Ivan Leo Cain, Jr., 37, of Parkersburg, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 1994 at his residence. He was born in Pine Grove, a son of Ivan Leo Cain, Sr., of Parkersburg and Mona Holcomb Elder of New Martinsville. He was a Baptist. Surviving in addition to his parents are three brothers, David Cain and Thomas "Junior" McDonald, both of Parkersburg, and Wayne Cain of New Martinsville; three sisters, Teresa Six of Cairo, Brenda Riffle of St. Marys and Karen Collins of Big Springs; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Twila Cain. Services were held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, with Robert Washington officiating. Burial was in Corbin cemetery.

Ollie R. Cain, 83, of Grantsville, died Monday, Dec. 20, 1993, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, after an extended illness. He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late George and Clara Stump Cain. He was retired from Singer Sheet Metal Co. of Parkersburg and also was a retired farmer. He attended Victory Baptist Church of Grantsville. Surviving are his wife, Eris Greathouse Cain; three daughters, Gertrude Bunner of Brohard, Earlene Tony of Munday and Patricia Groves of Parkersburg; one son, Johnny Cain of Mineral Wells; one sister, Zella Cain of Arnoldsburg; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Cain; four grandchildren; two brothers; and 10 sisters. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Burial was in Hur cemetery, Mt. Zion.

Curtis H. "Curt" Chenoweth, 82, of Inverness, Fla., formerly of Bartlett, Ohio, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 1994. He was born in Orma, a son of the late Joseph W. and Emma Ruth Hanger Chenoweth. He was a retired farmer and had worked as a school bus driver and mail carrier. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Inverness. Surviving are his wife, Lillian Arlene Wood Chenoweth; one son, Gary Curtis Chenoweth of Lexington, Va.; four daughters, Arlene Ruth Gilliland of Alaska, Marie Wigal of Florida, Rita Jean Brooks of Athens, Ohio, and Sandra Kay Kelly of Lexington, N.C.; two brothers, Gordon G. Chenoweth of St. Albans and Charles F. Chenoweth of Spencer; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Services were held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Ernest D. Collins, 72, of Parkersburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1994, due to injuries received in an automobile accident on Rt. 47 in front of West Virginia University at Parkersburg. He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Alley G. and Pearl Holbert Collins. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 3947th Quartermaster Trucking Co. in Rhineland, Central Europe, Africa and, the Middle East. He was a 30-year resident of Parkersburg, and a member of Laborers Local 1085. Surviving are four sons, Ernie Lee Collins of Big Springs, Ernest Dale Collins, Jr., Edward W. Collins, and Michael Collins, all of Parkersburg; two daughters, Kimberly Denise Freeland and Crystal Gayle Stevens, both of Parkersburg; one stepson, Genie Freed of Cleveland, one sister, Oleta Cunningham of Harrisville; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Collins; one sister; two brothers; and one granddaughter. Services were held at Hoy Chapel United Methodist Church, Big Springs. Burial was in Saunders cemetery, Big Springs.

Mary Mae Connolly, 74, of Parkersburg, died Wednesday, July 20, 1994, at The Willows Nursing Home, Parkersburg. She was born in Grantsville, a daughter of the late Dennis Cronnin and Roxie Bauer Cronnin. She was employed by Diamond Department Store, and was a former clerk for Congressman Alan Mollohan. Surviving are one daughter, Madonna Schoonover of Marietta; two sons, Alan Connolly of Parkersburg and Dennis Connolly of Hockingport; and three granddaughters, Holly Connolly of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ali Connolly of Parkersburg, and Maria Schoonover of Marietta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail Leroy Connolly; and one brother. Services were held at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Edna Cooper, 90, of Spencer, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 1994, at Roane General Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Arnoldsburg, a daughter of the late Joseph Edwin Sr. and Lida Evelyn Kirby Starcher. She was a homemaker. She was a Methodist and a charter member of Reedyville Homemakers Club, Spencer. Surviving are one son, Edwin Cooper of Cardington, Ohio; three grandchildren; Kenneth Lee Cooper of Columbus, Roy Edwin Cooper and Susan Dawn Cooper, both of Cardington; and five great-grandchildren. Minnie Cooper, 71, of Canton, Ohio, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 1994, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Grantsville, daughter of the late William and Lula Adams Slider. She lived most of her life in the Canton Area and retired from Bowman Pharmaceutical Co. in 1986 and was a former employee of Mills Motel. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Ralph E. Cooper, 78, of Canton, Ohio, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1994, at Massillon Community Hospital, Ohio, following a brief illness. He was born in Fairmont, a son of the late Delbert and Bessie Nichols Cooper. He lived the greater portion of his life in the Canton area and was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U. S. Army. William O. Cooper, 84, of Elizabeth, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1994, at Americare Health Care Center, Dunbar, after an extended illness. He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Zanis O. and Maude Burrows Cooper. He was retired from Mountain State Steel and was a former nightwatchman at Ravens Metal Products of Elizabeth. He was a member of Wirt County Farm Bureau for many years. He was a longtime member of Elizabeth Church of Christ and a lifelong resident of Wirt County. Surviving are three daughters, Martha Lee Seckel and Helen L. Dennison, both of Bucyrus, Ohio, and Lucille Fierbaugh of Dunbar; two brothers, Jesse Cooper of Charleston and Wilbur Cooper of Vienna; two sisters, Dorcas Smith of Vienna and Mary Vaught of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Elizabeth Davis Cooper, in 1990; two brothers, Loria Cooper and Everett Cooper; one sister Flora Pearson; and two grandsons, Robert William Seckel and Gary Lee Fierbaugh. Elladene Poling Copen, 68, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Sunday, Jan. 16, 1994, after a long illness. She was the daughter of Erma C. Poling of Barberton, Ohio, and the late Waitman C. Poling. She lived 38 years in Phoenix and attended Congregational, United Church of Christ. Alice Emma Covill, 75, of Branblewood Village, Grantsville, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 1994, at Charleston Area Medical Center's Memorial Division after an extended illness. She was born in Long Island, N.Y., and was a former teacher for eight years in Pinellas County, Fla., school system. She was a member of Long Island Chapter of Order of Eastern Star and Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Surviving are one son, Donald Covill of Glenville; one sister, Helen Hays of Flushing, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Marvin B. Crawford, 88, of Brookhaven, died Tuesday, June 28, 1994, at Sundale Nursing Care. He was born July 28, 1905, in Grantsville, a son of the late Stephen Leslie and Hattie Poling Crawford. He had been a long time member of Rush Run Baptist Church. He was a glass cutter for Mississippi Glass Co., Morgantown, and Pressed Prism Plate Glass Co., Sabraton. He worked in Ohio and retired from Weather Tight Glass Co. in 1974. He was a member of Teamsters Union. He is survived by a son, Virgil L. Crawford of Youngstown, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Fredrick (Betty) Brothers of Leland, N.C., and Mr. Robert (Anna Belle) De Antonio of Morgantown; two brothers, Veon and Harold Crawford, both of Parkersburg; three sisters, Merle Huber and Juanita Cheuvront, both of Parkersburg, and Evadeen Sellers of Kennewick, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Merle Bailey Crawford, April 10, 1990; a daughter, Lucille Grace DeMoss; two brothers; and one sister. Services will be held at Hastings Funeral Home on Friday at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Nicholson Chapel cemetery.
