FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Rodger Lee Eccard, 52, of 1320 Knighton Lane, died Friday, May 8, 1998, at his home.
Born Jan. 1, 1946, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of Evelyn Rae Delauter Eccard of Wolfsville, Md., and the late William Glenn Eccard Jr.
He was a 1964 graduate of Middletown (Md.) High School.
He had been a painter for Potomac Center in Hagerstown for 15 years. He was previously employed by Morgan Keller Construction Co. in Wolfsville for 18 years.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Chewsville.
He was a member of Potomac Post 202, American Legion in Williamsport and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 120, Martinsburg, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Weller Eccard; two daughters, Leann R. Eccard-Crutchley of Hagerstown and Nicole K. Eccard of Myersville, Md.; three stepdaughters, Karen L. Dwyer of Jessup, Md., Kellan L. Spielman of Funkstown, and Kachele L. Aleshire of Hagerstown; one stepson, Kevin L. Spielman of Funkstown; one sister, Wanda M. Snyder of Wolfsville, Md.; one brother, Cecil B. Eccard; his maternal grandmother, Grace R. Delauter of Hagerstown; his paternal grandmother, Orphy M. Eccard of Boonsboro; and three stepgrandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. John W. Schildt will officiate. Burial will be in Salem United Methodist Church cemetery, Wolfsville.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home. For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will be open today from noon to 5 p.m.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Lucille P. Jones, 94, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at Heartland of Martinsburg.
Born Nov. 14, 1903, in Green Spring, Md., she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Ella O. Washington Hilton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Jones Sr.
A retired teacher of voice and piano, she taught in Maryland, Philadelphia and Martinsburg.
She was a missionary and mother of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Eloise Bell of Philadelphia; two stepsons, George H. Jones Jr. of Martinsburg and Earl E. Jones of Columbia, Md.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Stanley L. Patterson.
Services will be Friday at noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The Rev. James Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery, Martinsburg.
Viewing will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will gather at 309 Hess Ave. at 11 a.m. prior to he service.
William B. Gladden
INWOOD, W.Va. - William B. Gladden, 65, of Inwood, died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Sept. 18, 1932, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John B. and Elsie May Orndoff Gladden.
He was a retired nursing assistant at the VA Medical Center.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 896, Martinsburg.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Veronica H. Gladden; four daughters, Sandra Hopwood of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Cindy O'Connor of Winchester, Va., and Teresa Queen and Diane Bohrer, both of Berkeley County; seven sons, William Gladden Jr. of Inwood; Cecil Gladden of Uniontown, Pa., Timmy Gladden of Hagerstown, Matthew Gladden in the military at Norfolk, Va., Steve Gladden of Williamsburg, Va., and David Gladden and Paul Gladden, both of Berkeley County; six sisters, Margaret V. Saylor, Dorothy Corbin, Veronica LaRosa, and Deborah Chan, all of Berkeley County, Fern A. Quick of California and Mary R. Knight of Virginia; six brothers, John F. Gladden, Harry L. Gladden, Joseph E. Gladden, Earl E. Gladden and Richard L. Gladden, all of Berkeley County, and Oscar W. Gladden of Williamsport, Md.; 20 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan E. Gladden; and one brother, Henry Max Gladden.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Leo Catholic Church, Inwood. The Rev. Brian Shoda will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, Martinsburg, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.
Dolores V. Anderson
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Dolores Virginia Anderson, 68, of Martinsburg, died Monday, May 11, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born Feb. 11, 1930, in Easton, Md., she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Elenor Lindeman Cox.
She was a member of Hedgesville United Methodist Church.
She was a member of AARP and Berkeley County Council on Aging.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Anderson; three daughters, Dawn M. Barnett of Joppa, Md., Gayla L. Anderson of Aberdeen, Md., and Donna L. Hoffman of Baltimore; one son, Mark E. Anderson of Fairfax, Va.; two sisters, Eileen Mansfield of Prince Frederick, Md., and Marlene Straughn of Mechanicsville, Md.; one brother, Maurice Cox of Salisbury, Md.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Cox.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Hedgesville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Terri S. Cofiell will officiate. Burial will be in Harford Memorial Garden, Havre de Grace, Md.

ELKTON, Ohio - Christopher Brown, 43, of Elkton, and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Wednesday, May 6, 1998, at Salem Community Hospital, Salem, Ohio.
Born July 10, 1954, in Jamaica, he was the son of the late Zachariah and Rebecca Brown.
He previously was employed at Dixie-Narco.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a dear friend, Delores Allen of Kearneysville, W.Va.; one stepdaughter, Charleatta Black of Kearneysville; one stepson, Carlton Stubbs of Kearneysville; two sisters and two brothers, all of Clarington, Jamaica; a cousin; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg. The Rev. Tyrone Lockett will officiate.

Born June 25, 1966, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of Thelma Breeden Parker and Calvin L. Myers Sr.
He was a graduate of Hedgesville (W.Va.) High School.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Smith Myers; two sons, Bradley Levon Myers and Casey Lee Myers, both at home; two sisters, Katherine Guesford and Cassandra Lyn Myers Poisal, both of Martinsburg; a brother, Robert Myers of Martinsburg; four nieces and two nephews.

Born Sept. 2, 1912, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Isaac Spencer and Ella Mae Mason Slonaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. Reed.
She was once employed by Perfection Garment Co.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Renae Reed Patrick of Lynchburg, Va.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Edith Bailey, Leota Marpole, Lyda Abshire and Aretha Watson; and three brothers, Hubert Slonaker, Harry Slonaker and Ralph Slonaker.

Herbert A. Gallahan
KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Herbert Addison Gallahan, 72, of Kearneysville, died Friday, May 15, 1998, at his home.
Born Jan. 20, 1926, in Round Hill, Va., he was the son of the late Raymond and Alverna Pearson Gallahan.
He was a retired carpenter and belonged to Carpenters Local Union 1590, Washington, D.C.
He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II in France and Germany. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Inwood, W.Va.
He also was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Stonewall Jackson Chapter 9, Winchester, Va.; Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4468, Purcellville, Va.; and American Legion Post 71, Charles Town, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Losie Butler Gallahan; three daughters, Margaret G. Hough of Round Hill, Va., Nancy L. Slye of Bluemont, Va., and Wanda L. Depfer of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; two sons, Herbert A. Gallahan Jr. of Bluemont, and Lawrence F. Gallahan of Adamstown, Md.; one sister, Mary Barber of Frederick, Md.; and eight brothers, Bernard Gallahan of Round Hill, Daniel Gallahan and Charles Gallahan, both of Lovettsville, Va., Thomas Gallahan of Maryland, Paul Gallahan of Summit Point, W.Va., John Gallahan of Stephens, Va., Clarence Gallahan of Bluemont, and Walter Gallahan of Brucetown, Va.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Gallahan, Fred Gallahan and James Gallahan.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson. Pastor Devin B. Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Hillsboro cemetery in Hillsboro, Va., with military graveside services conducted by Newton D. Baker Post 896, VFW and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion.
