BERRYVILLE, Va. - Meredith E. Hill, 79, of Berryville, and formerly of Inwood, W.Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997, at Hilltop Home for Adults, Berryville.
Born May 12, 1918, he was the son of the late Alexander and Irene Marsdan Carper Hill.
He retired from the Defense Mapping Agency of the U.S. government in Washington, D.C.
He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Ranson, W.Va.
He is survived by one half-brother, Thomas Hill of Gaithersburg, Md.
Services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel in Martinsburg. The Rev. William Reed will officiate.
There will be no visitation.

John W. Gentry
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - John Wesley Gentry, 80, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, at his home.
Born Dec. 30, 1917, in Floyd County, Va., he was the son of the late Rev. A.L. and Ollie E. Robinson Gentry.
He was a retired horse trainer at Charles Town Races, where he worked for 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cornelia Woodward Gentry; four stepdaughters, Jeannie Cross and Kay Pifer, both of Kearneysville, Ruth A. Manning of Baker, Fla., and Judith Slusher of Fredericksburg, Va.; two stepsons, Norman Woodward of Kearneysville, and John W. Woodward of Berkeley County, W.Va.; eight stepgrandchildren; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by one son, Richard A. Gentry; and two brothers, Bill Gentry and Robert Gentry.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, Martinsburg. The Rev. William C. Crowe will officiate.
There will be no visitation.

Elizabeth L. Weaver
FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Elizabeth Louise Weaver, 67, of Falling Waters, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1997, at her home.
Born March 16, 1930, in Millville, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Margarite F. Jones Olson.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Glenn Weaver; one sister, Karen Marie Pereira of Millville; and nieces and nephews.
There will be no viewing.
A memorial service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. James E. Swecker will officiate.

Grantham A. Myers
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Grantham Albert Myers, 79, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at his home.
Born Dec. 14, 1918, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late William A. and Pearl Davis Myers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn I. Myers, in 1989.
He was a 1938 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He was a retired brakeman with B&O Railroad.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II.
He was a life member of Christ Reformed Church, Martinsburg.
He was a member of BPOE 867 in Winchester, Va., and Moose Lodge 120, American Legion Post 14 and VFW Post 896, all in Martinsburg.
He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Myers Bucher of Winchester and Kathryn Myers Bivens of Martinsburg; two sons, William A. Myers of Winchester and Max G. Myers of Martinsburg; one brother, James D. Myers of Martinsburg; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Myers.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, 2060 Rosedale cemetery Road, Martinsburg. The Rev. Thomas E. Hartshorn will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

RICHMOND, Va. - Florence Hilliard LeMaster, 63, of Richmond, and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, in Richmond.
Born Oct. 30, 1934, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Herman "Skinny" and Esther V. Turner Hilliard.
She was a 1953 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She was employed, for 28 years, at Wonder Bakery, Richmond.
She is survived by one son, James A. "Andy" LeMaster of Mechanicsville, Va.; one sister, D. Jane Hilliard Brown of Williamsport; one brother, Carlton Leroy Hilliard of Falling Waters, W.Va.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Ann LeMaster; and one brother, Elmer Lee Hilliard.
Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Raymond E. Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Dora Lee Hobson Beasley, 43, of Falling Waters, and formerly of Frederick, Md., died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born June 28, 1954, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of John L. Hobson of Baltimore and the late Jean E. Black Hobson.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Richard D. Beasley; stepmother, Barbara Hobson of Baltimore; three children, Dorothy M. Haines of Falling Waters, Jean Ann Hottinger of Broadway, Va., and Edward L. Drummond Jr. of Falling Waters; two sisters, Judy A. Martin of Frederick and Sue M. McCreery of Woodsboro, Md.; five grandchildren; a niece and nephews; and special friends, Barry A. Milam of Gilbert, Ariz., and Shirley H. Norris of Falling Waters.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The Rev. Jeff Hudson, pastor of Fredericktowne Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

GERRARDSTOWN, W.Va. - Harry Thomas "Tom" Herndon, 63, of Route 1, Gerrardstown, died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Aug. 31, 1934, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Cecil T. and Margaret Propes Herndon.
He was a graduate of Shepherdstown High School.
He was co-owner of Rio Vending and was owner and operator, along with his wife, of Tender Loving Pet Care.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the church council.
He was a member of Martinsburg Lodge 120, Loyal Order of Moose and Newton D. Baker VFW Post 896.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Orr Kane Herndon; one son, Scott Herndon of Manassas, Va.; three stepsons, Douglas Kane and Rodney Kane, both of Gerrardstown, and Kevin Kane of Martinsburg; one sister, Anna Lane of Petersham, Mass.; four grandchildren; and one niece.
Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. John D. Yost will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Gerald Wayne Everhart, 48, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998, in Martinsburg.
Born Oct. 26, 1949, in Martinsburg, he was the son of Florence Bowers Franklin and the late Homer H. Everhart.
He attended Providence Bible Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Amy Lynn Everhart of Martinsburg; one son, Gerald W. Everhart II of Martinsburg; five sisters, Shirley Ridgeway of Georgia; Joyce Anderson of Pennsylvania, Susan Edwards, Catherine Mills and Deborah Wise, all of Martinsburg; and three brothers, Ralph D. Everhart, Charles Franklin and Warren Franklin, both of Mount Olive, W.Va.
Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Eddie H. Edmonds will officiate. Burial will be in Providence cemetery.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Edward Matthew Williams, infant son of Paul McKinley and Annette Louise Bain Williams of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Va.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Foy and Martha Williams of Churchton, Md.; paternal grandparents, Carl and Huldah Bain of McConnellsburg, Pa.; two aunts, Anna Colpitts of Burke, Va. and Jean Macauley of Norfolk, Va.; three uncles, John Williams of Woodbridge, Va., Carl Bain of Chesterton, Ind., and William Bain of Reston, Va.; and great-aunts and great-uncles.
