Nancy Naillon Hardy, 52, of Squire, WV, died Dec. 2, 2005 at Tazewell Community Hospital.
Born May 25, 1953 in Tazewell County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Stacy Sutton Naillon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Kate Carroll, and one brother, Sam Naillon.
Survivors: husband, Ronald R. Hardy; sons, John Hardy and wife, Misty, of Roanoke, Danny Jason Hardy of Christiansburg; daughter, Rhonda McReynolds of Mineral; grandchildren, Kane McReynolds of the home, Emily and Kerri Hardy of Roanoke; sisters, Sue Pinter of Bradenton, FL, Ruth Bobbitt of Woodlawn, Edna Cummings of Fayetteville, NC; and brothers, Milburn Naillon of Oklahoma City, OK, Benjamin Naillon of Trenton, MI, and Edward Naillon of Ecorsc, MI.
The funeral was conducted Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with the Rev. Arey Bandy officiating.
Burial followed at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.
Fern Lynn Harrison
Fern Lynn Harrison, 32, of Tazewell, VA, died Nov. 27, 2005 at Tazewell Community Hospital.
Born Jan. 20, 1973 in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of Fern Harrison Jr. and Linda Webb Harrison of Elliston.
He was a member of the New Life Church of Mt. Airy, NC.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Fern Harrison, Sr.; paternal great grandparents, Eli and Barbara Rose; and maternal great grandparents, Perry and Sophia Asbury.

Michael W. Johnson
Michael W. Johnson, 52, of Oak Harbor, OH, formerly of Tazewell, went home to be with God Nov. 21, 2005 at Laurens, SC.
Born Feb. 14, 1953 at Welch, WV, he was a son of Jack and Shirley Bandy Johnson of Laurens.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Johnson, and his grandparents, Claude and Lillian Bandy and Lonnie and Hattie Johnson.

Ruby Joyce
Ruby Joyce, 69, of Cedar Bluff, VA, died Nov. 27, 2005 in a Richlands hospital.
Born Jan. 22, 1936 in Squire, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Martha Jane Russ Street.
She was a nurse at River Bend Healthcare Center in Ft. Wayne, IN for 22 years. She was a member of the Chapel of Love Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Royce Kim Joyce; two brothers, Freddy Charles and Earnest Charles; and two sisters, Stella Keen and Edna Mallory.
Survivors: husband of 50 years, Doyle Joyce, Jr.; sons, Keith Joyce and wife, Dolly, of Hallerster, FL, Kirk Joyce of Richlands, Kris Joyce and wife, Frances, of Ft. Wayne, Johnathan Hamilton of Cedar Bluff; daughter, Samantha Joyce of Cedar Bluff; sisters, Betty Singleton of Florida, Hester Harnish and husband, Galin, of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren, Kyle, Brandon, Ashley, Josh, Jermi, Jamie and Karen; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff with Rev. Roger Lester officiating.
Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill.
Barbara Anne Allen
Barbara Anne Allen, 62, of North Tazewell, VA, died Nov. 19, 2005 at a Tazewell hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born at McDowell County, WV and was the daughter of the late Sam and Dolly Osborne Beavers.
She had made her home in North Tazewell most of her life. She was a graduate of Tazewell High School, Class of 1960. She was a loving mother, and grandmother. She had been a traveling supervisor for Shoney’s and a floral designer in Tazewell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James B. Walker.
Survivors: daughter, Tammy Sue Allen Carderelli of North Tazewell; sisters, Cassie Fields of South Rockwood, MI, Bonnie Athan of Calabash, NC; grandchildren, Samantha Brooks of Lynchburg, Amber Brooks of Ameila, Chrissy Jaynes, Bobby Lee Vandyke, and Hannah Carderelli, of the home.
A memorial service was conducted Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel of Tazewell with Rev. Kevin Seabolt and Sister Liz Fox officiating.
George Haven Banner
George Haven Banner, 83, of Falls Mills, VA, died Nov. 13, 2005 at Tazewell Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 9, 1922 in West Virginia, he was a son of the late George Thomas Banner and Maude Lafon Banner.
He was of the Methodist faith and served in WWII in the Navy (Seabees) and was a self-employed business operator.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Wayne Banner, and one sister, Ruth Banner.
Survivors: wife, Dolores A. Tabor Banner; sons, Michael Banner and wife, Deborah, of Elizabethton, TN, Thomas H. Banner of Falls Mills; daughter-in-law, Christine Banner of Wilmington, DE; brothers, Frank L. Banner and wife, Feria of Bluefield, VA, William Banner of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Mark Banner, Melissa Drewding, Bandy Ann Banner, George Haven Banner II, Michael Marie Banner and Jamie Lee Banner; and seven great grandchildren.
Services were conducted Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, VA with Rev. Raymond Klaiber officiating.
In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated.
Denise Kay White
Denise Kay White, 51, of Bandy, VA, died Nov. 15, 2005 at her home.
Born in Charleston, WV, she was a daughter of the late Jesse W. and Anna Alice Massey Waycaster, both West Virginia natives.
She was a Child Care Provider and had lived most of her life in the Bandy area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dinah Faye Wright, and one brother, Danny Dale Waycaster.
Survivors: husband, Tom White of Bandy; brothers, David Eugene Waycaster of Columbus, OH, Paul Roger Waycaster of Cleveland, OH; brother-in-law, Charles Alexander Wright of Bandy; special niece/sister, Tresia Barnett Kleineick of Cedar Bluff; great-nieces and nephews, Danielle Bandy Lester and husband, Jeff, of Raven, Timothy Bandy and Rachael Bandy, both of Cedar Bluff; great-great nephew, Ethan Alexander Lester; and many nieces and nephews who were very special and dear to her in Ohio. She had a dear Christian friend, Yorko Jones, who helped her keep her faith in God and in her heart during her illness.
The funeral was conducted Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at El Bethel Church in Baptist Valley with the Rev. Sammy Barnett officiating.

Max Buford Willard
Max Buford Willard, 69, of Oakwood, VA, died Nov. 12, 2005.
Born in Kimball, WV, he was the son of Margaret Moritz Willard of Brunswick, OH and the late Loyd Willard.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Welch High School and Concord College. He was a public accountant and was owner of Max B. Willard Accounting. He was a member of the Buchanan First Presbyterian Church. He was fire chief of the Oakwood Fire Department. He was also a member of the Oakwood Lions Club.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Willard.

Charlie W. Hankins
Charlie W. Hankins, 80, of Baptist Valley Road, North Tazewell, VA, died Nov. 3, 2005 at Tazewell Community Hospital.
Born Nov. 2, 1925 at Yukon, WV, he was a son of the late Joseph and Sarah Brooks Hankins.
He was a member of the Adria Advent Christian Church. He was a US Army veteran of World War, II serving in the 8th Calvary. He was a recipient of three Bronze Stars and a member of the Barns-Beavers VFW Post #7136 of Tazewell and the American Legion. He was a retired coal miner from Consolidation Coal Company at Bishop, with 37 years of service and a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie Mae Lambert Hankins; one daughter, Addie Louise Hankins; one sister, Shirley Bishop; and three brothers, Joe Hankins, Otis Hankins, and Jimmy Hankins.
Survivors: son, C.W. Hankins of New Braunfels, TX; daughters, Vickie Phillips and husband, Ron, of Radford, Connie Petty and husband, William, of Deland, FL, Mary “Janie” Justice and husband, James, of North Tazewell; sisters, Della Phillips, Clara Woods, and Pearl Fox, all of Ohio, Edna Patton of North Tazewell; brothers, Fred Hankins of North Carolina, Bill Hankins of Bastian, Stanley Hankins of Ohio; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Ramona Gail Lowe
Ramona Gail Lowe, 52, of Richlands, VA, died Nov. 4, 2005 in a Richlands hospital.
Born in Welch, WV, she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Lydia Lester Lankford, Sr., both Richlands natives.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She had made her home in the Richlands area most of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jamie Wayne Lowe; one step-son, James William Lowe; two sisters, Sylvia Gilbert and Connie Lankford; and one brother, Tommy Lankford.

John Edward Moore
John Edward Moore, 41, of Richlands, VA, died Nov. 5, 2005.
Born April 14, 1964 in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of Orvil V. and Cosby Hennigar Moore of West End, NC.
He was a 1982 graduate of Pinecreast High School in Pinehurst, NC.
Additional survivors: wife, Valerie Cox Moore; sons, Noah Alexander Moore and James Rages Moore, both of the home; sister, Victoria Lynn Moore of West End; nephews, Scott Moore and Michael Moore; and mother-in-law, Vivian Stiltner of Richlands.
