Sandra Dee Beckett, 49, of 102 Emerald Court, Beckley, died Sunday, May 7, 2006.
She was born in California on Nov. 5, 1956, to Margie A. Gunnoe Stone of Florida and the late Carl E. Stone.
Mrs. Beckett was a homemaker.
Other survivors besides her mother include a son, Samuel R. Houston IV of Beckley; a daughter, Wendie W. Houston of Beckley; a brother, Gene Stone of New York; a sister, Carol Sanbouf of New York; and a grand-child, Jazmyne Starr Dunbar.
Service will be 11 a.m. today at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Robert Day officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends called 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Redden, Darrell Dunbar, Josh Johns, Timmy Johns, Kelly Farrugia and Jason Sells.

Lucille Pritt Blake
Lucille Pritt Blake, 63, of Beckley, passed away Monday, May 8, 2006.
Lucille was the daughter of the late Tuck Pritt and Goldie (Keith) Pritt.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed planting flowers and sewing. Lucille was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a member of the Christian Church of Sizemore.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, along with her husband, Edward Blake, and brother, Raymond Pritt.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Dianna Lynn Brown of Raleigh; son, Edward Blake III of Raleigh; son, Marshall “Pete” Blake of California; and daughter, Rose Ella Blake of Beckley. Lucille also leaves behind seven grandchildren, a great-grandchild, Kiara Lynn Simmons, brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with burial following in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends may gather with the family 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Dove, Sonny Robinson, Bobby Brown, Bob Brown, Brian Purdue and Buddy Flint.

HINTON — Violet A. Fox, 96, of 313 6th Ave., died at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at the Briar Nursing and Rehab Center at Fairlea following a long illness.
Born July 23, 1909, in Covington, Va., she was the daughter of the late James Issac and Leona Wolfe Arrington.
A baptized believer, she attended Riverview Chapel and in later years Faith Baptist Church at Pence Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira L. Fox, in 1979; a daughter, Thelma Swartz, in 1981; four brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by a daughter, Violet Dosier and husband, Jack, of Charleston; two sons, William L. Fox and wife, Dixie, of Jumping Branch and James D. Fox of Hinton; 11 grandchildren, Larry Keffer and wife, Nancy, Rebecca Cyrus, Allen Keffer, Martha Morgan and husband, Wayne, Richard Swartz and wife, Charmaine, Steven Swartz and wife, Dianna, Beverly Frey and husband, Patrick, Sandra Swartz, Joy Bowling and husband, John, Mark Fox, and Pam Bender and husband, Matthew; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and five special caregivers, Nora Eggleston, Josephine Lilly, Delores Hammonds, Frances Adkins and Sharon Hicks.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, Hinton, with Harry Pilkington and Pastor Roy L. Honaker Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Burial Park, Hinton.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Charles Dwight McGraw Sr. passed away in Virginia Beach on Monday, May 8, 2006. He was 75.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Howard McGraw; a brother, John McGraw of Louisville, Ky.; daughters, Colleen M. Hagy (Doug) of Virginia Beach and Linda A. Parr (Jim) of Portsmouth, Va.; sons, C. Dwight McGraw Jr. (Lou Ann) of Virginia Beach and Howard David McGraw (Kerry) of Roanoke, Va.; grandsons, Robert J. Parr III, C. Dwight McGraw III and Clifford C. Hagy of Virginia Beach; grandson, Jacob I. Parr of Portsmouth; granddaughter, Riley Q. McGraw of Roanoke; niece and nephew, Lyn Madison and Patrick McGraw of Lexington, Ky.; and niece and nephew, Amy Good and Dennis McGraw of Louisville, Ky.
Born Jan. 29, 1931, in Asheville, N.C., he was the second son of the late Herbert Dwight “Doc” McGraw and Edna Akers McGraw of Beckley. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley and Ohio Northern University. He was a fan of Virginia Tech football.
Memorial service will be private.

BECKWITH — Daryl Allen “Big D” Rhodes, 39, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, of a sudden illness.
Born Nov. 17, 1966, at Oak Hill, he was the son of Christine May Holly Rhodes of Beckwith and the late Shirley I. Rhodes.
Daryl was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and a construction worker. He enjoyed working and helping other people.
He was preceded in death by his father, Shirley I. Rhodes; and two brothers, Jimmy Rhodes and David Lee Rhodes.
Survivors include his son, Daryl MacKenzie Rhodes of Beckwith; mother, Christine May Holly Rhodes of Beckwith; three sisters, Mildred Dye and husband, Roger, of Beckwith, Beverly Legg and husband, Bo, of Beckwith and Rebecca Rhodes of Oak Hill; and four brothers, Steven Rhodes and companion, Barbara, of Greenbrier County, Rodney Rhodes of Clay, Mark Rhodes and wife, June, of Parkersburg and Roger Rhodes and wife, Krista, of Beckwith.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Maynard L. Kessler officiating. Burial will follow in Rhodes cemetery, Beckwith.
