Ruby Jane Eubank
Ruby Jane (Harper) Eubank, age 85, of 190 Middle Run Road at High Knob, Braxton County, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown, due to a sudden illness.
She was born March 18, 1927, seventh child to the late Jesse Levi Harper and Rosa (Prunty) Harper of Braxton County.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mamie Ambrose, Pearl DeWitt and Lucille Hickman; and one brother, Lester Harper.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 66-years, Charles H. Eubank, whom she married Nov. 4, 1946 in Oakland, Md.; her five children, Nancy (Howard) McKay of Jane Lew, Harold (Barbara) Eubank of Jane Lew, Mary and Doris Eubank of High Knob and Mitchell (Shirley and her family) Eubank of Flatwoods; her two wonderful grandchildren, Alisa Eubank of Jane Lew and Jonathan (Cassie) Eubank of Weston; her special sister-in-law, Clara Mae Eubank of Heaters; two step-grandchildren, Steven McKay of Jane Lew and Karen Wilfong of West Milford; Three step-great-grandchildren and five step- great-great-grandchildren.
Ruby is also survived by her beloved siblings, three sisters, Emma Harbert of Clearwater, Fla.; Glenora Eubank, Geneva of Ohio and Ethal Gay Krevetski of Bridgeton, N.J.; five brothers, Earl Harper of East Liverpool, Ohio, Cecil Harper of Newell, Herbert Harper of New Cumberland, Jesse G. Harper of Hampton, Va., and Larry Harper of Strasburg, Va.; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-laws; nieces, nephews and one beloved grand-dog, Cookie McKay.
Ruby completed her elementary education and went to 9th grade at the Lost Creek High School. She completed her high school education at Charleston High School and graduated in 1946.
She was a member of the the High Knob Methodist Church, a homemaker, a devoted wife, a wonderful mother and a great cook. She could always make the best biscuits, rolls and pie crust without a recipe.
She always kept a great sense of humor and loved sharing good jokes and laughter.
She also enjoyed bluegrass and gospel music.
She will be remembered as a very strong, good and loving person who always gave her best to others with her kind and loving ways.
Family and friends will be received at the Green-Robertson Funeral Home at Sutton on Friday, Nov. 23, from 6-8 p.m.
Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, at the funeral home followed by a burial at the Mt. Hebron cemetery in Braxton County.

Margie Lou Goldsmith
Margie Lou Goldsmith, age 85, formerly of Weston, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Crestview Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Jane Lew, following an extended illness.
She was born October 15, 1927 in Orlando: daughter of the late John Edward Fretwell and Alma Gay Gaston Fretwell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brooks Goldsmith; one daughter, Sharon K. Goldsmith; one sister, Stacie Westfall; and one brother, John "Jack" Fretwell.
She is survived by one son, John A. Goldsmith of Pennsylvania; one brother, William "Bill" (Bernice) Fretwell of Akron, OH; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Margie was a cook with Lewis County Schools for 23-years.
She was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church of Weston.
Friends may call from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Boyle Funeral Home, 322 Main Avenue in Weston.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Boyle Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Peterson cemetery, Weston.

Wayne L. Hedrick
Wayne L. Hedrick, age 58, of Virginia Ave, Jane Lew passed away at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg following an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 29, 1954 in Harman: son of the late Otis Pennington and Edith Hedrick.
He is survived by one son, Dustin Hedrick of Jane Lew; two daughters, Vanessa Hedrick of Niles, Ohio and Angela Rieder of Hadley, Pa.; five grandchildren, Trinity, Tanner, Isaac, Maddox and Sprocket; three brothers, Otis Pennington Jr. of Seneca, Richard Pennington of Belington and Roger Hedrick of East Dailey; two sisters, Rosalie Thompson of Elkins and Anna Ruth Wynn of Texas; two step-children, Emilee Pickens of Weston and Bradon Riffle of Jane Lew; and caretaker and friend, Jareubal Jones of Jane Lew .
Wayne was preceded in death by an older brother, Thurman Hedrick. He was raised by the late Frank and Edith Shreve. Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman and was loved by everyone.
Mr. Hedrick was a member of the Grace Baptist Temple and was retired from the Sharpe Hospital with 18-years of service.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corp.
Friends and family gathered at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service 144 Hackers Creek Road, Jane Lew, Saturday, Nov. 17, from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, from the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Brown assisted by the Rev. Homer Parsons officiating.
At Wayne's request, he will be cremated and interment will follow in the WV National cemetery at Grafton with full military honors.

Mrs. Kathleen Horner
Mrs. Kathleen Rebekah (Rollyson) Horner, age 78, of Brown Avenue in Belington, departed this life Tuesday November 13, 2012 at her home. She had been in declining health for quite some time.
She was born April 17, 1934 in Weston: daughter of the late Russell and Millie Marie (Watson) Rollyson.
She was united in marriage on Aug. 1, 1964 to Robert Earnest Horner Sr. who survives.
She is survived by five children, Mike Thompson of Belington, Timothy Thompson of N.C., Charles "Bill" Thompson of Ariz., Robert "Bobby" Horner Jr. of Belington and Barbie Horner of Belington.
She is also survived by one brother, Dale Rollyson of Fla.; several grandchildren, Rebekah Horner, Robert Horner III, Daniel Horner, Holly Thompson, W.C. "Chuck" Thompson, Charles Thompson, Jason Thompson, Jessica Thompson, Daniella Thompson, Ashley Johnson, Timothy Thompson, Jenny Thompson, Chris Thompson and Angie Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Syrena Horner and Greysen Mayle.
She was preceded in death by one son, Roger Thompson; several siblings, Wanda Deluca, Bob, Buster, Warren, Gene and William Rollyson.
Mrs. Horner graduated from Weston High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, canning and sewing. Before becoming ill, she attended the Belington Church of the Nazarene.
Friends were received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 11 - 2 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 17. At 2 p.m., the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jimmie E. Tallman officiating. Interment followed in the Crawford cemetery near Weston.
In lieu of flowers the family asks the memorial contributions be made to Talbott Funeral Home P.O. Box 879, Belington, WV 26250 to help with final expenses. Netti Virginia John
Netti Virginia John, age 72, of South Park, Morgantown, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.
Netti was born in Sewickley, Pa., on Oct. 21, 1940: daughter of the late James P. Saltzer and Ruth E. (McVicker) Saltzer. She was raised by her grandparents, Archie Ray and Susan McVicker as well as her aunt, Nettie Gagner.
She attended Neville Island High School. She worked in retail management at Fashion Bug, David Weis, Lilly's Gold Jewelry and finished her career at the CSC department at WVU.
She is survived by her husband of 36-years, Robert Patton "Bob" John; her three sons; Scott Paul (Heather) Weimer of Richmond, Va., Mark William (Kate) Weimer of Baltimore, Md, and Richard Thomas (Carla) John of Fairmont; five grandchildren; Alexandra Terrel Stevenson, Paige Elisabeth Weimer, Kelsey Morganne Weimer, Izaiha Thomas John and Dominick Joshua John; and one brother, Thurrel "Bucky" Norman, of Monaca, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and aunt.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday, Nov. 21, from 9:30 a.m.. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove cemetery.

Harold G. Kennedy
Harold G. Kennedy, age 86, of 209 Grass Run Rd. Weston, passed away early Friday, November 16, 2012, in the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, following a brief illness.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1926, at Clendenin: oldest son of seven to the late H.O. and Lilly Hayes Kennedy.
On Sept. 15, 1947 he married the former Joan Corathers who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Linda (Roger) Allman of Weston, Sherry Kennedy of Fla., and Patty (Randy) Hammond of West Milford; one son, Larry (Sandy) Kennedy of Belington; six grandchildren, Stephanie Gillis, Robert Rinehart, Jessica Heimbach, Amanda Kennedy, Matthew Kennedy and Kansas Hammond; and five great-grandchildren.
He was the oldest of seven children and was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Mr. Kennedy was the owner and operator of Kennedy Tire Service in Weston for over three decades. He was a member of the Haleville Union Mission Church in Weston, where he served as Song Leader for over 25-years and was recently elected Sunday School Superintendant. He loved to serve the Lord and spent many hours helping those who needed assistance in the community.
Harold enjoyed working in his yard and growing the most beautiful flowers. He devoted many hours to his woodworking shop, making Christian decorative wall hangings that he gave away generously to many. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II and was a 1944 graduate of Glenville High School.
Friends called at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew, Sunday, Nov. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 19, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
Funeral services were held at 12 noon Monday, Nov. 19, from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William J.B. Gum and the Rev. Bob Phillips officiating. Interment followed in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, where the Lewis County Honor Guard conducted full military honors.

Mary Alice McGill
Mary Alice McGill, age 88, of Chardon, Ohio, formerly of Jane Lew, passed away at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Blossom Hill Nursing Home in Huntsburg, Ohio, following an extended illness.
She was born on April 9, 1924 in Big Springs: a daughter of the late Lester and Della Pearl Workman.
She is survived by five sons, Walter Workman of Kincheloe, Porter Lee McGill of Salem, Vaughn McGill of Thompson, Ohio, Kenneth McGill of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Michael McGill of Thompson, Ogui.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jane Martin of Chardon, Ohio and Sally Fine of Parkersburg. She had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hoag and three brothers Oley, Ray and Dan.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family.
Friends and family may gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd Jane Lew, on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 2-3 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 3 p.m., with Rev. John Radcliffe officiating.
At Mary's request, she has been cremated and the family will have a private interment at Mt. Lebanon cemetery in Kincheloe, at a later time.

Hope Turner Dawkins
Hope Turner Dawkins, age 90, of Weston, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew, following an extended illness.
She was born July 25, 1922 in Weston: daughter of the late Frank Means and Clara Turner Means.
She is survived by one son, Craig Dawkins of Weston; two grandsons, Byron Dawkins and Christopher (Sophia) Dawkins; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Hope retired with 37-years of service with the phone company, beginning her career with C&P Telephone and concluding with Verizon.
She was Methodist by faith and enjoyed showing saddle bred horses and walking horses. She was a member of the Lewis County Boot and Saddle Club, West Virginia Horseman Association and Interstate Horseman Association, serving as director for many years.
Friends were received Saturday, Dec. 22, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the Boyle Funeral Home, 322 Main Avenue in Weston.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. at the Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Brown officiating.
Interment followed in the Weston Masonic cemetery.
