Raymond 'Ray' McNeel
Graveside services for Ray McNeel, 77, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Afton Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will take place on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 from 3-9 p.m. at Schwab Mortuary in Afton. Raymond Waugh McNeel was born on Aug. 29, 1932 in Afton to Glidden and Elizabeth McNeel the second child of 10 and the oldest son of seven boys. He passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, Wyoming. He was raised on the McNeel family ranch in Alpine and attended elementary school in Etna. He graduated from Star Valley High School in 1952 and in 1958 he went to a welding trade school in Cleveland, Ohio. Raymond was inducted into the U.S. Army and served in South Korea. He received an honorable discharge from the military in 1957 and returned to Alpine where he worked on the family ranch and in the Glidden McNeel and Sons Hunting Camp on Elk Creek. In 1965 he moved to Huntington Beach, Calif., where he was married to Penny Heap.
Raymond worked at various jobs in California until 1966 when he took a job with McDonnell Douglas. He worked a total of 28-years with McDonnell Douglas before retirement. After his retirement in 1995 he spent summers and falls in Wyoming and moved back to California during the winter months. Raymond became a resident of the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo in March of 2005 where he lived until the time of his death. Raymond attended a school of dance in California and spent his leisure time on a ballroom dance floor and touring the state in his black corvette. He had a deep passion for fly fishing and spent many hours fishing on the Snake River, Greys River and Salt River near the family home and also in the Wind River Mountains. He is survived by four children and their families; one son Matthew McNeel of Idaho Falls, Idaho; three daughters Amy Chord of Francis, Utah; Audra Shumway of Cottonwood, Idaho; and Jana Bryant of Afton; four brothers Paul McNeel of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Edwin, Merrill and J.C. McNeel all of Star Valley; and three sisters Julia Ritchey of Buffalo; and Erna Deutz and Cheryl Tarrell both of Grafton, N.D. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Glen R. and Clifton L. McNeel.

Don Wendell Wood
Funeral services for Don Wendell Wood, 95, will be held on Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Afton Third/Fourth Ward LDS Chapel. A meeting with family and friends will begin at 10 a.m., prior to funeral services at the church.

Caitlyn Nelson
Funeral services for Caitlyn Nelson, the daughter of Jeremy and Meghan Nelson, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at the Thayne LDS Stake Center at 1 p.m. Viewings will take place on Friday, Sept. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at the Thayne mortuary and Saturday at noon prior to funeral services at the church.

Grace Paules
September 2, 1919 - May 5, 2008
Grace Paules, 88, died May 5, 2008, in Laramie. A memorial service was held at the United Presbyterian Church in Laramie at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 9 with the Rev. Vickie Kintzel officiating. A private burial took place earlier at Greenhill Cemetery in Laramie.

Margaret Lampman
November 25, 1957 - September 17, 2008
Memorial services for Margaret “Dede” Lampman, will be held at 2pm Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at the Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Marie Fitts officiating. Cremation has taken place. Margaret died at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb. on September 12, 2008. A memorial has been established to the family for funeral expenses. Colyer Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Michael Walsh
February 27, 1961 - September 10, 2008
Memorial services for Michael Walsh, 47, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church with Caleb Burton officiating. Michael died Sept. 10, 2008, at his home in Torrington. Cremation has taken place.

Frances L. (Steidley) Bowsher
November 28, 1927 - May 8, 2010
Funeral services for Frances L. (Steidley) Bowsher, 82, will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11 at Fort Laramie Presbyterian Church in Fort Laramie with Reverend Jane Busey officiating. Interment will be in the Fort Laramie Cemetery.
Frances Bowsher, a resident of Fort Laramie, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Community Hospital.

Crystal Nicola
April 22, 1927, July 8, 2010
Graveside services with Eastern Star Rites were held for Crystal Nicola, 83, Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Prairie Rest Cemetery in Guernsey with the Rev. Bill Walker officiating. Crystal died on July 8, 2010 in Casper. The Colyer Funeral Home of Torrington was in charge of the local arrangements.

Jolene Fay Goodro
July 26, 1978, June 30, 2010
A funeral service for Jolene Fay Goodro, 31, was conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at the First Christian Church in Wheatland with Pastor Andy Gudahl officiating.
She died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at her home in Wheatland.
Jolene was born July 26, 1978, in Wheatland.

Carolyn Domson
Dec. 1, 1940, July 14, 2011
Memorial services for Carolyn Domson, were held Monday at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel. Carolyn died July 14, 2011, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming from a sudden illness and cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to the Community Hospital Auxiliary in Torrington.

Charles “Chuck” Coffman

Charles "Chuck" Coffman, 77, longtime Ogallala, Neb., resident, died Saturday, July 2, 2011, in the Ogallala Community Hospital.
Chuck was born July 28, 1933, in Yuma, Colo., the son of Jay and Violet Crabtree Coffman. He graduated from high school there.
He started working for Massey Ferguson at the age of 17.

Esther M. Neider
March 10, 1926, July 7, 2011
Funeral services for Esther M. Neider, 85, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Esther died July 7, 2011 at Community Hospital in Torrington. A memorial has been established to the Torrington Senior Friendship Center Meals on Wheels.

TORRINGTON - Dan R. McMichael, 79, passed away peacefully on April 11 in Vancouver, Wash., surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 6, 1932, in Laramie to Floyd and Doris McMichael.
Dan was first and foremost a family man and is survived by his cherished wife of 58 years, Janet.

Bonnie R. Machan
March 7, 1928 – April 25, 2012

TORRINGTON – Bonnie Rose (Brittenham) Machan, 84, died April 25 in Riverton.

Bonnie was born March 7, 1928, north of Fort Laramie, the daughter of James Ellis and Gladys Irene (Potter) Brittenham.

In 1946 Bonnie was married to Leo Joseph Machan in Harrisburg, Neb. Bonnie started her working career as a waitress, and then worked in several downtown Torrington businesses including JC Penney, Monroes Plastics and Castles Bakery.

Later she became co-owner of the Torrington Bargain Center with Rachel Kapke for 19 years. After that Bonnie worked at Gambles for nine years and Mel’s Gift for nine years before retiring in 2003.

Bonnie enjoyed camping, fishing, and in later years her pinochle card club. Bonnie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 65 years and Women of the Moose at different times, the last being 19 years.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; mother and father, Gladys and James.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Larry, of Riverton, and his fiancé, Donnalee Hernandez; her brothers and sisters, James Brittenham, of Cushing, Okla., Marilyn Meyer, of Wood River, Neb., Lee Brittenham of Cushing, and Norma Cummings, of Shattuck, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 2 at the Valley View Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to either the Fort Laramie Presbyterian Church in care of Charles Potter at HC72, Box 386, Fort Laramie, WY 82212; or to the Torrington Volunteer Fire Department.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home.

William Henry ‘Bill’ Bahmer

LINGLE, Memorial services for William Henry ‘Bill' Bahmer, 75, was held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Lingle with Rev. Curtis Hill officiating. Bill passed away at his home, and cremation has taken place.

Miknis, Carol Bennett, 64, Laramie, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo.
A funeral vigil with visitation will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Newman Center. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Newman Center.

Mobley, Curtis “Curt” Glenn
1958-2002
Mobley, Curtis “Curt” Glenn, 44, of Greeley, Colo. died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 5, 1958 in Cheyenne, a son of David and Marlene (Franz) Mobley. He attended public schools in Dubois, Cody and Powell. He graduated from Powell High School in 1976. He attended the University of Wyoming where he ran cross country and track for two years. He was a member of the NCAA Championship Cross Country team in 1976. He graduated from Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D. with a degree in Industrial Arts in 1982.
He created the comic strip “Joey Foozle” and worked on numerous cartoons that appeared in magazines and newspapers. He lived in Laramie for several years after graduation. Later he moved to northern California where he pursued cartooning and animation. His animated film, “Have A Nice Day,” was screened at numerous film festivals. He moved to Colorado Springs, Colo. in 1991 where he worked for Apple Computer and other tech companies. In 2000, he moved to Greeley, Colo. to work as a multimedia designer for Paradigm Technologies. He simultaneously ran his freelance businesses Green Skull Publishing and Toondude.com.
He is survived by his parents David and Marlene Mobley of Bandon, Ore.; a sister, Karen Mobley of Spokane, Wash.; and numerous friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the University of Wyoming Foundation at P.O. Box 3963, Laramie, WY 82071 or to the charity of choice in care of Moser Funeral and Cremation Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, CO 80620.

Nancy J., Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home. Funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church with Father Ray Moss celebrant. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

Burkett Jackson
Burkett Jackson, 71, Laramie, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital.
