Denzil Kenneth Eddy
Denzil Kenneth Eddy, 91, of Route 1, Friendly, Bens Run Community, died March 23, 2001, at the Valley Haven Geriatric Center of Wellsburg, W.Va., following a brief illness.

He was born Nov. 1, 1909, at Bartlesville, Okla., a son of the late William ‘‘Bill’’ and Myrtle Northcraft Eddy. He worked for many years at the Paden City Pottery, and he and his wife operated the St. Marys High School service station in the mid-1950s.

He retired from the former Colin Anderson Center of St. Marys. He was a member of the Mt. Nebo Church of Christ and served as an elder and trustee for many years.

He is survived by one daughter, Beulah Kranske of West Liberty, W.Va.; two sons, Ronald Eddy of Paden City, and Robert Eddy of Lorain, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah Mildred Eddy in 1996; one son, Charles Allen Eddy in 1988; an infant grandson; and three sisters, Madge Toth, Wanda Wagner and Doris Wagner.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Mt. Nebo Church of Christ, Pleasants Ridge, Pleasants County, W.Va. Burial will be in the Mt. Nebo Church Cemetery. Calling hours from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Ruttencutter-Ingram Funeral Home of St. Marys, and from noon-1 p.m. Monday at the church.

Kathy Hoylman Eden
Kathy Hoylman Eden, 42, of Route 39, St. Marys, died May 26, 2001, at the residence of a friend in St. Marys.

She was born Nov. 10, 1958, in Charleston, daughter of Roy Frank and Neda Fetty Hoylman of St. Marys. She was a graduate of Perry High School, in Perry, Ohio, and had attended the St. Marys Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Ivy Zelenek of Painesville, Ohio; son, James Eden of Cleveland; two brothers, John Hoylman and his wife, Jonelle of Painesville, and Michael Hoylman and his wife, Susan of Maumelle, Ark.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Ruttencutter-Ingram Funeral Home of St. Marys, with Pastor Chuck Rogers officiating. Burial will be held in the Marmet Cemetery, in Marmet, W.Va. Calling hours will be from 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Caleb Robert Elder
Caleb Robert Elder, infant son of Rob and Sheri Elder died March 26, 2002, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by paternal grandparents, Delbert and Kathy Elder of St. Marys; maternal grandparents, David and Kathy Binegar of Newport, OH; one uncle, Jason Elder and his wife, Kendra of College Station, TX; and one uncle, Bryon Binegar of Newport.

A graveside service will be held at the family's convenience.

Edith M. Elder
Edith M. Elder, 92, of Route 2, St. Marys, died Jan. 8, 2002, at Carehaven of Pleasants of Belmont, W.Va.

She was born Dec. 15, 1909, in Pleasants County, a daughter of the late Charles and Nancy Bailey Fetty. She married Lawrence Elder, who preceded her on Nov. 29, 1987. They were a happy union for 60 years.

She attended and was an active member of the Clay Point Church all the years that the church was open. She was active in the beginning operation of senior citizens, quilt-making was one of her greatest joys. She was a busy homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by six daughters, Esther Winland of Williamstown, June Jones of Coolville, Ohio, Beth Hess of Parkersburg and Carole Bills, Carmen Powell and Jackie McIntyre, all of St. Marys; four sons, Lyle Elder of White Plains, Md., John Elder of Canton, Ga. and Delbert Elder and Charles R. Elder, both of St. Marys; three sisters, Velma Hall of St. Marys, Eliner North of Reno, Ohio and Micha Tennant of Wellsburg, W.Va.; four brothers, Archie Fetty and Russell Fetty, both of Weirton, W.Va. and Charles and Donald Fetty, both of St. Marys; 24 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Ruttencutter-Ingram Funeral Home of St. Marys. Pastor Ron Branch will officiate. Burial will be in Lamp Cemetery of Pleasants County. Calling hours are from noon-9 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Edith Higgins Hamilton Farson

Edith Higgins Hamilton Farson, 84, of Route 2, St. Marys, died Dec. 5, 2001, at Carehaven of Pleasants in Belmont, W.Va.

She was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Pleasants County, a daughter of the late Harry and Verne May Cronin Higgins. She was a member of the Willow Island Baptist Church and the Pike Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Frank Farson; two sons, Charles Hamilton and his wife, Shirley and Wayne T. Hamilton and his wife, Patricia, all of Waverly, W.Va.; four granddaughters; two grandsons; six great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; two great-great-granddaughters; one stepson, Charles Farson and his wife, Patricia of St. Marys; two stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Everett Higgins of St. Marys; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd E. Hamilton in 1981; one son, Francis 'Jack' Casto; one great-grandson; two sisters, Mabel Bennett and Eva Higgins; and three brothers, Fred Higgins, James Higgins and Roy Higgins.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Ruttencutter-Ingram Funeral Home of St. Marys. Evangelist Cecil Dotson will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Island Cemetery of Willow Island, W.Va. Calling hours are from 5-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Tammy Lynn Farson

Tammy Lynn Farson, 44, of St. Marys, died Nov. 13, 2001, at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pa.

She was born Oct. 18, 1957, in Marietta, daughter of Claude Dale Farson of Waverly, and Lucille Wise Farson of St. Marys. She was a 1975 graduate of St. Marys High School and a member of the Willow Island Baptist Church. She attended West Liberty State College and West Virginia University. She was the director of The Learning Center at Johnson & Wales University of Charleston, S.C. Her hobbies included bicycling, skiing and horseback riding. She loved the outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Odessa Dale Farson; and her grandparents.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ruttencutter-Ingram Funeral Home of St. Marys, the Rev. Margie Carr-Nickol will officiate. Burial will be in the Willow Island Cemetery of Willow Island, W.Va. Calling hours are from 4-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Leona Ruth Fauss
Leona Ruth Fauss, 69, of St. Marys, died Feb. 20, 2001, at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Parkersburg.

She was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Pleasants County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Pearl and Amanda Huff Templeton. She was a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion Auxilary Post 67 of Sistersville and a member of the AARP.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon G. Fauss; one daughter, Robbie Meeks of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Jeremy Alan Satterfield of St. Marys; Jamie Lynn McGee of Ashland, Va., Jessica Marie McGee and Samantha Crystine Keehn both of Parkersburg; two great-grandsons, Baylon Michael Carter and Issac James Carter both of Ashland, Va.; five stepchildren, Connie McKain of Ludsby, Md., Priscilla Knight, Vicki Holmes and Randall Fauss all of Belmont, and Gary Fauss of Chesapeake, Va.; eight stepgrandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; three brothers, Bill Templeton and Guy Templeton both of St. Marys, and Charles Templeton of Belmont; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Elliott; seven brothers; and one sister.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Ruttencutter-Ingram Funeral Home of St. Marys, with the Rev. Bud Corbin officiating. Burial will be in the Willow Island Cemetery of Willow Island, W.Va. Calling hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Martha J. Felton
Martha June Felton, 52, of St. Marys died Aug. 25, 2002.

She was born May 21, 1950 in Pleasants County, a daughter of the late Martin and Goldie Sparks Boughner. Her hobbies included gardening and she had a love for animals.

She is survived by three daughters, Diana Dalrymple, Deanna Butler and Marsha Butler; three sisters, Joan McKenzie, Darlene Hardin and Debbie Shingleton; one brother, Jim Boughner; three grandsons; and three granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ruttencutter-Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial in St. Marys IOOF Cemetery. Visitation from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Charles Fetty Jr.
Charles Fetty Jr., 80, of St. Marys died Oct. 27, 2002.

He was born July 23, 1922, in Pleasants County, a son of the late Charles W. and Nancy Bailey Fetty. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the European Theater. He retired from American Cyanamid after 33 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 159, AmVets Post 40, and loved to play bluegrass music.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Clara Pickens Fetty; four children, Michael Fetty and his wife Janet of Waverly, Randy Fetty and his wife Sharon, Beverly Morrison, and Beth Maston and her husband Kevin, all of St. Marys; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Archie Fetty of Weirton, and Jack Fetty, both of Weirton, and Don Fetty of Belmont; three sisters, Micha Tennant of Wellsburg, Elinor North of Reno, Ohio, and Velma Hall of St. Marys; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and nine brothers and sisters.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, with Tim Nichols and Jimmy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Willow Island Cemetery, Willow Island, with military honors presented by American Legion Post 159. Calling hours will be from 1-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Edna Louise (Frame) Fitzpatrick
Edna Louise Fitzpatrick, 82, of Belmont, died June 6, 2001.

She was the daughter of the late James Frame and Eva Shock Frame. She married Harlan Fitzpatrick who preceded her in death. She was a retired school teacher with 36 years of combined service in Gilmer and Pleasant Counties. She and her husband owned and operated Fitzpatrick Grocery in Gilmer County and was Protestant by faith.

She is survived by her niece, Sheila Wilson of Linn, W.Va.; one great-niece, Annette Lojewski of Morgantown; and three great-nephews, Douglas Wilson of Austin, Texas , and Matt and Mark Stalnaker of Fairmont.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan; and two sisters, Cotha and Alda Davis

Services 11 a.m. Monday Floyd Funeral Home of Weston. Burial in Troy IOOF Cemetery. Viewing from 3-8 p.m. Sunday.

Burl Fleming
Burl Fleming, 76, of St. Marys died April 8, 2001 at Pine View Continuous Care, Harrisville.

He was born Nov. 24, 1924 at Rock Run. He had been employed as an aide at the Colin Anderson Center, St. Marys.

Survivors include one brother, Ollie J. Fleming of St. Marys; two sisters, Juanita Hendrickson of Belmont and Evelyn Place of Leander, Texas ; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Clara Treadway Fleming; three brothers, Stanley, Blaine, and Virgil Fleming; and two sisters, Margie Fleming and Betty Horner.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nine Mile Cemetery, Pleasants County, the Rev. Eddy Wilson and Roy L. Cox officiating. Visitation from 4-8 p.m. today at McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro.
