Charles W. Wagner
1924 - 2006
Charles Warren (Bud) Wagner, 82, of Cheyenne died Nov. 9.
He was born in Boulder, Colo., on Jan. 6, 1924.
He was the fifth of seven children born to Earl and Winifred Wagner. Two years after graduating form Boulder High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served 26 months in the South Pacific where he saw action in various parts of New Guinea before ending his tour in the mountains of Manila, Philippines. He earned the Asiatic Campaign Ribbon with two oak clusters and a spearhead as well as the Philippine Liberation Medal with one oak cluster. After the war, Charles moved to Laramie where he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. He met Dorothy Workman Edwards in May 1966 and they were married on June 17, 1967. Dorothy had four children and Charles embraced them as his own, and they him. After 42 years working as a traffic agent for the Union Pacific, he retired in 1983.
Charles had a passion for hunting, fishing, golf, and just being with nature. He believed you could find God wherever you sincerely looked for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sanford, Joe, Robert, Paul and sisters, Maxine Stussy, and Frances Morrissey.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Lauren Andree, Martha Karnopp Chaput, Nancy Burnskill, and son, Bill Edwards, and their spouses. He had eight grandchildren and three great - grandchildren.
Charles was past president of the Union Pacific Junior Old Timers Club No. 13 of Laramie and Club No. 1 of Cheyenne, and a life member of the Union Pacific Old Timers Club No. 2 of Cheyenne. He was a member of the NRA, and a past member of the VFW, Elks, American Legion and AFAM No. 54. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Cheyenne.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Cheyenne at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Bob Garrard.
His cremains will be interred in the Greenhill cemetery in Laramie.
Wiederspahn - Radomsky is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to the Boys' and Girls' Club of Cheyenne, 1710 Snyder Ave., Cheyenne, WY 82001.

Paul D. Paschal Jr.
1949 - 2006
Paul Douglas "Doug" Paschal Jr., 57, of Wheatland died Nov. 10 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Denver, Colo.
Mr. Paschal was born June 18, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas, the oldest child of Paul Douglas Paschal Sr. and Betty Lorraine (Ferguson) Paschal.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Wheatland United Methodist Church with Pastor Skip Perry officiating and Dennis Lubbers as the eulogist.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wheatland Golf Course, American Cancer Society or to a charity for children.
The Gorman Funeral Homes - Platte Chapel of Wheatland is in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis M. Behrends
1925 - 2006
Phyllis M. Behrends, 81, of Pine Bluffs died Nov. 10 in Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 29, 1925, in Kimball, Neb.
She was a cook for Pine Bluffs Senior Center.
She married William F. Behrends on Feb. 26, 1944, in Torrington.
She was a member of Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church, Past Matron of Order of Eastern Star, she taught Sunday and Bible School, was president of the PTA in Pine Bluffs, and served as the secretary treasurer of Saddle Club. She loved horses and painting.
She was survived by a son, William Behrends of Shoshoni; three grandchildren and nine great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Behrends; her parents, Alfred and Olive (Bader) Birt; brothers, Stanley E. Birt, Alfred Birt Jr., and Dale Birt; and a son, Richard Behrends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pine Bluffs Baptist Church with Pastor Dan DeBruyn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Weller, Jason Haynes, Aaron Behrends, Ken Macy, Skip Ray and Roy John Birt. David Branigan will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Friends may contribute to the Pine Bluffs Ambulance Fund.

Romona J. Helms
1967 - 2006
Romona J. Helms, 39, of Pine Bluffs, died Nov. 7 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.
Miss Helms was born March 26, 1967, in Cheyenne.
She enjoyed her privacy and led a simple life reading and watching her favorite television programs.
Miss Helms is survived by five sisters, Lori Garcia, RosaLee Garcia, Frances Redden, Jane Saavedra and Maresa Marquez, all of Pine Bluffs; three brothers, Elvin Helms Jr. and Russell Marquez, both of Pine Bluffs, and Adam Marquez of Cheyenne; and 25 five nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wade George Helms, her mother, Michele Marquez and her father, Elvin Helms Sr.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. today at St. Paul's Catholic Church with Rev. Ray Rodriguez officiating.
Interment will follow in Pine Bluffs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rosendo Saavedra, Russell Marquez, David Garcia, Felipe Helms, Craig Garcia and John Frances Garcia.

Angelo H. Moore
1931 - 2006
Angelo Hugh Moore, 74, died Nov. 10 at the Veterans Affairs medical center in Cheyenne.
Mr. Moore was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Briggsdale, Colo., and had lived in Cheyenne for 50 years.
He was a member of American Legion and the VFW.
Mr. Moore was a flight engineer for the Wyoming Air National Guard and fought in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Moore whom he married July 3, 1986, in Cheyenne; his sons, David Moore, Danny Moore and Harry Moore; a daughter, Wanda Moore; 11 grandchildren and four great - grandchildren.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Newton and Helen Rosalie Moore.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Friends may make memorial contributions to the American Lung Association.

Dorothy M. Carter
1914 - 2006
Dorothy M. Carter, 92, died Nov. 8 in Cheyenne at Mountain Towers Healthcare Center.
She was born Feb. 12, 1914 in Fremont, Neb., to Anton and Mary Johnson.
She lived most of her life in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the last five years in Hillsdale and Cheyenne.
She married Hugh Carter.
She worked for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad in Council Bluffs for 30 years in the trainmaster’s car department.
She is a former member of First Christian Church of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She was a Radio Talking Book volunteer for 30 years, reading over the air and recording books.
She is survived by her niece, Marilyn Repshire of Cheyenne, and other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Carter; children, Kenneth and Elaine; and her sister, Hazel Nystrom of Cheyenne.
Friends may contribute to Radio Talking Book Service, 7071 Newport Ave. No. 205, Omaha, NE 68152.
Graveside services were held Monday at Westlawn - Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha.
