BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - William R. Joyner, 66, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born July 24, 1932, in Franklinton, N.C., he was the son of the late John Henry and Frances Cook Joyner.
He retired from the U.S. Army as a master sergeant, having served during the Vietnam War and the Korean War.
He is survived by a son, William H. Joyner of Florida; a sister, Margie Wilson of Rolesville, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Culpeper National cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg.
Geraldine E. Buracker
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Geraldine Elizabeth Ann Buracker, 80, of Shepherdstown, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born Aug. 26, 1917, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Clem Leo and Irene Sanders Wilson and stepdaughter of Bessie Griffith Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin Elwood Buracker and her second husband, Carlton Virts.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Brunswick, Md.; and AARP.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Barnisky of Shepherdstown and Deborah Collis of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; three sons, Michael Buracker of Shepherdstown, Robert Buracker of Lansdale, Pa. and Richard Buracker of Ranson, W.Va.; two sisters, Phyllis Yeager of Brunswick and Elizabeth Knight of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; three brothers, Wesley Wilson of Rocky Mountain, Md., Delano Wilson of Keedysville and Eugene Wilson of Brunswick; 27 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor Ann Jewell; three sisters, Augusta Lee Wilson, Irma Lewis and Mary Waters; and three brothers, Paul Glenn, Robert Wilson and William Wilson.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson, W.Va. Pastor Joseph Burwell will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town, W.Va.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ella P. Butler
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Ella Pearline McDonald Butler, 74, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born Jan. 9, 1924, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Mary Jane "Mazie" Aikens McDonald.
She was employed by Perfection Garment for 14 years; and had retired from London Fog Manufacturing, Boonsboro, after 21 years of service.
She was a member of Arden United Methodist Church from more than 50 years.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George Arthur Butler; two sons, Jim Butler and John Butler, both of Inwood, W.Va.; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Millard W. McDonald Sr. and Marlin R. McDonald; an infant sister, Mary Savannah McDonald; and a great-grandson.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Arden United Methodist Church. Entombment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Jennifer R. Robinson, 20, of Hedgesville, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 1998, at West Virginia University Hospital.
Born Jan. 16, 1978, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of June Robinson Edwards and stepdaughter of Kenneth Edwards.
She was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by half sister, Kelly Edwards of Hedgesville.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, W.Va. The Rev. Keith G. Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Johnsontown cemetery.

CHERRY RUN, W.Va. - Calvin Lunger "Joe" Goller, 79, of Cherry Run, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Born Oct. 5, 1918, in Cherry Run, he was the son of Laura May Michael Goller of Cherry Run and the late George A. Goller.
He attended Mount Trimble School, Cherry Run.
He retired after 49 years of service with O'Donnell's Sea Grill, Bethesda, Md.
He was a member of Michaels Chapel United Methodist Church, Cherry Run.
He was a member of Almas Temple Masonic Lodge 1, Washington, D.C.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Georgina M. Blaine of Beltsville, Md. and Anita L. Pierce of Advance, N.C.; a son, Jeffrey L. Goller of College Park, Md.; a sister, Patsy Hessler of Cherry Run; a brother, Jack Stotler of Cherry Run; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janetta Davis; and a brother, Curtis Goller.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Michaels Chapel United Methodist Church, Cherry Run, W.Va. The Rev. Wayne Frum and the Rev. Hennis H. Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads cemetery, Morgan County, W.Va.

Born Dec. 9, 1928, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles Francis and Edna Mary Ellsworth Winfield. She was raised by the late Lawrence E. and Mary A. Shroyer Ellsworth.
She was a member of Johnsontown Church of the Brethren, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and deaconess.
She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia E. Neal of Inwood, W.Va.; five sons, Gary A. Stewart, Richard D. Stewart, Delbert W. Stewart and Charles S. Stewart, all of Hedgesville, and Brian L. Stewart of Hagerstown; three sisters, Barbara J. Ellsworth, Linda L. Ellsworth Boyce and Connie Ellsworth Humbertson, all of LaVale, Md.; three brothers, Lewis T. Winfield of New Bedford, Mass., Terrance D. Ellsworth of LaVale, and Tech. Sgt. Richard E. Ellsworth of Crestview, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Edna M. Winfield Ketterman; and two brothers, Donald L. Ellsworth and Kenneth E. Ellsworth.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Betty Jean Brimlow, 56, of Hedgesville, and formerly of Manassas, Va., died of cancer Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Jan. 4, 1942, in North Braddock, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lillian Zewe Howe.
She retired from Manassas School Board.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Manassas.
She also was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 106 in Manassas and Chapter 738 Women of the Moose, Martinsburg.
She is survived by her husband, Richard C. Brimlow Sr.; a daughter, Rochelle L. Brimlow of Manassas; a son, Richard C. Brimlow Jr. of Dallas; two brothers, Kenneth E. Howe of Dallas and Dale R. Howe of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. James R. Embrey will officiate. Burial will be in Hedges Chapel cemetery, Hedgesville.

Paul J. Lavoie
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Paul John Lavoie, 77, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at his home.
Born Nov. 13, 1920, in Cambridge, Mass., he was the son of the late Alfred and Alice Beaumier Lavoie.
His wife, Barbara A. Dufresne Lavoie, died in 1997.
He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps before serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by five daughters, Barbara A. Benware of Randolph, Vt., Laura J. Kazmierczak of Attica, N.Y., Mary L. Dufort of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., Kathleen P. Jacobitz of Dover, N.H., and Pamela H. Lavoie of Martinsburg; a son, Paul J. Lavoie II of Lowell, Mass.; two sisters, Gisele Daggett of Tucson, Ariz., and Theresa Cirone of St. Petersburg, Fla.; four brothers, Charles Lavoie and Henry Lavoie, both of Cambridge, Frank Lavoie of Pelham, N.H., and Joseph Lavoie of Wakefield, Mass; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthern St., Chelmsford, Mass. Burial will be in Pine Ridge cemetery, Chelmsford.
