MINDEN — Nancy Marie Stallone, 44, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley from injuries received in an automobile accident on Route 19 at Bradley.
Estil R. Taylor
PETERSTOWN — On Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, Estil R. Taylor, 82, of Peterstown “left this old world” and was tenderly carried by the angels to his heavenly home.
Estil was born March 5, 1924. He was the son of the late Lannie and Ollie Barnhart Taylor, who both passed away when he was only eight months old. He was preceded in death by his caring foster parents, A.Y. and Laura Mitchell Dowdy; son-in-law, Ronald Dalton; and a sister.
Estil was educated in Monroe County and served in the U.S. Army as a marksman in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was employed with Celanese Corp. for 40 years as a controller and retired in 1986. He was a past member of the American Legion of Ronceverte, the I.O.F. No. 362 Lodge of Lindside for 50 years and was a past noble grand. He was a member of Rock Camp Baptist Church for over 50 years. Estil enjoyed hunting, fishing in his younger years. He was a dedicated WVU, ECU and Atlanta Braves fan, and loved watching NASCAR with his daughter, Nancy. Above all else his family was the most important thing in his life.
Estil is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irma Wickline Taylor; two daughters, Nancy Taylor of Peterstown and Kathy Taylor White and husband, David, of Greenville, N.C.; grandchildren, Chris and wife, Tiffany Dalton, and Melania Dalton and fiancé, Todd Keffer, all of Peterstown, and Justin Taylor White and Laura Elizabeth White, both of Greenville, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Jena Alise Dalton, Estella Mazzy-Rae Keffer and baby boy due in March; and an aunt, Mildred Taylor of Willow Grove, Pa.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wickline Funeral Home, Lindside, with Pastors Paul Broyles and Jack Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Peterstown cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Ruth Mandy Martin Williamson, 82, a longtime resident of Beckwith and Fayetteville, passed away Jan. 31, 2007, in Portland.
In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated and there were no services.

Woodrow Yoakum
RUPERT — Woodrow Yoakum, 90, passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a short illness.
Born Feb. 17, 1916, at Rupert, he was the son of the late Cletus and Ada Moses Yoakum.
He was retired from Westmoreland Coal Co. with 41 years of service, was a member of the UMWA and was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Arnold “Champ” and Festus Yoakum; and a sister, Mary Ruffner.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Gilkerson Yoakum; three sons, David R., Morris A. and Chris Yoakum and wife, Rhonda, all of Rupert; two sisters, Blanche Whitlow of McRoss and Betty O’Dell of Beckley; five grandchildren, Tearsa Keatley and husband, Michael, David Yoakum and wife, Leah, Derek, Dylan and Dustin Yoakum, all of Rupert; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Kaitlyn Yoakum, both of Rupert.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Lowell Keeney officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial cemetery, Clintonville.

George Lewis Kincaid Jr.
MEADOW BRIDGE — George Lewis Kincaid Jr., 82, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at his home following a short battle with cancer.
Born on Aug. 5, 1923, at Meadow Bridge, he was the son of the late George Lewis and Eva May Walkup Kincaid Sr.
Mr. Kincaid was a retired boilermaker, a member of Local No. 374 in East Chicago, Ind., and of the Baptist faith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Louise Elkins; two brothers, John Andrew Kincaid and James Garfield Kincaid; and a sister, Minnie Pearl Kincaid.
Survivors include two sisters, Madeline K. Bissett of Greensburg, Pa., and Jessie Cales and husband, Owen, of Meadow Bridge; a stepson, D.K. Elkins and wife, Helen, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Karen Haines and husband, Bill, of New York; four nephews, David L. Williams, Dwayne Cales, Steven Cales and James E. Kincaid; three nieces, Michele Bissett, Medina Baublitz and Brenda Shrout; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Mike Whisman officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Memorial cemetery, Meadow Bridge.

Harold Lee Legg
FINDLAY, Ohio — Harold Lee Legg, 76, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, in Findlay.
Mr. Legg was born Nov. 26, 1928, at Cornstalk, and was the son of the late Lynn Lennox and Dottie Susan (Gilkison) Legg.
Harold was a retired letter carrier. He was a graduate of Williamsburg High School in 1948, served as a mess steward at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., while with the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. He had worked at the M&R Restaurant as a cook from 1955-1958 and had worked at North Baltimore Branch of the U.S. Post Office from 1958-1984.
Mr. Legg held membership in Knights of Pythias Bloomdale Lodge No. 278, North Baltimore American Legion Post No. 539, Findlay Masonic AF and AM Lodge No. 227, Rainelle Moose Lodge No. 1647, Ramadan Temple No. 60 Dokk, North Baltimore OES Morris Chapter No. 265, Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, 32nd Degree Mason, life member of Findlay AMVETS Post No. 21, St. Marks United Methodist Church and Builders Class.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Irene Miller Heaster, whom he married March 8, 1954, and she died May 16, 2002; two brothers, Clarence Fontaine Legg and Carl Clifford Legg; and a stepson, Albert Merl Heaster.
Survivors include a daughter, Harolyn Lee Legg of Findlay; stepdaughter, Mary Virginia Petersen of Deshler, Ohio; stepson, Ralph Wayne Heaster of Findlay; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nephew, Paul Legg; and nieces, Alma Wright and Nora Wooten.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Lewisburg, with the Rev. Lowell Reeder officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial cemetery, Clintonville.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Andre Jackson Nance, 59, formerly of Beckley, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at a Brooklyn hospital following a short illness.
Born Dec. 10, 1946, at Beckley, she was the daughter of Frederick Jackson of Beckley and Virginia Belcher Jackson of Columbia, Md.
Mrs. Nance was a housewife and attended Stratton High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Nance; and a brother, Frederick J. Jackson.
Survivors include her children, Tamara Nance Leiza of Brooklyn, Leonda McDowell of Queens, N.Y., and Kesha Nance of Brooklyn; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Barbara Ann Taylor of Brooklyn, Cecilia Jackson of Cumberland, Md., Revella Jackson Story of Brooklyn, Margaret Jackson Smith of Charlotte, N.C., Rosetta Jackson Mickey of Beckley, Frederick William Jackson Jr. of Cumberland, Val Jackson of Cumberland and John Jackson of Cumberland.

Octavia Hawkins O’Neal
Octavia H. O’Neal, 91, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at Raleigh General Hospital.
Born Aug. 14, 1914, at Sullivan, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Almeda Rebecca Midriff Hawkins.
Mrs. O’Neal was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton E. O’Neal, in 1976; an infant daughter, Hester Ann; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie Thompson and Ethel Keith; and two brothers, Roby Hawkins and Bramlet Hawkins.
Survivors include two sons, Edward O’Neal and wife, Nancy, of Dawson and Marcus O’Neal of Shady Spring, with whom she made her home; six daughters, Hazel Edwards and husband, Wesley II “Junior,” of Terry, Elizabeth “Liz” Gardener and husband, Harley, of Beckley, and Ethel Arthur and husband, Dale, Elsie Bennett and husband, Jimmy, Joyce Hornsby and husband, Jimmie “Chuck,” and Patty Jones, all of Shady Spring; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with the Rev. Frankie Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in Stanaford cemetery.
