Esthelene Osborn
Esthelene Mowrey Burton Osborn, 88, of 927 Hershman Road, Horner, passed away at 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2007, in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston, following a brief illness.
She was born in Hutchinson on April 19, 1918; daughter of the late Harry Frame and Winnie (Stalnaker) Frame Williamson.
Esthelene first married Ronzel H. Burton, who preceded her in death bon September 2, 1979. She then married William Freeman Osborn Jr., who preceded her in death on July 3, 1985.
Mrs. Osborn is survived by one daughter, Martha W. Burton of the Georgetown community; and three sons, Allan L. Osborn and wife Karen of Jane Lew, Joseph F. Osborn and friend Kwon of Clarksburg, and Glen H. "Rusty" Burton and wife Kathy of Noala, VA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Angelia M. Austin, Rebecca L. Thomas, Carolyn M. Burton, Daniel H. Burton, Cullen L. Osborn, Emily L. Osborn and Elizabeth W. Burton; and five great-grandchildren, Joshua Austin, Jeremiah Austin, Josiah Austin, Noah Thomas and Zachary Thomas. She is also survived by one brother, James Frame of San Antonio, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Osborn was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Frame.
Mrs. Osborn was a housewife. Earlier in her life, she taught school in a one room schoolhouse in West Virginia. She was a member of the Weston Church of Christ. Mrs. Osborn was a member of the Horner Homemakers Club of Georgetown.
Friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home of Weston on Wednesday, February 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Roy Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgetown cemetery, Georgetown community in Lewis County.

Rosetta Lea Turner
Rosetta Lea Turner, 78, of 2708 Murphy Creek Road, Weston, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2007, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born in Lewis County on August 11, 1928; daughter o the late Jesse Conrad and Roxy (Conrad) Conrad.
Mrs. Turner was married to Virgil Turner, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Turner is survived by five grandchildren, Stacey Wine and Larry Dale Wine, both of Weston, Travis Wine of Orlando, and Rhonda Hawkins and Becky Bailey, both of Edmonton, KY; and four great-grandchildren, Bobby Hawkins, Amber Janes and Brandi and Brittany Bailey. She is also survived by one brother, Wilbur Conrad of Roanoke; three sisters, Pearl Eagle, Gladys Blake and Carrie Detamore, all of Weston; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by one sister, Elsie Blake.
Mrs. Turner was a glassworker and owned and operated Crystal Glass of Weston. She was a Baptist by faith.
Friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home of Weston on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew.

Willard Gean Ash
Willard Gean "Wimpy" Ash, 75, of Jane Lew, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2007, at Holbrook Nursing Home.
He was born on November 12, 1931, in Jane Lew, a son of the late Albert and Edna Florence Goldsmith Ash.
Surviving are one brother, William Ash, Georgia; several nieces and nephews; and three special friends, Carlene Kenney, Jimmie Bleigh and Dennis Gaunt, who looked after him.
Mr. Ash had been employed by Bittner Fuel, White Coal Co., and retired from Grafton Coal Co. after working in the mining business for over 50 years. He was a member of the Eagles and the Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M., Weston. Mr. Ash was United Methodist by faith.
At the request of Mr. Ash, there will be no services. Private interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Pickens.
Spurgeon Funeral Home of West Union handled arrangements for the family.

Thurman Junior Boilon
Thurman Junior Boilon, 74, of 455 Broad Street, Weston, passed away at 1:05 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2007, in United Hospital Center of Clarksburg, following a sudden illness.
He was born on Cove Lick in Lewis County on July 2, 1932; son of the late Thurman Boilon and Lora (Moneypenny) Boilon.
On August 9, 1953, he married Luella Mae (Burkhammer) Boilon, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Luanna Ellen King of Weston; one brother, Leonard Ross Boilon of Weston; one sister, Mary Lou Ross and husband Louie of Shinnston; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one infant son, Garry Lynn Boilon; one infant daughter, Debra June Boilon; and one brother, James Leo Boilon.
Mr. Boilon was a glassworker and worked at the West Virginia Glass Specialty Company and Louie Glass Factory, both of Weston, for 36 years. He was a member of the Bendale United Methodist Church of Weston.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home of Weston on Wednesday, February 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Peterson cemetery of Weston

Elanor R. Cowgill
Elanor R. (Jackson) Cowgill, 92, of 226 Brown Avenue, Weston, formerly of 411 Duncan Avenue, Clarksburg, went home to the Lord at 12:40 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at home, following an extended illness.
She was born in Pensacola, FL, on February 1, 1915; daughter of the late Jacob J. Jackson and Anna Grace (Stalnaker) Jackson.
She was married to Glen W. Cowgill, who preceded her in death in January of 1993.
Mrs. Cowgill is survived by one daughter, Joanne Post of Weston; two sons, Glen W. Cowgill Jr. of Homestead, FL, and John Thomas Cowgill of Lincolnton, NC; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, William Andrew Jackson of Florida; one sister, Nancy A. Jackson of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Lee Jackson, Thomas E. Jackson and Jacob J. Jackson Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Holbert and Betty Parucha.
Mrs. Cowgill was a born again Christian, who shared her beliefs with everyone and a devoted housewife. She was the oldest of eight children. She was a member of the Oak Mound E.C. Church of Clarksburg. Mrs. Cowgill taught child evangelism fellowship classes. For the past several years, she attended the Stone Coal United Methodist Church and the Crawford United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cowgill was a member of the Queen Ester Chapter #11 Order of Eastern Star and a member of the White Shrine, both of Clarksburg.
Friends were received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home of Weston on Friday, February 23, from 1-2 p.m. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carl VanStavern officiating. Interment followed in the Elk View cemetery of Clarksburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Crawford United Methodist Church, 86 Depot Street, Crawford, WV 26343.

Rondall Lee Eagle
Rondall Lee Eagle, of 1630 Limestone Road, Weston, died Thursday, February 22, 2007, at his residence, following a brief illness.
He was born October 1, 1953, in Weston, a son of Anna V. Eagle, who survives.
He retired from Schlumberger as a supervisor and heavy machine operator.
He loved spending time fishing with his son and music of all kinds, playing several stringed instruments.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Debra Jo Eagle, whom me harried July 15, 1975; one son, Adam C. Eagle of Weston; one daughter, Lesley Lynn Eagle-Jones of Burnsville; one grandson, Matthew Tyler Jones of Burnsville; one sister, Sharon Evans of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
The family has followed through with Rondall's request to be cremated.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family at 1630 Limestone Road, Weston, WV 26452.

Clinton F. Flesher
Clinton F. Flesher, 82, of Brewster, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Brewster, surrounded by his loving family following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Midwest, WY, on March 12, 1924 to the late Elijah and Leona (Beeson) Flesher. He and his family moved to Weston, when he was two.
He enlisted in the US Army on January 8, 1944, and served with the 1636th Engineer Construction Battalion, Company C, as a Tech 5. He served in the European Theater and Asian Pacific Theater of Operations during WWII. He worked in the oil fields as a driller all of his life and retired from Canton Oil Well Service.
On July 19, 1947, he married Wilma Fay Ward. She was called home on October 26, 1991.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Clayton Dean; brothers, Coley, Kenneth, and Charles; a sister, Maxine Weisburn.
He is survived by a son, Clinton E. “Red” (Pam) Flesher of Brewster; a daughter, Maxine (Dwaine “Butch”) Dine of New Philadelphia; a sister, Martha Queen of Weston; nine grandchildren, Clinton A. Flesher of Concord, NC, Tia Judd, Jennifer (Mike) Mohler, Seth (Karrie) Robinson, and Cale Robinson, all of Brewster, Bill (Ruth Ann) Dine of New Philadelphia, Charles (Amy) Dine of Urichsville, Jacki Thurston of Dover, and Kathy Wallick of Orrville; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 17 at 1:00 PM at the Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster, Ohio, with Pastor Tal Lewis officiating. Burial followed in the Ft. Laurens cemetery in Bolivar, OH. Friends were received on Friday, February 16, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home or one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Rose M. Hughes
Rose M. Hughes, 64, of 9267 US Highway 33W, Camden, passed away at 4:05 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born in Grantsville on October 14, 1942; daughter of the late Isaac Davis and Almeda (Rogers) Davis.
On January 31, 1964, she married Donnie D. Hughes, who survives.
She is also survived by one daughter, Cindy Hughes Reep and husband Robert of Bridgeport; one son, Cody M. Hughes and fiance Patty of Waynesburg, PA; and two granddaughters, Katlin and Josie Reep. Mrs. Hughes is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Denzil and Donald Davis.
Mrs. Hughes worked as a certified nursing assistant at Holbrook Nursing Home of Buckhannon for ten years. She was a beautician for six years at Coleen's Beauty Shop in Glenville. Rose also upholstered furniture for several years. Most of all, Rose was a housewife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Doyle Chapel United Methodist Church of Camden.
Family and friends were received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home of Weston on Monday, February 26, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Alan Neal officiating. Interment followed in the Collins cemetery of Stumptown.

Stada Elizabeth Lowther
Stada Elizabeth Radcliff Lowther, of Linn, 100 years, 1 month and 6 days old, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007, in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston.
She was born January 16, 1907, at Linn, in Gilmer County, a daughter of the late Perry and Hannah Gay Collins Radcliff.
She was a homemaker and Protestant by faith.
On January 17, 1926, she was united in marriage to John Hoy Lowther, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1971.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Alfred Gail Lowther on May 12, 2000, and Virgil Paul Lowther on November 7, 1991; one daughter, Vergie Mae Jones on October 23, 2004; five grandchildren, James Marks on August 1, 2003, John Hoy Lowther II on August 18, 2006, Tammy Wolf on February 25, 2004, Martha Phillips on January 26, 2003, and Kenny Ray Cahall on July 4, 1971; son-in-law, William Marks; four daughters-in-law, Emma, Sarah Ann, Marie and Donna; five brothers, Minter "Mitt" Radcliff in 1989, Doy Radcliff in 1977, Hoy "Bill" Radcliff in 1999, Alfred "Ap" Radcliff in 2004, and Virgil Radcliff in 1992; and five sisters, Lura Helmick in 1998, Hazel Collins in 1999, Dora Wiant in 1985, Lena Shackleford in 2000, and Alma Radcliff in 1945.
Surviving are four sons, Dewey Leo Lowther and companion Louise of Grafton, OH, Lester Lowther and wife Judy of Camden, Kenneth Lowther and wife Patricia of Weston, and Robert Lowther and wife Vicki of Linn; three daughters, Freda Jones and husband Mark of Marysville, OH, Lettie Marks and companion Eric of Massillion, OH, and Betty Brown and husband Keith of Jane Lew; one son-in-law, Robert Jones of Reedsville, OH; one daughter-in-law, Evaline Lowther of Troy; one brother, Arnold Jackson "Joe" Radcliff of Linn; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the Boyle Funeral Home of Weston on Tuesday, February 27, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, at the Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Clifford West and nephew, Ray Shackleford officiating. Interment will follow in the Hiney Hill cemetery of Linn.

Bobby E. Lowther
Bobby E. Lowther, age 70, of Flatwoods, passed away Monday, February 26, 2007, at UHC in Clarksburg.
He was born March 10, 1936, in Wildcat, the son of the late Boyd and Bessie Mollohan Lowther.
He married Nellie Marple of Greenhill in 1959, and they had two children, son Chet Lowther of Charleston, and daughter, Catherine Bruffey of Ireland.
He is also survived by a son-in-law, John Bruffey of Ireland; and one granddaughter, Cassandra Bruffey; brother, Glen Lowther and his wife Louise of Wildcat; several nieces and nephews; and an overwhelming amount of friends who loved him.
Bob left behind a legacy of generosity and kindness that he exemplified in his everyday life. He owned Bob Lowther Trucking for many years and enjoyed his many travels whether on two or 18 wheels. He was a free spirit with a heart of gold and he loved his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all.
Friends will be received at the Alkire Funeral Chapel of Ireland on Friday, March 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, from the Alkire Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Lowther cemetery at Wildcat.

Ottie W. Moore Jr.
Ottie W. Moore Jr., 82, of Weston, died Thursday, February 22, 2007, at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, Clarksburg, following an extended illness.
He was born July 30, 1924, in Holcomb, a son of the late Ottie W. Moore Sr. and Deema Bess Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Sibyl Norma Barnett Moore; five sons, David W. Moore and Michael E. Moore, both of Charleston, SC, Eddie N. Moore, Jerry E. Moore and Glen K. Moore, all of Weston; four daughters, Joretta J. Parmer, Patty L. Paugh and Susand D. Parmer, all of Weston, and Anna M. Moore of Buckhannon; one brother, Alva Moore and wife Lavonne of Craigsville; three sisters, Betty Davis of Craigsville, Judy Sparks and husband Howard of Craigsville and Millie Nickerson and husband Bob of Ravenna, OH; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Bruce S., Terry J. and Ottie P. Moore; one brother, George Moore; and two sisters, Ann Tucker and Mona Cutlip.
Ottie previously worked at the Weston State Hospital in the water treatment center. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during WWII.
Friends were received at the Floyd Funeral Home of Weston on Monday, February 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, at the Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Russell Furr officiating. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew.
