Dawn R. Kelley
1964 - 2006
Dawn René Kelley, 42, of Cheyenne, died Sept. 14, at home with her family at her side after a long struggle with cancer.
She was born July 10, 1964, in Cheyenne and had lived here all of her life.
Dawn graduated from East High School in 1982. She earned an Associate's Degree at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas. Returning to Cheyenne, her professional career included 14 years at Wyoming State Department of Criminal Investigation. Most recently, Dawn worked with Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne, where her efforts had a positive impact for hundreds of children in the community and allowed her to fulfill a dream of work that would truly make a difference.
Dawn was creative, energetic, gentle and kind - hearted. She loved butterflies and enjoyed planting flowers and caring for her landscape. Dawn will be missed especially for her sense of humor, her inquisitive nature about people, and her passions for music and for sharing time with friends and family.
Dawn is survived by her son, Jesse James Ellis; her mother Linda Kelley; her father, Gary Kelley; her brothers, Matthew Kelley and David Kelley; her grandparents, Maj. Aus. Ret. Carl and Marcia Wake; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and her life - long friend, Rebecca Bayne.
The memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Berean Church, 5716 Powderhouse Road.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to a fund (Jesse Ellis Memorial Fund in Memory of Dawn Kelley), 5002 Linden Way, Cheyenne, WY 82009.

Jacqueline Hutchison
1948 - 2006
Jacqueline Hutchison, 58, died Sept. 15 in Vancouver, Wash.
She was born March 8, 1948, in Detroit, to Jack and Evalyn Wurtz. Jacqueline lived in Cheyenne until 1991 when she moved to Fort Collins, Colo., then in 1997, she and her husband moved to Vancouver.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband, Larry, of Vancouver; her son, David Almodovar, his wife, Julie and their two children, Toran and Brynn, of West Lynn, Ore.; her parents, Bob and Evalyn Johnson of Cheyenne; three brothers, Bobby Johnson and his wife, Natalie, of Lakewood, Colo., Gerry Schmidt and his wife, Robin, of Cheyenne, Gene Schmidt and his wife, Rhonda, of Cheyenne; two sisters, Jere Finley of Granby, Colo., and Anne Schmidt of Cheyenne; and Jacqueline's best friend, Cheryl Wilson, of Cheyenne.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur "Buddy" Schmidt and both her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Wayne K. Thrasher
1958 - 2006
Wayne K. Thrasher, 48, of Cheyenne died Sept. 15, in Cheyenne.
Mr. Thrasher was born May 16, 1958, in Boise, Idaho.
He retired in 1996 from the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Thrasher is survived by two daughters, Chrissy Orling of Puyallup, Wash., and Kimberly Frentheway of Cheyenne; his father, Wayne F. Thrasher of Blythe, Calif.; a brother, Doug Thrasher of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Robyn Kip of Riverside, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lila Thrasher.
A private family service will be held. Friends may contribute to the American Heart Association.

Eleanor O. Trujillo
1921 - 2006
Eleanor O. Trujillo, 84, of Cheyenne died Sept. 18 at United Medical Center - West.
Eleanor was born on Nov. 19, 1921, in Ledoux, N.M., and moved to Cheyenne with her husband in 1940 where she lived the remainder of her life.
She was a homemaker and worked at United Medical Center for 10 years until her retirement.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter and son - in - law, Annette and Frank Valdez; a stepdaughter, Betty Ortega; five grandchildren, Caroline Ross, Brenda Trujillo, Richard Trujillo Jr., Nathan Trujillo and Frank Valdez Jr.; three stepgrandchildren, Ernie Martinez, Larry Ortega and Ronnie Ortega; 10 great - grandchildren, Krista Ross, Micayla Ross, Juliana Ross, Emma Valdez, Madeline Valdez, Miyanna Trujillo, Zachary Trujillo, Nicholas Trujillo, Marissa Trujillo and Marinda Trujillo; and two sisters, Bertha Naranjo and Della Fresquez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anastacio "Joe" Trujillo; two sons, Joe Trujillo Jr., and Richard Trujillo; her parents, Daniel and Rebecca Abeyta; and three brothers, Henry Abeyta, Richard Abeyta and Joe Abeyta.
Funeral Liturgy will be 9:30 a.m. today at St. Mary's Cathedral with the Rev. Michael Carr as celebrant.
Casketbearers will be her grandchildren, Caroline Ross, Brenda Trujillo, Richard Trujillo, Jr., Nathan Trujillo, Frank Valdez, Jr. and Jonathan Ross.
Interment will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
Friends may contribute to St. Mary's Cathedral Guild, c/o Linda Corso, P.O. Box 1268. Cheyenne, WY 82003.

Karen S. Hall
1952 - 2006
Karen Sue Hall, 53, of Burns died Sept. 18, in Burns.
She was born Nov. 10, 1952, in Greeley and was a veterinary technician.
She is survived by two sons, Charles C. Campbell of Burns and William Art Campbell of Mobridge, S.D.; three brothers, Michael Hall of Ault, Colo., Kerry Lynn Hall of Hillsdale and Dale Hall of Grover, Colo.; two sisters, Audrey Diana Twitchell of Laramie, and Vicki June Ditsch of Cheyenne; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur P. and Marian C. (Myers) Hall and a brother, Gary Dean Hall.
Private family services will be held.

Wannabelle S. McNiff
1914 - 2006
Wannabelle S. McNiff, 92, of Cheyenne died Sept. 19 at Life Care Center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1914, in Denver.
She was a homemaker and a member of Episcopal Church.
Mrs. McNiff is survived by her son, Pete McNiff of Cheyenne; a daughter, Martha Johanson of Blue Hill, Maine; four grandchildren and one great - grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jack McNiff; and a sister, Fern.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Laramie with the Rev. Robin Chance officiating.
Friends may contribute a charity of choice.

Leona M. Adels
1942 - 2006
Leona M. Adels, 64, of Pine Bluffs died Sept. 17 at United Medical Center - West.
She was born May 28, 1942, in Kimball, Neb.
Mrs. Adels was a homemaker.
She married Ronald Adels on Dec. 28, 1986, in Wells, Nev.
Mrs. Adels is survived by her husband, Ron Adels of Pine Bluffs; four daughters, Julie Kranz of Carpenter, Liane Anderson of Windsor, Colo., Melissa Schardt of Burt, Mich., and Tina Anderson of Cheyenne; three stepdaughters, Rhonda Burke of Cheyenne, Jennifer McKillit of Oregon and Jodi Faulk of Kansas; a sister, Evelyn Culek of Pine Bluffs; 20 grandchildren; four great - grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lynn Gossett; her parents, Earl Myron and Melissa (Woodcock) Anderson; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Schrader Chapel with the Rev. John Rasmussen officiating.
Cremation to follow at Schrader's Sunset Park Crematory.
Arrangements by Schrader Funeral Home.

Larry W. Sackett
1946 - 2006
Larry W. Sackett, 60, of Cheyenne died Sept. 17 at United Medical Center - West.
He was born Jan. 25, 1946 in Las Cruces, N.M.
Mr. Sackett was a member of the Rocky Mountain Bowling League. He was a utility inspector for the Board of Public Utilities.
Mr. Sackett served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy whom he married Feb. 14, 1991, in Cheyenne; two step - sons, Don Meyer of California and Greg Meyer of Cheyenne; his parents, Clarence and Ruth Sackett of Golden, Colo.; one sister, Ruthie DeCamp of Wasilla, Alaska; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Sackett.
Memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with Chaplin Pat Bradley officiating.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Stanley E. Birt
1923 - 2006
Stanley E. Birt, 82, of Arizona City, Ariz., died at home Sept. 18.
He was born Dec. 23, 1923, to Alfred and Olive (Bader) Birt.
Mr. Birt had been residing in Arizona for more than 20 years. Stanley was in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Arizona City, Arizona City Moose Lodge Post No. 1038 and loved his dogs, motorcycling and RVing.
Stan leaves behind his wife, Karen; two sons, Trent Birt of Sacramento, Calif., and Roy Birt of Wheatland; two step - sons, Sean Foy of Yuma, Ariz., and Patrick Foy of Phoenix; two daughters, Gerry DeVille of Phoenix, and Jackie Benson of Montrose, Colo.; one step - daughter, Kirsten Hoffmeister of Ruckersville, Va.; one sister, Phyllis Behrends of Cheyenne; 14 grandchildren and three great - grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Schrader Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pine Bluffs Cemetery.
Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Honor Guard.
