He was born on August 5, 1955, in Indianapolis, to the late Johnny R. and Jean F. Cloonan Scott. He was a sales representative for J. C. RV's.
Survivors include three sons, William Hall, of Fulton, Indiana, Jacob M. Carver, of San Marino, and Jamie L. Jorgenson, of Indianapolis; one brother, Johnny R. Hall, Jr., of Martinsville, Indiana; two step-sisters, Susan Scott, of Indianapolis, and Anita Pidun, of Berlin, Germany; step-father, James Scott, of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.
He was the nephew of Ruth Hollandsworth and Robert Hall, of Hillsboro.
Kenneth George Ryder
Kenneth George Ryder, 69, of Mountain Grove, Virginia, died Friday, October 21, 2005, at the Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem, Virginia.
He was born July 6, 1936, in Bath County, Virginia, the son of Rexford George Ryder and Maxie Jenkins Ryder. He was married to his wife of 49 years, Betty J. Ryder.
Mr. Ryder worked for the United States Forestry Department for over 30 years. He was a member of the Mountain Grove Fire Department. Mr. Ryder was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his mother, Maxie Jenkins Ryder, of Mountain Grove; his wife, Betty J. Ryder of Mountain Grove; four children, Kenneth Bruce Ryder, of Mountain Grove, Karen R. Finel, of Warm Springs, Virginia, Randall G. Ryder, of Goshen, Virginia, and Keith G. Ryder, of Porter, Texas ; a brother, Ray Ryder, of Mountain Grove; a sister, Janice O'Farrell, of Mountain Grove; nine grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rex Ryder.
A funeral service was conducted Monday, October 24, 2005, at McLaughlin Funeral Home in Hot Springs with Reverend Steve Greer officiating. Interment was in Mountain Grove Cemetery.

Norma Jane Waugh Reed
Norma Jane Waugh Reed, age 79, of Huntersville, died Sunday, October 23, 2005, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital.
The daughter of the late William Talbert and Elizabeth Jane Sharp Waugh, she was born at Marlinton October 25, 1925.
Mrs. Reed had worked as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and Hillsboro Quilting Club.
Mrs. Reed is survived by her husband, Lloyd H. Reed; five daughters, Barbara Shinaberry and Charlotte Hamons, both of Marlinton, Shirley McCarty, of Dunmore, Betty Jo Feather, of Eglon, and Bonnie May, of Apopka, Florida; two sons, Lloyd H. "Buddy" Reed and Robert Reed, both of Dunmore; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Nellie Lott and Mattie Wilson; and four brothers, Otis Waugh, Milburn Waugh, Loyal Waugh, and Joe Waugh.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. by the Rev. David Rittenhouse, with burial in the Sharp Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to Pocahontas Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon Kaylor, of Dorset, Ohio; father, Roger Lee Davis, of Bartow; brother, Israel Davis, of Garettsville, Ohio; grandmother, Bonnie Sipe, of Bartow.
Visitation was Thursday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale.
Fred Lee McGinnis
Freddie "Fred" Lee McGinnis, age 51, died Sunday, October 9, 2005.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. "Bill" and Irene Poling McGinnis.
Fred was born May 26, 1954, in Shinnston and was employed by Consolidated Coal Company's McElroy Mine.
Surviving him are his wife, Johanna; son, Christopher; and one grandson, all of Paden City; step-mother, Carma McGinnis, of Shinnston; Dortha Hecklinger, of Tennessee, Donna McGinnis, of Marlinton, Dale McGinnis, of Paden City, Donald "Mac" McGinnis, of New Martinsville, Evelyn Cross, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Debbie Helmic, of Shalimar, Florida, and Tim McGinnis, of Proctor.
Funeral services were held at the Jarvis Funeral Home in Paden City on October 12 by the Rev. Harry Midcap. Interment was in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City.
Vandon Kershner
H. Vandon Kershner, age 76, died November 21, 2005, at Woodland, California, in an assisted care home.
He was born on May 5, 1929, at Spice, the son of Lon Hubert and Margaret Agnes McCoy Kershner.
He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and served four years in the Navy during the
Korean War. He lived in Long Beach, California, were he was a barber and had his own shop. He also was a postal worker. For the past three years he lived in Woodland to be near his children. Methodist by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Kershner and John Kershner; one daughter, Debra Mallo; three sisters, Jane L. Duncan, of Hillsboro, Janice McCoy, of Droop Mountain, and Kay Beverage, of Marlinton; his former wife, Nancy McCloud Baldwin; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Kershner, and a half-sister, Saundra Gilmore.
A memorial service will be held on December 2 in Woodland and at a later date his ashes will be buried at the Oak Grove Cemetery at Hillsboro, beside his mother.
Dennis G. Jack
Dennis Gregory "Bojangles" Jack, age 46, of Huttonsville, died unexpectedly on November 24, 2005, at his home.
He was born on April 22, 1959, at Buckhannon, the son of Dean Jack, of Dailey, and the late Izetta Currence Jack.
He was employed as a welder for the J. F. Allen Corporation and was a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Spencer Jack; a daughter, Jennifer C. Rader, of Mill Creek; a son, Jason G. Jack, of Elkins; two stepsons, Samuel Parrish and Kenneth Roy, both of Harman; paternal grandparents, Herbert and Betty Jack, of Buckhannon; stepmother, Vi Jack, of Dailey; two brothers, Clark Jack, of Dailey, and Windel Jack, of Huttonsville; three sisters, Charlotte Wendorf, of Homer, Michigan, Sherley Jack, of Triangle, Virginia, and Doris Sharp, of Marlinton; and three grandchildren.
Funeral was held on Tuesday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins with the Rev. William Lanham officiating. Interment was in the Brick Church Cemetery near Huttonsville.
Margaret Herold Hill
Margaret Herold Hill, age 90, died November 23, 2005, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, Virginia.
She was born in Huntersville on October 27, 1915, the daughter of Dr. Everette Gilmore and Ethel Lockridge Herold, and grew up in Marlinton.
On December 16, 1944, she married Herbert Granville Hill, of Hillsboro, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Hill Poteet, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and the Rev. Sarah Lockridge Hill, of Broadway, Virginia; one son, Richard Gilmore Hill, of Hooper, Utah; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
After her marriage she lived in Hillsboro until her husband transferred to work in Petersburg, Virginia, where she was an active member of the Second Presbyterian Church. She was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star and she was a member of the Petersburg Women's Club. She had been a resident of the Sunnyside Retirement Community in Harrisonburg, Vir ginia, the last two years of her life.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, November 29, at the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro by the Rev. Lucy Youngblood. Burial followed at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
A memorial service was held November 30 at Second Presbyterian Church, Petersburg, Virginia, by the Rev. Dr. Daniel E. Hale.

Homer Thaxton Bibb, Jr., age 46, of Rt. 92, Marlinton, died Tuesday, November 22, 1905, at home.
A native of Alexandria, Virginia, he was born July 9, 1959, the son of Homer Thaxton Bibb, Sr., and Ida Dove Almond Bibb.
He was a stone mason,
