Hansel Lee Jividen, 89, of Hometown died December 31, 2004, at the home of his son, Thomas Jividen, with whom he resided.
He was born April 9, 1915 in Mason County, and was a retired mechanic for AVTEX Fibers, Nitro, with 35 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II with the 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bessie Jividen, his parents, Harold and Delphia Jividen; daughter, Erma Gail Wagner, brothers, Otis, Ernest and Kenneth Jividen, and grandson, Billy Jividen.
Surviving: daughter, Janet Tucker of Hometown; sons, Gerald Jividen and his wife, Freda of New Brunswick, Canada, Ray Jividen and his wife, Cheryl of Falls Creek, Pennsylvania , Terry Jividen and his wife, Charolette of St. George, West Virginia, and Thomas Jividen and his wife, Pam of Hometown; brother, Alvin Jividen and his wife, Maysel of Bancroft; sisters, Deloris Ward and her husband, Chuck of Waldo, Ohio and Margaret Nease of Eleanor; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; caregiver, Sissy Brotosky; many other friends and relatives.
Service was held Tuesday, January 4, 2005, at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with Pastor Ken Carter officiating. Burial was in Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Red House.

He was born May 30, 1935, a son of the late Charles and Marttley Thomas Morrison. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union #5. He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Scott and Cindy Morgan both of St. Albans, and Penny Morrison of Hurricane, and a host of friends and relatives. Lillian Irene Dailey Cabell
Heaven has a new angel, a precious soul to everyone that knew her, Lillian Irene Dailey Cabell, 85, of Barboursville, went to meet her Savior, her family and her many friends, Friday, December 24, 2004. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, December 28, 2004, at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel by Pastor Brad Toney and Pastor Paul Holton. Burial in Forest Memorial Park. She was born September 28, 1919, in Milton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Chauncey and Pearl Rose Dailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Douglas Cabell; a son, Baxter Cabell; a daughter, Charlotte Jeffrey; and seven brothers and sisters. She was retired from Cabell Huntington Hospital after 22 years of service and was a charter member of Roach Baptist Church. She leaves a host of family and friends that will always keep her in their hearts; one daughter, Susie Hall and her husband, Bob, of Barboursville; one sister, Reba Bostic and her husband, Virgil, of Barboursville; a daughter-in-law, Thelma Cabell of Salt Rock; a son-in-law, Randy, Jeffrey of Barboursville; four grandchildren. Angela Blankenship and her husband, Bill, Missy Damron and her husband, Keith, Scott Jeffrey and his wife, Bess, and Amy Beach and her husband, Joey; five great-grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews, and dear friends, Ruth Skaggs and Georgia Venoy, and a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Opal Cabell. Lillian had many relatives and friends who helped with her care.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to all of them, too many to name. Also to Dr. Janet Wallace and her office for their compassion and the special care she received. A part of our hearts may feel empty, but one day that emptiness will be filled when we meet her and our Lord in Heaven.
James Junior Dunn
Mr. James Junior Dunn, 72, of Culloden, W.Va., died Thursday, December 23, 2004, at his residence. Born March 5, 1932, in Apple Grove, W.Va., he was a son of the late James Franklin and Gladys Dorothy Smith Dunn. He was also preceded in death by his son, James Larry Dunn; his sisters, Maxine and Varold; his brothers, Herb, Vernon, Garold and Billy. He retired from Sunoco Fiber Drum, Hurricane and attended the John D. Henson Senior Center, Hurricane, W.Va. He also was a former member of the Milton Moose Lodge and enjoyed camping, car racing and music. Surviving are his wife, Donna Mae Chapman Dunn; his daughters, Linda Lott and her husband Tony, Barbara Hatfield and her husband, Hubert, and Shawna Dunn all of Culloden, W.Va.; Lisa Dunn of Roanoke, Va.; his sons, Doug and Curtis Dunn, both of Culloden, W.Va.; his brothers and their wives, Harold and Jean Dunn of Culloden, Roy and Wanda Dunn of Apple Grove, W.Va., Norman and Pauline Dunn of Thurston, Ohio, Charley and Rose Dunn of Gallipolis Ferry, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one step great-great grandson. Bernice Michero
Bernice Michero, 87, of Simpsonville, S.C, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2004, at Rolling Green Village Health Care Center. She was born on June 5, 1917, in Cherokee County, Iowa, the daughter of the late Otto and Emma Pederson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Nick Michero, and her brother, Leonard Pederson. Mrs. Michero was employed as a pianist and organist at the McConnell Tabernacle in Logan, W.Va., and her and her husband's church home for 30 years, as well as Souls for Christ, Eastwood Baptist Church and Henson Mortuary, all in Huntington, W.Va. In addition, she enjoyed playing for the Vesper Services, Health Care patients and Alzheimer's patients at Rolling Green Village in Simpsonville, S.C, her home for the past 2-1/2 years. She is survived by one daughter, Nikki Angalet and her husband Louis; two grandsons and their wives, Joey and Mandy Angalet of Simpsonville, S.C., and Michael and Michelle Angalet of Woodstock, Ga.; five great-grandchildren, Abigail and Andrew Angalet of Simpsonville, S.C., and Anna, Nicholas and Benjamin Angalet of Woodstock, Ga.; and a very special friend, Walter Scully. She was born November 11, 1933, in Cabell County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Lewis P. and Pearl Harris Smith. She graduated from Barboursville High School and was a retired beautician of 37 years and served longest with Flair Beauty Salon. She was a member of Highlawn Baptist Church. Nancy is survived by two sisters, Edith Cook of St. Albans and Irma Adkins of Huntington; one brother, Marvin Lee Smith of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews. Harold Keith Markins
Harold Keith Markins, 69, of Fort Mitchell, Ky., formerly of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord December 12, 2004 in St. Elizabeth Med Center.
He was the son of the late Albert and Louise Markins and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Maret and son Keith Markins Jr; four sisters, Thelma Fellure, Janie Arbaugh, Marie Fouch, Greta Swann and one brother Kenneth Markins.
He was a retired police officer for Huntington, WV, and Richmond, Va., and a deputy officer for Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was also an Army Veteran of the
Korean War and a member of the American Legion, Lexington.
Survivors include his devoted and loving wife, Beulah Markins; a precious loving daughter, Sheila Vance of Florence, Ky.; a sister, Dorothy Camper of Cincinnati, Ohio; Four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. He also leaves many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. He was a kind-hearted loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him - his smile and memories will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by two brothers, Eugene Mays and twin brother, Bernie Mays; four sisters, Betty Tanner, Eva Wilkinson, Bertha Bailey and Brenda Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. Ernie served his country for 20 years in the United States Army. Heck Funeral Home, Milton, was in charge of arrangements.
Al Wooten
Al Wooten, 58, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2004. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 1, 2005, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Elder Emual Adkins and Elder Eric Adkins. Burial in Adkins Family Cemetery. He was born July 2, 1946 in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of Beatrice Adkins Wooten of Huntington and Ervin Wooten of East Lynn, W.Va. He was a retired employee of INCO, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Happy Hollow Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Wooten. Survivors include two brothers, Dan Wooten and his wife Jeanie of Piketon, Ohio and Freddie Wooten of Huntington; a godson, Marques Thompson of Huntington; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff at St. Mary's Medical Center and to Dr. Eugenia Jarrell, Kyle Webb, and the staff at Wayne Continuous Care.
