Adeline (Trudy) Stafford
FANROCK -- Adeline (Trudy) Stafford, 64, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, in a Beckley hospital following a sudden illness.
Born Nov. 24, 1934, at Prosperity, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Helen Nagy Spoltore.
Mrs. Stafford was a homemaker and had attended the Church of God. She had resided at Heartland of Beckley for the past 11 years, where she lived a happy life.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Ann Stafford and a sister, Maryanna Massey.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Harry L. Stafford Sr.; three sons, Harry L. Stafford Jr. of Ghent, Cecil L. Stafford of Oceana, and David F. Stafford of Pineville; a daughter, Tammy Margaret Stafford of Salem, Va.; two sisters, Sylvia Enz of Cleveland, Ohio, and Sandy Katz of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Heath, Chelsea, Courtney, Megan, Caleb and Tyler Stafford.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Timmy Brewster and Norman Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan cemetery at Indian Creek.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Pineville.

Kelly Wayne
CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Kelly Wayne, 87, formerly of Richwood, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood. Friends may call noon until time of the services Saturday at the funeral home.

Opha D. Brown
HILLTOP -- Opha Delora Brown, 81, formerly of the Pettry Bottom Section of Sundial, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, in an Oak Hill hospital following a long illness.
Born June 15, 1917, at Harper, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Verna Daniel Pettry.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Pettry Bottom Holiness Church at Sundial.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brown; a daughter, Orpha Milam; two sisters, Cleo Taylor and Edna Pettry; and two brothers, Kenneth and Clifton Pettry.
Survivors include three daughters, Louella Jones of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lora Bartrum and Verna Casino, both of Dry Creek; two sons, Charles Brown of Dry Creek and Bobby Brown of Pettry Bottom; 20 grandchildren, and 41 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Miller cemetery, Rock Creek, with the Rev. Glen Dickens officiating. Burial will follow in Miller cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

Eugene A. Butler
FAIRLEA -- Eugene Allen Butler, 31, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Longanacre Funeral Home Chapel, Fairlea. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Donations of sympathy may be made to American Heart Association, 1319 Quarrier Street, Charleston, W.Va. 25301.

Reo Campbell
Reo Campbell, 77, of Quincy Drive, Beckley, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.
Born June 4, 1921, at Crab Orchard, he was the son of the late James A. and Della Mae Snuffer Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was former co-owner of the 3-C Coal Company and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1942 to 1945, he was awarded the Good Conduct medal, the American Theater Service Ribbon and the World War II Victory Ribbon.
He was a member of Channel 35 CB'ers Club and Memorial Baptist Church and a former member of Mabscott Eagles.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Snuffer, Virginia Pennington Langford and Hazel Jarrett; three brothers, Basil Campbell, Weldon Campbell, and James Campbell; his former wife, Isabell Campbell; and a son, Glen Campbell.
Survivors include his wife of 25 1/2 years, Blanche Covey Campbell; a son, Gary Campbell of Hemingway, S.C.; a daughter, Sherri Campbell Harless of Dawson; two sisters, Ruby Webb of Crab Orchard, and Helen Moody Romicki of Willards, Md.; two stepdaughters, Carol Jewell of Statesville, N.C., and Linda Allen of Hurricane; four grandchildren, Stefanie Allen, Chase Allen, Theresa Ballard and Tara Greenfield; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Melton Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Paul Blizzard officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends mayc all 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bunny Campbell, James Campbell, Daniel Cook, Bill Kennedy, Richard Rhodes, and John Earl Tolbert.
Honorary pallbearers will be CB members of Channel 35.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund of Memorial Baptist Church, 1405 South Kanawha St., Beckley.

Gertrude B. Clark
Gertrude B. Clark, 86, of Harper Heights, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.
Born Jan. 22, 1912, in Kerrville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Dock and Eunice Johnson Oliver.
Mrs. Clark was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Harper Heights, member of the Missionary Society, was former financial secretary and Sunday School teacher and also sang in the church choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Clark on Oct. 8, 1997; a daughter, Doris Clark; and two sisters.
Survivors include a son, Thomas CLark Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Cambria Heights, N.Y.; two daughters, Johnsie Crete and her husband, Basil, of Capitol Heights, Md., and Sandra Clark of Harper Heights; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Etta Saxton of Beckley; and a brother, Ernest Oliver of Harper Heights.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Baptist Church, Harper Heights, with the Rev. Thomas V. Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends may call one hour before the services Sunday at the church.

Eugene M. Collins
CRAIGSVILLE -- Eugene Mark "Little Gene" Collins, 25, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Cottle Church of God, Cottle. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Goldie Reed Coulter
CRAIG -- Goldie Reed Coulter, 91, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, in a Fairlea hospital following a long illness.
Born March 4, 1907, in Tucker County, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Della Wolford Reed.
Mrs. Coulter was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Baptist Church of Rainelle.
She was preceded in death by a son, Herbert.
Survivors include three daughters, Marjorie Kennedy of Bronxville, N.Y., Ardena Ashcraft of Findley, Ohio, and Ermalea Paglia of Armonk, N.Y.; three sons, Calvin of Rainelle, Norman of Dawson, and James of Findley, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Milem of Crawley.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Smathers Funeral Home Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastors Joe Collins and Larry Sovine officiating. Burial will follow in Martin cemetery, Craig.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Smathers Funeral Home Chapel.

William M. Martin
MOUNT HOPE -- William Meredith Martin, 76, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at his home following a short illness.
Born May 24, 1922, at Cora in Logan County, he was the son of the late Verner L. and Zelma Feazelle Martin.
Mr. Martin was retired from the Hoover Company. He was a 60 plus year member of the Mount Hope United Methodist Church.
Among Mr. Martin's life long accomplishments were that he was founder of White Oak Dairy, served three terms on the Mount Hope City Council, was chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Mount Hope Housing Authority, and past member of the Board of Directors for the Snyder Trust. For many years Mr. Martin was "The Voices" of the mount Hope Mustangs football team. He was a 50 year member, two time President and head of the Sight Conservation Fund of the Mount Hope Lions Club and past Deputy District Governor of the Lions.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty Alexander Martin; two sons, Michael A. Martin and his wife, Nancy, of Mount Hope, and Bob Martin and his wife, SHaron, of Barboursville; two brothers, Edward Martin and his wife, Jewell, of Mount Hope, and Robert Martin and his wife, Sue, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; two sisters, Peggy Dorsey of Mount Hope, and Patricia Parker and her husband, Mal, of Mount Hope; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mount Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Elbert Perkins officiating, and an eulogy by Norville Ellison.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sight Conservation Fund, Mount Hope Lions, 1 Lions Drive, Mount Hope, W.Va. 25880.

Danny W. Maynor
Danny Wayne Maynor, 48, of Sand Branch Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.
Born Dec. 9, 1949, at Sand Branch Road, he was the son of Sylvia Williams Maynor of Sand Branch Road, and the late Eldred Maynor.
Mr. Maynor was a coal miner, a member of Pax Branch Baptist Church, the UMWA Local Union 1961, a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict, and was a former employee of Maple Meadow Mining with 21 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Rebecca Sowder Maynor of Sand Branch Road; two sons, Charles Dale Maynor and Terry Wayne Maynor, both of Sand Branch Road; a brother, Dale Maynor of Sand Branch Road; a sister, Margaret Davis of Maple Fork; and a grandson, Evan Luke Maynor of Sand Branch Road.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with Pastor Sam Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends called 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Mason, Thomas Gwinn, Thomas Gwinn Jr., Ronald Davis, Randolph Sowder and Kelly Davis.

Ruth Sprague
RICHWOOD -- Ruth Sprague, 88, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Richwood cemetery.

Granville R. Stokley
AFTON, Va. -- Granville Ray Stokley, 56, formerly of Winona, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998.
By his request, the body was cremated and funeral arrangements are private.
Friends may call 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at his home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1290 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, Va. 22901.
