothers; and three sisters. Services were held at Ogdin-Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial was in Log Church cemetery, Ritchie County.

LAW, ROBERT G.

Robert G. Law, 72, of Bridgeport, died Thursday, Mar. 30, 1995, at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg. He was born at Big Bend, a son of the late Robert and Lettie Wilson Law. He was retired from Consolidated Natural Gas Corp. He was a member of Bridgeport Baptist Church and several lodges. He attended Calhoun County High School and played on the football team, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Betty J. Gunn Law; two daughters, Victoria Seders of Bridgeport and Robin Compton of Farmington, N.M.; one sister, June law of Columbus, Ohio; and four grandsons, Michael and Robert Seders and Tyler and Nathan Compton. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Holly and Russell Law; and two sisters, Jessie Becklom and Elodean Sovanich. Services were held at Allen Funeral Home, Bridgeport. Burial was in Bridgeport cemetery.

LOWE, NELLIE B.

Nellie B. Lowe, 77, of Elizabeth, died Sunday, May 7, 1995, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, after an extended illness. She was born in Clay County, a daughter of Lanty P. Mollohan of Parkersburg, and the late Maud Rogers Mollohan. She was a former employee of Rubber Crafters and served as an aide at Calhoun General Hospital for several years. She enjoyed sewing and raising flowers and was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her father are one son, Scott Lowe of Parkersburg; two daughters, Sue Farnsworth of Burning Springs and William Jean Moore of Cleveland; one brother, Arnold Mollohan of Elizabeth; four sisters, Mable Justice of Reedy, Hallie Cunningham of Burning Springs, Ruth Kun and Bonnie Worstell, both of Marietta; one uncle, Charles Rogers of Delaware; 13 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two sons, Garland Dale Lowe, in 1939, and James "Pete" Lowe, in 1988; two brothers, Anis Mollohan and John Lynn Mollohan; two sisters, Gertrude Stout and Frances "Birdie" Mollohan; and one grandson. Services were scheduled Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Busch Funeral Home, Elizabeth, with Rev. Michael Lamb officiating, and burial in Hardman cemetery, Nebo.

LOWTHER, REV. DWIGHT

Rev. Dwight Lowther, 87, of Claremont, N.C., died Sunday, Aug. 20, 1995, in a Dunbar personal care home after a short illness. He was born at Lawford, W.Va., and was an ordained American Baptist minister. He served as pastor of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Kanawha City, and also pastored churches in Pratt, Cowen, Craigsville, and Grantsville. He was manager of West Virginia Baptist Camp, Cowen, for 12 years. He was a founding member of Trinity Baptist Church, Newton, N.C., and was retired from Newton YMCA. Surviving are a son, Dwight Kay of South Charleston; a daughter, Patricia Rice of Newton, N.C.; sister, Wanema Nuttall of Boise, Idaho; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret. Memorial services and visitations will be at Trinity Baptist Church, Newton, N.C., on Sunday, Aug. 27, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Brant Hoots and Dwight K. Lowther officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 4, Newton, NC 28658.

LYONS, CHARLES M.

Charles Michael Lyons, 22, of Glenville, died Friday, Mar. 3, 1995, in Glenville of an apparent self-inflected gunshot wound. He was born in Calhoun County, a son of Nina Lyons Wilfong of Glenville and David L. Lyons of Burnsville. He was a graduate of Gilmer County High School where he was a member of the school choir. He was a student at Glenville State College and was an artist. He was an Eagle Scout and former assistant scout master of Glenville Troop 79. He attended Ellis Grove United Methodist Church near Glenville and was active in the Sand Fork Baptist Church Youth Fellowship. Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, David M. Lyons of Sand Fork and Nathaniel Lyons of Linn; three step-sisters, Michelle Wilfong of Hinton, Joanie Wilfong and Stephanie Wilfong, both of Burnsville; a step-brother, J. D. Wilfong of Weston; step- father, John Wilfing of Glenville; and maternal grandmother, Losie Carter of Nicut. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with Rev. Wilson M. Murphy officiating. Burial was in Hardway cemetery, Elmira, Braxton County.

LYONS, ETTA BELL

Etta Bell Lyons, 85, of Ravenswood, died Saturday, July 1, 1995, at Ravenswood Village. She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Amos and Minnie Lance Burnside. She was a member of Bergoo Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Robert Lyons of Linden, N.C., Richard Lyons of Ravenswood and William Lyons of Williamstown; five daughters, Virginia Asbury, Joy Wolfe, Peggy Lyke and Mary Kay Staats, all of Ravenswood, and Shirley Miller of Charlotte, N.C.; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Moore and Alva McGlothlin, both of Heartland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Staveley Lyons; and five brothers. Services were held at Straight-Tucker & Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Rev. Gene Waybright officiating. Burial was in Ravenswood cemetery.

MACE, DARLIE R.

Darlie R. Mace, 69, of Arnoldsburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1995, at Roane General Hospital. She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late John P. and Letha Mary James Mace. She was a former employee of Spencer State Hospital. Surviving are three sisters, Edna Bower of Spencer, Mildred Nicholson and Maude Smith, both of Belpre; one half-sister, Audra Midcap of Speed; two brothers, Darrell Mace of Spencer and Junior F. Mace of Massillon, Ohio; one half-brother, Eugene Nutter of Speed; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with Rev. Glendon McKee officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery, near Arnoldsburg.

MALONA, JAMES B.

James B. Malona, 82, of Mineral Wells, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 1995, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, after a three-month illness. He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Charles E. and Linna Dell Norman Malona. He retired from DuPont with 28-1/2 years service as a maintenance insulator. He was a Protestant. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mildred "Minnie" Frederick Malona; one son James Warren Malona of Mineral Wells; two daughters, Barbara V. Roberts of Woodland Hills Calif., and Karen J. Alderigi of Gallipolis, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Maloney of Vienna; and five sisters, Olive Francis and Naomi Champ, both of Akron, Ohio, Frances Clements of Florida, and Emogene Knight and Regena Ellyson, both of Parkersburg. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Owen Malona and Patrick Malona; and one sister, Blanche McWilliams. Services were held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Bill Angel officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg.
