JUSTICE - Everett Justice, 74, died Friday, May 7, 1999, in a Man hospital following a long illness.
Born July 25, 1924, in Justice, he was the son of the late Robert and Dellie Cline Justice.
Mr. Justice was a retired coal miner, a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and a member of North Spring Independent Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Madge Harris Justice; a daughter, Elizabeth ³Beth² Thompson of Gilbert; two sons, Gordon Jusatice of North Spring and Gary Justice of Justice; a brother, Clarence Justice of Hanover; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at North Spring Independent Baptist Church with the Revs. Jackie Lester, Sherwood Queen and Jim Nagy officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson cemetery, Justice.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by Sandy River American Legion Post No. 175 of Bradshaw.
Friends may call 5 to 10 p.m. today at the church.

James D. Kincaid
BUCKHANNON - James Daniel Kincaid, 83, formerly of Kincaid and Chicago, died Friday, May 7, 1999, in a Buckhannon hospital following a short illness.
Born Dec. 9, 1915, in Kincaid, he was the son of the late Phillip and Katie Arrington Kincaid.
Mr. Kincaid was a retired machinist for J.J. Tourek in Chicago and a member of the AFL-CIO in Chicago.
Survivors include two sons, Robert J . Kincaid of Buckhannon and Daniel Phillip Kincaid of Mobile, Ala.; two daughters, Connie Connon of Deltona, Fla., and Linda Files of Detroit; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Betty Lusk officiating. The body will be cremated following the services. Interment will follow in Kincaid cemetery.

Elizabeth P. Ratcliff
HINTON - Elizabeth Pearl Mays Ratcliff, 76, died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 1999, in a Hinton hospital following a long illness.
Born Feb. 5, 1923, in Comfort, she was the daughter of the late William Cleveland and Belva Brown Mays.
Mrs. Ratcliff had been a resident of Hinton for the past 26 years and had lived most of her life in Fayette County.
She was a charter member of Hinton Church of God and was a retired employee of the Summers County Board of Education, where she worked as a cook at Riverview and Hinton Area elementary schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ratcliff; four brothers, Lionel Lee, Cecil, Estel and Joshua Mays; and a sister, Annie Mays Painter.
Survivors include a son, Franklin Delano Farrell and his wife, Ann, of Nimitz; five grandchildren, Rebecca Farrell Pack and her husband, Cletis, of Hinton, Franklin Farrell Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Oak Hill, Gregory Farrell and his wife, Cyndi, of Crab Orchard, Jacqueline Farrell Steele of Charlotte, N.C., and Scott Farrell, with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, Calif.; six great-grandchildren, Susan and Alan Pack, Weston Toney, Brittany and Samantha Farrell, and Morgan Farrell.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, Hinton, with Pastor Cecil Welch and the Revs. Frank Meadows and Rudell Bloomfield officiating. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill.

JUMPING BRANCH - Willie Garnet Stanley, 94, died Thursday, May 6, 1999, in a Hinton hospital.
Born March 20, 1905, at Mount View, she was the daughter of the late William Lewis Basham and Rebecca Lilly Basham.
Mrs. Stanley was a homemaker and a member of Primitive Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Jumping Branch for 10 years and was a lifelong resident of Summers County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Stanley; two brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include two sons, James Freddie Stanley of Hinton and Roy Dolphus Stanley and his wife, Donna, of Huntington; a daughter, Rose Conner of Jumping Branch; a brother, Mack Basham of Cool Ridge; two sisters, Zanzie Cole of Mount View and Elizabeth Lester of Daniels; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Rose and Quesenberry Shady Spring Chapel with the Rev. Elmo Alderman officiating. Burial will follow in Mount View cemetery, Cool Ridge.

Born on Dec. 23, 1922, in Peterstown, he was the son of the late Annie Craig and James W. Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was a self-employed contractor and a member of Free Will Baptist Church, Huntington.
He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

Mr. Cassity was a retired coal miner, a member of Sunset Hills Missionary Baptist Church and UMWA Local No. 5995, and he also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Lela Bennett, Jewell Cassity, Vesta Wickline and Marceline Tabor; and 11 brothers, Millard, Arthur, Dirus, Cletus, Charlie, Eddie, Robert, James, Hobert, Allie and Kenneth Cassity.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Mae Elliott Cassity of Coal City; a son, Michael Cassity of Franklin, Tenn.; three daughters, Sparkle Greco of Beckley, Mary Hall of Crab Orchard and Drema Davis of Beckley; a sister, Louise Shekell of Berkley, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
