Mr. Homer Ellis McComas Jr., 71, of Huntington, passed away at his winter home in Zephyrhills, Fla., Saturday, January 1, 2005. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, with the Rev. Dr. Reed Wood and Father Leon Alexander officiating. Burial in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Homer was born August 1, 1933, in West Hamlin, W.Va., the son of the late Homer Ellis Sr., and Ruth Rousey, McComas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Cynthia Guinn McComas in 1994; and a brother, John Vanloe McComas. Survivors include his wife of five years, Patsy Ruth Carson Ray McComas; one daughter and son-in-law, Betsy and Dean Brotherton of Milton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Karen McComas, Matthew and Robin McComas, Mark and Sara McComas, all of Barboursville; brothers, Glenn McComas of Huntington and Bethel McComas of Cartersville, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Angie and her husband, Jared, Christopher, Shawn, Jennifer, Katie, J.D., Scott, Shane, Kyle; one great-granddaughter, Rayen Ciccolella. He is also survived by Patsy's children and grandchildren, David and Teresa Ray, Mark Ray of Huntington, Mary Beth and Brian Vance of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Ryan, Jeremy, Bradley, Cory Ray, Hannah and Hunter Vance. Homer retired from CSX Transportation after 44 Years of service, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Barboursville, and Riviera Golf Club, where he will be deeply missed by his golfing friends. He was a graduate of Huntington East High School in 1951, an avid golfer and Marshall University sports fan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to diabetes. Wanda Plymale Collins
Wanda Lynn Plymale Collins, 52, of Norfolk, Virginia died November 22, 2004, after a long and courageous battle with cystic fibrosis.
She was born in Roanoke, Virginia and raised in the Baptist faith. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 1975 and taught junior high school science in Louisa County, Virginia and in Norfolk until her illness caused her to retire in 1982. She then used her time and remaining energy to help others. Until recently, she was an active volunteer at WHRO Public Television and Radio Stations, working the telephones for their fund raising drives. She also read to the blind via their special radio network. She was a member of the Tidewater Chapter of Virginia Tech Alumni Association, participated in numerous fund raising events for the group's scholarship awards program. She was a supporter of the Norfolk SPCA, the Union Mission, the Salvation Army and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She was also on the board of the Endependence Center, Inc., of Norfolk.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Gladys Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Billy and Virginia Plymale, and her mother-in-law, Jeanne Parker Collins.
Surviving: husband, Paul T. Collins III; parents, Dorothy M. Plymale and Thomas W. Plymale of Huddleston, Virginia; sister, Debra K. Plymale of Huddleston; brother, Roger A. Plymale of Winfield; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dedicated friends. She leaves behind her loving dear cats, Jasper Jane, Floppy, Millie, Tennessee, Dakota, Georgia, and Shiloh - they and Paul were her babies.
Wanda will be greatly missed by all who knew her and those whose lives she touched. A special thanks goes to the doctors and nurses who cared for Wanda during her illness. Thanks to three dear friends who have provided unwavering support through this difficult time.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, November 30, 2004, in the Church of the Good Shepherd by the Rev. Robert A. Davenport. An additional memorial service was held December 5, 2004 at Staunton Baptist Church, Huddleston, Virginia. Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James Junior Dunn, 72, of Culloden died December 23, 2004.
Service was held Monday, December 27, 2004, at Chapman Funeral Home, Teays Valley. Burial was in Fraziers Bottom United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Thurman Park Hull
Thurman Park Hull, 81, of Eleanor died Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at home following a short illness.
He was a retired electrical lineman for the City of Hamilton, Ohio and AEP. He was a member of Buffalo Church of God and was a Marine Corps veteran of World II, where he served in several island invasions in the Pacific Theater of War. He was a member of the Buffalo Sportsman Club, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Alice Hull, and his wife of 57 years, Mary Etta Hull.
Surviving: daughters and their husbands, Shirley and Gary Garrison of Red House, Nancy Jividen of Eleanor, Linda and Rick Plessinger of Eastpoint, Florida; son and his wife, Luther Alfred “Bill” and Bekki Hull of Fairfield, Ohio; sister and her husband, Edith and Bill Harris of Lutz, Florida; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren.
Service was held Monday, December 27, 2004, at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with the Rev. Wayne Burch officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Memorial Park.
Arnie M. Webb
Mrs. Arnie M. Webb, 93, of Liberty died December 26, 2004, in Putnam General Hospital.
She was a member of Center Point Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Webb, and daughter, Arlene Hammack.
Surviving: sons, James Webb of Liberty, Arbie Webb of Winfield, Kenneth Webb of St. Albans, and Billy Webb of Liberty; brother, Dencil Harrison of Liberty; sisters, Delores Clendenin of Red House and Annabelle Martin of Nitro; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Betty Lou Gillispie
Betty Lou Gillispie, 67, of Manila Creek died December 25, 2004, at Home with her sister and brother-in-law, Penny and Danny Tucker, nieces, Dawn and Fannie, and nephews, Danny II and James Tucker, who helped take care of her.
She was a member and former trustee of Painter Bethel Church.
Also surviving: sisters, Linda Jones and Brenda Fritz; brother, James “Pedro” Gillispie; several nieces and nephews.
Service was held Tuesday, December 28, 2004, at Painter Bethel Church with the Rev. Ivan “Pete” Cobb officiating. Burial was in New Antioch Cemetery. Gatens-Harding Funeral Home, Poca, was in charge of arrangements.
Minnie Louise McCoy
Minnie Louise McCoy, 90, of Buffalo died Monday, December 27, 2004, at home following a long illness.
She was a homemaker, a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area, and attended the Buffalo Church of the Nazarene.
Born in Grimms Landing, Mason County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Lillie Buck, and her husband of 53 years, Charles McCoy. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Kathern Higginbotham and Ruth Null, and her brothers, James Buck and the Rev. Dellus “Dick” Buck.
Surviving: daughter, Garnett A. Allen of Eleanor; several nieces and nephews.
Service was held Thursday, December 30, 2004, at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with Pastor Sidney Warner officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Memorial Park.
Kermit L. Wines
Kermit L. Wines, 38, of Liberty, died Monday, December 27, 2004, at home.
He was born August 18, 1966 in Charleston and was a 31-year resident of Liberty. He was a disabled contractor who worked throughout the valley.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Pleasant and Birtie Ellen Wines, and his maternal grandfather, Holly Elmer Harding.
Surviving: wife, Sidney Burgess Wines; daughter, Karah Lea Wines of Liberty; son, Seth L. Wines of Liberty; parents, Ira L. Wines and Norma Harding Wines of Liberty; maternal grandmother, Ora Cobb of Elkview; sisters, Carolyn Dickens of Bancroft, Dreama Proctor of Charleston and Etta McCormick of Nitro; brothers, Harold “Hardy” Harding of Ashford, Bobby L. Wines of Hurricane, Derek Dickens and Sean Wines, both of Nitro; several nieces and nephews; and many friends who loved him very much.

Donald Earl Stout
Donald Earl Stout, 61, of Hurricane died Friday, December 24, 2004, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
Surviving: daughters, Michelle Trail and Lisa Harrison, both of St. Albans, and Debra Lee of Cross Lanes; sisters, Mary Snyder, Rachel DeSanto, Sue Brown, and Juanita Barnes; brothers, Harold, Bradley, James, and Tom Stout; four grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Thursday, December 30, 2004, at Chapman Funeral Home, Teays Valley, with the Rev. Jack A.C. Lawrence officiating.

Frazier E. Eggleton, 88, of Scott Depot died Tuesday, December 28, 2004.
Born February 12, 1916 on Poplar Fork, he was the last of four sons and three daughters born to the late Robert and Bertie Eggleton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Inez “Pete” Joyce Eggleton, and his grandson, Joel Edwards.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Hoosier Construction and retired from Henson Construction Company, a sub-contractor for Union Carbide. He was a lifelong resident of Scott Depot.
Surviving: daughter, Carol Edwards of Hurricane; son, Robert Eggleton and his wife, Caroline, of Kanawha City; grandson, Patrick Edwards and his wife, Kathy, of Charlotte, North Carolina; two great-grandsons, Brandon Edwards of Leon and Christopher Edwards of Charlotte.
Service was held Friday, December 31, 2004, at Chapel of the Guardian Angel of Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane, with the Rev. Charles V. Williams officiating. Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans, was in charge of arrangements.
