Left behind are his wife, Connie Spencer Johnson; six children, Wanda Facemire and husband, Randald, of Stony Creek, Va., Lolita Husketh and husband, Al, of Lenox, Mich., Trina Johnson of Richmond, Va., Robbie Johnson of Michigan, Sherl Johnson and wife, Becky, of Fort Sill, Okla., and Karen Styers and husband, Timothy, of Alaska; three stepchildren, Michael Means of Charleston, Melissa Skiles of Charleston and Stacy Means of Charleston; 22 grandchildren; a brother, Dillard Johnson of Crow; four sisters, Evelyn Lucas of Beaver, Delores Gossit of Branson, Mo., Marilyn Roberts of Hazel Park, Mich., and Dana Richmond of Beaver.
Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with a eulogy by Larry Lucas. Burial will follow in the Pittman cemetery at Crow.

Clara Kate Stegel
OAK HILL — Clara Kate Stegel, 87, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at her home following a long illness.
Born Nov. 26, 1918, at War Ridge, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry B. and Sue Brown Zink.
Clara was the last surviving member of her family. She enjoyed painting and talking on the phone with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry B. and Sue Brown Zink; husband, Jacob Jack Stegel; son, Richard Lee Stegel; daughter, Gloria Jean Bozo; brothers, Jimmy Zink, Harry E. Zink, John Zink, Brainard Zink, Frank Zink; and a sister, Blanche Poundstone.
Survivors include her special and loving grandson, Jeff Bozo and wife, Tabbatha Bozo; her (caregiver) great-grandchild, Gloria Sue Bozo; and son-in-law of 35 years, Elic Bozo Jr. Also surviving are her four nieces and one nephew.
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Ralph Shupe officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mary Starlene Burger
Mary Starlene Burger, 52, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2006, following a sudden illness.
Born Sept. 4, 1953, in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late James T. Reid, and Naomi Wright Reid.
Starlene was a homemaker and a former member of St. Paul Baptist Temple.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Toya Reid; a brother, James T. Reid Jr.; and three grandchildren, Rakara Burger, Caligero Burger and Keyanah Grant.
She leaves to cherish her memory sons, James M. “Slick” Burger and fiancé, Rebecca, of Charlotte, N.C., and Demetrick D. Burger of Beckley; daughters, Shenica D. Farley of Beckley and Lashinna S. Burger of Charlotte; special daughter, Sharmira Reid of Houston, Texas; special grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Kamry N. Wright, Shymeik D. Burger, Qasim T. Burger, Cortez D. Burger, Tevante D. Hoskins, Jenantae L. Burger, Jahiem J. Burger, Lanaezia M. Burger and Camden A. Reese; aunts and uncle, Dr. John and Drema Jones of Houston, Arlena Wright “Penny” Winston of Christiansburg, Va., and Mary Reid of Skelton; and a host of cousins and other relatives.
Service will be 1 p.m. today at St. Paul Baptist Temple with Pastor Walter M. Leach officiating.
The family will receive friends noon until time of service today at the church.
Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
BROOK PARK, Ohio — Carole Jean Woodsom Chambers, 71, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2006.
She was preceded in death by her loving brother-in-law, Michael, in August 2005.
She was a devoted wife of Edward; beloved sister of Larry (Mary Sue) Woodsom, Charles Rodney (deceased) and Jerry Lee (deceased); and cherished aunt to six nieces and four nephews, three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
The family received friends Tuesday in celebration of life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, Brook Park, where service was 7 p.m.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m. Thursday at High Lawn Funeral Chapel, Oak Hill, where services will be 1 p.m. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

Margaret Frances Gillespie
Margaret Frances Gillespie, 87, of Cohen Street, Beckley, died Monday, April 3, 2006, at home following an extended illness.
Born April 3, 1919, at Sprague, she was the daughter of the late George and Ardena McGoskey.
Mrs. Gillespie was a longtime employee of Beckley Mower Service and Blue Roo Consignment Shop.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold P. Gillespie; and her sisters, Wilma Vogt and Anna Mary Zukowski.
Survivors include two daughters, Patty Atterson and her husband, Mike, and Marsha K. Farthing, all of Beckley, a son, Richard E. Gillespie and his wife, Cindy, of Beckley; her granddaughter, Lori Atterson of Valrico, Fla.; her grandsons, Bryan Atterson and Richard Gillespie Jr. and his wife, Tia, of Beckley; two brothers, George E. McGoskey and his wife, Martha, of Ravenswood and Emmett McGoskey of Laughlin, Nev.; a sister, Mille Griffith of Beckley; several nieces and nephews; her special friend, John Sweeney; and numerous friends.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Melton Mortuary Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Delmas Wolfe officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends may call 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
