Richard Tufford
1928 - 2007
Richard Tufford, 78, of Cheyenne died April 2 at the Cheyenne Veteran's Affairs Hospital.
He was born Sept. 30, 1928, on his parent's homestead in Goshen County.
Immediately after his birth the family lived in Scottsbluff, Neb., area for five years, moving to Cheyenne during the summer of 1933.
Mr. Tufford was in the Cheyenne school system until he joined the Navy in 1945.
After he was discharged, Mr. Tufford entered an apprenticeship program offered by Cheyenne Newspapers. When he became a journeyman printer, he worked for newspapers in Cheyenne, and other newspapers in the region, until he retired.
Richard was a member of the Typographical Union, The American Legion and Alcoholic's Anonymous.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Richard is survived by a brother, two daughters, one son and six grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.

Tracy R. Kelly
1938 - 2007
Tracy Rosalie Kelly, 68, died April 4 in Cheyenne.
She was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Wheatland.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Nellie Short, and her sister, Donna.
There will be no services.

Marion L. Peters
1918 - 2007
Marion L. Peters of Pine Bluffs died at his home on May 1.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1918, in Decatuar County, Iowa. He moved with his parents, Clara and Henry Peters and older brother, Paul, in March 1919 to a farm south of Pine Bluffs on the old Black Hills Highway. At the age of 17, he committed his life to Jesus Christ and faithfully served his Lord throughout his life.
He was a man of strong faith and character influencing those around him.
Marion lived his entire life in the area moving north of Pine Bluffs in 1933, except for his tour of duty during WWII with the 140th Infantry, 35th Division. He began his military duties in March 1941, and was honorably discharged in December 1945, after four years and nine months of service.
Marion married Helen Anderson, April 19, 1944, at the Albin Baptist Church. Upon his discharge from the army, he and his wife moved to a farm south of Albin.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughter, LaRae and Delbert Blocker of Newcastle; two sons, Marvin and Donna Peters of Albin, and Howard and Ceil Peters of Prescott, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Alan and Jane Blocker of Gillette; Daniel and Jennifer Blocker of Las Vegas, Nev.; Anna Peters of New York City, Amanda Peters of New York City, and Amy Peters of Spearfish, S.D., and future grandson, Mike Haynes, also of Spearfish; and two great - grandchildren, Corbin Blocker and Kyli Blocker. He is also survived by four brothers, Paul of Pampa, Texas, Max of Greenfield, Mo., Myron of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Jack of Girard, Ill.; two sisters, Louise Peters of Mt. Grove, Mo., and Peggy Ann Jones of Miami, Okla.
Marion was a member of the Albin Baptist Church. He served actively in his church and in the community.
Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Albin Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Albin Cemetery with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Albin Baptist Church.
The pallbearers are his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Albin Baptist Church.

James E. Sanchez
1958 - 2007
James E. Sanchez, 48, died April 30.
He was born Sept. 23, 1958, in Worland.
He worked for various slaughter plants as a butcher and on the drilling rigs. He enjoyed fishing and barbequing.
Mr. Sanchez is survived by his wife, Jody Sanchez; his daughter, Shalee Sanchez and children, Cindy Sanchez, James Sanchez Jr., both of Hillsboro, Ill., Leo and Adam Sanchez of Cheyenne, Reuben Sanchez of Worland, Erica Sanchez of Fresno, Calif., Chandelle, Katrina and Kaysha Sanchez, all of Omaha, Neb. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
He is further survived by three brothers, Raul Sanchez and his twin brother, John Sanchez, both of Worland and Ruben Sanchez of Iowa.
A vigil for the Deceased will be held at noon today at Schrader Chapel with Father Bill Hill officiating.
Funeral Liturgy will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father Glen Szczechowski as celebrant.
Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Reuben Sanchez, Leo Sanchez, John Sanchez, Thomas Sanchez, Dylan Sanchez and Sam Torrez.
Friends may contribute to 420 W. College Dr. No. 42 for the education of his daughter, Shalee.
Arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.

Anthony P. Ojeda
1973 - 2007
On May 1, the beloved family and many friends of Anthony Patrick Ojeda lost their "gentle giant."
For all those of who loved him - his 34 years were much too short.
However, they know that during that time he laughed often loved much and shared great joy with everyone he met.
He was born Feb. 28, 1973, in Cheyenne.
Anthony was a network technician for Laramie County School District No. 1.
He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
He leaves behind his wife, Monique Ojeda of Cheyenne; two beautiful daughters, Jordyn Ojeda and Peyton Ojeda, both of Cheyenne; his father, Louie Ojeda of Cheyenne; two brothers and sisters - in - law, Richard and Lisa Ojeda and Steve and LaVelle Ojeda, all of Cheyenne; grandmother and step - grandfather, Sara Padilla and Tony Perez, both of Cheyenne; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Mary "Bea" Ojeda on Sept. 26, 2005; and his nephew, Isaac Ojeda.
Anthony's greatest love was his family. He cherished his three girls.
He was Monique's first and only love and he was devoted to her and their precious daughters.
At home with them, he found true happiness.
Anthony's relationship with his own parents was one of profound strength.
His loved ones take some comfort in knowing that he is joined with his mother, Bea.
Anthony loved cheering on the Raiders, loudly and enthusiastically.
He loved Mexican food (especially tostadas) and enjoyed a ton of Tabasco sauce.
He enjoyed fishing and camping and some of his fondest memories were traveling with his family throughout Wyoming and neighboring states on summer camping trips.
Anthony lived every day to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Vigil for the Deceased will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father Ray Rodriguez officiating.
Interment will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
Friends and family may contribute to an education fund for Anthony's daughters, in care of Monique Ojeda, 3530 McComb Ave., Cheyenne, WY 82001.

Robert Poston
1929 - 2007
Robert Poston, 78, of Broken Bow, Neb., died April 27.
He was born Jan. 31, 1929, in Callaway, Neb., with prior residence in Pine Bluffs.
Mr. Poston was a farmer.
He is survived by two daughters, Betty Ann of Tennessee and Diane of Nevada; two step - sons, Keith Oliver and Kenny Oliver; a brother, Lynn Poston of Cheyenne; two sisters, Carol Webber of Longmont, Colo., and Vivian Hersh of Nebraska; and several grandchildren and great - grandchildren.
Mr. Poston was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Poston, on June 24, 1994; two step - sons, Kevin Oliver and Kurt Oliver; and his parents, Frederick and Evelyn Poston.
Graveside services and interment will be 1:30 p.m. today in the Carpenter Cemetery with the Rev. Carol Opdycke officiating.
Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
