Helen Marie Belcher
GLEN FORK — Helen Marie Belcher, 71, passed away Monday, June 19, 2006, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was born Feb. 28, 1935, in Stonegia, Va., a daughter of the late Edward and Anna Wingo Shelton.
Helen was a homemaker.
Her husband, Hobert Charles Belcher; a daughter, Judy K. Morgan; a son, Gary Dean Belcher; and a grandson, Joseph P. Morgan, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Timmy Dale Belcher of Statesville, N.C., and Charles Edward Belcher of Glen Fork; a sister, Charlotte Halcomb of North Carolina; a brother, Douglas Shelton and wife, Pam, of Hinton; four grandchildren, Zachary Belcher, Johnny Robert Morgan, Laura Lee Belcher and Heather Wallace Morgan; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Leeann Morgan, Taylor Renea Morgan and Joseph Robert Morgan; along with a host of other loving family and friends.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with the Rev. Darrell Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
Friends may call from noon until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Bessie Tolbert Comer
Bessie Tolbert Comer, passed away Monday June 19, 2006, of a short illness. She was the daughter of William H. Tolbert and Lilly Mann Tolbert.
Bessie was a member of the Little Vine Baptist Church in Beaver and a 1929 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover M. Comer, and three stepsons, Thomas L. Comer, Lawrence G. Comer and Grover M. Comer, Jr. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lee Tolbert; a sister, Pearl Tolbert; and nephew, Jack Tolbert.
Those left to cherish her memory include her nephews, Cecil “Buck” Tolbert and Harold “Dean” Tolbert; and several grandchildren.
Service will be held noon Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with the Norville Mann officiating.
Family and friends may gather with the family one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Jerald Holmes Falls
Jerald Holmes Falls, 57, of Beckley, formerly of Lewisburg, died at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Lucille Golden, with whom he made his home for the past seven years, Sunday, June 18, 2006, following a sudden illness.
Born April 29, 1949, at Hot Springs, Va., he was the son of the late Everette and Fannie Gray Falls.
Mr. Falls was an avid outdoorsman, participating in activities of fishing, gardening, as well as traveling.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Falls, in February of 2004.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Golden of Beckley, Mrs. Carolyn Lester and Mrs. Marolyn Williams, both of White Sulphur Springs; six nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends at the mausoleum 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a eulogy by Jackie Goodall and remembrances by friends.
Following the services, the family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Carolyn Lefter, HC 69, Box 220 Pleasant Valley Road, White Sulphur Springs.

Wanda L. Harvey
Wanda L. Harvey, age 76, of Beckley, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2006, at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Harvey was a resident of Beckley for 53 years. She was born at Lawton, W.Va., in Fayette County, on Oct. 28, 1929, to Edgar and Maude Shepherd Berry. She was the youngest of 10 children.
Mrs. Harvey was a former cashier for L&B Supermarket and the Betsy Ross Baker. She attended the Beckley Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kermit O. Adkins; her second husband, John W. Harvey; four brothers, Elgie Berry, Ira Barry, Leslie Berry and Charles Berry; and three sisters, Delphia Adkins, Emogene Pryor Lilly and Arlene Harrah; and by her oldest grandchild, Lyle D. Richmond II.
Surviving are a daughter, Patsy L. Coleman of Kernersville, N.C.; a son, Kermit O. Adkins II and wife, Johnna, of Beckley; four grandchildren, Laura L. Genter and husband, Charles, of Kernersville, N.C., Landon J. Manning and wife, Jan, of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Kristopher and Justin Adkins, both of Beckley; one great-grandchild, Caroline Aris Genter; a sister, Edith Clement of Abingdon, Va.; a sister-in-law, Maxine Berry of Coal City, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Harvey is survived by a very dear friend whom she considered her second daughter, Clara Gray. Our family wishes to thank her for all the love and kindness she gave our loved one for many years. Mrs. Harvey will be greatly missed by her constant companion, Missy (her puppy).
There will be a memorial service for family and friends before the entombment 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. F.D. Sexton officiating. There will be no visitation.

LOCHGELLY — Jerry Neal Jessup, 54, of Lochgelly, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2006, at home.
Born on July 27, 1951, at Beckley, he was the son of the late William Jessup and Juanita Linville Jessup.
Mr. Jessup was an Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Juanita Jessup; a brother, Linville Jessup; and a sister, Patricia Jarvis.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Jessup of Lochgelly; a son, Jeremy Jessup of Mount Hope; stepson, Tom Shepherd Jr. of Oak Hill; stepdaughter, Tracy Danley of Oak Hill; sister, Nancy Adkins of Texas; a grandson, William Jessup of Clear Creek; and three stepgrandchildren, Heather Shepherd, Thomas Shepherd III and Summer Danley, all of Oak Hill.
