Eugene V. Redden Sr.
MEADOW BRIDGE Eugene V. Redden Sr., 78, formerly of True, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, in Columbus, Ohio.
Born Sept. 20, 1921, at Lockbridge, he was the son of the late Harrison B. Redden and Daisy Harrah Redden.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis E. Reed Redden; five brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Redden was a U.S. Army veteran, was retired from Westinghouse in Columbus, Ohio, and was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene V. Redden Jr. and his wife, Ester, of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Stephen A. Redden and his wife, Lisa, of Fisherville, Ky.; two daughters, Darla E. Weske and her husband, Terry, of Oviedo, Fla., and Lois L. Kershaw and her husband, Mark, of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Maxine Lewis of Indiana and Hallie Redden of Indiana; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Home Chapel of Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Revs. Kerry Jack Reed and Jim Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home.

Richard Richmond
Richard Richmond, 43, of Blue Jay, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, in a Beckley hospital following a short illness.
Born Jan. 1, 1956, at Beckley, he was the son of Inez Pigg-Richmond of Blue Jay and the late William H. Richmond.
Mr. Richmond was an auto mechanic and painter and a member of the White Oak Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Smith.
Other survivors include two brothers, William H. Richmond and wife, Glenna, of Shady Spring, and Danny Ray Richmond and wife, Drema, of Blue Jay; a sister, Linda Nicklas and her husband, Jim, of Beaver; and nine nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Allen Johnson and Daymond Snuffer officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

Helen Anderson, 86, of Daniels, formerly of Indiana, Pa., died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at a Beckley hospital.
Born April 9, 1913, in Nicktown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Wolf Steinbiser.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Beckley.
She enjoyed handwork and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Leah Wellman and her husband, Travis, of Daniels, and Lucille Cranston of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; six grandchildren, Rena, Travis, Lori, Jeffrey, John, and Jennifer; three great-grandchildren, Colin, Bailey, and Christopher; and a sister, Mae Anderson of St. Mary's, Pa.

Joseph H. Bennett
HINTON Joseph Henry Bennett, 46, of 1418 Greenbrier Dr., died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, in a Roanoke, Va., hospital following a long illness.
Born March 29, 1953, in Hinton, he was the son of Etta Richmond Bennett of Beckley, and the late Daniel W. Bennett.
Mr. Bennett was a conductor for the CSX Transportation Corporation with 19 years of service. He was a member of the United Transportation Union, and the Hinton Moose Lodge. He was also a member of Ascension Episcopal Church in Hinton, and a lifelong resident of Summers County.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother who reared him, Addie R. Bennett.
Other survivors include his wife, Shelby Martin Bennett; a son, Thomas; a daughter, Kara Bennett; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Johnson and Susan Hicks, both of Morgantown; a brother, Robert E. Bennett and wife, Loue Ann, of Hinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, with the Revs. Herb Ellison and Chris Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens, Hinton.

MEADOW BRIDGE Stanley Clarence Burdette, 52, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at his home following a long illness.
Born April 21, 1947, in Rainelle, he was the son of Lucille and Clarence H. Burdette of Meadow Bridge.
Mr. Burdette was a disabled railroad engineer, an 11-year resident of Meadow Bridge and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth A. Finlen Burdette, of Meadow Bridge; two sons, Mickey S. Burdette and Mark Burdette, both of Meadow Bridge; two sisters, Sandy Fox and husband, Doug, of Meadow Bridge, and Shelba Cook and husband, Earl, of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Haley and Taylor Burdette.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, Rainelle, with the Revs. Clay O'Dell and Sam O. Cale IV officiating. Burial will follow in the Wickline cemetery, Meadow Bridge.
