Priscilla Davisson
Priscilla Davisson, of Langdon, ND died August 16, 2005 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Pricilla Wamsley was born at Gassaway, to Hugh Herman and Sarah Katherine (Speilman) Wamsley. She attended school in Weston. Priscilla was united in marriage to Oras Herald Smith and they made their home in Ohio. Six children were born to this union. She was united in marriage to Paul Joseph Chilcoat and a son was born to them. She and Paul made their home in Ohio until the early 1980's when they moved to West Virginia. Priscilla and Rockie Davisson were united in marriage on May 28, 1988 in West Virginia where they lived until September 23, 2002 when they moved to Langdon, ND.
Priscilla loved serving people, she was unselfish and very giving. She enjoyed nature and flowers, was a songwriter, loved music and butterflies. She was faithful and active in church.
Priscilla is survived by her husband Rockie of Langdon; children, Sandy (Wayne) Adams of South Gate, MI; Rhonda (Paul) Goad of Sutton; Debi (Jim) Estes of Portland, OR; Wilma Schneider of Green Bay, WI; Chuck (Donna) Smith of Fresno, OH; and Paul Chilcoat of Langdon, ND; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Margaret (Bud) Jones of Weston; Becky Clark of Gassaway; and a brother George Jones of OH.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, son Oras Herald Smith Jr. (Butch), and husbands Oras and Paul.
Visitation was held Saturday, August 20, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon.
Services were Sunday, August 21, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.
Interment followed in the Lebanon cemetery, Langdon, ND.

Erma Virginia Griffin
Erma Virginia Griffin, 85, of Glenville, formerly of Sutton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 20, at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
Born April 21, 1920, in Tioga, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Pearl Ray Cutlip.
She gave herself as a loving wife, mother and professional musician. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, James Richard Griffin; two brothers, Alva and Dennis Cutlip; and six sisters, Audrey Patrick, Opal Skidmore, Eva Grose, Goldie Johnson, Edith Grose, and Reta O'Quinn.
Surviving are her husband, Richard; sons, Buddy Griffin of Glenville, and William Howard "Johnny" Griffin of Mount Nebo; five daughters, Virginia Ruth Brewster of Garrett, IN, Isabelle Louise Bushnell of Kernersville, NC, Violet Lucille Thayer of Sutton, Janet Sue Given of Springfield, MO, and Pamella Annette Gazitano of Bedford, TX; brother, Billy Cutlip of Erie, PA; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, at Walker Memorial Park, Summersville, with her son and daughter, the Rev. Johnny Griffin and the Rev. Janet Sue Griffin officiating.

Thomas Franklin Paugh
Thomas Franklin Paugh, 70, of 158 Homewood Hill Road, Weston died at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born May 8, 1935 in Weston a son of the late Benjamin F. and Nora Betty Riffle Paugh.
On June 20, 1978 he married the former Mary Nicholas who survives.
Also surviving are one brother William Paugh of Orlando and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Paugh was retired from the WV Glass Specialty Co. and was Baptist by Faith.
Friends were received at the Floyd Funeral Home, 402 Main Ave., Weston, Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Russell Furr officiating.
Interment followed in the Peterson cemetery.

James Hornor Rittenhouse
James Hornor Rittenhouse, 93, of Sunset Acres, Weston died at 8:10 p.m., Sunday, August 21, 2005 at the Sunbridge Nursing Home in Glenville following an extended illness.
He was born January 11, 1912 in Walkersville a son of the late Henry H. and L. Floda Rittenhouse.
On June 12, 1937 he married the former Garnet Kincaid who died September 5, 1999. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, William R. and wife Sandra Rittenhouse of Burke, VA.
Two daughters and son-in-law Donna K. and husband Eugene Marques of Bedford, OH and Vicki R. Williams of Marion, NC.
Three granddaughters, Mrs. Mark "Kimberly" Marques Labelle of Solon, OH; Ginger Rittenhouse of Reston, VA; and Stacy Williams of Chicago, IL.
One great granddaughter, Megan Garnet Labelle; one nephew, and niece Ralph and Winnie McKissic and family of Radcliff, KY.
One sister-in-law, Myra Kincaid of Twinsburg, OH.
Mr. Rittenhouse taught for the Lewis County Board of Education in the school system for forty-four years, last teaching at Weston Junior High School, he had served as principal and coach for several of the schools in the county.
He also worked part-time for several years at the Fountain Cut Rate, later Rite Aid Drug Store in Weston.
He was a member of the Weston Lodge # 10 A.F. & A.M., St. Johns Commandry # 8, Nemesis Shrine Temple, Bigelow Chapter # 4 RAM and the St. Matthew United Methodist Church.
Friends may call at the Floyd Funeral Home, Main Avenue, Weston, Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Rupert Evans.
Interment will follow in the Weston Masonic cemetery.
Weston Lodge # 10 A.F. & A.M. will be in charge of graveside rites.

Louis C. Ruble Jr.
Louis C. "Bigger" Ruble Jr., 76, of 681 Town Run Road, Weston, died at 7:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2005 in the St. Joseph Hospital in Buckhannon following an extended illness.
He was born March 20, 1929 in Cumberland, MD a son of the late Louis C. Ruble Sr. and Pearl V. Snyder Ruble.
On May 3, 1947 he married the former Clara Lucille Straley who died August 12, 1999.
Surviving are one brother, Walter Ruble of Weston; one sister, Ruth Eloise Mc Roby, unknown address; one daughter, Peggy Crites Morris of Weston and two grandchildren Nicole Fowler of Charleston and Travis Crites of Pittsburgh, PA.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Mr. Ruble retired from the Louie Glass Factory as a glass blower with several years of service.
He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Friends were received at the Floyd Funeral Home, Main Ave., Weston, Tuesday.
A Prayer Service was held Tuesday from the Floyd Funeral Home Chapel.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2005 from the St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Reverend Fr. John Finnell as celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Machpelah cemetery.

Silbert H. Workman
Silbert H. Workman, 89, of 401 John Street, Weston died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2005 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston following an extended illness.
He was born February 23, 1916 in Gilmer County a son of the late George and Bertha Hewing Workman.
On April 4, 1940 he married the former Dorothy Dell Peterson who died February 1, 1990.
Surviving are five daughters Sylvia H. (husband Roger) Straley and Sherry H. Phillips both of Virginia Beach, VA, Shirley H. Harris of Waco, TX, Sandra H. Wohlever of Miland, OH and Sheila H. and husband George Hallock of Weston.
Three sons Silbert H. "Bud" and wife Darlene Workman of Rock Cave, Sebert H. "Little Bud" and wife Gail Workman of Weston and Steven H. and wife Debbie Workman of Chesapeake, VA.
One brother Junior Workman of MI.
One sister Geneva and husband Henry Ford of Weston.
Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Workman was retired from the City of Weston and was a member of the Victory Assembly of God.
Friends were received at the Victory Assembly of God, Saturday from 11 to 1 p.m. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Victory Assembly of God with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating.
Interment followed in the Machpelah cemetery.

William F. Cunningham
William F. Cunningham, 91, of Brooksville, formerly of St Petersburg, FL died Friday (July29, 2005) at home.
He was born in Jacksonville, WV, moved to Burnsville as a young child, then lived in Morgantown, WV, for more than 30 years. .He and his family moved to Florida in 1983.
William, a Tech grade 4, received an honorable discharge from the Army of the United States on December 7, 1945. He served more than 3 years in HQ Company of the 612TH Tank Destroyer Battalion with battles/campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Ribbon, World War II Victory Ribbon and European African Middle East Services Ribbon. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Glenville State College awarded William an AB degree on completion of the final 2 years after his Army discharge. He earned a Master’s Degree in Education Administration at West Virginia University. After 42 years of employment in Braxton and Monongalia Counties (WV) he retired as Director of Elementary Schools for Monongalia County. He continued his professional membership in WV Retired Teachers Association, National Education Association, American Association of Retired Persons and Phi Delta Kappa fraternity.
Church membership included Wesley United Methodist Church (WV) where he, for a period of time, had served as Superintendent of Sunday School and Allendale United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida. He served as a trustee at Allendale until he requested to be replaced because of his hearing deficit.
William was initiated into the Masonic Lodge at Burnsville, WV. He continued active membership in the Joseph W. Summers Lodge, the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar and in the Commandery of the Royal Arch Masons after moving to Morgantown, WV.
Survivors include his wife of 56years, Glennis (Hudkins); a son John M. and his wife Janice and grandchildren, Reilly and Evan of Bruceton Mills, WV; and a daughter Mary Jo and grandchildren Zachery and Kayleigh Maines of Brooksville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Della (Dalton).Cunningham, a brother, Edward and sister, Lucille.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 4 at 1:30 pm in the St Matthew United Methodist Church, 120 East Third Street, Weston, WV. A nephew, Rev William Joel Duffield, Minister Emeritus, First Christian Church, Jeffersonville IN, will conduct the service with Rev Rupert Evans, Minister of St Matthews, as host.
Interment will follow in the Dalton-Cunningham lot of the Machpelah cemetery, also in Weston, WV. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Allendale United Methodist Church, 3803 Haines Road, St Petersburg, FL, 33703; the American Red Cross; or another of choice.

Linda S. Fisher
Linda S. Fisher, 56, of 62 Riverview Heights, Weston died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2005 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born September 29, 1948 in Lewis County a daughter of the late William Harry and Helen Gainer Marsh.
On October 6, 1967 she married Louie Jackson Fisher who survives.
Also surviving are one son Brian J. Fisher of Weston and two daughters Mrs. Patrick "Barbara" Swiger of Fairmont and Mrs. Jason "Beth" Mulholland of Weston.
Five grandchildren, five sisters Joanne Gum, Betty Louk, Karen Robinson and Donna Lewis all of Weston, Jean Skinner of Hurricane.
Mrs. Fisher was employed at the Crestview Manor in Jane Lew with 18 years of service.
She was a member of the Bendale United Methodist Church and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed raising flowers and her pets including her dog "Buddy".
Friends were received at the Boyle Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday from the Boyle Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff Zickefoose and Reverend Clifford West officiating.
Interment followed in the Forest Lawn Memoral Gardens.
