Sabastian J. Forrester

Sabastian Jucoewa Forrester, 23, of Crab Orchard, formerly of McHenry, Ill., died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at a Charleston hospital following injuries received in an automobile accident.

Born Aug. 31, 1976, in Woodstock, Ill., he was the son of Phyllis Marie Daniels Forrester of Crab Orchard and the late Ray Forrester Jr.

Mr. Forrester was employed by VOCA.

He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Forrester Sr.

Other survivors include a brother, Shane Forrester of Illinois; his paternal grandmother, Millie Reed of Illinois; his maternal grandparents, the Rev. Charles Daniels and Naomi Daniels of MacArthur; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Mount Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, Crab Orchard, with the Revs. Charles Daniels and Jessie Adkins officiating.

Friends may call one hour before services Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to Phyllis Forrester, P.O. Box 200, Crab Orchard, WV 25827 in memory of Sabastian.

Beulah L. Lackey

SMOOT - Beulah L. Lackey, 88, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, Rainelle. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Sylvia Maynor

Sylvia Maynor, 81, of Sand Branch Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at her residence following a short illness.

George Niday III

BARRETT - George Burke "Punkin" Niday III, 36, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lucille Roberts

GLOVER - Lucille Roberts, 81, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, in a Welch hospital following a short illness.

Born March 23, 1919, in Mohegan, she was the daughter of the late William Arvid and Elizabeth Lester England.

Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and had lived in Wyoming County since 1940.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey T. Roberts, in 1983; and two sons, William Arvid and Danny Darvin Roberts.

Survivors include four sons, Rabon T. Roberts of Pineville, Selby Darrell and his wife, Linda, of Floyd, Va., and Marvin Roberts and Gary Roberts, both of Glover; three daughters, Marie Brewster of Princeton, Bonnie Compton and her husband, Lester, of Marianna and Dorcus Shaffer and her husband, James, of Bolt; 24 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Roberts-Stewart cemetery, Windom Road, with the Rev. Ernest Francis officiating.

Friends may meet with Mrs. Roberts' family at 3 p.m. Thursday at Calfee Funeral Service, Pineville. A procession to the cemetery will follow.

Elbert J. Robinson

PETERSTOWN - Elbert J. Robinson, 77, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

William St. Jacques

ROCKY MOUNT, Va. - William Lewis "Bill" St. Jacques, 36, of North Carolina, went to be with the Lord in May 1988.

Born March 16, 1952, in Pickaway, he was the son of the late Robert V. St. Jacques.

Survivors include his mother, Hazel R. St. Jacques of Wirtz, Va.; a daughter, Mandi Underwood of Rocky Mount; three sons, Matthew St. Jacques, Perry St. Jacques and Terry St. Jacques, all of Rocky Mount; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Glenn Rutrough of Wirtz and Roberta and C.L. Reece of Peterstown; a brother, Bob St. Jacques of Rocky Mount; a stepbrother, Steve St. Jacques of Roanoke, Va.; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Sinks Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call 1 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the church.

Derek Lee Worley

Derek Lee Worley, 20, of Daniels, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, in Charleston as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Born April 19, 1980, in Beckley, he was the son of Gary and Tammy Meador Worley of Daniels.

Derek was last employed by Somar Telemarketing and had attended Greater Beckley Christian School and Woodrow Wilson High School. He attended Calvary Assembly of God.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Edith Meador.

Other survivors include a brother, Jordan Worley at home; his paternal grandparents, Denny and Rosalie Worley of Daniels; his godparents, Jim and Teresa Hart of Daniels; and several aunts and uncles.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Assembly of God, 319 Sunset Drive, Beckley, with Pastor John Jordan and the Rev. Dan Holstein officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church and one hour before services Thursday.

Friends and family members will serve as pallbearers, Sam Sanna, Jason Weeks, Joe Whittaker, Jason Barton, Daniel Worley and Timmy Boggs.

KEATLEY SPRINGS - Ursley D. Burdette, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at Heartland of Beckley after a short illness.

PAGE - Buddy J. Cobb, 65, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000.

Margaret B. Coldiron

Margaret Mary Bolash Coldiron, 82, of Westline Dr., Beckley, formerly of Eccles, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.

Born Feb. 22, 1918, in High Coal, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Bero Bolash.

Mrs. Coldiron spent her childhood at Sun and Eccles. She was a 60-year resident of Eccles coming to Beckley in 1980. She was of the Christian faith.

She will be remembered by her children as a devoted and hard working mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph T. Coldiron, who died at an early age in a mining accident at Eccles. A grandson, Stephen Matthew Weeks and three brothers, Johnny, Andrew, and Frank Bolash also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Coldiron of Ocala, Fla.; three daughters, Betty June Gall and her husband, Louie, of Beckley, Janet Peyton of Fredericksburg, Va., and Sue Weeks and her husband, Bernard, of Bradley; a brother, Louis Bolash of Rhode Island; a sister, Rosie Lawson of Eccles; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Melton Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Paul Blizard officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour before the services Saturday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Dorse D. Dillon

HILLDALE - Dorse Douglas Dillon, 55, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, near Custer, S.C., due to an airplane accident.

Born Feb. 2, 1945, in Talcott, he was the son of Gertrude Allen Dillon Miller of Pence Springs and the late Charles L. Dillon.

Mr. Dillon was a locomotive engineer with CSX Corp., and a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Central Baptist Church in Hinton, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Hinton Masonic Lodge and the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, Becky Payne Dillon; a son, Darren Dillon of Huntington; a daughter, Kelly Briers and husband, Greg, of Huntington; stepfather, Harold Miller of Pence Springs; three brothers, John W. "Bill" Dillon and wife, Becky, of Hilldale, Dale Dillon and wife, Cheryl, of Talcott, and Charles Dillon of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; three sisters, Donna Wykle and husband, Ellery, of Talcott, Clara Lou Graham and husband, Jimmy, of Clayton, and Jo Ann Boyd and husband, Billy, of Mount Hope; and two grandchildren, Grant and Delaney Briers.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, with the Rev. Glen Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Burial Park, Hinton.

Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The Hinton Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers and conduct graveside rites.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the D.D. Dillon Aviation Scholarship Fund, c/o the First Century Bank in Hinton.
