BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Kenneth Robert "Butch" Bowers, 44, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at his home.
Born Jan. 13, 1954, in Chicopee, Mass., he was the son of Kenneth William and Doris Wolfe Bowers of Falling Waters, W.Va.
He was a 1972 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He was a plumber, welder and contractor.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was an avid Harley Davidson biker, both for pleasure and in local competitions. Some of his awards in Tri-State area competitions include Best of Show and second place custom at the sixth annual McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co. Car, Truck and Bike Show in 1998; second place at the fifth annual McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co. Car, Truck and Bike Show in 1997; first place at Log Cabin First Annual Bike Show in 1997; Top 10 Cycles award at the annual Kmart Charity Benefit in 1995; second place at the third annual McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co. Car, Truck and Bike Show in 1995; second place touring at the third annual 1995 Auto and Bike Show in Everett, Pa.; and fourth place and longest distance award at the third annual Spring Festival in Everett.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Marsha Ann Maravelis Bowers; one son, Kenneth Robert Bowers Jr., at home; three sisters, Sharon Hutchinson of Gaffney, S.C., Linda Rohrer of Hutchinson, Kan., and Susan Bowers of Miami; one brother, Michael Bowers of Falling Waters; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Berkeley Springs Church of the Nazarene, 915 Harrison Ave., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Rodney C. Truax will officiate. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kenneth Robert Bowers Memorial Fund, c/o Berkeley Springs Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 427, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. 25411.

Mabel K. Habig
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Mabel Katherine Habig, 80, of 803 Tuscawilla Hills, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born Jan. 4, 1918, in Bolivar, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Welton and Viola Padgett Zombro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Habig, in 1989.
She retired as a secretary at the Naval Hospital at Patuxent River, Md.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Charles Town.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by seven sisters, Annie Mauzy, Margaret Greer, Frances Thee, Dorothy Zombro, Myrtle Walker, Marvis Neale and Agnes Whetzel; and two brothers, Pete Zombro and Charles Zombro.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry, W.Va. The Rev. Brian Owens will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery, Harpers Ferry.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Charles S. Trump III
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Charles Samuel Trump III, 65, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998, at his home.
Born March 6, 1933, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Charles S. and Miriam Farnsworth Embick Trump Jr.
He was a 1951 graduate of Mercersburg Academy; and a 1955 graduate of Princeton University. He earned his L.L.B. from American University in Washington, D.C., in 1960.
He joined his father's law practice in 1960 and practiced in Berkeley Springs until 1985.
He was mayor of the town of Bath from 1965 to 1967; and was prosecuting attorney for Morgan County from 1973 through 1980.
He served as a director and general counsel for Citizens National Bank of Berkeley Springs.
He was a member of Kiwanis Club and Morgan County Economic Development Corp.
He delivered news and commentary on WCST in Berkeley Springs.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Loftus Trump, whom he married Aug. 15, 1959; three children, Charles S. Trump IV, Conrad Shaun Trump and Kristen Noreen Trump, all of Berkeley Springs; and five grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Thomas W. Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway cemetery.

CHESTNUT HILL, W.Va. - Donna Jean Everhart, 42, of Chestnut Hill, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born March 1, 1956, in Ranson, W.Va., she was the daughter of Nelson Lambert and Anna Katherine Howell Grove of Silver Grove, W.Va.
She was the manager of Mountain House Cafe, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
She was a member of Silver Grove United Methodist Church; and Church of the First Born at Harpers Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Danny E. Everhart; a daughter, Marsha Everhart, at home; a son, Erik Everhart, at home; maternal grandmother, Anna Louise Howell of Ranson; five sisters, Trudy Grove of Bolivar, W.Va., Karen Smoot of Martinsburg, W.Va., Lisa Bond of Kearneysville, W.Va., April Maples of Charles Town, W.Va., and Robin Grove of Silver Grove; five brothers, Donald Grove, Jimmy Grove, Dwayne Grove, Mark Grove and Randall Grove, all of Silver Grove; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Antionnette Marie Everhart.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Silver Grove United Methodist Church, Silver Grove. The Rev. Basil Day Jr. and the Rev. Lee Stickler will officiate. Burial will be in Silver Grove cemetery.

Gladys V. Lloyd
BOLIVAR, W.Va. - Gladys Virginia Lloyd, 79, of Bolivar, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at Care Haven of Berkeley, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Oct. 11, 1918, in Bolivar, she was the daughter of the late Richard Holmes and Emma Ballenger Rutherford.
She retired from the Corps of Engineers at Bluemont, Va., and Dulles Airport.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia C. Marscher of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Alma Lee Hardy of Bolivar; a son, Ronald "Pete" Lloyd of Ranson, W.Va.; four sisters, Olive Hardy and Mary Rose Fadeley, both of Bolivar, Doris Stotler of Charles Town, W.Va., and Hazel Everhart of Baltimore; a brother, Marcus Rutherford of Bolivar; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Naomi G. Moore; a sister, Corrine Rutherford; and four brothers, Ralph Rutherford, Thomas Rutherford, Robert Rutherford and Gilbert Rutherford.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry. The Rev. Joe Conte will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Lutheran cemetery, Bolivar.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Linda Ann Stump, 49, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998, at her home.
Born Oct. 17, 1948, in Casper, Wyo., she was the daughter of Edward and Patricia Morse Lockwood Sr. of Saratoga, Wyo.
She was employed with the front desk personnel of the Woods Resort, Hedgesville, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Charles D. Stump; a stepdaughter, Kellie Stump of Martinsburg; three sons, Michael Lance Genzler and Daniel Genzler, both of Casper, and Thomas Edward Genzler of Sinclair, Wyo.; a brother, Edward Lockwood Jr. of Fargo, N.D.; and a nephew.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Hennis Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery, Berkeley Springs.

George W. Kilmer Jr.
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - George William Kilmer Jr., 75, of Hedgesville, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at his home.
Born Jan. 31, 1923, in Hedgesville, he was the son of the late George William and Odette Beall Kilmer Sr.
He was a 1940 graduate of Hedgesville High School and attended Potomac State College and the University of Maryland.
He was an auto mechanics instructor at the Careers Study Center in Hagerstown, retiring in 1984. He was a substitute teacher at James Rumsey from 1984 to 1988; and was employed by Railway Express.
He owned and operated Wilson Street Confectionery in the late 1950s. He operated Hedgesville Texaco in the early 1960s.
He attended Tomahawk Christian Church, was a past Sunday school teacher, superintendent, trustee and deacon.
He was an honorary life member and past president of Tomahawk Ruritan Club; honorary life member and past volunteer of Hedgesville Fire Co.; and a member of Back Creek Valley Senior Satellite.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Louise Hoke Kilmer, whom he married May 11, 1942; three daughters, Joyce Ann Kilmer of Brunswick, Md., Julia Odette Kidwell of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Faith Kilmer Hall of Hedgesville; two sons, Charles R. Kilmer of Charleston, W.Va., and Ronald C. Kilmer of Dallas; a sister, Ellen Kilmer Chiarelli of Erie, Pa.; two brothers, Robert D. Kilmer of Hedgesville and Richard Kilmer of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Boyd H. Kilmer; a granddaughter, Samantha Reilley; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be Saturday at noon at Tomahawk Christian Church. The Rev. Jerry Holdman will officiate. Burial will be in Tomahawk cemetery.
