INWOOD, W.Va. - Roger L. Tephabock, 46, of Inwood, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998, at his home.
Born Feb. 16, 1952, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Miles and Mary Jane Newcomer Tephabock.
He was a 1970 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He was employed with Blake Construction of Washington, D.C.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Inwood.
He was a member of Martinsburg Lodge 120, Loyal Order of the Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Lorita Burge Tephabock; two daughters, Angela Tephabock and Crystal Tephabock, both at home; two sons, Shawn Tephabock and Kenney Tephabock, both of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and two sisters, Sally Ann Shade and Patsy Tephabock, both of Martinsburg.
Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Devin B. Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Julius W. Powell
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Julius W. "Jack" Powell, 53, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, in Washington County.
Born June 15, 1945, in Hampton, Va., he was the son of the late Jimmy McCoy Powell and Mildred Virginia Morris Powell.
He was manager of Fleming Oil Station in Hancock.
He is survived by his companion of 22 years, Emilie Marie Murphy of Berkeley Springs; a daughter, Danette Powell of Richmond, Va.; a son, Clay Powell of Susan, Va.; a brother, Tommy Powell of Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Owen B. Womack will officiate.
Burial will be in Union Chapel United Methodist cemetery, Berkeley Springs.
Viewing will be at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Helen F. Parker
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Helen Fritts Brengle Parker, 64, of Charles Town, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998, at House of Ujima Home for the Elderly, Bunker Hill, W.Va.
Born Nov. 22, 1933, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late Harold Leonard and Josephine Hester Hazlett Fritts.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Ellsworth Brengle Jr., and her second husband, Knighten Matthews Parker.
She was a retired manager of Charles Towers Apartments Complex at Charles Town.
She was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church at Charles Town.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Harrison of Tuscawilla Hills, W.Va., and Deborah Wright of Frederick, Md.; a brother, Clarence Nelson Fritts Sr. of Tuscawilla Hills; two granddaughters; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles L. Fritts.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Curtis W. Divelbliss
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Curtis William Divelbliss, 79, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, at his home.
Born July 14, 1919, in Hancock, he was the son of the late Joseph McCullen and Carrie Alice Diehl Divelbliss.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna E. Divelbliss, in 1994.
He attended public schools in Fulton County, Pa.
He and his first wife operated Ball's Grocery Store in Great Cacapon, W.Va. He worked with the West Virginia Department of Highways and then as an interstate truck driver. From the early 1980s until his retirement in 1996, he worked for Pittman's IGA Market in Hancock.
He was a member of Berkeley Springs Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife, Marian D. Divelbliss; three sons, Leonard F. Harbaugh of Bunker Hill, W.Va., Donald E. Harbaugh of York, Pa., and Raymond N. Harbaugh of Titusville, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Betty L. Smelser of Great Cacapon; three stepsons, Irvin A. Hutchinson of Beckley, W.Va., Kenneth W. Hutchinson of Great Cacapon and Roger K. Hutchinson of Berkeley Springs; four sisters, Mary Smith of Bedford, Pa., Ruth Stotler of Hancock, Hazel McCusker of Hagerstown and Shirley Divelbliss of Hancock; three brothers, Herbert Divelbliss of Crystal Springs, Pa., Joseph Divelbliss and Charles Divelbliss, both of Hancock; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia M. Divelbliss; two sisters, Edna Hull and Ethel Dively; and two brothers, Harold Divelbliss and Thurman Divelbliss.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Berkeley Springs Church of the Nazarene, 915 Harrison Ave., Berkeley Springs. Pastor Rodney Truax will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Nebo cemetery, Great Cacapon.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs; and Saturday one hour prior to the servics at the church. The funeral home will be open today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Donald Eugene Miller, 70, a resident at Senior Towers Apartments, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born Feb. 11, 1928, in Charles Town, W.Va., he was the son of the late Russell Carl and Myrtle Catherine Mills Miller Sr.
He attended Charles Town High School.
He had been employed as a printer for Miller Printing Co., Charles Town.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served for 15 years, during World War II and the Korean War.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He was a member of Jackson-Perks American Legion Post 71, Charles Town; VFW Post 9760, Berryville, Va.; and a life member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 948, Charles Town.
He is survived by his former wife, Christine C. Miller of Ranson, W.Va.; two daughters, Linda K. Miller of Ranson and Donna Jean Ashbaugh of Charles Town; two sons, Donald E. "Dee" Miller Jr. and Michael Allen Miller, both of Ranson; a sister, Betty Miller Wakeman of Woodstock, Va.; a brother, Russell C. Miller Jr. of Charles Town; six grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. William Everhart will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Mary Myrtle Swink, 88, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born March 21, 1910, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Underwood and Martha Irene Henry Hovermale.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Elwood Bernhard, in 1946.
She attended Valley School in Berkeley Springs.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Richard "Rick" Swink; four daughters, Glenna I. Bowers, Portia M. Henry and Janet M. Newby, all of Berkeley Springs, and H. Berniece Stotler of Vienna, Va.; three sons, Jacob W. Bernhard of Great Cacapon, W.Va., Raymond S. Bernhard and Mark W. Swink, both of Berkeley Springs; seven sisters, Jessie Wilson, Fern Stotler, Rebecca Stotler, Nettie Stotler and Flossie Claypool, all of Berkeley Springs, Rella Hobday of Largent, W.Va., and Chlorous Little of Hancock; 19 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alta M. Bernhard; two sons, Robert C. Swink and Richard Lewis Swink; three sisters, Estella Teach, Mae Harris and Leslie Hall; three brothers, Charles Hovermale, Harvey Hovermale and Millard Hovermale; and a grandson.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, U.S. 522 South, Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Mary Gebe Stevens and Pastor Lee Prock will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.

Ronald W. Funk
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Ronald W. Funk, 49, of 477 E. Burke St., died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born Oct. 4, 1948, he was the son of Regina M. Funk Williams of Martinsburg and the late William A. Funk.
He was a member of the VFW Honor Guard at Post 896, Martinsburg.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four sisters, Joy C. Pagilivca of West Haven, Conn., Carolyn G. Funk of Grove City, Pa., Janice K. Rowand of Martinsburg and Johnna M. Thompson of Ellwood City, Pa.; two brothers, William D. Funk of Martinsburg and Larry F. Funk of Jackson Center, Pa.; five nieces; and six nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Edward Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Patricia C. Leonard, 58, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Nov. 26, 1939, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur W. and Audrey D. Frye Costello.
She was a 1957 graduate of Martinsburg High School; and a 1960 graduate of Winchester Hospital School of Nurses.
She was an instructor in the Education Department at City Hospital.
She was a member of Winchester Avenue Christian Church, and served as a deaconess.
She was a member of American Nurses Association; District 6 Nurses Association; American Heart Association; Regional Faculty for Basic Life Support; American Heart Association; and Professional Advisory Committee for Panhandle Home Health.
She is survived by her husband, Garrie E. Leonard; a stepson, John D. Leonard of Martinsburg; and a brother, Charles W. Costello of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Brian Keith Leonard.
Services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Douglas J. Hollida and the Rev. Walter Bowers will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Nurses Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m.
