HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Frank Delbert "Jack" Short Jr., 43, of Shannondale, died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born May 4, 1954, in Cuba, N.Y., he was the son of Janice Miller Short of Saegertown, Pa., and the late Frank D. Short.
He was a graduate of Saegertown High School, Saegertown, Pa.
He was employed by Richard Cale Sun Design Co., Harpers Ferry.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during the Vietnam War, where he received the National Defense Service Medal.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of National Rifle Association.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Marilyn F. Frye Short; three daughters, Laura Smith of Idaho Springs, Colo., Rebecca Guerra of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Amanda Cale, at home; two sisters, Darcy Hatch of Filmore, N.Y., and Lisa Mason of Erie, Pa.; three grandchildren; five nieces; and two nephews.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town, W.Va. The Rev. Joanne Alexander and the Rev. Kent Tice will officiate. Burial will be in Union cemetery, Leesburg, Va.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

BUNKER HILL, W.Va. - E. Virginia Householder, 90, of Bunker Hill, died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at Integrated Health Services Nursing Home, Charles Town, W.Va.
Born May 8, 1907, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Prentiss and Edythe Dyche Turner.
She retired as a bookkeeper from Union Sales Dodge Co.
She was a life member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
She was formerly active with Girl Scouts of America.
She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia I. Smallwood of Bunker Hill; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James Prentiss Turner; and one great-granddaughter, Michelle Kirsch.
Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Al Clipp will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

Margaret E. Grove
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Margaret E. Grove, 64, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at her home.
Born Dec. 21, 1932, in Hedgesville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Riley C. and Ruth Greenfield Butts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Grove.
She was formerly employed at Diana Shop. She and her husband were owners and operators of Grove's Interior Cleaning Service.
She was a 1950 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She was a life member of Bedington Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Marlene C. Walker of Mountain Top, Pa.; one son, Stephen C. Grove, at home; one grandson; and a close friend, Phyllis Palmer of Houston, Texas.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Claude Steen will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Elsie Margaret Nadenbousch, 86, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born April 14, 1911, in Gerrardstown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Wilson Turner Adams and Josephine Virginia Hardy-Adams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Collins Nadenbousch.
She was a graduate of America School of Correspondence, Chicago.
She was employed by Corning Glass Works in Martinsburg as an inspector for 16 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Corning Glass Retirees Club.
She was a member of Hedgesville United Methodist Church, where she was a charter member of United Methodist Women and Win-One Sunday School Class.
She was a 50-year member of Homemaker's Club of Berkeley County, W.Va., and a charter member of Hedgesville Rebekah Lodge 65. She served as the first presiding officer and as district deputy president for six years under the Rebekah Assembly of West Virginia.
She is survived by two sons, Earl Bender Nadenbousch and Marvin Collins Nadenbousch, both of Martinsburg; one brother, Howard Omar Adams; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence W. Adams.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Terri S. Cofiell will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

Vincent E. Greenan
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Vincent E. Greenan, 70, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born Jan. 16, 1927, in Detroit, he was the son of the late James J. and Ida Waholtz Greenan.
He was retired and had worked as a supervisor for Handy and Harman.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Haden Greenan; one daughter, Elizabeth Frazer of Martinsburg; four sisters, Ida Coughlin of Dearborn, Mich., Barbara Fowler of Livonia, Mich., Mary Dziedzik of Westland, Mich., and Madeline McHugh of Metamora, Mich.; three brothers, Thomas Greenan of Romulus, Mich., and Patrick Greenan and Clement Greenan, both of Redford, Mich.; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with the Rev. John V. DiBacco Jr., as celebrant. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
The family will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday prior to going to the church.
Charles L. Triggs
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Charles Lee Triggs, 80, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Nursing Home, where he had resided for the past five years.
Born Feb. 1, 1917, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Hunter and Alice Hite Triggs.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mary Hutzler Triggs.
He was formerly employed with the service department of Dunn & Seibert, Martinsburg.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by four daughters, Phyllis L. Stanley of Clear Brook, Va., Peggy Ann Walker, Frances I. Smith and Barbara "Bobby" Rice, all of Martinsburg; one son, Charles Sherman Triggs of Martinsburg; four sisters, Catherine M. Hareford of Lake Wales, Fla., Marjorie P. Miller of Martinsburg, Nevada T. Albin of Charles Town, W.Va., and Mary Ann Grubb of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Howard D. Triggs; four sisters, Estella Bryant, Beulah Butts, Olive Palmer and Naomi McCusker; and two brothers, Walter Triggs and Harlan Triggs.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Oscar Motilal will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Gladys Virginia Myers, 89, of Kearneysville, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, at Shenandoah Nursing Home, Ranson, W.Va.
Born Dec. 22, 1907, in Bakerton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James Marion and Katie May Springer Harding.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Myers Sr., in 1961.
She retired as a seamstress from Lori-Lynn Co., Ranson.
She was a member of Bakerton Church of God.
She is survived by one son, William M. Myers Jr. of Kearneysville; one sister, Catherine White of Leesburg, Va.; seven grandchildren, Marvin Myers of Martinsburg, W.Va., Brenda Jenkins of Leesburg, Sandra Gray of Middleway, W.Va., Patricia Burch of Charles Town, W.Va., Cindy Myers of Kearneysville, William L. Myers of Hagerstown and Gregory Myers of Leetown, W.Va.; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, Wilbert Harding, James Harding, Roger Harding, Arthur Harding, Woodrow Harding and Eugene Harding.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry, W.Va. The Rev. Paul D. Kemp will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Lutheran cemetery, Bolivar, W.Va.
