Hinzman L. Rohrbough
Hinzman L. “Pete” Rohrbough, 97, of Webster Springs, passed away Friday, February 5, 2010, at the Webster County Memorial Hospital.

Pete was born November 11, 1912, in Weston, to Wade and E. Pearl (Hinzman) Rohrbaugh. Pete served in the U.S Army during WWII. He and his wife Ercel (Robinson) moved to Webster Springs in 1938.

Pete worked at many things including: glass worker; school teacher; school bus driver; attendance director; probation officer; private investigator; municipal judge among other things.

He was a member of: First Baptist Church of Webster Springs; Addison Lodge AF & AM; Royal Arch Chapter #38; Webster County Senior Citizens and Retired School Teachers.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 2 brothers and a sister.

He is survived by nephews, Leon and Red Whited of White Sulphur Springs, Richard Whited of Birmingham, AL, Kenneth Clutter of Rising Sun, MD, Clarence Clutter of Buckhannon, James Clutter of Ireland, Johnnie and David Clutter and Allen Boggs of Webster Springs, and Bruce Clutter of Big Chimney; nieces, Mildred Petty of Decatur, IL, Grace Ann Barger of Cowen, and Suzie Young of Bolair.

Friends were received on Sunday, February 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Monday, February 8 at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home. Hinzman “Pete” was laid to rest in the Machpelah cemetery in Weston.

Marjorie Summers
Marjorie “Peg” McClain Summers, 81, of 3058 Old Rt. 33 Horner, went to be with the Lord, February 4, 2010 in the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. She was born on Middle Run, Lewis Co., WV, August 14, 1928 the daughter of the late Alva and Jessie McClain. On June 2, 1946 she married Robert “Bob” Summers who still survives.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters Alicia A. White & (Kenneth) of Cumberland, Maryland, and Phyllis J. Bailey & (Paul E.) of Griffin, Georgia; also surviving is one grandchild Aaron P. Bailey.
Mrs. Summers was preceded in death by one sister Geraldine White and one brother Leonard McClain. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Mrs. Summers retired as postmaster at Horner, WV. She and her husband had the Village Store in Horner for many years. Peg was an active member of the Horner United Methodist Church where she was the pianist, choir director, taught Sunday school class, and was a member of the Administrative Council.
Friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 North Main Avenue, Weston on Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 1-3 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve White officiating. A private graveside side service will be held on Monday at the West Virginia National cemetery in Pruntytown.

Virginia Mae Titus
Virginia Mae "Jenny" Titus, 73, of Sycamore Road, passed away peacefully from an extended illness February 6, 2010, at the United Hospital Center.
She was born July 19, 1936, in Cannelton, the daughter of the late Pearl and Bessie Mae Starker Nickoson. Jenny was the youngest of 13 children.
On June 7, 1959, she married Timothy Wayne Titus Sr. who died March 7, 2007.
She is survived by six children, Timothy Wayne Titus Jr. and wife Pam of Salem, Kimberly Sue Butler and husband Russ of Henagar, Ala., Kenneth Eugene Titus of Clarksburg, Gary Lane Titus and wife Wanda of Weston, Rose Anne Spencer and husband Tim of Clarksburg, and B. Scott Titus and wife Terrie of Jane Lew. She is survived by a sister, Betty Bainbridge; and a brother, Herb Nickoson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren. She cherished her role as "Mama 2" to her youngest grandson.
Jenny was employed for many years as a loving caregiver to the elderly.
In her last years, she was lovingly cared for by her dear friend of 52 years, Juanita Roach.
She enjoyed books, bingo, The Food Network, the Crimson Tide and family get-togethers at her home.
Visitation was held Tuesday at the Morris Funeral Home in Jane Lew. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tim Hughes officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Lebanon cemetery at Kincheloe.

Michelle Lynn Ables
Michelle “Mickey” Lynn Ables, 45, of 974 Washburn Ave, Clarksburg,
passed away Monday, November 22, 2010, on Rt. 50 Clarksburg following an automobile accident.
She was born in Long Beach, Calif., on May 12, 1965, daughter of Cecil Morris and Ellen (Bond) Shifflet.
Michelle is survived by one daughter: Lindsey Ables of Weston; and two sons: David Ables of Clarksburg and Jeremy Ables of Weston. Also surviving is one grandchild: Tyruss Ables. She is also survived by three sisters: Louise Heater of Roanoke, Darlene Parker of Walkersville, and Vicky Conrad of Crawford.
One brother, Ricky Cottrill, preceded her in death.
Michelle loved to spend time with family and her grandson.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, on Wednesday, November 24, from 4 -7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Richard Cutright officiating.

Virginia D. Carder
Virginia D. Carder, age 95 of Good Hope, departed this life
on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at the Willows Nursing Home in Parkersburg.
She was born in Benson, on June 17, 1915, a daughter of the late Garnett Coffindaffer and Beryl (Walker) Coffindaffer.
Her husband of 73 years, Ernest E. “Buck” Carder, Sr., preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Lou Burch, Vienna, and Shirley Alkire, Weston; two sons, Robert Carder and his wife Debbie, Jane Lew, and Toby Carder and his wife Carol, Vienna; one brother, Billy Lee Coffindaffer and his wife Norma, Morgantown; 8 grandchildren, Adam Carder, Amber Carder, Justin Cayton, Todd Carder, Melissa Carder Anderson, Donnie Burch, Crystal Alkire Kumar and Linda Alkire Sprouse; 7 great-grandchildren, Jesse Anderson, Erica Anderson, Emily Burch, Alexis Kumar, Derrick Snyder, Melissa Snyder Heckert and April Snyder Long; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Jonah Heckert; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Robert Coffindaffer; and an infant daughter, Luanne.
Mrs. Carder was a loving homemaker.
There was no visitation or service. At her request she will be cremated.
Her cremains will be interred at Good Hope Masonic cemetery.

William H. Clem
William H. Clem, age 89, of Buckhannon, passed away on November 16, 2010, at the Holbrook Nursing Home in Buckhannon.
He was born January 27, 1921, in Weston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma Mays Clem; wife, Mary J. “Jocie” Loudin Clem; brother, Robert Clem and nephew,
Robbie Lee Clem.
Surviving is his daughter, Judy Rae Clem of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; nephew, Ronnie Clem of Buckhannon;
niece, Emily Thomas of French Creek; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clem was a car salesman and had served in the US Army during WW II.
The family received friends from on Thursday, November 18, at the
Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel. Graveside services were held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 19, at the Indian Camp cemetery.
The VFW Post 3663, American Legion Post 7 and the DAV Chapters 5 and 36 honored Mr. Clem with full military rites.

Sharon Marie Cox
Sharon Marie Cox, 66, formerly of Alum Bridge, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Glenville Care and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
She was born September 26, 1944, in Monroe, La., a daughter of Wilber H. Cox of Alum Bridge and the late Mary Dolores Stark Cox.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Elaine Cox.
Sharon was Catholic by faith.
Friends were received Friday, November 19, at Boyle Funeral Home, Weston. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, at St Boniface Catholic Church with Father Leo Lydon celebrant. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Weston.

Lundyn Lee Frey
Lundyn Lee Frey, infant son of Jason Allen Frey and Alicia Shannon Murvine Frey of Weston, passed away Friday, November 19, 2010, at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Rozalynne Faith Frey of Weston; one brother, Bryce Dale Huffman of Buckhannon; maternal grandparents, William J. and Roberta Ratliff Murvine of Burnt House; paternal grandparents, Kimberly A. and Elizabeth Evix Frey of Buckhannon; great-grandmother, Hazel Evix of Elkins; one aunt, Nicki and Bill Dennison of Burnt House; and two cousins, Haylie Jean Dennison and Dillon Waitman Dennison.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Fredrick Blain Sharps
Fredrick Blain Sharps, 87, formerly of Weston, died Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Holbrook Nursing Home, Buckhannon, following an extended illness.
He was born November 19, 1923, in Clarksburg, the son of the late William Blain Sharps and Dessie Myrtle Sprouse Sharps.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Idell Dennison.
He is survived by his sister, Leona Runnestrand of Weston; and one niece, Sharon L. Runnestrand of Weston.
Fred retired from the Weston State Hospital as a cook with over 26 years of service.
He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during WWII.
He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, at Boyle Funeral Home, 322 Main Avenue, Weston. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, at the Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmie Joe Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Peterson cemetery, Weston.

Janet Louise (Queen) Wilt
Janet Louise (Queen) Wilt, age 62, of Buckhannon, died Monday, November 22, 2010. at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born July 23, 1948, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late William Kenneth and Nellie Waugaman Queen.
She is survived by two daughters, Denise “Dee” Brown and husband Thomas of Buckhannon and Tami Jo Wilt of Buckhannon and a student at A-B College in Philippi; one grandson, Zach Post and wife Courtney of Elkview; two brothers, Lowell and wife Anita (Karickhoff) Queen and Randall and wife Loretta (Woody) Queen all of Buckhannon; one sister, Carol Jean Walton of Buckhannon; former husband, Steve Campbell of Buckhannon; former husband, A. Price Wilt of Moorefield; many special nieces and nephews and many special great-nieces and great-nephews.
Janet graduated with the BUHS Class of 1966. She had worked at Clow Corporation, Union Drilling and Moore Business Forms. At the time of her death, she was working part time as an office clerk in an oil and gas firm. She also worked part time at L & H Pipeline in Buckhannon.
She was a member of the Way Of Holiness Church and enjoyed the many members of her church family and the activities and fellowship she was included in. She also enjoyed music and singing.
She was a former 4-H Leader and CEO’s member in the Lewis County Community of Vandalia.
Friends will be received Sunday, November 28, from 3-5 PM and 6-8 PM at The Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Jerry Murrell and the Rev. Dave Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorentz cemetery in Lorentz.
Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in Charge of the arrangements.
