HINTON - Gladys B. Fox, 64, of 1016 Terrace St., died 6:04 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, in CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, following a short illness.
Born April 25, 1936, at Tommy Creek, she was the daughter of the late Simon P. and Lillie Mae Simmons Bennett.
Mrs. Fox was an employee of Fox Photographics, and FoxPrint, Inc., in Hinton. She was a 52-year member of the Bellepoint Baptist Church at Hinton and had lived most of her life in Hinton.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Erskine and Arnold Bennett; two sisters, Reva Smith and Cleo Overbay; and a nephew whom she raised, Richard E. Bennett.
Survivors include her husband, whom she was happily married 461Ž2 years, Douglas H. Fox; a son, Larry Fox and his wife, Kathy, of Hinton; a daughter, Mrs. Farrell (Susie) Adkins of Princeton; two brothers, Billy Bennett and his wife, Betty, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Simon P. Bennett Jr. and his wife, Edith, of Wayne; a sister, Juanita Sneed of Rhodell; two grandchildren, Farrell Christopher Adkins, a student at West Virginia Wesleyan College, and Nicholas E. Adkins, a student at Concord College.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bellepoint Baptist Church, Hinton, with Pastor Chris Brown and the Rev. Bruce Creswell officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenbrier Burial Park Mausoleum, Hinton.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Robbie and R.W. Turner, Jason Gore, Roy Carter, Dickie Cook and Butch Woodrum.

Omer 'Hoot' Gibson
PRINCETON, Ind. - Omer A. "Hoot" Gibson, 85, formerly of Beckley, died 11 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, in Gibson General Hospital, Princeton, Ind.
Mr. Gibson was a retired coal miner and had been a resident of Princeton, Ind., since August 2000, coming from Beckley.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1606 of Beckley and the UMWA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Marie (Meade) Gibson.
Survivors include three daughters, Delores Lee Lester of Lester, Carol Jean Wriston of Bluefield, W.Va., and Linda S. Settle of Princeton, Ind.; four grandchildren, Donna Watson, Teresa Wriston, Ronnie Allen Wriston and Sean Settle; six great-grandchildren; and a halfsister, Virginia Short of Franklin, Ohio.
Graveside service will be noon Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, with the Rev. Tony Reed officiating.
There will be no visitation.

Boyd Graham
HERNDON - Boyd Graham, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, in a Princeton hospital.
Born April 28, 1925, at Basin, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Graham and Martha Ann McKinney Graham.
Mr. Graham was retired from N&W Railroad, where he was employed as a brakeman and was a member of the United Transit Unit Union. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II, where he recieved the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Garwood Church of God at Garwood.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby I. Eastridge Graham, in 1998; a brother, Noah Graham; and a sister, Meda Shrewsbury.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Lentz and husband, Mike, of Cottage Grove, Minn., Linda Graham of Mullens and Connie Thompson and husband, Jody, of Bluefield; a son, David Graham and wife, Shelby, of Princeton; two sisters, Thelma Reece of Beckley and Haley Whitt of Roanoke, Va.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Charles Bullins officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park, Princeton.

Charles Gruenberg
OAK HILL - Charles Gruenberg, 88, formerly of Glen White, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, following a long illness.
Born Nov. 29, 1912, at Clifftop, he was the son of the late Allen Gruenberg and Bertha Gruenberg.
Mr. Gruenberg was a member of Fellowship Memorial Baptist and the UMWA. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in World War II.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Armstrong Gruenberg of Oak Hill; two brothers, one living in California, and Raymond Gruenberg of Virginia.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

Robert J. Haston
RONCEVERTE - Robert John Haston, 76, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, in Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor, Va., after a short illness.
Born June 5, 1924, at Ronceverte, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Ida Griffith Haston.
Mr. Haston was a lifelong resident of Organ Cave, a member of the Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church of Organ Cave, where he was treasurer for more than 40 yeears, member of the United Methodist Men, member of the Organ Cave Ruritan Club, was a retired postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service and after retirement worked for the Greenbrier County Assessor's Office as field assessor and was a faithful election worker.
Survivors include his wife, Velva Haston of Ronceverte; two daughters, Yvonne Sutherland and husband, Phil, of Hurricane, and Jean Brewer and husband, Pete, of Red House; a son, Bill Handley and wife, Karen, of Ronceverte; nine grandchildren, Misty Fleck, Bryan Morris, David Morris, Leslie Allen, Lee Dillon, Diana Bryan, Bobby Bryan, C.J. Handley and Shelby Handley; and eight great-grandchildren, Gary Drewayne Fleck, Tyler Allen, Levi Morris, Katie Allen, Courtney Allen, Nikki Bruns, Austin Morris and Eddie Adkins.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church, Organ Cave, with the Rev. Mike Estep officiating. Burial will follow in the Elizabeth Chapel cemetery, Organ Cave.

Ray Jenkins
PINEVILLE - Ray Jenkins, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at his residence following a long illness.
Born Aug. 13, 1919, at Bomont, he was the son of the late Ira and Ollie Shafer Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was a disabled coal miner having last worked for Consolidated Coal Company, Itmann. He was a member of the Pineville Church of the Nazarene and a resident of Pineville since 1952.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna G. Jenkins, in May 1998; a grandson, Wesley Ray Jenkins; four brothers, and four sisters, one of which was his twin.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Jenkins and his wife, Vivian, of Princeton, and Bobby R. Jenkins and his wife, Lillian, of Pineville; two daughters, Barbara Phillips and her husband, Jim, of Pineville, and Betty England and her husband, Woody, also of Pineville; two sisters, Pearl Ray and husband, Jack, of Pocatalico, and Alta Samples of Procious; special caregivers, Bobbie Day, Barbara England, and Linda Stewart; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Pineville Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. Franklin Goff and Donald Lohr officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

Herman D. Martin
Herman D. Martin, 83, of Slab Fork, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at Sunbridge Pine Lodge Extended Care Center.
Born Feb. 23, 1917, at Slab Fork, he was the son of the late Frank and Carrie Branch Martin.
Mr. Martin was a retired butcher and assistant store manager for Slab Fork Coal Co. Store.
He was a 1936 graduate of Mark Twain High School, had been a resident of Slab Fork all his life, and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lois Ring, Ruby Moye, and Mildred Hurlocker.
Survivors incude his wife, Mildred Lane Martin; two sons, Franklin Martin and his wife, Dawn, of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Warren Martin of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Janice Neal of Winston-Salem, and Vickie Pachuta and husband, John, of Maxwell Hill, Beckley; two sisters, Pauline Murphy of Winston-Salem, and Freda Eller of Hanahan, S.C.; grandchildren, Jodi Manuel, Jay Neal, Laura Pachuta and Christopher Martin; and great-grandchildren, Keegan Neal and Aaron Manuel.
Service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with Elder Charles Browning and Elder Jerry McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
